From the sermonJesus Teaches on swearing — July 7, 2022 · Pastor David G. Kincer▶ 0:00

Jesus taught it is best not to swear at all. Herod kept a wicked oath and was only sorry; Peter swore falsely, wept in remorse and was restored. As Numbers 30 foreshadows, Christ our Father and husband can overrule failed vows so we can start anew.

Why were people amazed at Jesus’ teaching?

▶ Watch this part (31:40)

Short answer: He taught with authority to back up what He said; the red letters are not suggestions.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 31:40 Okay let’s get right into the word this morning we’re still talking about how Jesus handled a church service. And remember these things I need to get we need to get them into our cranial vacuum. Inscribed there the people came to hear him and the Bible says they heard him gladly these people heard what Jesus was saying and it’s just a supernatural thing they weren’t just listening they were hearing they were getting it and they were amazed at how he taught with authority to back up everything he said not as the scribes not like Dave Kincer he had authority to back up what he said and church you need to remember that when you read those red letters in the Bible those red letters are Jesus talking while he was here on earth when he came and the words that he spoke and he has authority to back them up.

What is swearing?

▶ Watch this part (32:38)

Short answer: Taking an oath or vow by a higher entity; Jesus said in 20 seconds what takes the pastor 30 minutes.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 32:38 They’re not suggestions they are his word they also were amazed how he taught things kept secret from the beginning of the world. And how he taught in parables and he explained those parables to his disciples just amazing. Now today we’re going to talk about Jesus teaching on swearing. He’s going to teach on swearing swearing is taking an oath or a valve. By a higher uh entity okay. And. The sermon on the mount is just amazing Jesus teaches everything in the sermon on the mount in one sermon he just.

What did the old law say about vows?

▶ Watch this part (33:32)

Short answer: Swear by His name, not falsely; a vow to the Lord unpaid is sin.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 33:32 He just did a and the people heard him in these short statements they heard him they got it. And I have to teach for 30 minutes on something he said in 20 seconds. That’s the difference between me and him never speak a man like this man the Bible says. So. We’re going to go to Matthew 5:33. Jesus said it has been said by them of old going back to the Old Testament and Moses is law you shall not swear falsely. But perform unto the Lord your oath okay he got that out of the Old Testament in Deuteronomy and Leviticus.

▶ 34:25 Fear God. Serve God and swear by his name he is telling us to make vows and and make oaths in his name that higher entity okay is that what it says. Yes that’s what it says all right. Then he says you shall not swear by my name falsely. Okay you you swear and then you don’t back it up with action then we go to Deuteronomy 23:21 when you vow a vow unto the Lord this is a vow until the Lord is just not swearing to somebody you’re going to do something this is swearing to God you’re going to do something you shall not slack to pay it for God will surely require it of you it would be a sin.

Why did Jesus say “swear not at all”?

▶ Watch this part (35:18)

Short answer: Deuteronomy says if you forbear to vow it is no sin—the best thing is not to swear at all.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 35:18 Oh ooh. Bowing and not keeping it is a sin. Then he goes on in Matthew 5 verse 34 and he says this statement. But I say unto you swear not at all here is the natural statement and here is. The parable of the spiritual and the moral don’t swear at all remember he’s talking in parables and he’s showing things that have been kept secret since the world began and he’s starting to reveal them here do you see that. Okay I hope you do. So. He got.

▶ 36:11 He in going back to Deuteronomy 23:21 when you vow vow and you don’t keep it it’ll be a sin. In Deuteronomy it says if you forbear to vow if you don’t vow at all if you don’t swear at all it will be no sin so Jesus is simply quoting from the Old Testament the full message. Of swearing and making a vow if you’re going to swear. Do it in the name of the Lord and and keep it under God but the best thing is don’t swear at all don’t make an oath at all. Amazing. And he does that with a lot of things you see a lot of things in Isaiah chapter 1 he says who has asked you to bring offerings and keep feast days and burn incense.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 5:34 (NKJV)

But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God’s throne;

Scripture (NKJV)

Isaiah 1:11-13 (NKJV)

“To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me?” Says the LORD. “I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fed cattle. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, Or of lambs or goats. “When you come to appear before Me, Who has required this from your hand, To trample My courts? Bring no more futile sacrifices; Incense is an abomination to Me. The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies— I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting.

