What does Scripture tell fathers?

▶ Watch this part (2:06)

Short answer: Do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 2:06 Amen. Does this in Ephesians 6:4 fathers do not provoke your children to anger but raised them in the fear of the admonition of the Lord with bow our heads and pray Lord we answered that you give us the strength and the courage of the boldness to seek after you to follow after you and trust it obey you we ask that you open our eyes to the wonders things of your law teach our fathers to do the duty that you’ve commanded us to do to not provoke our children to anger but the rays demand the fear the admonitions of a petition of the Lord and we thank you Lord and we appreciate you or sit in prayer today. The we.

▶ 12:52 Came down. These times of uncertainty comes we look to you and say how great you are how great you are Jesus. You are in control and you’re everywhere all the people. In brazil to care for those for those in. For Jesus we call upon you as we proclaim that you are through. Jesus that we will sing. He’s your greatness forever them we love them loaded at the end she would let them stand aside all the father’s today God it’s a strength and courage waters to live for you Jesus and they find.

▶ 14:01 Oh that he cleansed the temple and we know that he was calm cool collected but a father is a lot of things you can’t just take one thing. Today in America one in four children live in a home without a father. Child growing up without a father is four times more likely to be at risk to live in poverty they’re more likely to have behavioral problems without a father. There are two hundred seventy nine percent more likely to carry guns and deal drugs. Two times more likely to. Drop out of high school. More likely to face child abuse and neglect and seven times more likely to become pregnant as a team and there’s more statistics that say that.

What happens without fathers?

▶ Watch this part (15:05)

Short answer: Children repeat the same mistakes; fathers must be there, provide and raise them.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 15:05 Children that grow up without a father they repeat the same thing. They repeat the same mistakes so as time goes by things get worse and worse as fathers are not involved and absent from their children and I just went quickly online and found a list of things that fathers do for their children loving fathers they say are supposed to love their children’s mother grow up you can’t be a child raising children you got to be you got to be dad that’s dad he’s you know you can’t be playing video games all day oh did you do anything today honey no I just played video games with my kids I’m supposed to be involved right.

▶ 15:59 Don’t go to work not responsible that’s what I’m trying to say you’re not grown up be there. Provide. Raise them to be independent teach them to take responsibility and lastly discipline and also love right and kids we like certain things about dad right we like certain things we like dad when he loves us and holds us you know when I pick up Aaron and I hold her you know she loves that part she doesn’t have to walk number one and she I’m just a free ride. But there’s also the other part of the father and that is discipline. Teaching you to be independent teaching you to take responsibility for your life and you cannot throw that out when it comes to the father.

Did Jesus cleanse the temple?

▶ Watch this part (17:01)

Short answer: Yes, twice; He would not let His Father’s house be a house of merchandise.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 17:01 We’re gonna look at Jesus the son here now Jesus cries it says in the Bible he cleansed the temple two times two separate times once. Right when he started his ministry right after turning the water into wine and then once again right before he died so one time at thirty and one time at thirty three and in John 2 verse 14 it says he found in the temple those who sold oxen and does and the money changers doing business and he made a whip of cords he drove them all out of the temple the sheep and oxen poured out the changers money and over turned the tables and he said to those he said take these things away do not make my father’s house of you I want you to recognizes my Father’s.

▶ 17:54 House a house of merchandise. And so here we have the son of God he’s not gonna put up with our junk in the house okay he wasn’t invited you notice he wasn’t invited he just showed up and he took charge and later we’re gonna talk about that. And when he says my father’s house he’s telling the world I am the son of God my father I am the son. And the people where we’re misusing God’s house for their own game to promote themselves promote their idea promote what they wanted to promote and then God’s saying that’s not that shouldn’t be you’re making my house a house of merchandise when it should be a house of prayer.

▶ 18:48 And in Jeremiah and Isaiah it says a house of prayer for all nations. And it says and it explains in those chapters in Jeremiah and Isaiah that the foreigner coming from another country can come to the house of prayer that’s made for all nations no matter where you’re from what country you’re from what your culture is God’s house is a house of prayer for you. It is not a white religion it is not an American religion God’s house is a house for every country and every nation and of course they asked him this question what sign do you show. What’s not show us a sign that you have what how come you you just came in and threw everybody out.

