▶ 0:00 Now Jesus alluded to this when he said in John 16. The time comes when they’ll put you out of the synagogues kill you thinking they do God a service thinking they’re obeying God and the scriptures these things they will do because they have not known the father nor me. And so ignorant believers believers that don’t understand the scriptures can actually speak against and behave and act against what God is doing are you with me and so we need to know what these things are that we can be fighting against in ignorance. All right so we’re gonna give you a I can’t say quick because this is really

▶ 1:01 this is really [unclear] here we’re going to give you a gospel timeline of opposing a historical timeline of opposing God fighting against God are you with me. in Acts 13:40 they quoted out of Habakkuk 1:5 all right beware lest the words of the prophet come upon you and then he says what the word of the prophet was I work a work in your days you will not believe though it be declared to you even though the word of God is going for some people say there’s a famine of the word in our generation I submit to you they’re misinterpreting that scripture it’s a famine of hearing the word the prophet said not a famine of the word it’s being preached but it’s a famine of hearing the word.

▶ 2:02 Amen that’s a big difference see our problem is hearing and then we oppose God because we don’t understand we don’t get it and so. We’re going to look at the history of the church Jesus came into the world and he says I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it it’s gonna be a victorious church even against the kingdom of darkness okay in the Psalms in the Old Testament it says unless the Lord builds the house they labor in vain that build it so God is going to build a church we start with Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone and the foundation the Bible says there is no other foundation but Jesus Christ he is the chief cornerstone he is the one we line up to nobody else we got that yes no church no ministry Jesus is the one we line up to then Jesus taught us clearly what the prophets said Jesus made it very plain what the prophets in the Old Testament were saying okay and he taught them to his apostles and Ephesians says that the church is built on the foundation of Christ the cornerstone and the apostles and the prophets and so it says in acts that the early church continued in the apostles’ doctrine and [unclear] that’s the doctrine we must continue in even though people call

▶ 3:33 themself apostles today we’ve got to go back to the apostles could that be an amen even though people call themself prophets today we got to go back to the prophets and anything out of what the prophets have said and the apostles have said is not acceptable could that be an amen and of course these are the sincere milk of the word that you may grow [unclear] and the gospel is the foundation of the church the gospel of Christ the gospel of the father the gospel of righteousness the gospel of grace it’s all one gospel the gospel of the kingdom it’s all the same gospel amen good news good tidings so.

▶ 4:18 Christ built a church who believed in the virgin birth they believed in the death of Christ they were there it happened in their generation they believe that he rose from the dead they believed that he was the only savior not all roads lead to the heaven not all roads lead to God Jesus is the way to God Jesus is the only savior okay that’s the early church the early church also believed in water baptism and the early church understood that going into the water was going into the grave with Christ and your old man of sin dying and you come out a new creature one that was a slave of righteousness Romans 6 tells us the [unclear] church understood these things they did not debate about water baptism they got baptized they didn’t wait for a seminar on water baptism they got baptized are you with me.

▶ 5:17 They had the Holy Spirit baptism being filled with the spirit is. Mentioned 10 times in the book of Acts 3 of those times they spoke in tongues whether you like it or not they did and it could have been the fourth time because when God poured out his spirit on the house of Cornelius it says it was exactly like it was poured out the first time on the day of Pentecost on the first day of Pentecost they heard the wind they saw the tongues of fire and they spoke in tongues so it could have happened four times and me who grew up in Pentecostal spirit filled churches can tell you it’s about one out of three or four in those churches that really speak in tongues not everybody in spiritual churches speak in tongues and that’s what the Bible says not everybody speaks in tongues are you with me but you can speak the same mighty works of God in your own language from the inspiration of the Holy Ghost from the baptism of the Holy Ghost there’s no difference are you there alright and Paul said forbid not to speak in tongues and most churches forbid it they go right against the Bible we will hit these issues in sequence here okay we don’t want to fight against God.

