How To Become A Pastor, Minister, or Teacher for Jesus Christ: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
From Mark 3–6 Pastor David G. Kincer lays out Jesus’ processing plan for ministry: follow him, respond to his call, be with him, be taught and shown his authority, and only then be sent to preach repentance. Drawing on his own experience, he explains the problems with personal prophecy and the more excellent way of love, and urges all believers to seek wisdom.
Where does becoming a minister for Jesus start?
Short answer: Everything in God starts with “follow me.” Taking accountability and responsibility to follow Jesus makes you a candidate for important things in the kingdom; no prophecy over you will make you anything if you don’t follow. Jesus said follow me and I will make you fishers of men.
▶ 0:00 Okay we’re going to talk about prophecy we’re going to talk about prophecy from the Bible uh teachings on it and we’re going to be talking about prophecy from my experience being in pentecostal circles spirit fill circles where these things are supposedly used and my experience over these years is that fair enough I’m going to go slow I’m not watching the clock barnes is going to keep time so in 40 minutes we don’t kill you like they did at that conference we’ll give you a chance to stand up stretch them guys would go for an hour and a half and two hours without even giving you a break. So it starts with anything in God starts with this follow me.
▶ 0:58 Okay. Say it with. Me and who is me Jesus you see when you take the accountability and you take the responsibility to respond to Jesus when he comes and actually follow him you are a candidate for very important things in the kingdom you understand that. And if you’re not a follower and you’re not responsible to follow you don’t take accountability and responsibility I don’t care who prophesies over to you you’re never going to be anything in the kingdom do you understand. That. Hallelujah so far you got it all right that’s the initial thing and if you want to attain to anything in the kingdom and and you want to be eventually somewhere down the road placed into the body and some function such as a pastor evangelist prophet teacher.
Scripture in this part
Matthew 4:19 (NKJV)
Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
— Matthew 4:19 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 2:07 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Can a seminary or Bible college make a minister?
Short answer: He says not unless you’re in God’s will and he is molding you there; schools stamp out the same model like a factory without Jesus, and churches don’t mature. A gift of speaking doesn’t mean Christ is in it—without him we can do nothing.
▶ 2:08 Apostle uh you know a giver. Whatever you got to start like everybody else you got to start following Jesus then Jesus said if you follow me I will what make you fishers of men I’ll fashion you I’ll develop you so can I go to a seminary and get this done no not unless I’m in his will and he’s molding me in that seminary and that is why in America college Bible colleges seminaries and all the rest are stamping out like a factory uh you know plant the same model and Jesus isn’t in it and so they they take that model that they want and they place it out there in the churches and the church isn’t growing the church isn’t maturing and the church is not strengthened inside in the inner man and having wisdom and knowledge are you there just because you got the gift of speaking does not mean he’s with you in that.
▶ 3:26 Speaking but he’s such a good speaker so what. If he’s not saying what the Holy Ghost says if he’s not doing it from Christ it’s not going to work we can do nothing without Christ are you with me so far I want to make sure that I’m going slow enough to we get this in us all right so Jesus is going to make us but the requirement is what. Follow him not the catholic church not the protestant church not the muslim you got to follow who him and then when you decide that he puts you in his processing. Plan you are going to go through a processing plan a processing. Factory and if you drop out of that processing plan you’re not going to reach the goal.

John 15:5 (NKJV)
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
— John 15:5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 3:38 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Where does Jesus’ processing plan happen?
Short answer: Mark 3:13: Jesus went up into the mountain. Micah 4:1: the mountain of the Lord’s house is the church, where all nations flow and the word goes forth. The process is in his church, where two or three gather and he is in the midst.
▶ 4:28 Are you with me so far now what is his processing. Plan are you. Interested mark. 3:13 number one Jesus went up into the mountain the mountain in Micah 4:1 is the church and the latter days the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains and all all nations will flow into it for out of that mountain shall come forth the law and the word of the Lord and they shall beat their swords into pruning hooks and their plows into military weapons into non-military. Uses and there won’t be war in the earth and that has never been fulfilled why because God’s people haven’t really understood.
▶ 5:30 Christ processing plan to get from point a to point b there is a process and it’s in his church you can’t get it at home you can’t get it in home Bible. Studies unless that home Bible study is the gathering together of the church do you understand that what God is doing he’s going to do in in his church church the gathering together of his people so we got to go where Jesus. Is if you’re going to follow Jesus you got to go where he’s at and where is he at his church you he’s also up in heaven on the throne but he’s also where in his church where two or three are gathered together there I am in the midst that’s where his presence is in the gathering of his people the church is a powerful vehicle of God and he doesn’t skirt around his church.
Scripture in this part
Mark 3:13 (NKJV)
And He went up on the mountain and called to Him those He Himself wanted. And they came to Him.
— Mark 3:13 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:39Micah 4:1-3 (NKJV)
Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the LORD’s house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And peoples shall flow to it. Many nations shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. He shall judge between many peoples, And rebuke strong nations afar off; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore.
— Micah 4:1-3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:49Matthew 18:20 (NKJV)
For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
— Matthew 18:20 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:20 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Are all believers called to minister?
Short answer: Jesus called whom he would and they came. Everyone is invited (“come unto me”), we are a kingdom of priests, and “you haven’t chosen me but I’ve chosen you” to bear fruit—so don’t say you don’t feel called. Respond with “here I am, use me”; he that hath a responsive heart is given more.
