How to Have No Fail Success: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
In “How to Have No Fail Success,” Pastor David G. Kincer walks through the new covenant promises in Ezekiel 11, 36 and 37 — one heart, a new spirit, a heart of flesh, cleansing by the word, and the covenant of peace that makes believers priests — and shows where the New Testament says the same. He teaches that God says “I will” and does the changing, while we must respond, seek Him and apply ourselves. He closes with accounts of early martyrs and the deathbed words of well-known unbelievers.
What is the new covenant promise in Ezekiel 11, and why should we know it?
Short answer: He says we should know the covenant, even have it memorized, because “this is powerful.” In Ezekiel 11 God says “I will gather you,” and he ties this to the church being the called-out ones, brought out of the power of Satan into a spiritual land, not a natural one.
▶ 0:00 So this is a very important thing. You got to know the covenant. You really do. You should have this memorized, basically. You need to pray about the covenant, you need to get this in your brain, because this is powerful. Okay, the new covenant, Ezekiel 11:16-21. First of all, He introduces the topic like Jeremiah does: “I will gather you from the people.” And in the New Testament we actually find that the church, the word church, means the called-out ones. Okay, and in Acts 26:18 the Bible says that Jesus came to turn people from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to the power of God. So He’s bringing us out from under the authority and the power, the kingdom of darkness and Satan, and placing us in, He isn’t bringing us into a natural land, He’s bringing us into a spiritual land. Got it?

Ezekiel 11:16-21 (NKJV)
Therefore say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Although I have cast them far off among the Gentiles, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet I shall be a little sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.” ’ Therefore say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “I will gather you from the peoples, assemble you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.” ’ And they will go there, and they will take away all its detestable things and all its abominations from there. Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments and do them; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God. But as for those whose hearts follow the desire for their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their deeds on their own heads,” says the Lord GOD.

to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’
— Acts 26:18 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:00Why does he say there is only one pastor and one church?
Short answer: He says Ezekiel’s “one heart” matches Jesus saying there will be one fold and one shepherd, and that no pastor on earth can be your pastor because there is only one, Jesus Christ. He says that following one shepherd in one direction impresses unbelievers, and he points to the one accord of Pentecost.
▶ 1:07 Number two, He said, “I will give them one heart.” Same thing Jeremiah said. If you see the italics up here, it’s exactly what Jeremiah said. “I will give them one heart.” Now in John 10:18 Jesus said there will be one fold and one shepherd. Hallelujah. There is no pastor on earth that can be your pastor. We are strictly delegated ministers of the gospel. There is only one pastor, one shepherd, and that is Jesus Christ. Do we understand that? And you better be under Him. You know, don’t go around saying, “My pastor is Dave Kinzer.” No, your pastor is the Lord Jesus Christ. He better be. In John
▶ 2:06 17:21 Jesus prayed this prayer: “Father, make them one, that the world may believe and know that You have sent Me.” See, us having one pastor, following one direction, impresses the unbeliever so much that they will believe and know, and it’s imperative that we strive to be one in God. Can I hear an amen? And in America we got so many denominations and so many voices and so many books and so many ways of doing things. There’s only one shepherd, one way, one truth, one baptism, one church in the Bible. Can I hear an amen? And we need to remember that. And that’s our promise from the Old Testament and in the New. And remember, in Acts one, on the day of Pentecost they were in one accord.

