From the sermonHow to obtain eternal life? · Pastor David G. Kincer▶ 0:00

Pastor David G. Kincer asks how we enter the kingdom of God. Not all who say Lord, Lord will enter, and miracles alone don’t prove approval. We must be born again of the Spirit and the word, become as little children, and bring forth fruit worthy of repentance, since all will be judged by their works. The service closes in surrender and song.

What did Jesus tell us to remember?

▶ Watch this part (0:05)

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 0:05 We’re starting off our lesson today with remembering John 15:20 says remember the word that I said unto you Jesus told the people. And we’re going to have a little bit of remembrance here seek the Lord we found in Hosea 10 12 till he comes and reigns righteousness on you seek him till God responds and reigns down upon us a fountain shall be opened it says in Zechariah 13 1 in the house of David and Jerusalem the people of God to cleanse from sin and uncleanness. God promised a fountain to cleanse sin not some man-made method but a spiritual fountain to cleanse away the uncleanness the wickedness in our life and the sins the disobeying of God’s laws in our life so let’s seek the Lord let’s remember to seek the Lord till he comes and let’s remember.

Scripture (NKJV)

John 15:20 (NKJV)

Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

What was God’s first plan?

▶ Watch this part (1:08)

Short answer: To save the nations; the church evangelized them, and we must do the same.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:08 To let him cleanse us with that fire of his spirit and that fire of his word. We found also that God’s first plan was to save the nations. We found that he gave Israel the Jews. They were chosen to reach the nations and they failed to do that. So Jesus took the kingdom from them we found out in our previous session and he gave it to a people bearing the fruits of the kingdom the righteousness the peace and the joy and the power of the kingdom. The Jews fail will we fail well we haven’t felt so bad so far the church has reached all the nations with the gospel of the kingdom all the nations weren’t even discovered until the late 1800s.

▶ 2:01 But the church went out and evangelized the nations and I trust we in our generation will do the same thing and the people around us are the nations we don’t have to go overseas. The righteousness. Is required. The peace stop fighting and quarreling. The joy that heals sadness and depression it’s like a medicine a joy no man could take away and that power the spirit Jesus said I you shall receive power when the Holy Ghost will come upon you to be witnesses unto me so God equips us to reach the nations. Jesus did three things to reach the nations he went into the Jewish synagogues and preached to the Jews the Israelites who didn’t like him they they didn’t favor Jesus but he had such power and authority that he could preach anywhere and no one could stop him if he didn’t want him to then he went outside the Jewish synagogues and preached the kingdom of God to all people.

What did Jesus do?

▶ Watch this part (3:12)

Short answer: Signs and wonders, healing all manner of sickness and disease.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 3:12 And then the third thing he did is he did signs and wonders healing all the sicknesses and these diseases all manner of sicknesses the Bible said he healed them all and folks that is the absolute. Unrefutable evidence that there is a supernatural God when he can do supernatural things that mankind cannot do he shows there is a living God. And his son Jesus was sent to save us from our sins. We are going to go now Matthew’s at the sermon on the mount Matthew 7. Verse 14. Jesus said straight is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to life.

How do we enter the kingdom?

▶ Watch this part (4:07)

Short answer: Through the strait gate and narrow way.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 4:07 So we’re going to ask ourselves how do we enter this kingdom of God how do we get through this strait gate and narrow roadway that leads to everlasting life leads to the king of the kingdom Jesus Christ a kingdom is an area ruled over by a king and the kingdom of God of course is the area ruled over by. King Jesus God the father. So we’ll go to the servant on the mount Matthew 5 verse 20 unless your righteousness surpasses the scribes and the Pharisees you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. So he tells us plainly that it’s righteous living choosing to live right choosing to speak right is what’s going to get us into the kingdom the scribes who were the theologians of the day.

▶ 5:02 And the Pharisees who were the part of the Jews that believed in life after death they believed in angels and spirits and so forth but they didn’t accept Christ when he came and they didn’t walk in the ways of God Jesus called them hypocrites you say and you do not you teach these things but you don’t follow what your t what you say the Bible teaches and the scribes of course they were the lawyers the the theologians of the time they’re the one that told everybody what the scriptures meant and when Jesus came along he showed they were all wrong they deciphered the scriptures incorrectly. Every one of them and folks we got to watch that today that we don’t change the scriptures add to or take away or just.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 7:13-14 (NKJV)

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

— Matthew 7:13-14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:07

How should we take Scripture?

▶ Watch this part (5:56)

Short answer: As it is revealed; we don’t want theologians twisting it to our destruction.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 5:56 Just get the scriptures as they were are revealed to us. We don’t want theologians today that twist the scriptures to our destruction. In. Chapter 6 33 it says seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you so here we see righteousness again and he said put the kingdom of God first. Put righteousness peace and joy and the power of the spirit first and I’ll add food clothing shelter. Medical needs I’ll add everything you need if you seek the kingdom of God first and the king of righteousness Jesus Christ so righteousness is a way to enter into the kingdom that’s the doorway to choose to live right is the door opens for us to go into the kingdom.

Will everyone who says Lord enter?