— Isaiah 1:11-13 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 36:11

Why not swear by heaven, earth or your head?

▶ Watch this part (37:08)

Short answer: You cannot make one hair white or black—you don’t have the power to back it up. Let your yes be yes.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 37:08 He said I don’t like this stuff and I don’t want him I want you to live right well he’s the one that told Israel. To sacrifice animals and burn incense. But those were shadow laws of the good things to come. And see we’ve got to understand. That God has hidden things in the Old Testament and we need him to open our minds up to them can that be an amen. Better to not make a vow at all. Powerful. He goes on to say verse 35 don’t swear by heaven for it is God’s throne don’t swear by the earth for it is his footstool and don’t swear by Jerusalem for it’s the city of the great king. The higher entity. And don’t swear by yourself your head.

▶ 38:01 Because you can’t make one hair white or black you don’t have the power to back it up. Let your communications be yes and no for whatsoever is more than these comes from what evil a turmoil a troublesome in your spirit when you can’t keep a vow you are troubled you are. In turmoil. He’s amazing teacher. And the people got it when he said these things without going back to the Old Testament they got it they heard him. And they come to hear him. Too many preachers are preaching and saying they come for the miracles it says over and over they come to hear his teaching why because his teaching set you free his word set you free his word heals you his word will reveal to you the things kept secret since the beginning of time and his word he has the power to back it up and move in your life.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 5:35-37 (NKJV)

nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black. But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.

— Matthew 5:35-37 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 37:08 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

What happened in the motel robbery?

▶ Watch this part (39:12)

Short answer: Four thieves broke down his door and took everything, but the peace of God came upon him.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 39:12 So. You cannot make one hair white or black you see. You can’t do you don’t have the power to keep all your oats. That’s why you swear by higher power hoping that the heavens will help you or the earth will help you or God will help you or something okay now the scribes and the Pharisees were really big on swearing and taking oaths and Jesus addresses them in Matthew 23 and we don’t have time to cover that but he addresses them and exposes them. About their vows and how they taught valve and so he is clarifying what swearing and making vows is. About 50 years ago. Maybe 45. I was in a motel room.

▶ 40:05 And in the middle of the night. Four thieves. Busted that door down just knocked that door right off. That door facing just went flying through the room okay you think you’re safe behind a locked door you think you’re safe because you got cameras now on this property and all this stuff and alarms it takes the police 30 minutes to get here in 30 minutes they can do a lot of harm and get away are you there. Sometimes they take longer in 30 minutes and when they do come they’re just as scared as I am. I’m out here waiting for them to come the door is open to the building here obviously somebody’s in there and that officer was afraid to go in and I’m looking at him that’s what you’re getting paid for I’ll be right behind you.

▶ 41:06 Anyway they robbed me they took my car keys they took my wallet they took everything. And uh they took my wedding band. They took everything I had. And before they left they lifted up the covers to see if I wet my pants. That’s the only reason I could think they’d lift up the covers but the peace of God came upon me. And when you need something folks at a season you need it he is there to give it to you and I wasn’t afraid or anything at all. I just laid there in perfect peace and you youngans need to hear this kind of stuff your God will protect you your God will give you what you need when you need it you may not think that you can react a certain way when you get in a situation but when you get there he comes he comes and makes the difference amen.

Who were the “bachelors to the rapture”?

▶ Watch this part (42:03)

Short answer: Men who vowed not to marry before the rapture—ridiculous vows that bring turmoil.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 42:03 So. Later on that week I had to preach at a political rally I had to speak at a political rally and I didn’t have my wedding band I hadn’t replaced it yet and after that thing was done a group of guys came up and says hey we noticed you didn’t have a wedding band we are bachelors to the rapture. You know we’re not going to marry to the rapture. I says well you guys got it all wrong my wedding band was stolen I am married. I have children and I ain’t planning on being no bachelor to the rapture and in fact the rapture even will come in my lifetime. And they’re looking at me. And it’s been 45 years and they never lasted being bachelors to the rapture. Okay back then these people had this idea that Jesus is going to bust through that sky at any time and they did all kinds of weird vows made all kinds of bad commitments.

