Opening 2024, the message teaches that Jesus is the true vine, and we bear fruit only by abiding in Him and His word, which works like surgery on our spiritual man. The Spirit of wisdom, counsel, might and the fear of the Lord is poured out on all flesh, producing love and the fruit of the Spirit, and the church must return to the demonstration of the Spirit and power.

Who is the true vine?

▶ Watch this part (26:26)

Short answer: Jesus: every branch that bears fruit the Father prunes so it bears more; Christ is the authentic way to receive life.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 26:26 Us. In John 15:1 Jesus says in red letters I am the true vine and my father is the vine dresser every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away and every branch that bears fruit he prunes that it may bear more. Fruit one of the first things you want to recognize is that he says he is the true vine the kingdom of darkness and Satan will try to make sin look and seem very pleasant and pleasurable in our time in America in 2023 uh breaking the ten commandments and God’s basic laws are lies that are being taught as morals and truth if you hear the way that they say these things you know abortion is a way to you know you’re saving the the the the lady from and the baby from life of poverty and such and so we we break the ten commandments and believe the lie that it’s it’s moral to break the ten commandments when it’s not true we can’t believe the lie and that’s what God Christ is saying here he is the true vine the true vine is a source of life and that true vine is Jesus Christ you’re not going to find a source of life in another avenue in the kingdom of darkness you’re going to find

▶ 27:57 it in the one Jesus. Christ if you remember this famous scripture it says that I am the way the truth and the life no one comes to the father but by me so we must first recognize that Christ is the authentic genuine real way to receive life in your spiritual man every one of us has a spirit amen and when God talks about eternal life he’s talking talking about your spirit that’s going to live forever when you die your spirit is separated from your natural body when you go to a grave you’ll see bones you’ll see flesh when you go to somebody’s wake or funeral you can see their body but their spirit is gone. Amen.

Why is Jesus the choicest vine?

▶ Watch this part (28:45)

Short answer: The Father chose the best; like grade-A meat, Jesus would only be in one store. He sits at the right hand of the Father.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 28:45 Amen my father is the vine dresser the scriptures say that he chose the choicest the best vine you go to the store and you get that meat it says oh you could get grade a you can get choice the best pick now if Jesus were a vine and he was in a store he’d only be in one store he would be special look there’s the choice vine the best vine you could ever use that’s Jesus Christ and God the father has picked it for us to build and found our lives and connect our lives to so this understanding this illustration of the vine asks several questions who are we associating our life with who are you committing your life to who are you connected with I heard someone say your connection uh leads to your destination I thought that was a powerful way to say it if you’re connected with the world if you’re connected to the kingdom of darkness that’s going to you’re going to it’s going to take take you to the kingdom of darkness if you’re connected to Christ and his kingdom it’s going to take you to his kingdom simple amen and that this vine illustration explains or or shows that if you connect yourself with the source of life Jesus Christ on

▶ 30:15 this in this life in your life today it will take you to eternal life amen amen we got to remember Jesus is sitting on the right hand of the father so that’s where he’s at right now Jesus isn’t in hell amen. Amen and you see here there’s two pictures uh if you notice one is real and one is fake I hope you can tell the difference can anybody tell me which one’s real and which one’s fake uh junior which one’s real which one’s. Fake that’s the real one’s on the left that’s right and the fake one is on the right the one on the right right looks pretty it looks green it looks lush it’s got these things hanging down but you know if you know what a a vine looks like if you never seen a vine you might think that’s a that’s real but if you know what a vine looks like it looks like the one on the left and the one on the left is real so we have to be careful the world and Satan he will try to disguise his uh.

Can a branch bear fruit by itself?

▶ Watch this part (31:23)

Short answer: No; unless you abide in the vine you can’t; the kingdom of darkness won’t give you any life.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 31:23 His kingdom that it’s life that it’s pleasurable that it’s the way to go when it’s not if you connect yourself with the kingdom of darkness it’s not going to give you any. Life as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine neither can you unless you abide in me so we have a responsibility to abide in the vine Jesus. Christ Psalms 1 vers1 blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly nor stands in the path of sinners nor sits in the seat of the scornful but his delight is in the law of the Lord and in his law he meditates day and night this. Scripture is where the rubber meets the road right this is explaining what it’s talking about because after Psalms 1:2 it says that he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water if you want that life in you we must be people that delight in in the law of the Lord in his law not our own law not what our truth is not I believe my truth or I believe his truth or the way he said it was right I mean if you go online there are so many people advertising trying to reach you with their message.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

John 15:4-5 (NKJV)

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

— John 15:4-5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 31:23

What must every belief agree with?