▶ Watch this part (6:59)

Short answer: No. Only he who does the will of the Father.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 6:59 In Matthew 7:21 not all that call me Lord will enter the kingdom of God a lot of people will tell you if you call on the name of the Lord you shall be saved and the Bible says that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you shall be saved the Bible says that but if you don’t live right and choose to follow what’s right you’re not going to enter that kingdom of God you’re not going to enter that eternal life. Jesus goes on to say them that do the will of the father will enter the kingdom of heaven. And the will of the father is we live righteous we be at peace stop the quarreling stop the fighting with God stop fighting with one another have the joy of the Lord that no man can take away and does good like a medicine and be filled with the Holy Spirit’s power.

▶ 7:57 So we are a witness in the earth a light to the world. Seen by our good works our good works of righteousness. That’s what God says we need to have a goal toward we need to choose that. Plan of his to live right speak right and do right and then we’ll enter the kingdom of God and possess the kingdom of God. Then he says people will come to him and say Lord Lord have we not prophesied in your name didn’t we cast out devils in your name. Didn’t we do many miraculous works in your name. You see. God. Touching people through our lives is not God’s approval. God using us to preach the gospel.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 7:21 (NKJV)

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

— Matthew 7:21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:59

Do supernatural works prove God’s approval?

▶ Watch this part (8:50)

Short answer: Not necessarily; that fools a lot of people. Turn from sin and live right.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 8:50 To heal the sick. To do supernatural works is not necessarily his approval and this fools a lot of people God loves people and remember he used judas who was a thief. And had a Devil. And judas preached the gospel and cast out devils and healed the sick so those things aren’t God’s approval righteousness is God’s approval. And he goes on to say I never knew you. Even though you did all these things I never knew you’d depart from me you workers of iniquity they were living an unrighteous life even while they were preaching the gospel casting out devils and doing mighty works and Jesus said I never knew you because you live unrighteously folks we’ve got to repent from sin.

▶ 9:53 Turn from sin and live rightly that’s what the kingdom is all about and that’s what opens the door to the kingdom and that’s where you get to possess righteousness peace and joy and power in the Holy Spirit. John 3:5 except the man be born of the water and of the spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Here is the key to us attaining righteousness peace and joy. Is Jesus comes with his Holy Spirit. And he births us. Into the spiritual kingdom and to the spiritual realm. And that birthing. Of the Holy Spirit and the word of God opens the door for us to enter that kingdom of God and live right.

What is born of water and Spirit?

▶ Watch this part (10:50)

Short answer: People argue about the womb; Peter says we are born again of the word.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 10:50 People want to argue about what born of the water is some say it’s because uh the the baby in the womb is in water so you got to be born to be a human being and born of the spirit both before you can enter the kingdom and they can use that that’s okay because the Bible never says that anyone but human beings can be reconciled repent and restored back to God. Angels that fell away demons and all that can’t be restored Satan can be restored just human so okay we can say that’s okay some people say it’s baptism of water and that’s okay Romans 6 says when we get baptized we go down into the grave with Christ and we die. That man of sin dies and we are raised up a new creature. We’re raised up. A person that’s a slave for righteousness to serve God in righteousness so we can say water baptism is okay.

▶ 11:51 But also in Peter we find that Peter says we’re born of the word we’re born again of the word Jesus said my word is spirit and my spirit and the word agree. So we can also say the washing of the water of the word the word we’re baptized and born again of the word and the spirit whatever how you want to do it the thing of it is is the spirit of God comes in our life and he makes the changes in our life. That’s how we enter the kingdom of God thank God for that and people laugh at people that believe in being born again but when you understand what born again is not just believing you’re born again it’s experience the spirit changing your life birthing you into spiritual things and into his spiritual kingdom praise God in Matthew 18:3.

having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,

— 1 Peter 1:23 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 11:51

How must we enter?

▶ Watch this part (12:53)

Short answer: Unless you are converted and become as little children, you will not enter.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 12:53 Except you be converted and become as little children you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven. Okay to enter the kingdom of heaven here we got to be converted we got to turn. Change directions from evil. To righteousness. He said and you if you’re not converted if you don’t change directions in your lifestyle directions in your life you’re not going to enter the kingdom and he says if you don’t become as little children little children as used in the New Testament this word here in the greek is infant to a small child. So. An infant and a small child they are totally dependent on their parents. They have to listen to their father and their mother so they don’t get hurt they have to rely on the father and the mother to feed them to clothe them to wash them to take care of them and to teach them.

▶ 13:54 The right things to do so that they don’t harm themselves don’t stick your finger in the electric socket no don’t do this no they learn the word no first before mom and dad they learn the word no. And Jesus said if you don’t become like little children that depend on the father God and on his son Jesus Christ. And listen to their words and follow their words and obey them blindly you don’t have to understand what mom and dad mean you just need to understand they are your protection they are your safeguard they are your guide and in the kingdom of God Jesus Christ and the father God is our father and Jesus is our is his son and we are to obey them they will guide us safely they will protect us they will take care of us they will teach us the right way to go.