▶ 6:33 Number two Jesus called unto whom he would okay he invited. Okay you answered my call back there to follow me and they dropped their fishing nets and they dropped their tax monies and they got up and they followed Christ I mean they just followed him they took responsibility. Now he calls him again whom he would whom who he so who is the deciding factor here apostles prophets evangelist pastors and teachers or Jesus Christ yeah he’s still the one that’s doing this he came with another call okay and he chose out of those responsible people another call all right another invitation now all of us have been given this invitation Jesus said in Matthew come unto me all ye that are labor and heavy laden and I will give you rest are you with me the Bible says we are a kingdom of priests we are all called to be ministers under God you got that so don’t say well I don’t feel the calling.
▶ 7:58 Huh. You are. Called okay he has chosen you and called you he said that you haven’t chosen me but I’ve chosen you and ordain you that you should bring forth fruit so how many of us are called in the second calling all of us all of us. Amen see because you follow followed him at that salvation call now number three they came to him they responded they didn’t go well I’m not. Worthy I’m just a flea on the dog like David said I’m just not worthy you know look at my life I’m just a puny weeny.
▶ 8:52 Christian they didn’t do that they responded they said okay God if you got something more for me Jesus here I am here I am use me. So again he gave them another call of responsibility and they took that responsibility and responded okay no magical prophecies no magical anything it is just a step by step taking responsibility for what God is saying what for you what he want you to do are we with me so. Far have I lost anybody all right so you got to have a responsive heart Jesus said he that hath more shall be given he that hath not even that which he has will be taken away what is he talking about a responsive heart see he that has a responsive heart I’m going to give him more.
Scripture in this part
Matthew 11:28 (NKJV)
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
— Matthew 11:28 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:36 (quoted; reference not named in the message)John 15:16 (NKJV)
You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.
— John 15:16 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:09 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Matthew 13:12 (NKJV)
For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
— Matthew 13:12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 9:45 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What is the calling to “be with him”?
Short answer: Mark 3:14: he ordained twelve to be with him—spending time with him in the word, prayer and worship to take on his nature. Many want to serve before going through this; they are fruitless because they skip being with him. Jesus asked for one hour a day.
▶ 9:59 They that don’t have a responsive heart they’re going to lose even what they. Had so far got it. Yeah Jesus’s processing. Plan number four he ordained 12 to be with him this word ordained is the same word up here. Make he made 12 out of all those that came he made 12 not 12,000 not 12 million not everybody in the church not everybody that was following but he chose how many 12 and one of them was a thief to be.
▶ 10:54 What with him this calling this second calling is not just to follow him but be with him spend time with him in the word spend time with him in prayer spend time with him that’s why worship is so important it gives us it should give us a chance to spend time with Jesus and take on his nature are you there. See this calling is to be with him a lot of people want to get into the ministry and they haven’t responded to the calling of being with. Him they don’t know how to worship they don’t know how to pray working at the clock oh man w they don’t enjoy spending time with Jesus in prayer in worship and in the word he is the word and when you’re reading the word you’re reading what Jesus says you’re spending time with him wow that’s.
▶ 12:10 Good. Amen does everybody understand so far first we’re called to follow out of our sins and follow him follow him to the cross be forgiven for those. Sins then we’re put in his processing factory and his second calling is hey spend some time with me get to know me not some book author not some great speaker get to know. Me is that. Good yeah why don’t a lot of Christians grow and bring forth fruit because Jesus said I have chosen you and ordained you made you to be. My people and to bring forth.
Scripture in this part
Mark 3:14 (NKJV)
Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach,
— Mark 3:14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 10:20 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Matthew 26:40 (NKJV)
Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What! Could you not watch with Me one hour?
— Matthew 26:40 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 13:04 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Why does Mark say he “might” send them forth?
Short answer: Mark 3:14–15: that he might send them to preach, heal and cast out devils—“might,” because he waits to see if you stand fast in the processing plan. Ministry without it is human beings ministering to human beings. Authority comes from Christ, not titles or yelling.
▶ 13:05 Fruit why are they fruitless they haven’t answered this call to be with him oh they’re ready to be a children’s church worker a children’s church teacher or a youth leader or a musician in the house of God oh they’re ready to get to the end of the processing before they’ve gone through the processing wow that was. Good oh yeah they’re ready for action. Man but they don’t want to take time to be with. Him they don’t want to take time to be in the word that’s. True and they can’t graduate unless they respond to this second call to be with him then he. Says after they do this is that I might that I perhaps that I.
▶ 14:05 Maybe might send them forth to preach to have power to heal the sicknesses and cast out devils. Maybe. Possibly why maybe and possibly because he wants to know if you’re going to stand fast in the processing. Plan and if you don’t rejected as we heard a couple of fridays. Ago they were disqualified why they didn’t follow the processing. Plan I don’t care if people like to hear you speak and sing and play your instrument if you’re not in his processing plan you are. Worthless it’s just human beings ministering to human. Beings instead of Jesus ministering through human beings.
▶ 15:04 Now you know why when I go places I am. Critiquing even to know if they have a problem with people that wear. Suits I want to know if people’s hearts are genuine or do they have a hidden. Motive do they want you to buy their books and get doped into their plan like they’re their only plan there. Is. Okay and when he send them forth he sends them to what. Preach what good is healing the sick and casting out devils if you can’t teach the people how to get saved and stay.
