Pastor David G. Kincer walks through the first Holy Spirit events of the New Testament—John filled from the womb, Mary, Elizabeth, Zacharias, Simeon and Anna, and Jesus baptized in the Spirit and led into testing. He explains blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, teaches that Christ’s blood can cleanse even it (Paul in 1 Timothy 1:13), and what Hebrews 6 falling away really means.

What does John the Baptist teach about waiting on the Spirit?

▶ Watch this part (0:00)

Short answer: Luke 1:15: John would be filled with the Holy Spirit from his mother’s womb, yet thirty years passed before he ministered. You can’t manufacture a move of the Holy Spirit; respond when he moves, and if it takes days or years, hang in there.

▶ 0:00 So in this third section we’re going to take a look at the first four usages. Of the Holy Spirit four events and we start with the first one in Luke 1:15 John shall be filled John the baptist shall be filled there’s that verb again with the Holy Spirit from his mother’s womb now from the mother’s womb till when he began to preach there were 30 years that went by before he ever ministered before he ever fulfilled God’s goal for him and remember there were 400 silent years between the Old Testament prophets and the New Testament we have no record of God doing and saying anything for 400 years remember Solomon had a visitation of God and then he didn’t have another one for 13 years Moses when he went up to the mountain when he first got there he had to wait 7 days before God came and began to speak to him there’s nothing wrong with waiting on the Lord to move you can’t you can’t manufacture a move of the Holy Spirit you’ve got to respond when he moves and if it takes 7 days or 10 days or 30 years or whatever just hang in there be filled with the Holy Spirit now speaking of John

Luke 1:15 (NKJV)

Who is least and who is greatest in the kingdom?

▶ Watch this part (1:31)

Short answer: John did no miracle, yet none was greater, and the least in the kingdom is greater than he. Matthew 5:19: whoever breaks the least commandments—the baby doctrines of Hebrews 6 like repentance, baptisms and laying on of hands—and teaches others to break them is least. The greatest do and teach righteousness.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:31 and the Bible says that John did no miracle John did not speak in tongues John was never slain in the spirit John did no miracle but the Bible. Says that there was no greater prophet than John the baptist in other words he was equal to Isaiah Jeremiah Ezekiel amos Daniel David Adam all these prophets Moses John the baptist was equal to just as great even though there were no miracles done through his ministry but the most important thing here is Jesus goes on and says the least in the kingdom of God is greater than John the baptist wow the least so who are the least in the kingdom of God Matthew 5:19 tells us he that breaks the word the least of the commandments of God and teaches of other people to break them is the least in the kingdom.

▶ 2:35 And the least in the kingdom is greater than John the baptist because they’re in the kingdom of God and the kingdom of God come to us through Jesus Christ but he also said they that do the greatest. Commandments and teach the greatest commandments and is servant of all is the greatest in the kingdom so the least commandments are the baby doctrines in Hebrews 6. Repentance from dead works faith toward God baptisms of water baptisms of the Holy Spirit baptism of the body of Christ laying on of hands resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment which is the second coming what’s going to happen at the second coming so the second coming laying on of hands praying for the sick praying for each other uh water baptism Holy Spirit baptism being placed into the body of Christ faith and repentance are baby things and the least in the kingdom don’t even do those and they teach other people you don’t need to get water baptized you don’t need to get baptized in the Holy Ghost Holy Ghost is not for today miracles are not for today that is the least in the kingdom how many don’t want to be the least in the kingdom yeah they not only disbelieve God’s word but they teach others but the greatest is the mature ones and

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 5:19 (NKJV)

Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Scripture (NKJV)

Hebrews 6:1-2 (NKJV)

Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

What does the Holy Ghost coming on Mary show?

▶ Watch this part (4:06)

Short answer: The angel told Mary the Holy Ghost would come upon her and the power of the Highest overshadow her (Luke 1:35)—the Holy Ghost is the power of God. Galatians 4:19: God wants Christ formed in us spiritually. Don’t knock babies in the church, and look to Jesus the author and finisher of your faith.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 4:06 maturity is righteousness it says just in Hebrews 5 just before this this verses and so the greatest in the kingdom teaches righteousness and does it and so John teaches us tremendous truths the next account of the Holy Spirit is Mary the Holy Ghost told Mary I mean the angel told Mary that the Holy Ghost shall come upon you the power of the highest shall overshadow you and that which is conceived in you is of the Holy Ghost and so the power of the highest God the power of God.

▶ 4:53 Is the Holy. Ghost the Holy Ghost is the power God the Holy Spirit is that part of God that is working on earth with mankind to make him successful spiritually naturally and in their family it is a thing that works with us now Galatians 4:19 says Christ be formed in you just like Christ was formed in Mary in the natural God wants to form Christ in us in the spiritual and make us the greatest in the kingdom not the least and so yes the church has babies and the early church had babies and they sinned and they had their problems but also in the church there is righteous people disciplined people mature people and those babies.