▶ 6:34 They had signs and wonders people were being healed dead bodies were being raised from the grave Peter’s shadow falling on people would heal them instantly the early church had miracles and signs and healings going on consistently. They believed in the second coming the second return of Christ they were persecuted for 325 years the early church suffered continuous heavy persecution. Alright. They corrected sin in the church they corrected doctrinal areas they confronted it they dealt with it and kept it out are you with me that’s the early church for 300 years over 300 years that’s the early church you have no mention in the New Testament of a priest there were no priests in the early church because Jesus Christ was the high priest the Bible says are you with me and his followers are all priests to minister to him.

▶ 7:45 All right there were no robes and special clothing. None of that nonsense was there in the early church there was no rituals holy water hail marys or whatever and there was none of that in the early church no lent season you know that gives us a feeling of being spiritual and does nothing are you with me there was no denominations you will not find the baptist’s in the Bible you won’t find the catholic in the Bible you won’t find the orthodox in the Bible you won’t find the pentecostals in the Bible you won’t find a [unclear] church in the Bible or any of these denominational titles there was one church that followed the teachings of Christ can that be an amen.

▶ 8:40 you didn’t go to Ephesus and there’s a different church and you go into Antioch and there’s a different church everywhere you went there was one church following one Christ and one doctrine. And I challenge any theologian to debate me on it. All right there were no buildings they never built expensive elaborate buildings [unclear] you walk into and all their gold and [unclear] and I was in South America and went into a Catholic church and they literally had gold in the interior of that church designed with everything and the poor people outside are starving and they’re putting gold see it gives you a feeling of spirituality and it does nothing are you there the early church never had a temple.

▶ 9:45 There’s no seminaries to go to no Bible colleges to go to to learn to be a minister [unclear] cuz the Holy Ghost was teaching how many you know we need the Holy Ghost teaching today yeah the Holy Ghost his ministry is to teach us all truth and [unclear] but we go to Bible college and while we learn we learn what that Bible college tells us to learn we go to seminars and we learn what that seminar tells us to learn that’s why God told me as a young Christian don’t go. You get into that Bible and I will open it up to you I don’t want your thinking tainted by those people’s opinion that’s what the Holy Ghost spoke to me clearly and so I never went to Bible school but I got on my knees with that book I read 30 books a year I studied I put time into it and God slowly opened that Bible up to me are you there.

▶ 10:48 Alleluia I read about what they were teaching in the Bible seminars without going and then I could line it up to the Bible are you with me and I had to leave the church I got saved in because you had to believe everything they believed to be a minister and there’s things that they believed that I knew as a young Christian cuz I read my Bible were wrong so. The Jews opposed the early church they opposed Jesus they opposed the prophets they opposed the apostles and they opposed the gospel so did the Gentiles and the pagan religion and the rulers they opposed as we showed you last week now. Open your ears I’m going to show you something that you’ve never heard of before okay.

▶ 11:47 the Catholic church boldly and confidently tells us they trace their church back to Peter am I right. so does the Orthodox the Eastern Orthodox church they claim to be the first church also orthodox means the traditional the right church catholic means [unclear] the universal church we’re it now if they claim that they have to take responsibility for that claim they’re claiming that to make you think they are special throughout [unclear] since Christ came but they have to take responsibility for what the prophet spoke. Because in their day.

▶ 12:41 There was a falling away. 2nd Thessalonians 2:3 says. Jesus Christ will not come except there’s a falling away first this is an apostasy there is a leaving the first beliefs and following other beliefs. Are you with me so if they’ve got the audacity to say they were the church back then then I’ve got the audacity to say you got to hold yourself responsible for the falling away could that be an amen is that fair yes. So. It’s still going on they haven’t changed I want to show you alright.

▶ 13:39 But God said after the falling away I will what restore I will bring back the first beliefs I will restore that which was left I will bring it back and it says in Acts 3:18 that Jesus Christ will remain in the heavens until the restoration of all things spoken by the prophets everything that was lost in the falling away he’s going to bring back amen. but see the Catholics and Orthodox didn’t understand that and they don’t understand it today. in 1300 AD people like Wycliffe stood up to the [unclear] to the Catholic church and said no the authority is based on the Bible not church doctrine the [unclear] the [unclear] and many other groups rose up the first thing that God restored is the Bible is the authority to make decisions of doctrine on and they rebelled against the Catholic church who said you got to follow our doctrine no matter what are you with me the first thing God restored is the authority of the scriptures and these people lost their life for it