▶ 19:47 Where’s your where’s your certificate. Why do you get to do this and of course then he responds he said destroy this temple and three days I’ll raise it up basically he just cut to the chase you want to stop me kill me. And later they did. So two years later two and a half my sorry three years later just before being crucified this thing happens again now God changes what he says. Then Jesus went into the temple of God he drove out all those bonds sold it doesn’t talk about a whip this time no maybe God’s be nicer who knows. He drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple overturned the tables and he took say out of here and this is what he says it is written my house you know it’s a difference my house.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

John 2:16 (NKJV)

And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!”

— John 2:16 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 17:54

What should God’s house be?

▶ Watch this part (20:53)

Short answer: A house of prayer for all nations, but you have made it a den of thieves.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 20:53 Shall be called a house of prayer for all nations but you have made it a den of thieves. And then they said to him tell us by what authority are you doing these things who has given you authority said I asked him the question again and he get and he he asked them a question of course he doesn’t answer their question because they didn’t answer his question. And so it is like that in America today who who are the ones letting. These people sell in the house of Lord the leaders the priests the scribes are letting this go on and in America today we have church leaders and churches that are allowing the violation of God’s word in God’s house.

▶ 21:52 God is love they’ll quote some scripture but we have here we have homosexuality always being promoted in churches sin is being promoted and that’s not right the church is not your place to promote your sin the church is a place for homosexuals and every section more person every person who has sin in their life to come repent and turn everyone. You know is a homosexual welcome to come in yes but just like the homosexual just like the stealer the thief the murder we must repent. God is love but he is also a God of discipline and he will address you and he will not put up with your junk he gave him three years to change and they did not change.

▶ 22:52 He gave him a lot of time to change and and that’s what happens if you don’t change if you don’t listen to what is truth God’s just gonna come in and he’s gonna take over and that’s what we want amen you know we feel like we don’t have much control here and we don’t have much control but God is in control and he’s going to step into the church and he’s going to start rattling the cages and he’s going to start tossing things around but we don’t have to let it get there as the church. We have another picture of mr. Copeland and this is he’s being interviewed about I mean if you look at his property he’s got this all this acreage with an airport he’s got I mean it’s just obvious. It’s hot be his you know he’s profiting from God’s house for his own gain that’s not right that’s not right first Corinthians six chapter 19 do you not know that your body is the temple so now not only is God talking about church leaders and churches and pastors he’s looking now to the individual.

Who is the temple?

▶ Watch this part (24:12)

Short answer: We are; we can allow our lives to become a den of thieves. Be holy, for I am holy.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 24:12 We are the temple and we can allow these bad things into our lives. We can allow our lives to become a den of thieves. Hophni and phineas in 1st Samuel 2 verse 22 they were having sex with the women who assembled at the door of the tabernacle of meeting they were doing they were being sexually immoral you know do you have this in your life they were people were getting drunk at the communion table none in the New Testament you know are we abusing ourselves when we go home and nobody’s wrong Bible says we are the temple. We are the temple we’re not supposed to conform ourselves to our former lusts but he says I’ve called you to be holy.

▶ 25:17 Be holy for I am holy. Amen so God’s looking for us to also take responsibility. To clean up our end. Amen. It’s not just the church it’s not just those bad leaners it’s every individual has a responsibility you and are in charge of your life you are in charge of the decisions you make you are the one that allows things to come into your life. And so he cleanses the temple two times and I want to stop here and I want to think about some things so first is. This what we do.

▶ 26:11 Jesus cleanses the temple this happened at the beginning let’s see here right here he did it at the beginning of his ministry he’s 30 years old he comes to the temple he cleanses it right three years later he comes and he has to do the same exact thing why because they allowed it to happen again and God is asking us this morning are we do when we invite Jesus to cleanse us do we wait for him to come back and cleanse us again three years later because that all that stuff we were doing all this sin we were doing has returned. Do we just say oh God cleanse me this one time. You know it’s okay now long did it take did it take a week did it take a month before you brought it all back in.

▶ 27:05 Did it take a year. We don’t know how long it took before they started selling again we don’t know how long it took before they started changing the money and doing all that but that’s what God is asking us today. Do we just go back to the same bad behavior after Jesus has come and cleansed us second thing. We do not have to let it become such a big problem you see when God shows up here he’s there’s a lot of commotion and there’s a lot to clean up and he does it twice and there’s this big ol event happening in your life and maybe you got an event happening like that’s huge and and and just massive and and it feels like your life is a mess and God’s.

▶ 27:59 Coming he’s trying to shake you and he’s doing all this commotion in your life he’s something’s happening a storm. It doesn’t have to be that way. Now remember they did not invite Jesus he came. You see when you invite Jesus on a daily basis into your life the maintenance is already done three years later he it’s if you’re doing this daily three years later you’re not gonna be cleaning out everything again. When you go to Jesus and invite him to come in consistently daily that’s called the relationship. He is doing that cleansing all the time and we need the cleansing amen we mess up amen but we got to go to God every day we got to go to God consistently and say God change this idiot michael.