▶ 15:57 Saved. See I come through a I come through an era in in the church world where the emphasis was on the ability of the person to do something for. God and we had a mess on our hands healing was more important than teaching and knowing him. True casting out demons oh you’re a big hero wow. Woo and you can’t teach and you don’t spend time knowing him you’re worthless to the people all they do is get on a hype like drugs and then when that drug wears off they what have a downer I mean a downer.
▶ 16:56 But when you follow follow the processing and spend time with him and follow him and take responsibility. Then he gives you he gives you the ability to teach he gives. You the authority to have power authority so where does authority come. From Jesus Christ you don’t get it because you’re the got a title that you’re the head of the church it doesn’t give you authority Christ gives you. Authority authority comes from God and if he don’t give it to you you ain’t got it I don’t care how much you think you can some people think because they can yell and and and speak strongly man they have authority you don’t got authority unless he gives it to you.
▶ 17:53 Now who are them the ones that followed the ones that took responsibility at the beginning to repent from their sins through the cross get planted in the church and follow Christ that’s. Them the second them is those that responded the second. Time and the third them is those that spend time with. Him all right got. It. How much time do you spend with Jesus how much time do you spend in the word now you know you got to work you got to cook you got to clean house and all that don’t get some weirdo extreme on me but Jesus asked for one hour a day could you not watch with me one hour could you take one hour out of 24 and spend time with me in my word is that extreme 1 hour out of 24 no.
Scripture in this part
Mark 3:15 (NKJV)
and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons:
— Mark 3:15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:10 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What happened between the calling and the sending?
Short answer: Mark waits three chapters. In Mark 4 Jesus taught them many things—the whole counsel of God—in parables and his doctrine. He showed them authority: calming the sea instantly, casting out Legion, healing the woman with the issue of blood, and raising a twelve-year-old. Healing the sick is for today.
▶ 19:00 Is the results worth it. Yeah yeah people need the real deal out there church they need the church have an authority to cast out devils and recognize devils and to preach the gospel that convicts people of sin to change their life and to heal the sick that’s part of the package healing the sick is for today don’t let these people tell you that oh well it’s not in God’s dispensation it’s always in God’s dispensation he cares for his people he cares for their physical their spiritual their mental and their emotional condition our God is a caring God and he has authority but he to do these things but he has chosen the church as his vessel. Now the shocking thing is you read all this in the other epistles uh gospels I’m sorry and they didn’t follow mark’s timeline you you wonder why he he give his four gospels so that through all four we get the clear.
▶ 20:12 Picture mark hits this very clearly they weren’t sent out. Immediately he might perhaps send them forth he. Waited three chapters before he sent them out. Out and I know you didn’t notice that in your reading because you’re just read read so he can say I got through the Bible in. Year and that’s okay you just keep doing that you keep doing that that’s there’s nothing wrong with that but you need to take time to say God open my understanding could that be true now look at this he didn’t send them out to Mark 6 what happened between Mark 3 and Mark 6 it’s his processing plan say it processing plan yeah between the calling and the sending is the processing.
▶ 21:12 Factory Mark 4:2 he taught them many things he didn’t send them out there ignorant the first thing he did is he taught them how much many things not just salvation. And grace and faith he taught them many things as Paul said I have not ceased to declare to you the whole counsel of God how many know that’s what Jesus did with them he taught them how many you know that’s what we need we need taught by Jesus himself you can call it the Holy Ghost you can call it Jesus you can call it the living word but that is the real teacher I am only a vessel speaking the word he is the one that can put his his hand on you and birth that word in. You so I am nothing he is.
▶ 22:10 Everything and he spoke to them in parables and that’s the kingdom of God and said unto them in his doctrine whose doctrine his doctrine who we come up you know these people don’t have a right to give us their doctrine we only have a right to teach the apostles doctrine and his doctrine number two he showed them the authority he said I want to give you authority and then he showed them the authority he calmed the stormy sea how many you know that takes authority I mean and this thing did not. Take seven days to calm. Or 1 million years to calm when he said calm that see what calm just like that when he said let there be light there was light when he said let the earth bring forth the plants and every living creature what happened bam no million year nonsense billion year nonsense bam he’s.
Scripture in this part
Mark 4:2 (NKJV)
Then He taught them many things by parables, and said to them in His teaching:
— Mark 4:2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 21:13Acts 20:27 (NKJV)
For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.
— Acts 20:27 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 21:12 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Mark 4:39 (NKJV)
Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
— Mark 4:39 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 22:47 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Should a minister expect rejection?
Short answer: Jesus was rejected in his own country—a prophet is not without honor except among his own—and did few miracles there. Enemies may be in your own household; as many will reject you as accept you for preaching Christ, and you can measure your closeness to God by the opposition.
▶ 23:26 God no evolution no mutation. Bam. Amen he cast out many devils out of Legion he healed a woman with the issue of blood the doctors couldn’t do anything she was going to die men had reached their limit and Jesus healed her men couldn’t calm a stormy sea Jesus Jesus could men cannot identify and cast out demon Jesus could he had the authority and he had the perception he was rejected by his own countrymen he went into where he grew up and they go oh that’s. Jesus a prophet’s not without honor but in his own family his own countrymen people that know well that’s Dave Kincer you know over in africa.