What happened to Elizabeth and Zacharias?

▶ Watch this part (5:46)

Short answer: When Mary greeted Elizabeth, the baby leaped for joy and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Ghost, prophesied things not yet revealed. Zacharias, whose barren wife bore John in old age, was filled with the Holy Ghost and prophesied. Sons and daughters prophesy, so God uses women in the church while keeping structure in the home.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 5:46 As three years or so goes by can be mature themselves so don’t knock the babies but don’t knock the church because we have babies in there that don’t obey God’s word and teach wrong look to Jesus the author and the finisher of your faith the third account is Mary went down to visit. Elizabeth who was pregnant now 6 months with John the baptist and remember the angel said he’s going to be filled with the Holy Ghost from his mother’s womb okay when Mary came in and said hi to Elizabeth the Holy Ghost came upon Mary and the baby leaped in her womb for what joy 6 months old leaping in the womb for joy you see because Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost the baby is filled with the Holy Ghost just like if if you take drugs as a pregnant mother the baby’s going to get those.

▶ 6:53 Drugs okay so John was filled with the Holy Ghost in the womb when his mother was filled with the Holy Ghost are you with me all. Right and she began to prophesy she began to speak she began to say things that people didn’t know see that’s prophecy that’s Revelation prophecy that’s the office of a prophet when you are declaring things that hasn’t been revealed that’s the office of a prophet and she’s a woman of all things. Prophesying the next one one is Zacharias it’s number four as it was said earlier Zacharias and his wife was old she was barren she had went past the age of being able to have children yet when the Holy Ghost came upon her restored her womb a miracle took place her womb was restored and even at an old age she birthed John the baptist got pregnant with John the baptist and Zacharias when John was born was filled with the Holy Ghost and gave a tremendous.

▶ 8:05 Prophecy tremendous you can read it there in Luke and so just like the Old Testament said he’s going to pour out his spirit on all flesh your sons and daughters shall what. Prophesy is a son a male is a daughter a female your sons your females and your males will what prophesy they’re going to be filled with the Holy Spirit how can you silence women in the church when God said I’m going to pour it out on both. Sexes all four prophesied just like the Old Testament told us two were women and two were men and if God come up Mary and came up Elizabeth and prophesied through them should we listen yes absolutely. Absolutely we keep the structure in the home but in the church women can be used of God and that’s what God said back in the Old Testament he’s going to do it on all flesh amen so we have two women and two men very balanced out here.

Scripture (NKJV)

Luke 1:41-45 (NKJV)

And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. What did the Holy Spirit do for Simeon and Anna?

▶ Watch this part (9:15)

Short answer: Luke 2:25: the Holy Ghost revealed to Simeon he would see the Lord’s Christ, led him to the temple, and he held Jesus and prophesied salvation for all nations, a light to the Gentiles. The Spirit gives a hunger to assemble (Hebrews 10:25) to meet Jesus. Anna, 84, also prophesied.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 9:15 Speaking in prophecy the fifth. Reference is in Luke 2:25 the Holy Ghost was upon Simeon it was revealed to him by the Holy Ghost remember we learn that we in the church we can speak by Revelation by doctrine by knowledge and by prophecy four avenues of speaking here Simeon a nobody but when the Holy Ghost came things happened when the Holy Ghost started using Zacharias and Elizabeth things happened and here we got another guy Simeon he’s an old guy ready to die it was revealed to him Revelation came to him by the Holy Ghost that he should not see death before he had seen the lord’s Christ that he wasn’t going to die until he saw the messiah the Christ the savior of the world the son of God come the next thing we notice about Simeon is he came by the spirit to the temple of God he was led by the spirit to the temple of God and I submit to you God will not only give you the Revelation of Jesus Christ he will put a hunger in your heart to assemble in the church of the living God forsake not the assembling of yourself together even the more so as you see the day approaching provoking one another and

▶ 10:46 to love and good works see the Holy Ghost will get you out of bed he will get you away from the tv to assemble in the house of God where we edify and build one another to love do good works and people don’t go to the house of God because of that they don’t have the Holy Ghost that’s one of the things he’s going to drive you to do is go to the house of God then he took Jesus up in his arms he had a meeting with Jesus personally and that’s why we come to the house of God to have a meeting with Jesus Christ amen it’s not to socialize it’s not to sell insurance it is to meet with Jesus and his house is never to be merchandised by the way don’t fall for that stuff then he said Lord now let your servant depart in peace now I can die in peace he wasn’t worried about death wasn’t afraid of dying he knew dying was part of living.