▶ Watch this part (32:47)

Short answer: God’s word; its truths are above all, and you can’t grab on to things as truth unless they agree with it.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 32:47 But the truths of the Bible the truths of God’s word are above all of that and you can’t grab on to that those things as if they are truth unless they agree with God’s. Word a lot of people today may believe in the cross and the blood of Jesus Christ and will ask that Jesus forgive them but they may not want his counsel and see that’s what this scripture is talking about we need the counsel of God God the godly counsel not the council of uh the ungodly it’s important that we decide what is going to bless our life is walking in his godly counsel nor stands in the path of sinners if you remember zakus in the Bible he was.

Whose path will we put ourselves in?

▶ Watch this part (33:45)

Short answer: Zacchaeus was short and had obstacles but put himself in Jesus’ path; those planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 33:45 Short he couldn’t see he couldn’t get through the crowd he had obstacles but Zacchaeus went and put himself in the path of who Jesus Christ as we have a choice are we going to put ourselves in the path of Christ or we going to put ourselves in the path of sinners are we going to put ourselves and walk with them or are we going to walk with Christ do we want to have an encounter with Christ or we want to have an encounter with the world cuz that’s two different experiences nor sits in the seat the scornful so it’s important to recognize the law of the Lord so you’re going to get your weekly reminder if you’re not putting God’s word into you it’s time to put his word into you it’s time to open his book up and read it it’s time to listen to it it’s time to get it in your heart so that God has something to work with you need we need to delight in the law of the Lord Lord and God is saying the benefits of that are we’re going to be like a tree planted by the rivers of water bearing fruit in its season if we want the results of the Holy Spirit which are the fruits of the spirit we’ve got to be putting God’s word into us and also in Psalms 92:13 those

▶ 35:16 who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God no matter where you go no matter what your location is we want to be planted in God’s house you want to be faithful in God’s. House and stick with it and hang in there be a help and a source of solution for your church where you’re going be planted. Amen Hebrews chapter 4:12 the word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword piercing to the division of the soul and spirit the joints and marrow is the discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Man it doesn’t stop it’s that good uh a lot of people some people that I know have dealt with some heart issues lately uh physical heart issues if you go in for a cardiac screening or or heart test they will connect you to monitors and listen to your heart and then they have methods for checking for blockages in your blood and if there is a problem you’ll have to go undergo.

Scripture (NKJV)

Luke 19:3-4 (NKJV)

And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way.

How is God’s word like surgery?

▶ Watch this part (36:25)

Short answer: Like a bypass that moves a clear vessel, His word removes ideologies that aren’t God’s and block life in your spiritual man.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 36:25 Surgery and uh some people say you have to go under the knife and so what they’ll do sometimes is they’ll take a vessel from one place and put it in another place because the one down here is clearer than the one that’s over here right and they’re basically taking parts and you know that you went to the the shop home depot this is blood depot and they oh I got to pull that part put it over. Here and uh for one thing it’s amazing that the body can do that God created you uh you’re fearfully and wonderfully made but in the spirit it is very similar that word of God is like a knife and it will cut and it will pull out the thing that is blocking or creating a problem an ideology a philosophy that maybe you’ve had for years the word of God can come in and pull out replace cut out and put in the right.

What happens when the word cuts to the heart?

▶ Watch this part (37:29)

Short answer: At Pentecost they were cut to the heart and asked what to do; Stephen’s hearers were also cut to the heart but stoned him, rejecting the word.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 37:29 Thing there are certain beliefs there’s certain ideologies that if you hold on to that are not gods they can affect the uh life flowing in your spiritual man you uh. Amen and the word of God is there to help with that Acts chapter 2:37 this is an example when they had heard this they were cut to the heart and they said said what shall we do now Acts 2:37 is when uh they received the gift of the Holy Spirit Pentecost they received tongues and they started preaching the mighty wonderful works of God in different tongues and Peter got up and he started to preach and he had a living word and that living word basically was showing through the he showed through the old.