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
— Acts 2:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 2:06What does “a new spirit within you” mean, and is the Holy Spirit with us or in us?
Short answer: He says Jesus told His apostles that the Spirit of truth was with them and would be in them, and he links John 7:38 with John 3:16, saying both come as a package. He says that when you accept Christ He comes in you, but there is also an infilling of the Holy Ghost of power, and these are “two different things.”
▶ 3:00 When the wind blew and the tongues of fire came and they spoke the mighty works of God, they were one. So He fulfilled that. Number three in Ezekiel, describing the new covenant: “I will put a new spirit within you.” When we go to the New Testament, John 14:17 it says the Spirit of truth, “He dwells with you and shall be in you.” You see, Jesus backs it up and says, listen, and He’s talking to His apostles, listen, the Holy Spirit’s with you, because Jesus was with them, but He said, “My Spirit’s going to be in you,” because the day of Pentecost was coming, when He would pour out of their innermost being that Holy Spirit and that river of life-giving water. Are you with me? I wish we’d stop arguing about the Holy Ghost and just get it. I really would. I, I
▶ 4:02 ah. And in John 7:38, this is the scripture that I get all the people that oppose the Holy Ghost with. How many, you know, John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him”, now repeat that, “whosoever believeth on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” Well, in John [unclear] Jesus says the same statement in John 7:38: “He that believeth on Me, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” Now how can you tell me that? And “this spake He of the Holy Ghost,” which was to come and be what? In us. He’s with us, but He’ll be in us.
▶ 5:01 Hallelujah. So how can you take John 3:16 and say, “Yeah, boy, if I believe, I’ll have eternal life,” and then you go to John 7:38 and you go, “No, no, no, no, no, believing on Jesus, that’s not for today”? You can’t do that. They both come as a package. Can I hear an amen? Hallelujah. That Holy Ghost is very important, folks. When you accept Christ, in you He comes in you, but there is an infilling of the Holy Ghost of power. Okay, there are two different things. Number four: “I will take the stony heart out of their flesh and will give them a heart of flesh.” You see, a stone is like this wood. It doesn’t have any feelings. I can beat it, smack it, spit on it, and it just stands there. It’s got no feelings, no

— John 3:16 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:02What is a heart of stone, and what is a heart of flesh?
Short answer: He says a stone has no feelings or sensitivity, and he says many American Christians have a heart of stone and are stubborn in thinking and spirit. A heart of flesh senses and can respond, and he says Jesus wants to give us that sensitive heart.
▶ 6:07 sensitivity. And that’s a lot of us American Christians. We don’t have any sensitivity. We got a heart of stone. We are stubborn in our thinking, we are stubborn in our spirit, and we need Jesus to come along with His jackhammer and break that [unclear] up. Amen. He wants to give us a heart of flesh. See, my flesh feels. See, it senses heat, it senses coldness, it feels pain, and He wants to give us a heart that is sensitive so we can what? Respond to it. If I’m cold, I need to respond and what? Get warm. If I’m hot, I need to respond and back away. See, if something is hurting me, I got my finger in the door and something is hurting me, I need to what? Get rid of the source of the

— Ezekiel 11:19 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:07Why does God give us a new heart? Do we obey because we have to?
Short answer: He says the reason is that we may walk in His statutes and keep His ordinances, and he links it to John 14:23. We obey, he says, not as robots but because we love Him and want to please Him.
▶ 7:11 pain. Hallelujah. And if I love something, I want to what? Embrace it, feel that love. And so He says, “I will take the stony heart out of their flesh. I will give them a heart of flesh.” And here’s the reason: “that they may walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances and do them.” In John 14:23 Jesus said, “If a man loves Me, he will keep My words.” You see, He gives us this heart to fall in love with Jesus, to desire Jesus, and because we love Him, we want to please Him, so we obey Him. We’re not robots. Okay, “I accepted Christ, thou shalt not, thou shalt not.” No, it is because I care for Him, because I love Him, because I appreciate Him, I will keep His word. — John 14:23 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:11Is believing, grace or good works enough if our heart follows detestable things?
Short answer: He says God will hold accountable those whose hearts walk after detestable things and abominations, and “bring problems and pain” into their lives to correct them. He says believing, grace, paying tithes and helping the poor “isn’t going to cut it” if we do the things God detests.
▶ 8:25 rewards. Hallelujah. Now number five: “They shall be My people and I will be their God.” That’s exactly what Jeremiah said, the exact statement. Verse 21: “As for them whose heart walks after the heart [unclear] their detestable things and their abominations,” those things that God hates, “I will recompense their way upon their own head, says the Lord.” Believing isn’t going to cut it. Grace [unclear] isn’t going to cut it. Paying tithes isn’t going to cut it. Helping the poor isn’t going to cut it. He said, if you do those things that I detest, I’m going to come and hold you accountable for them and bring problems and pain in your life to correct