▶ 15:07 I mean you know that is the authority today I don’t care what anybody says the Bible determines what’s right and what’s wrong are we in agreement amen so God started his restoration in the 1300s and then he went on through [unclear] you know Luther Martin Luther who you know founded the Lutheran church which was just a step down from the Catholic church at that time and then the Baptists come along and says we reject sprinkling we reject baby baptisms we got to be baptized after we come to repentance and the knowledge of our sins and so forth and so they stood up for water baptism so what did the Lutherans do you want to be baptized fine come on up here will baptize you and they held them [unclear] and drowned them see they opposed the next move of God most of you don’t know this stuff because you watch tv instead of studying but this.

▶ 16:06 Is true this is in history you can go check it out. Every move of God. Oppose the next move of God and then along came the Presbyterians that we got to have a government you know by presbytery not by the pope and then comes along the [unclear] the Congregationalists you know they got a rule and all this stuff and then the Methodists come along with John Wesley and so forth with sanctification and holiness and on up through the line we start getting these denominations and each one is in their little camp and have nothing to do with the other one and each one thinks they are the real [unclear] and they’re rejecting what God is doing even though they’re told them they don’t believe it they stick with their crowd are you there is that happening in America today absolutely.

▶ 17:05 Absolutely. So. The restoration came God’s restoring faith and repentance faith. Faith for salvation repentance from sin and water baptism and all these things he’s restoring okay and then in the 1700s the. liberal church arose and they use the name of liberal so I’m using their name yeah you know they brag about being liberal change I’m gonna brag about how wrong they are. You know they want the title I’ll give them what they stand for it was a season of reasoning logic. The season of science was coming in that magic word if it’s scientific it’s true and so they said it is scientifically impossible.

▶ 18:06 to be born birth from a virgin so the birth of Christ was not from a virgin it is an allegory a metaphor a parable of a truth it never really happened because it is irrational it is illogical and they went on miracles can’t be done because that nobody can open eyes the blind and nobody can grow hands that are you know maimed [unclear] and all this stuff and so miracles could not happen because it’s not logical there’s no rational reason to explain it. Jesus did not have to die on the cross for the sins of the world all you have to do is repent they believe what the Jews say you just repent and you’re forgiven no after Christ came you’ve got to accept his atonement for your sin his payment sin has to have a payment and Christ paid that price could that be an amen.

▶ 19:12 that’s a fact and the liberal will say no way and he couldn’t have risen rose from the dead because the dead can’t rise so he didn’t rise from the dead he’s not coming back there is no hell because he’s a God of love and love would never hurt anybody so there’s no hell this is what came in and they called them self liberals liberal means change from the old way progressive change you heard the word progressive in our day that’s liberals you heard the word liberals in our day this is them. you heard the word Democrats in our day [unclear]. you heard the word RINO in the Republican party they are liberals. Are you there you need to know this stuff and stop believing everything on the six o’clock news.

But God not only said he would restore he said I will bring times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord and you can read any Britannica or any encyclopedia and they will give you four great awakenings spiritual awakenings in Europe and America it’s in the history books are you there they don’t know it but they’re writing about God fulfilling his promise to come and move spiritually and bring people back to a spiritual connection and understanding and so God did that in the 1700s and out of that refreshing arose people that said no he was born of a virgin he did die on the cross he is coming again he did do signs and wonders and miracles water baptism is a basic truth of the Bible and they were called.

▶ 21:11 fundamentalist have you heard the word fundamentalist this is where it came from it came from that great awakening back there that people rose up and confronted the liberals with the basic fundamental means basic basic things you cannot change and it came to a head in 1925 1926 at the Scopes trial [unclear] called the monkey trial and the fundamentalist wrote a book that at that time called the fundamentals of the Christian religion or the fundamentals of the Bible okay and it was powerful and it really helped people to. separate from [unclear] because the liberals had infiltrated the denominations but these people other people in the denominations who were called fundamentalist confronted it are you there all the denominations were infiltrated by the liberal back then but the fundamentalist in the same churches the Baptists the Lutheran and the Methodist they rose up and said no this is the basic gospel isn’t that beautiful that God is restoring back the authority of the Bible all right so he brought that time of refreshing but