▶ 24:28 My name is. Amazing they got my tapes they I mean you know they treat me like they treat big preachers over here in America I’m nothing in my own family I’m nothing and that’s fine my own family don’t need to be that’s that’s that would stink if your family oh dad is so or my husband or that how manyan know that just stinks that smells wrong huh so there’s nothing wrong on one issue of not being honored by those around you but it is wrong when they cut off the source of the power of God. Amen and he could only do a few miracles now it wasn’t that he could only do a few miracles he chose not to do the miracles because Jesus can do anything the father says to do he didn’t need those people believing in him you understand that if the father said go into your country and you do this and that Jesus would have went and did it where they believed it or not.
▶ 25:38 But he wants to teach a principle and so this you so we got to learn what people are going to reject you if you think everybody’s going to love you how many you know the Bible says that the enemies will be those of your own household you see you know they they they know some little flaw you got got you don’t quite talk right or your attitude isn’t the best all the time and you’re just a funny. Christian people can reject you people can reject this message of Christ and believe me you’re going to have just as many people rejecting you as accepting you for preaching the gospel of Christ you understand that if you’re looking for an easy road in this end result of the processing plan forget it people are going to be after you are you there and you can measure your closeness to God by the opposition.
Scripture in this part
Mark 6:4-5 (NKJV)
But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house.” Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them.
— Mark 6:4-5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 24:18 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Matthew 10:36 (NKJV)
and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’
— Matthew 10:36 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 25:51 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What message were the twelve sent to preach?
Short answer: Mark 6:7–12: he sent them two by two with power over unclean spirits, and they preached that men should repent. He says grace-and-faith icing on a spoiled cake does no good; God backs the message of repent and confess. If the church wants power, it must preach repentance.
▶ 26:39 He raised a 12-year-old from the dead 12-year-old. Kid all right of a of a important. Man wasn’t a seeker of God like Cornelius and fasting and praying and just come and said hey is there anything you do for my child and Jesus healed that noble man’s. Child now after making them showing them authority teaching them he sends them with authority to preach heal and cast out devils Mark 6:7 he called unto him the 12 again here’s the third. Calling now this time he’s sending them. Follow. Me be with.
▶ 27:34 Me. Okay come to me and he began to send them forth two by two and gave them power over unclean. Spirits they went out and preached that men should what repent what is our major message. Folks. Repent not grace and faith repent grace and faith doesn’t do anybody any good if you don’t change your life if they don’t change the way you talk they don’t change the way you walk they don’t change the way you treat people get rid of this grace and faith cake coating that’s hiding a spoiled cake inside it’s got worms but the icing looks. Good.
▶ 28:29 And if the church wants power what message have they got to start. Preaching. Hello he backed up the message of repentance not the message of a 12 step program to recover out of alcohol or divorce he backed up with authority the message of repent confess your sins God is faithful to cleanse and forgive you your sins but you got to repent you got to turn from those sins and if you don’t teach that there’s no authority going to be in the church is that. Good so a church every one of us has a responsibility if we want a New Testament church we all got to take responsibility to get into his processing factory.
Scripture in this part
Mark 6:7 (NKJV)
And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits.
— Mark 6:7 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 27:15Mark 6:12 (NKJV)
So they went out and preached that people should repent.
— Mark 6:12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 27:50 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Who does the work in ministry?
Short answer: Jesus did the calling, making and teaching, then worked through them. God grants miracles in one place and not another on his schedule. Hebrews 5:4: no one takes this honor himself but is called by God, as Aaron was; hanging around prophets doesn’t make you one, and being the best parent or worker is not second class.
▶ 29:28 And get made to be the person in his body he wants us to be and you don’t need a prophet telling you. That amen. Amen all. Right the Bible tells you that remember Paul did miracles in some cities other cities he went to no miracles why because God didn’t grant it and this is what the church can’t stand that God may grant something one place and at one time and not grant it another it’s his business it’s his schedule it’s his purpose and we just need to what stick with. Him we got to be just as committed to God when he’s not doing anything as when he.
▶ 30:25 Is now the important thing is you should have learned that who did it all Jesus he did the calling he did the making he did the teaching he did it all folks that’s why it’s so important from the time we enter that door that our focus is on Jesus Christ because he’s the one that’s going to do it. All. Hallelujah he did it all with them and then he did it through them. When I was in africa just while I was preaching people would get healed believe me it had nothing to do with me I doubted it when I saw what was happening I challenged it I went down there I you know me I got me in question I want to get to the bottom of this and the bottom line is during that service whether it was the worship part or the word part God came and you got 2 3 5,000 10,000 people out there and God just come you can’t have a line for 10,000.
▶ 31:29 People and he just come and touch people and they had been taught by that church because of the structure God had to come forward at the end and let them know what God did and so man you had tremendous healings going on. Salvations and uh uh healing of the mind healing the em just just God doing it are you there. There see he’s God he can do it through us without the dramatics as they spent time with him and were taught by him that is important he did it Hebrews 5:4 no man takes this honor to himself but he who is called by God just as Aaron was you can’t decide if you’re going to be a prophet you can’t decide if you’re going to be a pastor or a teacher an evangelist you can’t decide that God places in the body as he sees fit you can’t be around prophets like I heard yesterday and turn into a prophet.