But as for those whose hearts follow the desire for their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their deeds on their own heads,” says the Lord GOD.
— Ezekiel 11:21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:25How does God cleanse us, and what does the word of God do?
Short answer: In Ezekiel 36 he reads that God will sprinkle clean water on them and cleanse them from their filthiness and idols, and says it is God doing the cleansing. He says the word “not only causes us to grow and delivers us and heals us, but it also cleanses us,” and he calls it “God’s soap,” which is why we need to read it, study it and hear it preached.
▶ 9:38 you. Are you there? And America wonders what’s going wrong with American children when we’re letting American adults teach them wrong, live wrong before them, and everything else, and we wind up we got a generation of kids that don’t know their backside from their front side. Continuing with the new covenant in Ezekiel, and going to Ezekiel 36:24-36, again he starts it by saying, “I will take you from among the heathen.” The heathen are the unbeliever, the non-Jew. “I will gather you out of all the nations, all the countries, and I will bring you into your own land,” which in the New Testament is the kingdom of God. Okay, verse 25.
▶ 10:31 “Then,” at that time, then means at that time, “will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean from all your filthiness, all your impurities, all your idols will I cleanse you.” Who’s doing the cleansing? God. Man, I like that. I really like that, that our God promised these things and He has the power to perform what He promised. In John 15:3 Jesus said, “You are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.” You see, that’s why we need the apostles’ doctrine. That’s why we need the scriptures preached to us in every church. His word not only causes us to grow and delivers us and heals us, but it also cleanses us. It keeps washing us, keeps washing us and washing us.
▶ 11:35 Hallelujah. That’s why we need to read it. That’s why we need to study it. That’s why we need to listen to Bible studies. That word is God’s soap. Ephesians 5:26, Jesus died for His church that He might sanctify it and cleanse the church with the washing of the water by the word. There it is again. You see, church, we got to be hearing the scriptures. Verse 29, number 11: “I will call for the corn and I will increase it and lay no famine upon you.” And He talks more about it in the verse. I just put the pertinent things up there. But what He’s saying here is, I’m going to bless your daily life, I’m going to bless your income, I’m going to bless the food, the clothing, and the shelter. I’m going to do that. Now verse 31 is very interesting, number 12: “You shall dislike yourself for your iniquities and for your abominations.” Now this, He’s talking to His people. You’re going to dislike, you’re going to hate yourself, you’re going to detest yourself. And see, this is the other side, other word for repentance in the New Testament. One is turning and the other one is feeling sorry, feeling bad for what you done. How many know we need both? We need our emotions broken
Scripture in this part
Ezekiel 36:24-25 (NKJV)
For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.

You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

— Ephesians 5:26 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 11:35Ezekiel 36:29 (NKJV)
I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you.
— Ezekiel 36:29 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 11:35Why does he say we need to dislike ourselves for our sins?
Short answer: He says Ezekiel 36:31 shows another side of repentance in the New Testament, feeling sorry as well as turning. He says we need both, and that we need to dislike the wrongs in our life, which costs time, brokenness and honesty, not money. He points to Peter saying “Lord, depart from me, for I’m a sinful man.”
▶ 13:06 that we really feel bad that we would hurt God and we would do such a thing and hurt people. But we also need to what? Turn from the sin. And here He says, “I will come and you’re going to dislike yourself,” and a lot of us need to dislike ourselves. Could that be an amen? See, you can’t change until you dislike. See, if you don’t like your nose, you just go out and pay $22,000 to get it changed. But we need to dislike the wrongs in our life and get [unclear] to cure the wrongs. You know, get implants to cure the wrongs, to make the right grow. Are you there? And it doesn’t cost a penny. It costs your time, it costs your brokenness, it costs your
▶ 14:08 honesty. Hallelujah. In Luke 5:8 Peter said, “Lord, depart from me, for I’m a sinful man.” This is Peter in the very early parts of Luke. In the presence of Jesus, Peter disliked himself. I’m showing you that the New Testament goes along with what Ezekiel told us about the new covenant. Hallelujah. And when Jesus wanted to wash Peter’s feet, he goes, “Oh no, no way, no way you can’t wash my feet. I should be washing Your feet.” And when Jesus said, “Listen, if you won’t let Me wash your feet, you have no part of Me,” “Okay, no problem.”