▶ 22:28 Just like before them the fundamentalist. didn’t agree with the Pentecostals and they said the Pentecostals were a bunch of loons. Baptism of the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues and healings and miracles and all that and prophecy in the laying on of hands that’s that not for today that stopped with the apostles and they would not accept the Pentecostals. So what did God do in 1948 he moved in the last great awakening not the last one but the last one in history okay there’s another one coming I can assure you. All right what did he do he came back and visited the church with the baptism of the Holy Spirit again with speaking in tongues and healing Oral Roberts was in the healing stream and the Pentecostal stream Billy Graham

▶ 23:25 who was a Baptist and a fundamentalist switched to a group called the evangelicals. The fundamentalist would have nothing to do with anybody that didn’t agree with him Billy Graham said no we’ve got to mingle together with our differences and solve our differences by mingling together and by accepting one another where we’re at and so Billy Graham one of the most famous preachers that came out of the 1948 revival switched to being an [unclear] and they are known throughout this history also but they kind of watered out the fundamentalist got the the main attention but they rose back in that late forties revival and they said we’ve got to come together and so Oral Roberts and Billy Graham both would allow anybody in their meetings.

▶ 24:27 And you could work with them no matter what church so the Baptists would have nothing to do with Billy Graham did you know that. Yeah Bob Jones University constantly attacked Billy Graham because of his ecumenical thinking that Catholics can come everybody can come and the Baptists who were staunch fundamentalist said no it you don’t agree with us we can’t mingle are you there so God see when these things come up God comes and shows things how they truly are then in the 60s God poured out the Holy Ghost again and I told you before and you can read it in history he started with the Episcopalians in the early 60s he went from the Episcopalian to the Lutherans to the Presbyterians to the Methodists all the way up and he saved the best for last the Catholics in 1968 God came to the Catholic church throughout the world and filled Catholics with his Holy Spirit with tongues and everything that went with it he didn’t ask the pope’s permission and he didn’t ask the charismatics and the Pentecostals’ permission who thought they had a handle on the baptism of the Holy Ghost they thought everybody had to come to them they’re going to get the Holy Ghost and God just just eliminated everybody’s thinking in the sixties by just coming and filling

▶ 25:58 [unclear] people in every denomination with the Holy Spirit and I was a young evangelist at that time going door-to-door preaching on street corners and all that and I got to see and experience this in person people would ask me are you spirit filled and I said yes they said well you know we were in our church and something came through the ceiling and and we don’t know what was but this happened and that happened and [unclear] we were in the church and [unclear] and something just welled up within us and and we poured out these statements about God and all this you know they didn’t know what they were talking about they said what is that and I could tell them why cuz I was filled with the Holy Spirit. Are you there now folks I’m telling you the truth and you can verify it by reading some history God in the 60s put the fundamentalists and the evangelicals on top of

▶ 26:55 acceptance in the church world before that the Pentecostals were considered the [unclear] of the Christians you know the people on the other side of the tracks you don’t want nothing to do with them but in the 60s God brought them right up to the top and guess what is the fastest growing church in the world right now the spirit-filled church you see we are in a decline in America but South America Africa and Pacific Asia is in an increase God is saving miracles are going on people are being filled with the spirit they’re speaking in tongues and things are happening over there and the Christian population has moved from the northern hemisphere to the southern hemisphere and the last like 10 or 15 years we are no longer the majority of Christians the people in the southern hemisphere the South Americans the Africans and the Pacific Asia is way past us and Christian belief and following Christ are you with me and they’re having a revival right now I’m jealous [unclear] when I talk to God I tell him you know I appreciate what you’re doing down there but we need something here in Elsinore you know hey.

▶ 28:10 Don’t forget us is that a fair prayer yeah yeah. So. God wants all religions in to his church including the Hindus and the Buddhists and the Muslims okay he wants all cultures the Eskimos the Africans the South Americans the Europeans the Asians the Polynesians he wants them all in. his church is that an amen. Above else he wants all sinners including homosexuals adulterers prostitutes thieves murderers he wants them in his church is that an amen we mustn’t lose sight of that now.