▶ 32:41 Am I right what they said. Yeah that means that everybody that hung around the apostles became apostles and we only had what 12 initially hanging around doesn’t make you like. Them you don’t. Want to think of yourself more highly than you ought you just want to be a follower and spend time with him and let him bring to pass his will in your life and there’s nothing wrong with being the best mother the best dad the best worker the best provider if that’s all God has called you to to be a light to the world with your behavior with your way you speak there’s. Nothing. Uh uh second class about that why because that’s what he’s doing in your life.
Scripture in this part
Hebrews 5:4 (NKJV)
And no man takes this honor to himself, but he who is called by God, just as Aaron was.
— Hebrews 5:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 32:14What three things were the apostles given?
Short answer: Authority, after being taught and being with Jesus; understanding of the scriptures, opened by Jesus (Luke 24:45)—so ask him to open yours and write down what he teaches; and the Holy Ghost in Acts 2. He says they had authority before being filled, contrary to Pentecostal teaching, and then were unstoppable.
▶ 33:39 I knew a woman that won multitudes to Christ with a cake she would bake a cake and take it to a neighborhood home. Really and then talk to them about Jesus she wasn’t a preacher she wasn’t an apostle wasn’t a prophet but man a cake. Ministry. Really see we are the followers we are the responders. Okay the apostles were given three things how many things three things they were what given they didn’t grab them they didn’t get it at seminary in Bible college they didn’t get through a prophecy they were given it by who Jesus Christ they were given authority after they were taught after they observed his authority and after being with Jesus they were then they were given authority they weren’t given authority when they were first called apostles the title doesn’t mean you got.
▶ 34:53 Beans you got it you don’t have this thing until he gives it to. You oh man he called me an apostle hallelujah yeah well Mark 4 five and is coming up. Here don’t get so. Cocky are you. There secondly he opened their understanding to the scriptures to understand the scriptures and who did it Jesus did it Luke. 24:45 you see you got to say Jesus open when you’re reading your Bible through every year and and and and seeking it say Jesus open my understanding how many want your open your understanding open to the yeah that’s what you got to go to the scriptures for Lord what are you going to teach me.
▶ 35:50 Today and when he does for goodness sake write it down cuz you will forget it tomorrow that’s what I found out I found found out that these spiritual tongue talkers and all that they were way above me man I had to I found out I couldn’t remember all that stuff and I had to start putting notes in my Bible and writing things down and and putting notes in my Bible that some people think oh that’s sacrilegious writing in your Bible nuts and it’s just a book with a living word in it and I need every help I can get. Amen yeah when he taught me something I wrote it down and my old Bible had all all these notes in it where God came and revealed things to me and then I could go back when I needed to to share with someone I could go back in my Bible and see it and share it like I had memorized. It and then they were filled with the Holy Ghost in acts chapter.
▶ 36:48 2 you see they had authority before they were filled with the Holy Ghost and that is contrary to pentecostal teaching. You shall receive power after the Holy Ghost will come on you they’re saying you can’t have authority before it and you. Can you see you can have the scriptures opened up to you before being filled with the Holy Ghost if that’s what Jesus decides to do his basic plan is the spirit comes and reveals the word to you that’s his basic. Plan. Amen. Then they were unable unstoppable and unchangeable you never read about them running off with their secretary running off with the church’s money having a nervous breakdown getting into depression oh you never hear it why they passed the processing.
Scripture in this part
Luke 24:45 (NKJV)
And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.
— Luke 24:45 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 35:26Acts 1:8 (NKJV)
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
— Acts 1:8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 36:57 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Why is worship essential?
Short answer: Revelation 19:10: worship God; the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Hebrews 13:15: offer the sacrifice of praise continually. Refusing to worship hinders God’s making process and stops the river of life. In 1 Corinthians 14 an unbeliever falls down saying God is in you.
▶ 37:47 Plan and nothing could move them nothing could sway. Them and God is not a respector of persons is he we can all we may not wind up being apostles we may not wind up being prophets but we can wind up being people that’s unstoppable unmovable and unchangeable in our walk with. God now I thought that was hot. Stuff you’re looking at me like that’s just. Leftovers. Ah Revelations. 1910 worship God do you know how many people I know that give me an excuse for not worshiping.
▶ 38:43 God what’s Revelation. Say worship God what does Hebrews say offer the sacrifice of praise continually that is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name what does the Psalm say praise ye the Lord over and over and over and over and over praise ye the Lord praise ye the Lord praise ye the Lord ain that right and they give me a thousand reasons why they can’t worship and praise the Lord but see that hinders that’s a trick of the enemy that hinders the making process of God and it stays the flow of the river of life in the church because out of innermost beings these rivers of life flow so when you got people that won’t. Respond you have a source of the river that’s.
▶ 39:40 Lacking amen worship seems so simple and I’m not talking about the way the catholic church worships ritualistic I’m talking about worshiping him in spirit and in truth yes spirit and in truth you do it the Bible way you you do it from the spirit you get the spirit connected and it. Works and everyone should be coming through that door to do that worship God for the testimony of Jesus the witness of Jesus the proof of Jesus is what the spirit of prophecy are we supposed to have the spirit of prophecy operating in the church yeah the proof of Christ in 1 Corinthians 14 why did the man fall on his face worship God and say God is really in your midst. Because as they worshiped and prayed and sought God his presence came and they spoke the inspirational word and God.