How did Herod’s oath go bad?

▶ Watch this part (43:06)

Short answer: He swore to give Herodias’s daughter whatever she asked and beheaded John; being sorry doesn’t cut it if you don’t change.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 43:06 And you know Barnes and the Daigles and you guys your older ones were there isn’t that true they made ridiculous vows to God and promises to God. Time goes by and you’re in turmoil it becomes sin and it’s ridiculous you can’t keep it you can’t make your hair white or black and you can’t keep these vowels. So let’s look at some swearing gone bad all right. Give you a couple examples here we’ll start with Mr. Herod. All right king Herod’s step-daughter. King Herod had went to Rome and he saw his brother’s wife Herodias there and him and Herodias got together divorced their spouses and married.

▶ 44:05 He comes back down to. Judea and John the baptist is preaching. Repent. And Herod or Herod. Feared and heard John. And said he was a just and holy man. Okay. But John the baptist preached to Herod and to his new wife Herodias that you broke the law of God you can’t divorce your spouse and marry another like you guys did I mean they purposely got together and divorced their other spouses and married and John the baptist called him on it you think ministers today will call them. A divorce of sin they’re scared to death they’d loot half the congregation because half of them are divorced and if you don’t know the whole truth about divorce.

▶ 45:07 Yeah you can be easy on yourself or you can be too hard on yourself isn’t that true. So. He got this sexy daughter. To dance for him and she must have did a great job because he promised her with an oath to give her whatever she asked even to half of the kingdom well it wasn’t his kingdom to give. Rome gave it to him to rule under their authority. So basically all he could do to give her half of the kingdom is marry her he could get rid of her mother and marry her are you there. So when she asked for John the baptist’s head Herod was sorry and he made it with an oath.

▶ 46:02 He was sorry. But he didn’t change. He went and cut off John the baptist’s head and gave it to her you know being sorry. Doesn’t cut it if you don’t correct what you’re sorry for. Amen. A lot of parents over the years are sorry for the way they raised their kids well it’s a little late to be sorry when your kid’s 20 years old now and you didn’t give them good character you didn’t teach them good character and you didn’t show good character in your life you didn’t give them an example and so you’re sorry oh big deal. They’re hurting they’re wounded. And you’re not changing these parents don’t change.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Mark 6:20-27 (NKJV)

for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just and holy man, and he protected him. And when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly. Then an opportune day came when Herod on his birthday gave a feast for his nobles, the high officers, and the chief men of Galilee. And when Herodias’ daughter herself came in and danced, and pleased Herod and those who sat with him, the king said to the girl, “Ask me whatever you want, and I will give it to you.” He also swore to her, “Whatever you ask me, I will give you, up to half my kingdom.” So she went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask?” And she said, “The head of John the Baptist!” Immediately she came in with haste to the king and asked, saying, “I want you to give me at once the head of John the Baptist on a platter.” And the king was exceedingly sorry; yet, because of the oaths and because of those who sat with him, he did not want to refuse her. Immediately the king sent an executioner and commanded his head to be brought. And he went and beheaded him in prison,

What happened to Herod?

▶ Watch this part (46:59)

Short answer: He died a horrible death; God gives a long season to change, then the problems come.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 46:59 Are you there. Hallelujah. So. By the way if you read history Herod died a horrible death God gets people in the end he starts around the late 40s and early 50s from my own records I keep the people that. Purposely and habitually. Violate God’s laws and mistreat real Christians and innocent people God starts he he seems to just give him a long season to change their mind and then here comes the financial problems the emotional problems the physical problems he starts working on them and they just harden their heart. A lot of them and will not change and that was Herod he just hardened his heart he knew the truth he knew John was right.