▶ 29:03 The Bible says press toward the mark of the high calling of God the high calling of God is love. Church you can understand the whole Bible if you understand to love God and to love your neighbor and to love yourself and the Bible interprets love is doing no harm don’t behave in a manner or speak in a manner that hurts God don’t behave in a manner that hurts your neighbor or speak in a manner and don’t behave in a manner that hurts yourself. The Bible says on this all the law and the prophets hang. So see all of you can understand the Bible if you analyze your thinking by those two scriptures.

▶ 29:55 That make sense the theologians get us so twisted with all this [unclear] nonsense. When it’s really that basic is God a God of love yes. So when you get God you get love and love does no harm to their neighbor. The high calling is doing right making right choices the high calling is truth the high calling is unity did not Jesus pray Lord make them one as you and I are one has that happened yet how can he come back then. Yeah I got your attention there didn’t I oh.

▶ 30:53 We’re so excited about all these people preaching the coming is right [unclear] there is some stuff that’s got to be done as you will see in this series of teaching okay and the correction of criminals. The correction of sin in the church the correction of criminals in society do we correct criminals today no the liberals have so eroded California that you can literally murder and spend an average of three to five years in prison [unclear] is that the proper punishment for a murder a cold-blooded premeditated murder no and it’s not Bible either. but they have so deluded our thinking we just accept it all right but that’s the goal of God do we have justice throughout the world with the punishment of criminals and the praise of good doers no no we’re not in America nowhere are you there so how can Jesus come.

▶ 32:05 Is he lying to us or can he do this. Amen church has God got you thinking this morning okay here we are again with this basic foundation down here is Jesus the apostles of prophets and the gospel solid foundation the early church solid foundation and then along come the Catholic and the Orthodox church and they have to take responsibility for this because they brag about being the church back there. What did they do to leave the first beliefs. For other beliefs we need to know because they cause the great falling away they brought in the exaltation and the worship of Mary and the saints and folks.

▶ 33:00 This is why I cannot be a conservative. Hannity Bill O’Reilly Ingraham all of these popular conservatives are also Catholics or Orthodox and that means they accept Mary and the saints and they even [unclear] I heard Laura Ingraham mention St. Joseph you know we got to get St. Joseph’s altar and I’m thinking oh my God that is a liberal church. Preaching a conservative political agenda. Amen don’t we stand for right above everything yes above everything and we’ve got to work with people that work with us in the areas that we can work with them don’t get me wrong but I believe we need a righteous party a truth party in America.

▶ 34:00 they have icons and statues I would love to ask Hannity and Bill O’Reilly and Ingraham who are well-educated people how can you stand before an icon or a statue and intelligently. Give any credit to that thing helping you in prayer or whatever. are you there I mean [unclear] we’re to worship the invisible God we don’t need an icon we don’t need a statue to help us could that be an amen we worship an invisible God we don’t need anything to remind us of it and the apostles and the prophets in the New Testament were nothing more than mere men with an anointing and an ability in God to do things and who gets the credit God who gives the ability could that be an amen.

▶ 34:57 they brought in penance you know say [unclear] 10 Hail Marys Hail Marys ain’t gonna do beans for you and then they brought in indulgences you could pay money so the rich could live any way they want [unclear] pay money to the church they’re going to heaven okay indulge yourself. They brought in purgatory a place between heaven and hell you know and that you can get out if people pray enough and hard enough for you if they can get you out and [unclear] big enough money they can get you out quick. this is the Catholics and the Orthodox church okay Eastern Orthodox Russian Orthodox they’re all the same all right they brought in the robes I mean [unclear] both churches [unclear] robes and the fancy buildings and everything to make you think you’re [unclear] a spiritual sanctuary isn’t that right.

▶ 35:56 Robert Schuller did it with the Crystal Cathedral you know just wooed everybody came oh look at the [unclear] you better be looking at the builder. not a building could I get an amen the building is the church the builder is Jesus Christ. okay the Inquisition the candles and the holy water you know [unclear] they still do it today lighting a candle does nothing for you. Holy water does nothing for you the sign of the cross does nothing for you calling someone a priest does nothing and calling anyone on earth a spiritual father is forbidden by Jesus Christ himself who said call no man father you have one father in heaven the spiritual father we have natural fathers but he’s talking about our spiritual father is God is that an amen and they do it they do it and the world accepts it and it’s apostasy it’s the falling away it’s the fulfillment of what the prophets said God is doing and he’s restoring and brings spiritual awakenings and they won’t believe it even though they see it and they hear it they won’t believe it.