Ezekiel 36:31 (NKJV)
Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good; and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight, for your iniquities and your abominations.
— Ezekiel 36:31 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 11:35Luke 5:8 (NKJV)
When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!”
— Luke 5:8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:08Why does God say “not for your sakes do I do this”?
Short answer: He says God tells them they are not special, because they are stubborn, blockheaded, stone-hearted people and He keeps working with them. He says this helps explain why God still uses the church and the message, and that God’s ultimate goal is the unbeliever, so we should not get cocky about our blessings.
▶ 15:00 You see, what Peter learned to dislike himself, so he could change himself. So you need to learn to dislike the things that God wants you to change in you. It will move you to change them. Are you hearing me? And God said, “I’ll come and do that,” but you still have to respond. Can I hear an amen? Number 13: “Not for your sakes do I do this.” He says, you think you’re something, I’m not doing this for your sake. Why? ’Cause we’re a stubborn, we’re a blockheaded, stoneheart people, and He just keeps working with us. Is that true? Yeah. He said, don’t get to thinking of yourself too hot. And this is why, this helps you understand why God still uses the church and the message, because a seeker coming in any kind of church looking for Jesus, Jesus is going to show up in spite of the minister, in spite of the elders, in spite of the flock.
▶ 16:14 “Not for this, be ashamed, ashamed.” Why? Because of our heart. Yeah, we don’t seek Him. We, you know, ah, we need to be embarrassed, don’t we? Yeah. He says, “Then the heathen shall know that I build the ruined places and plant the desolate.” He’s after the heathen. He wants to bless you because his ultimate goal is the unbeliever. Gosh, that’s good. So don’t get cocky because your job’s working out and you got health and you got a good [unclear]. Don’t get cocky because, you know, you got some areas in you that need worked over.
Scripture in this part
Ezekiel 36:32 (NKJV)
Not for your sake do I do this,” says the Lord GOD, “let it be known to you. Be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel!”

Then the nations which are left all around you shall know that I, the LORD, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted what was desolate. I, the LORD, have spoken it, and I will do it.”
— Ezekiel 36:36 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:14 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What is the covenant of peace?
Short answer: He says the covenant of peace is the new covenant, and he goes to Numbers 25:12, where God promises an everlasting priesthood. He says priests could enter the holy place and minister to God and to the people, and that Ezekiel 37:26 says it will be an everlasting covenant.
▶ 17:10 [unclear], ain’t that right? Yeah, don’t get cocky. Remember, He’s blessing you so He can reach your neighbor, so He can reach your parents, your brothers and sisters, other people, because when God does good things to people, when the Bible says in Proverbs that when good things happen to you, the people honor you. You see, they think you’re something. So God knows that as human people. Isn’t that beautiful? Hallelujah. Ezekiel 37, verse 26, He talks about the covenant again: “I will make a covenant of peace with them. It shall be an everlasting covenant with them.” That’s the new covenant. There isn’t any more covenants after the new covenant. Amen. So Ezekiel plainly says this is the everlasting covenant, this is the new covenant I’m talking
▶ 18:12 about. This covenant of peace. Most Christians do not understand the covenant of peace, so I’m going to give it to you. Are you ready? You understand this today, you’re a step ahead of most Christians throughout the world. All right, this is the covenant of peace in Numbers 25:12: “I will give unto him My covenant of peace, his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood.” This is God talking. When they came out of Egypt and Israel sinned and the Levites went and killed the people that were sinning, judged them, sentenced them, and God came and says, “Hey, you did the right thing. I’m going to give you My covenant of peace.” And then He explains what the covenant of peace is all
▶ 19:09 about. That you will have an everlasting priesthood. I’m going to make you priests. Priests had the authority to come into the holy place of God, into the very presence of God, and minister to God, and they also had the authority to minister to the people. Did you get that? And God says what in Ezekiel? I’m going to give you My covenant of peace, I’m going to make you priests, you’re going to minister unto Me in the presence of God. Where back there there was fire at night and a pillar of cloud by day, and the voice of God actually spoke from off the ark of the covenant, and the priest with the covenant of peace could go in and talk to God