How did Peter swear falsely?

▶ Watch this part (47:57)

Short answer: He cursed and swore three times, “I do not know the man.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 47:57 And he killed him anyway. Now let’s go to mr Peter. Matthew 26:73. The crowd tells to Peter Jesus is being crucified and the crowd says to Peter you’re one of them your speech betrays you the way you talk betrays you you’re one of them disciples of Jesus and Peter three times began to curse. And swear make a vow I do not know the man I do not know the man I do not know the man out of two or three witnesses let everything be established. Is he lying. Is he a liar. Yes three times he’s a liar.

Did Jesus give up on Peter?

▶ Watch this part (48:50)

Short answer: No—He prayed for him beforehand: when you are converted, strengthen your brethren.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 48:50 Okay and he made an oath and a vow. Okay and Jesus had told them in his teaching that if you. Don’t recognize me before men I won’t recognize you before the father in heaven. Isn’t that right. If you deny me before men I’ll deny you before the father so this is a big sin he just did it this is a big one. In Luke 22:32 Jesus already knew. He was going. To fill. Jesus already knew Peter was not at the place in his growth. That he could handle the mistreatment he would get.

▶ 49:45 When he decided to follow Christ. Jesus knew that and he told Peter ahead of time. You will deny me three times and he did. And but I have prayed for you whoa boy this is hallelujah. Is he the intercessor between us and the father yes is he can we come to his throne of grace that we might obtain mercy to help in our time of trouble yes Jesus prayed for Peter prayed for him ahead of time. And he said and and Jesus who has the power to back up what he says. He says when you are converted when you change.

▶ 50:39 You’re going to change you’re going to fail but you’re going to change I’m going to change it. Hallelujah how many have met that God of change yeah he met he changed you it wasn’t some little commitment you made or baptism certificate or whatever Christ came to you and made himself real to you isn’t that right and he started changing you little by little line up online precept on precept he keeps changing us hallelujah yes. And Jesus is so authoritative so powerful he says I pray for you and when you’re changed you’re going to change and how many of you know we have that same promise we might make a mistake but Jesus is going to pray for us and he’s going to change us amen hallelujah. And when you are converted strengthen your brethren you know encourage them.

How do vows apply to marriage?

▶ Watch this part (51:37)

Short answer: You vow when you marry; often one spouse is innocent, and churches pick on women.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 51:37 He was forgiven and he was delivered now this is important. It’s just like the divorce thing and you know he’s talking about adultery talked about divorce and now he is talking about vowels. Well when you marry you make a vowel. And God asks you to make a vowel. All right and you’re supposed to keep those vowels. But if you mess up or somebody your partner you know the in amer in a divorce is usually half. Of that marriage is innocent one of them has violated the marriage been unfaithful or something abusive or whatever they violated that merit and the innocent party the Bible says the father is not held for the sin of the son no the sin.

Can a vow be overruled?

▶ Watch this part (52:36)

Short answer: In Numbers 30 a father or husband could overrule a woman’s vow; Jesus, our Father and husband, can overrule ours.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 52:36 Sin son is held to the father everybody’s accountable for their own what sin. And these churches that tell. Women to stay in a bad marriage because the Bible says submit to your husband it also says husbands submit to Christ doesn’t it and they don’t hold they don’t hold their husbands responsible. They pick on the women women are picked on more in the churches than men. From hair to clothing to whatever you blame it on the women. Now. This is important you got to remember shadow laws. Point to the good things to come. If a woman makes a vow. Her father can overrule her vow and she will not be guilty of breaking it Numbers 30.

▶ 53:35 Her father can. Overrule the vow. If she is married her husband can overrule the vow and she’s not guilty if she breaks it now this is where shadow laws really open up the Bible to you. When you know how to apply them to the good things to come. Is God our father. Yes is Jesus our husband our spiritual husband our spiritual father yes and when you mess up. He has the authority. To overrule your problem and change you like he did Peter. Isn’t that powerful. Amen you don’t have to walk around guilty because you messed up you can go to him Peter wept bitterly.