▶ 14:55 We got to become a little child and just believe and accept what the father says we don’t have to understand everything. Except to do right you don’t have to understand Moses tabernacle how the creation really happened you don’t have to understand any of that. As long as you understand the father is telling you to live right don’t sin. Don’t get intoxicated don’t take drugs don’t get into witchcraft don’t be a violent person that hurts others. Don’t steal don’t kill don’t hate don’t do these things love people. Do what’s right work provide for yourself seek God if you obey him. You don’t have to understand the book of Revelations or anything.

▶ 15:47 When you understand the father says to live right. You’ll enter the kingdom and you’ll possess the kingdom. That’s all you need to know. In Luke 17:21 the kingdom of God is within you where’s the kingdom it’s in here the kingdom is an area ruled over by a king. And God wants to rule our life he wants to be Lord of our life he wants us to listen to him and follow him and do what’s right. And so the kingdom is within us and we enter that kingdom spiritually. By doing what’s right and getting born again being birthed of the spirit John 7:38 he that believes on me out of his belly shall flow rivers of life-giving water rivers of living water John 4:14 says they that drink of the waters that I give them will never never never thirst again.

▶ 16:55 You will never thirst for spiritual things you will always be eating and digesting spiritual things the spiritual word the spiritual presence of God you will always be nourishing yourself you will never be hungry and you never be thirsty spiritually when you follow God into his kingdom by living right and by letting the spirit of God and the word of God birth you. Into that kingdom. Revelation 20 verse 12 tells us plainly. That the dead both small and great will one day stand before God. The books are going to be open that records everything that we said or did. The book of life will be there with our name in it and all the dead are going to be judged out of those things written in the books.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 18:3 (NKJV)

and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

— Matthew 18:3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:53

Are we judged by works?

▶ Watch this part (17:55)

Short answer: Yes. Many stand on grace and faith with no works, but each will be judged according to his works.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 17:55 According to the works there is a lot of Christians that really stand on grace. And faith and no works for by grace are you saved through faith not of works lest any men should boast but if they read the very next verse. It says we were created in Christ Jesus to do good works we were created in Christ Jesus to live righteously we were created in Christ Jesus to be born by that spirit of righteousness his first name is Holy Spirit holy his last name is spirit when you have the Holy Spirit you will be driven to live right to live a holy life. And do right works.

▶ 18:49 And if you don’t on that day you’re going to be judged according to your works now a lot of people. Put their confidence. In. The blood. Jesus is the savior he blood his blood cleanses from all sin. A lot of people put their confidence in faith. Believing that he died on the cross for our sin a lot of people put their confidence in confessing their sins and turning from their sin. And a lot of people put their confidence in water baptism. And the Bible says repent and be baptized every one of you for the forgiveness of sin the remission of sin the Bible says they that believe in the Lord Jesus Christ will will have eternal life so faith it’s all in there if you confess your sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness all those steps are there.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Revelation 20:12 (NKJV)

And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.

— Revelation 20:12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 18:49

What is the other step?

▶ Watch this part (19:59)

Short answer: Bring forth fruit worthy of repentance; turn from sin to righteousness.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 19:59 But there’s another step. Bring forth the fruit of repentance. Bring forth the fruit worthy of repentance. If we don’t bring forth the fruit and live right that blood doesn’t do us any good. That faith doesn’t do us any good that grace doesn’t do us any good that baptism doesn’t do us any good. That being sorry for our sins and admitting we’re a sinner and and saying we’re going to turn but we didn’t turn doesn’t do us any good. What does us good is. Hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ how he died to lay down his life no man had the power to take it for the sins of the world he laid down his life and when we hear that message we believe it and put our trust in it we respond.

▶ 20:54 And when we hear that we need to repent of our sins and stop sinning we repent and we turn from those sins and we turn to righteousness. And we get water baptized. And then we bring forth the fruit of repentance and if we fall and we fail we go to him and we ask him to forgive us we repent from that sin we turn back from that sin we put our trust in that blood that cleanses us from present sin as well as yesterday’s sin. And when we get to heaven. And they open those books the Bible says all of our sins are blotted out of the book. And our name is in the book of life the book of life.

▶ 21:46 And we will spend eternity in a new heaven and a new earth with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ but while we’re down here we can have those rivers of water pouring out of our being. We can be birthed in the spiritual things and grow in spiritual things we can have a life that is blessed here on earth and when we die we live eternity with Jesus Christ in a new heaven and in a new earth and I submit to you today if you’re sinning repent from your sins I don’t care if you’re a Christian for 40 years and your sinning turn from those sins. Jesus will forgive you he will cleanse you he will restore you he’ll put life back in you. And if you’re one that’s been serving Christ all this time just expand.

▶ 22:43 Expand and increase your dimension of spirituality. Let the spirit of God use you and be a light to the world and the mouthpiece for the word of God as we go into prayer. Let’s search our hearts and let’s search our spirits. Are we right with God. Are we pursuing righteousness or have we become complacent. Are we people that want to bring forth the fruit of the kingdom and reach the nations. Both the believer and the unbeliever or are we just comfortable where we’re at. And just waiting to go to heaven. As we go into prayer let’s let the Holy Ghost examine our spirits our attitudes our goals our desires and let him come and change us today.