Scripture in this part
Revelation 19:10 (NKJV)
And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
— Revelation 19:10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 37:47Hebrews 13:15 (NKJV)
Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
— Hebrews 13:15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 38:51 (quoted; reference not named in the message)1 Corinthians 14:24-25 (NKJV)
But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or an uninformed person comes in, he is convinced by all, he is convicted by all. And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed; and so, falling down on his face, he will worship God and report that God is truly among you.
— 1 Corinthians 14:24-25 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 40:28 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Is everyone a prophet or apostle?
Short answer: Jeremiah 14:14: prophets prophesy lies in my name. 1 Corinthians 12:29: are all apostles, all prophets? The office of a prophet like Agabus is rare and does not miss. He says Antioch was started by ordinary believers, so God backs us preaching the gospel too.
▶ 40:43 Convinced that guy converted that guy convicted that guy and he said God is in you the truth it doesn’t say that he went out and served God did you notice that. Yes it says he says man you guys got something here you ever heard that statement see they don’t want it but you guys got something here oh I’ve heard it many times there’s something here you see uh all right Jeremiah 14:14 the prophets prophesy lies in my name false visions deceit and I sent them not first Corinthians 12:29 are all apostles. What’s he saying not everybody’s an apostle are all prophets what’s he saying not everybody’s a prophet God only had at one time one to three prophets you read your Bible.
▶ 41:41 One to three prophets from Genesis to Malachi and in the New Testament John the baptist was a prophet then Jesus what came and confirmed his prophecy. The office of a prophet’s very rare like Agabus who could prophesy the famine coming and it happened and the church could prepare to send relief to these people that went through it see that’s rare that’s the office of a prophet and they cannot miss they do not miss if they do the Bible says they are a false prophet. Now prophecy of placing people into the body I believe myself you can’t miss because God places into the body as he sees fit and if we’re only getting 80% right there’s something.
▶ 42:42 Wrong I mean God’s only 80% right I I have a real problem with that and I doubt it’s 80% cuz they just ramble on and say a lot of words and in multitudes of word there is. Sin. Violations a wise man spareth his words more you talk better chance you got or bringing in your own. Opinion there was only 12 to start with and then 15 apostles they say there was a lot more but they are assuming that the people that followed the apostles became apostles and I said listen you this is my private talk I said you can’t do that if it doesn’t say they were an apostle you can’t add to that word and say well you know they are if the Bible doesn’t declare it we don’t what declare it so we had Barnabas and a couple of other apostles that were raised up.
▶ 43:50 Paul but folks it wasn’t a multitude and let me ask you this who started the church at Antioch where Paul was sent out. From what apostle started that what prophet started that what teacher started that what evangelist started. That. None it was started by the believers who ran from the persecution in Jerusalem and shared the gospel in Antioch and people got saved and the church the apostles found a church in Antioch that was established by. Believers believers. Followers then the apostle could come and give that the structure and the teaching they needed to be a strong church see we are important in this thing we can’t wait for the mighty men quote unquote of God we can go out and God will back up us also preaching the gospel could that be an amen.
▶ 44:56 You’re powerful. Church just because you’re here you have a tremendous. Destiny if you respond to his processing. Plan all teachers all workers of miracles gifts of healings do all speak with tongues again here’s where the pentecostals really missed it h if you don’t speak with tongues you don’t have the Holy Ghost well you can prophesy you can praise God you can speak when that comes there is an utterance but it have doesn’t have to be an earthly language or a heavenly. Language cuz he says all don’t speak in tongues and all don’t. Interpret all right I grew up in pentecostal churches I had to I had to work through these things you know you want to believe what you’re taught but when it isn’t working you got to go to the book and find out truth don’t you and then you got to change is there anything wrong with tongues no it is Bible and it’s a sign for the unbeliever but can we take any of these things out of its context and be extreme with.
Scripture in this part
Jeremiah 14:14 (NKJV)
And the LORD said to me, “The prophets prophesy lies in My name. I have not sent them, commanded them, nor spoken to them; they prophesy to you a false vision, divination, a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart.
— Jeremiah 14:14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 41:151 Corinthians 12:29-31 (NKJV)
Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.
— 1 Corinthians 12:29-31 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 40:43Acts 11:19-21 (NKJV)
Now those who were scattered after the persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to no one but the Jews only. But some of them were men from Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they had come to Antioch, spoke to the Hellenists, preaching the Lord Jesus. And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord.
— Acts 11:19-21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 43:56 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What problems has he seen with personal prophecy?
Short answer: From his experience: it makes the speaker look special, publicly exposes the receiver’s lack or failure until people leave, makes others think they can’t act without a prophecy, and makes the prophet seem to miss when the receiver didn’t respond. He shares learning this the hard way.
▶ 46:04 Them we can and we. Do we. Do if he isn’t doing it you don’t have anything but earnestly desire the best gifts and I’ll show you a more excellent way and that’s what I was sharing with them in the car [unclear] so you used to prophesy over people he has to bring up the past I said yes I did but I found a more excellent. Way and then they want to know what’s the more excellent way what’s the more ex prophecy does four things I’m talking from my experience and the Bible personal prophecy does four things what am I talking. About personal prophecy that’s when I go to an individual one onone whether it’s in the church or outside the church and I got a word from God for.
▶ 47:05 You that’s called personal prophecy the Bible tells us these things should be done in the church number one now personal prophecy I found does these things is why I changed and went to a more excellent way it makes the speaker appear to be someone. Special spiritually. Advanced above the rest of the sheep oh man they really got something how many many know that stinks you should know that stinks we are not to worship men and any ministry we are to worship Jesus and like like many times seasoned Christians had come up to me and said this thank you for letting God use you I go wow that sums it up you don’t have go w what a great man of God oh what a great message oh what a listen you ain’t got a great message unless he gives it to you so why you giving credit to that.