▶ 37:22 the bread is Christ transubstantiation they actually say at that moment the bread becomes Jesus Christ instead of what the Bible says do this in remembrance of my death showing forth my death when we take the communion we’re showing forth the death of Christ like water baptism we’re in the grave we die to our old sinful nature we come out a new person to follow [unclear] being a slave of righteousness are you with me. you can’t marry [unclear] minister in fact back in those days men castrated themselves I don’t know what the nuns did. But the men actually castrated themselves so they could be a minister they couldn’t marry and because they couldn’t marry they couldn’t really support themselves and so they had what they call spiritual marriages a man and woman would live together to pool their money together but never have sex now can you imagine me living in the same house with Rebecca my wife and staying celibate [unclear] no way [unclear] I doubt

And so what does the Catholic [unclear] there’s a problem with sex homosexuality adultery fornication was going on with nuns men with men women with women it wasn’t working and in the first council at Nicaea when they were debating who Christ was was he God was he human was he not human. Are we still debating who Christ is today it’s ridiculous and all the time they’re committing sexual immorality they’re robbing people of their money they’re living fancy they have diamond rings and all kinds of houses in the suburbs fancy homes and all this and they’re like

▶ 39:36 60% of ministers in the Catholic church and the Orthodox were alcoholics and they are today they won’t tell you that but it’s true you got to do some serious digging to find this out. rich temples and here you are there’s their temples [unclear] boy [unclear] y’all to see the interior you ought to see the pope’s house in the Vatican my gosh man Trump has nothing over the pope. Are you there the Vatican oh by the way has its own bank.

▶ 40:20 So they have the sin of money they have sex and all that and they got these rich [unclear] look at their robes they got look at me I’m an orthodox I’m a catholic I’m a minister look at me huh we should be what the light of the world the people seeing are what good works not our clothing not our beards or no beards could that be an amen see they they left they committed the apostasy they committed the falling away and they will not agree that they are though God told of the falling away the Catholic and Orthodox church did not believe they did it and are fulfilling it they will not believe it even though it’s told them and even though they can see the difference in their world they stick to their own beliefs and reject the early church beliefs are you there.

▶ 41:18 Okay I’m going to show you something that. People have brainwashed you into believing that is not true all your Christian life are you ready for this we’re going to look at the falling away chapter and I want you to take note of two things the use of the third-person word do you understand what the third-person is. okay instead of [unclear] first person he third-person got it instead of you instead of the congregation first person you third person or they third person got it now watch this closely and the next thing I want you to know is that the word antichrist is not in this chapter do you understand that they say this is the chapter of the antichrist the word antichrist is not in this chapter the only place the antichrist is in is in the letters of John.

▶ 42:31 okay and you can’t bring out the antichrist and put him in 2 Thessalonians unless the apostles did it it could have been any [unclear] now watch closely [unclear]. Now. It starts out in second Thessalonians 2:3 let no man deceive you what’s the third person word man male. when the Greek word itself does not mean male nor female the Greek word is no one or person. You see when the Bible says I would that men everywhere lift up holy hands without wrath or doubting it’s the same word person men women rich poor every human being is included are you with me but the interpreters of the Bible both your King James New King James NIV Amplified and all the rest use the pronoun him.

▶ 43:35 or man I’m sorry man okay when it’s not it’s just what no one [unclear] can a deceiver be female absolutely. Let them not deceive you mislead you and misinform you okay but what are we going to get misinformed on the second coming of Christ so he’s talking about the second coming of Christ and not being deceived you got it that’s the subject of this chapter. Now. unless the falling away first. Unless there comes a falling away an apostasy the leaving of the first beliefs for other beliefs comes first are you with me now. The man of sin revealed here it is masculine again like it’s a male when the word here again is just like this word it’s a person it’s.

And before Christ comes there has to be a Revelation of the falling away and the people of sin revealed is that correct is that correct has there been that Revelation yet no because these people still think they’re doing all right.