▶ 38:21 Testament Peter was showing through the Old Testament that Jesus Christ was Lord and messiah and he used the Old Testament scripture to reveal that to the Jews and when they heard this there were it says they were what cut to the heart so God comes in with his word and he says okay here’s my Old Testament scripture that you believe in and here you go get away from this belief that you have your rejection of the messiah your rejection of Jesus Christ Christ is Lord it’s time to put your faith and your trust in him and so the word that he spoke did its work cut out the part that they needed to cut out and put in the new part.

▶ 39:13 Amen Acts 7:54 when they heard these things they were cut to the heart now this example is much different steven is standing before the high priest and he is standing before the Sanhedrin. Acts if you know is after the resurrection of Jesus Christ and Stephen is using the Old Testament to show that their behavior and their commitment to the temple. Building over God was wrong and that they should have committed to the Lord Jesus Christ instead of having him. Killed and that’s what steven’s message was the summary of his message and it says they were what cut to the heart so the word of God was doing its job again but their response was much different they didn’t say what shall we do they ran at steven and had him.

What does the truth do?

▶ Watch this part (40:16)

Short answer: The word of the Lord is right; if you abide in His word you are His disciples, and the truth shall make you free.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 40:16 Stoned and so that is an illustration of someone who did not let God’s word come. In and fix the spiritual man that is someone who had a hard heart and rejected God’s word and you don’t want to be like that. Amen the word of the Lord is right his work is done in truth Psalms 33:4 for you have magnified your word above all your name God has magnified his word above his name his name casts out demons his name is powerful his name is uh famous throughout the earth and God has magnified his word above his name we have to remember that he created the world by his word when he said let there be light there was what light he spoke us into being his word is powerful so we have to remember that if we believe in the name of Jesus Christ if we believe in calling on the name of Jesus Christ baptizing people in the name of Jesus Christ we also must above all that hold the world as number one the word of God as number one priority in our life.

▶ 41:36 John chapter 8:31 if you abide in my word you are my disciples indeed you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free so number one if you abide in his word you’re his disciple number two that truth that you put into you is going to set you free it’s going to set your sp spiritual manfree and that’s what all of us. Need the word is very very important and again it’s saying abide in my word like it said in Psalms 1:1 we must delight in the law of the Lord you’ve got to make putting God’s word into you a priority this is a new year that we’re looking unto right this is the the 7th day of 2024 and you can set a goal to read the Bible through in one year you can read it how however many times you want in one year but set a goal to read the Bible through this year by the end of by December 31st 2024 you should be done reading the Bible through this year I encourage you this word is reminding us to put his word his truth in our hearts.

You right so when you ask God for a new heart when you ask God put your spirit he comes and he’ll put his spirit in you and when you ask for this wisdom he will give you wisdom and I have prayed many times in situations I as I’m driving to the issue or I’m dealing with the issue I’ll stop and I’ll just say God Lord I need your wisdom God I pray that I would behave wisely I pray that I would handle this w I pray that I would speak wisely God I need your wisdom and he comes and he.

Wisdom that is from above. Amen the spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor to heal the brokenhearted proclaim liberty to the captives and opening the prison to those who are bound the spirit of the Lord this is Jesus he quoted this scripture when he was on earth he c went into the synagogue he rose up and he said this scripture and I think he said today this is fulfilled in your hearing that was Jesus Christ but we are also joint hs with Christ amen and so when the spirit of the Lord is in us this is what the spirit wants to do the spirit of God wants to preach and Jesus isn’t on earth right now walking around preaching we are supposed to be doing that.

▶ 47:38 Amen now Jesus Christ and I need to be careful what I say there yes the Holy Spirit Jesus are still speaking amen I mean you’ve met him when God came to you God came to me he came with his word and is powerful but it it was because I heard somebody preaching the word and I responded to it and God comes in with his spirit and he backs all that up what I’m trying to remind us is that we have a responsibility if we say we have the spirit of God we need to be preaching those good tidings to the poor in spirit we need to be preaching and and healing the brokenhearted people need a new heart that Christ is. Offering they need liberty. From the oppressor Satan and they need their prisoners need freedom from.

About this transcript

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added from the speaker’s pauses and then corrected by hand, and obvious caption errors (names, Bible references) were fixed; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor notes: The service opens with worship (lyrics as captioned); the message begins at about 25:10. “Psalms 30 1382” in the captions is taken as Psalm 33:4 (“the word of the Lord is right”). Select any time to jump to that moment on YouTube.