▶ 48:12 Guy thank you for letting God use you I like that amen is that a good statement that guy don’t get any credit or we have to give credit to the donkey that spoke to Balaam. Secondly publicly gives the impression that the receiver of the prophecy is someone. Special. Oh brother thompson got a word from God he’s really special. Or they exposed some lack in his life and everybody knows it. Is it if you get into the word if you seek me that’s implication you are what not in the word and not seeking.
▶ 49:08 Him if you love your wife what’s the implication he’s not he’s got to buck up you know he’s lacking something here and everybody gets to hear. It. Thirdly oh going back to number two if these people who are personally prophesied. Over do not respond to the prophecy and change from what they lack everybody knows their failure everybody know oh man they’re a failure they didn’t listen to God they didn’t listen to the prophet and the bottom line as time goes by these people get ashamed and leave.
▶ 50:09 Are you hearing me this is what happens with personal prophecies really looks spiritual but I found there were problems in it number three it applies to others that they can do. Anything they can’t do anything rather until they get a personal. Prophecy when they got the Bible the your word of prophecy number four if the person fails to respond to the prophecy it seems the prophet missed when in reality the receiver failed to. Respond I gave two messages over in china both of them I knew were a word for that church the first church only two people in that congregation heard it because their minds were programmed so strongly in a different way they would not even let the word of God come to them but two people did I went to the second church the whole church.
▶ 51:15 Responded am I right yeah. Yeah why because they had an openness to hear from God and his word and respond basically the whole church responded while I was preaching they were weeping everywhere. Profusely and then when the call was given the whole church came. Up. Amen see we can we can shut off God it wasn’t that the message in the first church was wrong it’s they didn’t want it they can reject it and it looks like the prophet and so. I made my first mistake as a prophet they brought up a guy and he wants to move up north california and they want the prophets to prophesy over him and so they brought me up and they brought another prophet up and three of us there and the first prophet oh go God is with you God’s going to bless.
▶ 52:20 You and then it came my turn and I said don’t go you’re going to fail it’s not going to work out and if you do go you’re going to have to come. Back. Man daggers in the church two different words so a couple days goes by and the guy come to him I’m going to take the prophecy of the other guy and I appreciate your prophecy but I’m going to take his prophecy I said it doesn’t matter to me it’s your life you can do what you want he went up 2 months later back in the church why it. Failed how many you know you’re know by the result not the enthusiastic enthusiasm of the prophecy amen so I immediately learned this happened very quick in my young life and so I immediately had to take this to Christ and go something’s wrong here something’s wrong so I started I became very cautious in prophesying even though I kept doing it for a while all right then God gave me a prophecy that the pastor of the church is going to be a pastor of pastors what he was saying is people are going to develop and become Christian leaders not the church pastors from the community are going to come and ask him for advice and so my prophecy wasn’t.
Scripture in this part
1 Corinthians 12:31 (NKJV)
But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.
— 1 Corinthians 12:31 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 46:20 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What is the more excellent way?
Short answer: He now prophesies to the whole congregation and lets the Spirit direct it, speaks by prophecy within his message, or gives a scriptural illustration privately. The more excellent way is love (1 Corinthians 13). All can prophesy for edification, exhortation and comfort.
▶ 53:47 Clear and then I was branded as a false prophet because I didn’t make my prophecy very very clear so I learned. Again best to shut up until you can speak it. Right are you there all right so this is what I. Learned I learn to stop. Prophesying to individuals I can prophesy to individuals during the service prophesying to the whole congregation and just allow the Holy Ghost to come and direct it to that person and everybody receives edification but that person knew something in that prophecy that hit them. Directly and then there’s no.
▶ 54:40 Theatrics there’s. No. Misunderstandings and so forth the second thing I knew I learn is during my message I could speak by prophecy and I do this a lot overseas. During my message I can speak by prophecy Paul said you can speak by prophecy Revelation doctrine and knowledge all. Right and I could just put it right in my message short directed to that person and just keep. Preaching thirdly I found I could just go to the person after service and just give them a scriptural illustration without not even letting them think it is a word for them which it was a word for them an illustration and so forth and then they could get it without anybody knowing what was going on whether they failed or not or rejected it or not and it.
▶ 55:44 Work all right that’s what I. Learned okay God called us to a more excellent way it says in 1 Corinthians 12. And 1 Corinthians 13 that way is love you know we don’t want to do anything to embarrass people we don’t want to be anything to exalt people we just want to be people are you with me church. Hallelujah unlimited abilities all can pray all can sing in the spirit to bring the presence of God who will convict people God that God is in our midst okay in acts two they spoke the mighty works of God when the presence came in Acts 4 they spoke the word of God with confidence the end result is the word being spoken in in epes in Ephesus the Ephesians over in Acts 19 they they they prophesied they spoke the word of God by the inspiration of the spirit we can all prophesy one by one in this dimension of edification exhortation and comfort you cannot be a prophet of an office of a prophet like John the baptist and you may not be a prophet that can identify and place people in the body of Christ with confirmation but you can edify.
Scripture in this part
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 (NKJV)
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
— 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 57:04 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What can every believer have?