Therefore say, ‘Behold, I give to him My covenant of peace;
— Numbers 25:12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 18:12Are believers priests who can minister in God’s presence now?
Short answer: He says yes: Revelation 1:6 says God has made us kings and priests, and 1 Peter 2:9 calls us a royal priesthood. He says we become priests who can minister to the very presence of God, and he says this is more than coming to Christ and waiting for the rapture.
▶ 20:08 directly. That’s powerful. And He says, I’m going to do that for you. So is it in the New Testament? Yes, it is. In Revelation 1:6 He said, God has made us kings and priests unto our God. He has made us what? Kings and priests. The covenant of peace, the new covenant, is the covenant of peace. We become priests that can minister to the very presence of God, face to face, like Moses, only He’s not there in a pillar of fire, in a pillar of cloud. Now He’s there in His invisible presence. 1 Peter 2:9, “You are a chosen generation, a special people, a royal priesthood, a kingly priesthood. You are.”

and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
— 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 20:08What does God promise to uproot, plant and rebuild?
Short answer: He says God only tears down to rebuild and only uproots to plant a new heart and a new spirit. He says God removes the stony heart and roots things out of your life, then plants “the goodies” back in, and that the “I will” does it.
▶ 21:04 Hallelujah. So see, us Christians have more than just coming to Christ and waiting for the rapture. We have this promise to grow to a place where we can effectively minister in the presence of Almighty God, and we can effectively minister to the people that come in to find Him. Hallelujah. And in Him is deliverance and everything people need. “I will place them and multiply them and I will set My sanctuary in the midst of them forevermore,” and the heathen shall know. There it is again. Why is He doing it? So the heathen will know that I build the desolate places. Remember, Jeremiah said He’s going to tear down, root out. Well, God says, I’m going to plant, I’m going to rebuild. I only tear down to rebuild. I only uproot to plant a new heart and a new spirit. I get that stony heart out, I root those things out of your life, and then I plant the goodies back in. Wow, that was good.

Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them, and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; I will establish them and multiply them, and I will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore. My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed I will be their God, and they shall be My people. The nations also will know that I, the LORD, sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forevermore.” ’ ”
— Ezekiel 37:26-28 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 21:04 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What should we do to be changed, and do we have to wait for the rapture?
Short answer: He says not to try to do it on our own: “just relax in God,” seek Him, pray, read the word and go to church, and you will find yourself being changed. He gives Revelation 7:9, a great multitude from all nations before the throne, as the result, and says you don’t have to wait for the rapture: if you give God time, He will transform you into a priest who can minister to Him and to people. He says the apostles suffered greatly and did not turn from Jesus, and that if God did it for them, “He will do it for you.”
▶ 22:25 And see, He will do it. Who will do it? The “I will” will do it. We’re trying to do it on our own. Don’t do that. Just relax in God. Seek Him, pray, read the word, go to church, and you will find yourself being changed. You know as well as I do, when you first got saved, you weren’t much of a new creature. You were just a new creature that had great potential. Ain’t that right? There was still some old things in you. Ain’t that right? Yeah. But see, as we seek Him, as we pursue Him, what He changes. Look at the results. Revelation 7:9, a great multitude which no man could number, of how many nations? All nations and kindreds and people and languages, stood before the throne and before the Lamb.
▶ 23:30 Hallelujah, it worked. How many want to be part of that process? You want to be part of that? [unclear]. Yeah. And how many of you know you can have it here on earth? You don’t have to wait for the rapture. You give God time, He will transform you into a priest that can minister unto Him, minister to people, and possess the promises of God. Hallelujah. We already learned that it’s nothing for Him to forgive us, but what you need is what? Deliverance. Absolutely. I just want to remind you that the apostles were stoned, beheaded, persecuted, crucified, tarred and feathered, exiled onto islands, driven out of communities they were in, in danger from bandits and elements,
▶ 24:28 danger from their own countrymen, and yet they did not turn from Jesus. Not one of these apostles backslid. Not one of these apostles had a nervous breakdown and had to have a sabbatical. Not one of these apostles ever ran off with the church secretary or somebody else’s wife. Not one of these apostles got drunk, needed marijuana or anything else. Are you there? You see, God did it. God did it, and He’s not a respecter of persons, is He? If He did it for them, He will do it for you. Hallelujah. ’Cause He said, “I will.” And He can’t lie. “I will, I will, I will.” Just give Him time and apply yourself. All right, Polycarp, who was the disciple of John,
Scripture in this part
Revelation 7:9 (NKJV)
After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands,
— Revelation 7:9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 22:25What does he say about early Christian martyrs such as Polycarp and Perpetua?
Short answer: He tells of Polycarp, aged 86, who said he had served Jesus Christ 86 years, and of Perpetua, a young mother who refused to renounce Christ. He calls this “a powerful story that the new covenant works,” noting she was a new Christian. This passage contains a graphic account of her death.
▶ 25:29 heard the gospel from John, was 86 years old when they were going to burn him at the stake, and his last words were, “86 years I’ve served Jesus Christ and He’s never done me the least wrong. How can I then blaspheme my King and my Savior?” Whoa. Amen. That’s power. Uh, he goes on to say, “We Christians are fixed in our minds not to change from good to evil, but for me it would be good to be changed from evil to good.” Isn’t he describing the Christian life? We’re in a process of being changed from evil to good, and here they’re going to kill him. Now this is the one I really like.
▶ 26:23 Perpetua was a wife and a mother. I can’t find her husband, but they said she was a wife and a mother of a nursing baby. She’s 22 years old, she just accepted Christ, and she’s going through catechism, she’s learning the basic scriptures over there in North Africa. And the governor, the government comes in and arrests them in the Bible study, and they told her if you denounce Christ you will live, and if you don’t you’re going to die. They took her baby from her. And how many, you know, for a woman who’s got a little baby, and the heart that a natural mother has for a baby, would be a big
▶ 27:17 temptation to renounce Christ. And she wouldn’t do it. So they came and took the baby from her. Her father came and tried to put a guilt trip on her: “What are you doing? Your baby needs you. Renounce Christ and live your life and take care of this baby.” She still would not budge. Now, folks, that new covenant is working, and she’s a baby Christian. She’s not been saved very long at all. So they take her to the arena when the governor was going to be there, put him on display. They stripped her naked and beat her before all the