“Or if a woman makes a vow to the LORD, and binds herself by some agreement while in her father’s house in her youth, and her father hears her vow and the agreement by which she has bound herself, and her father holds his peace, then all her vows shall stand, and every agreement with which she has bound herself shall stand. But if her father overrules her on the day that he hears, then none of her vows nor her agreements by which she has bound herself shall stand; and the LORD will release her, because her father overruled her. “If indeed she takes a husband, while bound by her vows or by a rash utterance from her lips by which she bound herself, and her husband hears it, and makes no response to her on the day that he hears, then her vows shall stand, and her agreements by which she bound herself shall stand. But if her husband overrules her on the day that he hears it, he shall make void her vow which she took and what she uttered with her lips, by which she bound herself, and the LORD will release her.

What is the difference between Peter and Herod?

▶ Watch this part (54:33)

Short answer: Peter wept bitterly in remorse and was healed; Herod was sorry but did nothing.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 54:33 Okay. Peter wept bitterly. See he not only was sorry for his sin. He was in remorse for his sin he hated what he did. And Christ came and healed him and set him free and used him mightily. Herod he was sorry but did nothing. Church I don’t care what you’re guilty of guilt is good. Because it can move you to repent it can move you to change things but it’s only good if you let Christ. Overrule the action that you did. All right and set you free you’re not accountable for that sin anymore or that swearing or that oath are you with me hallelujah the power of the blood is still powerful.

Is breaking a vow unforgivable?

▶ Watch this part (55:36)

Short answer: He submits the blood cleanses from all sin; Peter fell away and was restored.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 55:36 Now. In Hebrews 6:4 this verse is used many times on facebook. Okay along with. If you blaspheme against the Holy Ghost it’s unforgivable. God will not forgive you I submit to you here is more proof that the death of Christ the blood of Christ cleanses from all sin including the unforgivable sin and making a vow to God and not keeping it. Could that be an amen his blood is that powerful his name is that powerful as we heard. In the worship service today his name is that powerful why because he’s that powerful he can back up his word. It is impossible for those who once were enlightened was Peter enlightened.

▶ 56:32 Absolutely. For those who have tasted the heavenly gift had he tasted the heavenly gift Jesus yes become partakers of the Holy Spirit have been partakers of the Holy Spirit Jesus said the spirit is with you and shall be in you there’s more spirit coming but the spirit is with you right now yeah Peter had that. And the powers of the age to come was Peter living in the new age to come the new covenant yes. If they fall away to renew them again to repentance it is impossible. Because they crucify Christ again and put him to an open shame and they take that verse and they just beat people to death with it and people beat themself up with it because they don’t recognize that our father and our husband Jesus has the authority has the power to overrule our guilt our blame our shame and pick us up and put us back together again yes give God a clap offering he is that powerful.

Scripture (NKJV)

Hebrews 6:4-6 (NKJV)

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

What two covenants should we make?

▶ Watch this part (57:46)

Short answer: The marriage covenant and the covenant to serve Christ.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 57:46 Hallelujah. He will make something beautiful out of your life. Now listen there are two covenants that we need to make as the musicians come. One as it says in Malachi. You made a covenant with the wife. And then you treated her treacherously you you said you would do good to your spouse and then you didn’t that’s treachery you promised you made an oath and you didn’t keep it God called that treachery. All right. And you may be the innocent victim in a divorce. But we marry in the church world because God sees marriage as a covenant as an agreement between a man and woman to be faithful and treat each other with respect with love and care all the days of their life is that an amen.

How did he handle failures as a young believer?

▶ Watch this part (58:54)

Short answer: He failed sometimes but never felt condemned; God removes the petty guilts Satan puts on you.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 58:54 We make that vow. And we say I do. And then we don’t. The other vow is to serve Christ. The covenant is to serve Christ Jesus come in the new covenant to turn us from our sins that’s our part to turn from sin repent from sin his part is to empower us to live for him amen. And so when Dave Kincer got saved that night he made a vow to God that he would repent from his sin turn from his sin and serve him and follow him. Did I keep that vow I failed quite a few times as a young believer.