Short answer: James 1:5: if any lack wisdom, ask God, who gives to all liberally. Matthew 23:34: he sends prophets, wise men and scribes—some persecuted for the repentance message. Everyone who loves is born of God; the greatest is love; wisdom is the principal thing. Things must be fulfilled before he comes, so the church should push in, not hide.
▶ 57:05 Exhort encourage the people of God every one of us and the excellent way is first love him who is love God is love we need to spend time with him that’s why you got to spend time with him and he says if I speak in tongues and if I have faith to move mountains and I have all knowledge and I give my body to be burned and all my goods to feed the poor if I don’t have love it profits me nothing I am worthless I’m just going through motions and so love is the high calling of God being with him taking on his nature James 1: 15 if any of you lacks wisdom let him ask of God who gives to how many how many. All see he didn’t say do all have.
▶ 57:58 Wisdom do all have love he said are all apostles are all prophets or all evangelists or all teachers no but we can all what have. Wisdom and we could use a big dose of wisdom the church in this last days is supposed to be a revival of wisdom Matthew 23:34 I send to you prophets wise men and scribes and how do you know that he sent them some you will kill and crucify man who wants that. Ministry some you shall scourge in your synagogues where in the church the church is going to attack. You and they’re going to persecute you see when he sends you with that repentant. Message that is what causes the attacks if people don’t want to repent they’re going to.
▶ 58:58 Attack and get ready for the attack cuz it’ll come we’re on the radio now tell telling people to repent we’re telling conservatives to repent humanists to repent atheist to repent look out the guns are going to be flying are we ready for it oh h ho hum. How many ministers do you know that are being killed and persecuted. Yeah yeah what’s the problem here he isn’t sending us with his message cu if he did a lot of people don’t want it but it’s going to. Come and this is the last day message this hasn’t had to be have you ever has God raised up wise men yet we we’ve seen prophets [unclear] we really saw teachers in the early 60s late 50s people that could really teach the Bible oh how how refreshing that was instead of just up there talking about their great faith and uh going through all these motions they could actually open the Bible up to you but we haven’t seen the wise men yet how many of you women would love to see a wise husband in your home.
▶ 1:00:21 Yeah come on how many of you men would like to see a wise wife you see this thing works this thing works on the local level how many of you parents want your kids to have be have wisdom yeah I don’t want my kids run around like a dumbbells and he gives it how much liberally but we don’t spend time asking for it it took years of praying for wisdom before God started cracking the door open. Literally yeah I didn’t let him I a give it I didn’t let him have any slack every prayer where’s that wisdom you. Said and I was asking for the wisdom of Solomon and I found out his wisdom was selective so then I began to ask for the wisdom of Christ hallelujah I got a little.
▶ 1:01:19 Smarter all can possess and develop. Love everyone that loves is born of God and knows God it doesn’t say everyone that prophesies is born of God and knows God it says everyone that can we all love church can we all love absolutely is there anything wrong with being a strong member of the church that worships him prays to him and lives for him and letting that presence of God flow out of us into a streams that come together together to bring results through certain ministries is there anything wrong with that.
▶ 1:02:05 No the greatest of faith and hope is what love faith hope and love the greatest the number one is what love wisdom is the principal thing the first rank in things and all you’re getting get wisdom get understanding and get knowledge for of knowledge my people are destroyed so I submit to you today if you want to become the best you can be in God and attain to the goal that he has for you number one you’ve already chosen to follow him from your sins am I right everyone here secondly you got to choose to spend time with him in his word to where his nature rubs off on you. Now you know you can’t spend time around somebody unless they rub off a little of themsel on you that’s why we worship and pray to get his character rubbing off on us see we are all changed into his image his image.
▶ 1:03:20 Hallelujah wisdom is important and it’s prophesied to be a visitation of the last day and we haven’t seen that yet and I challenge the pre-tribulation rapture people the mid-tribulation rapture people the post-tribulation rapture people the premillennial the a millennial the post millennial that there are things that have to be fulfilled before he’s coming so don’t tell me he’s coming. Now and get the church hiding behind a return wanting to get out of this instead of the church pushing in to be a force in the earth to bring peace on the earth. Hallelujah I don’t believe God’s giving up on America just because you’re here this.
▶ 1:04:18 Morning he’s got some faithful people in America that he loves. And he can change America back again that’s what I see in my Bible he’s bigger than America he’s bigger than obama the democrats the republicans he’s bigger but we’ve got to go through his processing machine and if you’re willing to say God I’ll take your processing machine I don’t like it I don’t like the design of this but I see it’s the only avenue to be what you’ve called me to be would you stand with me.

About this transcript
This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added from the speaker’s pauses and then corrected by hand, and obvious caption errors (names, Bible references) were fixed; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor notes: Delivered as a teaching session (he mentions a timekeeper); speaker is Pastor Kincer (he refers to himself as Dave Kincer). Two phrases not clear (44:20, 59:30). He cites “James 1:15” for asking wisdom (James 1:5) and calls Jairus’s daughter a “noble man’s child.” His Micah 4 paraphrase is garbled (swords into pruning hooks). Personal anecdotes (Africa crowds healed, China churches, a failed personal prophecy) are his own. Sensitive content kept as spoken: seminaries as factories, Pentecostal teaching on tongues and authority, Catholic ritual worship, evolution, Obama/Democrats/Republicans.