Is God’s correction love?

▶ Watch this part (29:12)

Short answer: Yes. Whom the Lord loves He corrects.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 29:12 For God loves whom he corrects. You see the Bible says God is love right God’s correction is love that’s what the Bible says. Correction is love and we don’t like that just just as the father and the son and whom he delights you see a father will correct his son hey son don’t go and fall off the cliff you’re gonna get hurt I love you I want you to live. And that’s a very basic example but God you know some of the stuff is basic sexual immorality is gonna get you stds don’t do it but the world is just what they want their freedom to sin and do wrong. And. They have to pay the consequence so we’re going to look at two people today maybe three on God correcting them and their response and our response is very important and we’re going to quickly go into this a woman of Canaan came from that region cry out to him saying have mercy on my daughter is severely demon-possessed but he did not answer her he did not answer her he ignored her ooh.

▶ 30:34 He didn’t answer me I’m not talking to him again. You know if if today’s people took their approach to Jesus right now they’d be gone at the first problem Jesus didn’t answer me I’m done I prayed I got me he’s prayed one time I’m done. His disciples came and urged him saying send her away she’s always crying after you know this lady is persistent that’s what you got to be with Jesus you got to be persistent you got to ask and keep asking but he answered and said I was not he said this to her I was not sent. Except to the lost sheep of Israel I was not sent to you I’m not here right now to help you you know maybe in America you know it’s not on God’s calendar to come to elsinore maybe it’s not on God’s calendar to do something right now in your life it’s not on his camera I’m not involved with you right now but she said please she comes and gets down on her knees and worship sans Lord helped me.

How did the Canaanite woman respond?

▶ Watch this part (31:48)

Short answer: She knelt, worshiped and called Him Master even when He spoke hard words.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 31:48 She is saying God give me an appointment now I need to see the doctor now. This is good I. Mean look at this woman she is overcoming obstacle after obstacle because she is humbling herself persistent asking and keep asking what a response it is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs ah wow and so here comes the correction in. Revelations chapter 22 verse 15 the Bible says but outside are dogs sorcerers sexually immoral murderers idolaters whoever loves and practices a lie when you look up that word dog it’s a despicable person. Somebody who is done horrible things in their life and I know you can think about people that have done horrible things maybe somebody that has raped a little girl killed her ripped you know all these horrible stories we were here and and they keep doing it’s despicable it’s wrong and this.

▶ 32:59 Lady had done things in her life that were despicable. She was a Canaanite woman Canaanites back in the day they would sacrifice their children on the altar they would do things during worship of their gods that were wrong having sex with all this bad stuff and Jesus knew who she was she knew he knew she was a despicable person and he is correcting her and saying you’re no good and this is her this. Is her response. Even the little dogs eat the crumbs from the master’s table and what does she do here she calls him master. She calls him her master and she acknowledges she’s it she’s done these horrible things she admitting she’s wrong and she’s.

▶ 34:02 On her knees she’s worshipping him and she’s calling a master submitting herself unto him you see this is how you get deliverance in your life. This is how you get on Jesus’ calendar right now. And. Jesus answered her and says o woman great is your faith she had to go through the correction she had to go through the humbling of herself she had to do all that but sheena you know what she got on God’s calendar that day she got an appointment right then and God healed that daughter of hers. Jesus healed that daughter powerful. Why because this woman submitted herself to Jesus humbled herself accepted the correction and responded right and you see sometimes we deserve this kind of correction sometimes we deserve to be called things by God because we are guilty and today.

▶ 35:11 In our current climate if God came to somebody and said this to them would they get upset most likely but that it doesn’t matter where from what person you what culture the color your skin God is going to deal with you correct you your the question is how will you respond. The parable of the vine dressers now Jesus is going to the next group and that is the Pharisees and he tells him a story in Matthew chapter 21 there was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard leases divine nurses went away on a long journey came back or no he went away and he sent his servants to go and cook you know. Receive its fruit and they.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 15:25-27 (NKJV)

Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”

— Matthew 15:25-27 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 34:02

What did the parable of the vineyard show?