▶ 59:46 And I never felt guilty this is what separated me and most Christians I never answered another salvation call. I never felt guilty about anything because I knew Jesus Christ. Loved me and he was going to get me to the goal that he said I could get to are you there now I felt bad I had a measure of guilt because of what I did but not a guilt that condemned me and I was going to go to hell I never even thought about hell. I did before I would say but not after. Are you with me and we should keep those vows but listen church if you mess up like I did in my younger days. Not nothing really drastic just some things that God needed to get out of my life okay I didn’t do nothing really flagrant I was raised in a Christian home fortunate and raised with morals and just avoided a lot of pain that a lot of my acquaintances went through because my parents have put put godly morals in me amen.

▶ 1:00:55 Thank God for godly parents. And anyway. We need to make a healthy vow to serve God and obey his word so it motivates us see my my promise to God my vows to God motivated me to keep them you know God asked me to get up early in the morning and pray and I said I work I got to be at work at six o’clock I already get up and read he said well fifteen minutes are going to make break your day and I said no 15 minutes is okay well that 15 minutes of prayer turned into a half hour real quick because prayer was good and I was learning a lot but sometimes I’d fall asleep. And I’d wake up without any guilt.

▶ 1:01:48 And Barnes keeps reminding me that I fell asleep at a church prayer time early in the morning. And I woke up and just told mr Barnes I was laying before the Lord get up get off my case. See there’s no guilt I promised God I would read my Bible through immediately when I got filled with the Holy Ghost I promised I would read my Bible through every year. And some days. I didn’t read and Satan tries to put guilt on you and God comes and says son just just react number one you have a goal to do it in 10 months so if you miss some days you’re still going to reach one year anyhow are you there. And so he comes and he removes these guilts these pity little guilts that you put on yourself and Satan puts on yourself to make you think that you’re unworthy and and you know you you can’t attain the things of God and you’re a lousy Christian.

How does the service close?

▶ Watch this part (1:02:45)

Short answer: Jesus can remove vows so you can start anew; “The Red Letters,” communion and the offering.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:02:45 Jesus is showing us today your vows can be. Removed. By your father and your God and you can start anew and make a new commitment is that an amen hallelujah. I love this song the red letters. I think that’s one of the greatest songs that this generation has given us because especially in this message in this series Jesus has the authority to back up what he said and all those red letters are him speaking in all the gospels and in Revelations and and throughout some of the epistles that’s him talking now he wrote the Old Testament too but these are the words he spoke while he was here in the flesh and after he ascended back they’re in red letters and you young people when you read that New Testament.

▶ 1:03:43 And you see Jesus speaking he has the power to back it up and this is what this song is about and that’s how I want to end this message today let’s ask God let’s. Ask God to come. And make his red letters powerful he has the power to back it up give him your problems give him your guilt give him your blame give him your shame he is your father he can neutralize your old condition and start you on a new path today amen and if you want to do that will you stand with me and let’s sing the red letter song. Started falling.

▶ 1:04:52 Letter. And the ground began. Oh. Yes yes. I became a free man. That day let’s lift up our voices unto him proclaiming our freedom proclaiming our thanksgiving. Jesus Jesus Jesus. Precious Lord precious Lord precious Lord.

▶ 1:05:52 We’re going to sing the verses while they’re serving communion then you can get up and do it. Reverses. Thank you for the freedom law. Thank you for the healing of your word the freedom of your word the power of your word thank you Jesus that you can back up everything you said. Lord we don’t have any fear. You’ve given us a power of love and a sound mind. Thank you Lord. Precious day. As they serve communion they’re going to sing the verses to this song and then mike’s going to come and handle.

▶ 1:06:52 The communion part of the service. These verses are powerful. Guilty in the first degree. Son of God hanging on a hill. Hell was my destiny. The crowd was shouting crucified. Could have come from these lips of mine. The dirty shame was killing me.

▶ 1:07:48 It would take a miracle to wash me clean. Then I. Read the red letters. My dead heart began to be. The holy.