▶ 28:12 people, and she would not give in at all. And then they put her in an area where there was a cow with rabies, a wild cow, and that cow just chased them and gored [unclear], and she’s wounded. And then the gladiators would come over and do the job, but the gladiator, when he came over, he was so taken by this woman standing for Christ, and she took his sword and put it up to her neck, and then the gladiator cut her throat and she died. Now, folks, that’s a powerful story that the new covenant works. Thomas Paine, on the other hand,
What does he say about the deathbed words of well-known unbelievers?
Short answer: After the martyrs, he says “on the other hand” and recounts what he says were the last words of several famous skeptics, who he says cried out in fear of hell. These are the speaker’s own historical accounts, not checked by this site.
▶ 29:05 1809, the leading atheist writer in the American colonies, wrote the pamphlet Common Sense, which really stirred America to fight the Revolutionary War and become independent. On his deathbed, this is his words: “Stay with me, for God’s sake stay with me. I cannot bear to be left alone. Oh Lord, help me. Oh God, what have I done to suffer so much? What will become of me hereafter? I would give worlds, if I had them, that The Age of Reason had never been published.” That’s a book he published that put down Christianity. Now there’s some good things in that book. He brought out the ridiculous things in the church,
▶ 29:59 the things done in the church that we shouldn’t be doing, but he also ridiculed the church, God and Jesus in it. “The Age of Reason had never been published. Oh Lord, help me. Christ, help me.” Look at that word, Christ. He didn’t call on Allah. “No, don’t leave, stay with me. Send even a child to stay with me, for I’m on the edge of hell here alone. If ever the Devil had an agent, I have been that agent.” That’s his deathbed cry after reading The Age of Reason. In 1757 Benjamin Franklin wrote, “I would advise you not to attempt unchaining the tiger, but to burn this piece before it’s seen by any other person, whereby you will save yourself a great deal of mortification from the enemies that may raise up against you, and perhaps a good deal of regret and repentance. If men were so wicked as we now see them with religion, what would they be without it?”
▶ 31:15 Did you catch that? Powerful. David Hume, the famous agnostic atheist, in 1776 when he died, his cry was, “I am in flames, I am in flames.” Voltaire, the famous atheist, wrote that book that everybody reads in college. 1778: “I’m abandoned by God and man. I’ll give you half of what I’m worth if you give me six months of life. I’ll give you half of my wealth.” The doctor replied and said it could not be done. “Then I shall die and go to hell,” Voltaire said. And his nurse said, “For all the money in Europe I don’t want to see another unbeliever die.” All night long he begged for
What does he urge us to do about the new covenant?
Short answer: He urges us to get the new covenant “out of the New Testament and the Old Testament,” pointing to Hebrews 6 and 8, to pray about it, and to remember it is God’s promise to us. He says God will be involved and do it, “divine enablement,” but that we got to put some effort into it.
▶ 32:15 forgiveness, and like Esau, God didn’t show up. Now, folks, I would really beseech you, this new covenant is so important. You need to get it out of the New Testament and the Old Testament. It’s in Hebrews 6 and Hebrews 8 in the New Testament, very plain, very clear. You need to pray about this. This is God’s promise to you, and He said He will be involved. This is the grace of God, that He will be involved and do it, divine enablement, but we got to put some effort into it.

What is the new covenant, according to this message?

Scripture (NKJV)Therefore say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Although I have cast them far off among the Gentiles, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet I shall be a little sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.” ’ Therefore say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “I will gather you from the peoples, assemble you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.” ’ And they will go there, and they will take away all its detestable things and all its abominations from there.

About this transcript
This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added by hand, and obvious caption errors were corrected; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor notes on references: at about 1:07 he gives the reference as “John 10:18” for “one fold and one shepherd”; those words are in John 10:16, so that passage is shown. At about 2:06 the captions read “17:2” for the prayer “Father, make them one”; those words are John 17:21, which is shown. At about 2:06 he says “in Acts one” for “on the day of Pentecost they were in one accord”; that description matches Acts 2:1, which is shown. At about 15:00 he reads Ezekiel 36:32 as “number 13” in his list, and at about 16:14 he reads Ezekiel 36:36 without naming the verse. The historical accounts of martyrs and of deathbed words are the speaker’s own and have not been checked by this site. Where he reads Scripture aloud his wording often differs slightly from the NKJV text shown with each section. Select any time to jump to that moment on YouTube.