▶ Watch this part (36:06)

Short answer: They beat and killed the servants and the son; the chief priests knew He spoke of them.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 36:06 Cast the servants out they got rid of the servants beat him stoned them killed one and then he said you know what they’ll respect my son so they sent he sent his son and of course this story is talking about God God is the one who’s gone away on a long journey he sent his servants the prophets to warn the Israelites to change and repent okay they didn’t listen to the the prophets so he says I’m gonna send my son whose son is who Jesus Christ so they say he said God says you know they’ll respect my son but Jesus shows up and the behind dresser saw the son and they said this is the heir come let us kill him and seize his inheritance you know we are the one we want the temple we’re in charge we want these people we want to be in charge we want we’re gonna get the messiah and we’re going to take over and have our kingdom where gonna be we’re gonna get the inheritance we’re gonna be rich.

▶ 37:12 Then therefore so they killed the son in this example therefore when the owner of the vineyard comes what will he do to those vine dressers and the Pharisees the scribes and the priests this is their answer to Jesus their sin they’re like why would oh my gosh this is a horrible thing and their answer to Jesus was he will destroy those wicked men and lisa’s vineyard to others that are worthy of it and right there they condemn themselves and then Jesus goes on to say I say to you the kingdom of God will be taken from you and they realized at that point that Jesus was talking about them. So here is the correction God the father right there he is correcting his children and how.

▶ 38:08 Do they respond. When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard and perceived that he was speaking of them they sought to lay hands on him they wanted to beat him they wanted to stone him they wanted to kill and they got angry and see this is the other response we can have when Jesus the father corrects us we get angry and we reject it. And lastly we’re going to look at the woman with the issue of blood. But going back here God is asking us today and he’s reminding us how will we respond to his correction. How loyal you at home where you’re at in your life how will you respond with his correction just with his word when his word comes and pricks your heart and these parables are are and you read them are you reading them are you reading them do you hear God’s word how will you respond to God’s word does the right response is to humble yourself and repent.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 21:35-45 (NKJV)

And the vinedressers took his servants, beat one, killed one, and stoned another. Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them. Then last of all he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’ So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him. “Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?” They said to Him, “He will destroy those wicked men miserably, and lease his vineyard to other vinedressers who will render to him the fruits in their seasons.” Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. This was the LORD’s doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes’? “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it. And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.” Now when the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they perceived that He was speaking of them.

Who touched Jesus?

▶ Watch this part (39:25)

Short answer: Many thronged Him, but one woman reached out in faith; we must go to Him, not wait.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 39:25 Luke chapter 8 verse 42. He went as. He went the multitudes throng him they were all over him. They were you know there was not a lot of space there’s a big crowd and a woman with the flow of blood for 12 years who spent all her livelihood on physicians came and touched the border the hem of his garment we know this story and immediately her flow of blood stopped she was healed and Jesus says who touched me now you got all these people around but he is stopping he knows who touched him he knows her name Jesus saw her coming. Jesus saw her leaving where she was to come and touch him she knows who touched him but right now he’s trying to say and use her as an example to the crowd he’s saying who touched me who came to me reached out and touched me.

▶ 40:39 And they say master the multitudes throng and press you and you say who touched me. Somebody touched me I perceive that power has gone out of me and God is trying to tell them when you reach out when you respond right when you humble yourself when you reach out to touch me I’m gonna do something in your life. You’re going to receive power and it’s happened over and over in our lives as you seek him when you’re looking for a lot when when you seek God he comes and just touching his presence sometimes is enough for that power to to give you just strength and dry and more than that he can give more than just his presence and answer some salvation something he will bring it when you reach out to him.

▶ 41:40 Like it’s been said in the past we cannot just think oh God knows my address he can’t come and we’ll chat when he shows up no it’s not how it works. The first lady you think she was waiting around know this demon-possessed girl is going crazy and she needs a solution. And she went and found Jesus they aim woman with the issue of blood she wasn’t waiting for Jesus to show up at her door she went to him and those on line those washing on line you cannot stay stagnant you cannot just stay complacent are you seeking God do you have a design your heart to get off off of your butt on Sunday morning go to church and find and seek him every day do you take time to get off your butt set aside time well you don’t understand yes I do understand.

▶ 42:40 Everybody understands everybody’s got work to do everybody’s got to get up feed everybody’s got and well not everybody has kids some people don’t understand. Are you making time for Jesus. Are you setting aside time are you see seat are you searching for him like these women showing us these wonderful women. Go in. Hebrews 14 we’re gonna end with this last scripture 14 verse 15 we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses but in all points was tempted as we are without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace and our time of need.

About this transcript

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added from the speaker’s pauses and then corrected by hand, and obvious caption errors (names, Bible references) were fixed; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Select any time to jump to that moment on YouTube.