▶ 1:09:02 And my soul. Began to shake the voice of God the voice of God. My soul. Began to shake. The voice of God. I am.

▶ 1:10:05 Thank you Jesus. We worship your Jesus. Foreign. First Corinthians chapter 11 verse 28. Says let a man examine himself. He who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner just means if you eat and drink of this bread and cup without considering.

▶ 1:11:02 Thinking that it’s a common meal it’s not common and it’s it’s a commitment like he was talking about it’s a vow this morning that we’re making to Christ that we’re going to leave that bad behavior behind us and commit to serving and following Jesus Christ wholeheartedly. He who eats and drinks this in an unworthy manner and drinks judgment to himself for this reason many are weak and sick among you and it’s right now that we can address something that is afflicting the church and people worldwide. Right now before you take communion you can examine yourself and say God I need this thing taken out of me God I pray that you come and and heal this thing out of me and God Lord I commit to serving you wholeheartedly I make a vow.

▶ 1:11:54 And that’s what we can do with this. Communion this morning. And he says if we would judge ourselves we would not be judged this morning we are reminded that we can. Become stronger in Christ Jesus when we take this seriously make a vow a commitment to Christ this morning. The cup it says. This cup is the new covenant in my blood and wherever you do this in remembrance of me and we know as he already said if anyone sins we have an advocate with the father Jesus Christ the righteous. We have an ant we can go to the blood of Jesus and get cleansing forgiveness. And we can get power to live for him so let’s take this cup I’m going to ask someone to pray over the cup and we’ll take it together.

▶ 1:13:09 Help us to make that oh Lord Jesus. Amen let’s take it. Together and likewise we have the bread and first Corinthians 11:24 says take eat this is my body which is broken for you.

▶ 1:13:43 And we know that in Romans chapter 12 verse 5 we are the many member body of Christ. And Jesus said. And we know that he says to eat of his flesh and that the body. God’s people we are his flesh and when we come in and we’re united in praising God and we love one another we are loving Christ Jesus so to get together we’re going to pray for this bread that we have and we are going to eat this together let’s pray everyone together just lift up your voices that we would have unity in our body Lord Jesus we call on you this morning God we ask Lord Jesus for unity in your church Jesus we ask for that we would love one another God that we’d encourage and love one another to good works Jesus Jesus like it says in the scriptures God we pray to God Lord that we would take this to heart Lord God that we would love and and help one another Jesus to grow in you to become stronger in you Jesus Lord we pray for those with the ailments and sicknesses that you would use your mighty hand to help and heal our people this morning we thank you Jesus in your precious name let’s eat the bread together.

▶ 1:15:13 Or gods. The whole. World sent his only. Son to die for me. Arms spread wide for the whole wide world is arms spread wide where might should be. Jesus. Thank you God. I became a free man.

▶ 1:16:31 I am man. Thank you. Right now we’re just going to take a moment and pray if you have any special need of prayer this morning we’d like to have you stand and we will lift up our voices for our uh or our people here this morning that have a special need if you know somebody that has a special need but just stand up for that person and we will pray that God would come and help meet those needs so right where you’re at you’re welcome to stand if it’s a new oath that you need in your life a new commitment to Christ if it’s a physical problem whatever it is let’s just stand up and ask will the body will pray for the people this morning.

▶ 1:17:55 Let’s pray for those that are standing I’m standing for someone that I know and uh we have a few people let’s lift up our voices Jesus we call on you this morning God we pray Lord that you meet those needs God we pray Jesus you are the great physician Lord you are the creator of all things there is no. The whole need misses the Lord together. God we ask that you come by your power by your spirit. You may find your seats this morning.

▶ 1:19:12 We’re gonna take up the offering. Those online we want to thank you for joining us we trust that you’re going to make an oath and a vow to serve Christ when you take the communion remember to examine yourselves it will strengthen you when you are willing to examine and judge yourself the way Christ would judge you you’ll get. You’ll be able to not be weak like it says in first Corinthians there so we trust that you hear God’s word God bless you thank you for joining us.