▶ 11:48 Now Lord I can die in peace I’ve seen you you you have fulfilled what you told me you would do for my eyes now he begins to prophesy my eyes have seen your salvation Jesus is the savior of the world which you prepared before the face of all nations all people Jesus the Bible said as we taught died before the foundations of the earth a light to lighten the Gentiles he saw that Jesus was going to bring the nations in not just the Jews he was going to bring the unbelievers and the glory of your people Israel that was another person in the temple at that time called Anna and she prophesied she had been fasting and praying in the temple she was 84 years old she’s an old geer and she’s serving God and she’s having an effect in the temple and when Jesus came in to be circumcised like Simeon she prophesied about Jesus she had a meeting with Jesus and so you have another man and a woman prophesying being used of the Holy Spirit can I hear an amen now our next account is in Matthew.

Scripture (NKJV)

Luke 2:25-32 (NKJV)

And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. So he came by the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him according to the custom of the law, he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said: “Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, According to Your word; For my eyes have seen Your salvation Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel.”

What happened when the Spirit descended on Jesus?

▶ Watch this part (13:08)

Short answer: Matthew 3:16 and Luke 3:22: the Spirit descended like a dove and the Father spoke—one God, not three. Jesus was baptized in the Holy Spirit as an event, unlike those who say you just get the Spirit at water baptism without any event.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 13:08 3:16 through chapter 4:1 and in Luke. 3:22 when Jesus was baptized the heavens were open unto him and he and John saw the spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting upon Jesus and of a voice from heaven said this is my beloved son and whom I am well pleased now when I was a young Christian people were always saying that Jesus couldn’t be God because he’d be talking to. Himself sounds really logical but you don’t understand the godhead there is how many gods. One part of God came in the flesh to die on the cross for the sins of the world and that part of God is called what Jesus another part of God one God is a power of God the Holy Spirit working in people in the earth to make them successful in spiritual and natural and family thing we need that power of God working with us amen it’s not our own abilities is going to get this done we need.

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 3:16-17 (NKJV)

When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Does being filled with the Spirit mean no testing?

▶ Watch this part (14:27)

Short answer: Jesus was led of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tested. He was tested in immediate need (bread), in demanding a sign (only the sign of Jonah), and in riches and worship—turn from those who say gain is godliness. God provides a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13).

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 14:27 Jesus the Holy Ghost working in us and so Jesus had the Holy Ghost he was baptized in the Holy Spirit and these people mainly fundamentalists that say that the Holy Ghost is not for today then they just get the Holy Spirit at water baptism well I tell them I didn’t see any dove when you got baptized I didn’t see any action I didn’t see any event you just got. Baptized but Jesus what had had an event that’s a big thing that’s a big difference. Amen. Now. Also the next account is when Pentecostals and charismatics just go over and they just go on by they don’t like this one then Jesus was led of the spirit into the wilderness to be what tempted tested of the Devil tested oh man tested hallelujah man I’m filled with power I’m filled with the Holy Ghost man man nothing going to have no bad things go I a I’m just going to skate through life that’s the uh impression that the pentecostals gave me when I got saved you know if I get saved I’m just going to roller skate into heaven no problems I did not know I had so many flaws in me until I got.

▶ 15:57 Saved I had so many things to. Change Jesus was tempted in three areas the first one was his immediate need he was fasting he was hungry and the Devil said you know why don’t you make bread out of these stones you know and I’ve seen a lot of people say you know if God will save my marriage I’ll serve him immediate need see if God will do this for me I will serve him I’ll follow him you see you got to follow God whether he does anything or not in your immediate. Need amen so you’re going to be tested in that don’t fall for that if God doesn’t meet your immediate need immediately I should say he may meet it a little later but he may wait your job is still to follow Christ.

▶ 16:59 The second temptation. Was jump off this pinnacle of the temple because the Bible says you won’t get hurt no harm to you so we you know I hear people say well if I could see a miracle if I could just see a miracle then I would believe atheists use this all the time no no there’s no sign given but the sign of Jonah Christ was three days and three night in the heart of the earth. And uh his resurrection his death and his burial that is the sign amen so don’t be fooled by these things then the last one was the one that gets most. People I’ll give you all the riches of these nations of the world position title renowned. Famous if you will worship me and that gets a lot of people especially in the faith camp name it of the uh gain.

▶ 17:59 If if if God’s blessing me financially man I am mature I am really a great Christian and the Bible says turn away from those that say gain is. Godliness hallelujah and you’re going to be tested in money and this was the big test when God brought me into the ministry I was making more money than I ever made in my life when God said okay now I want you to go take over that coffee house up in [unclear]. I mean I was fixed. Up but it was no problem because it was the Holy Ghost working everything together the timing and everything come together at that time and the worship if you will worship me and Jesus said no the scripture said to worship the Lord thy God only and only him shall you serve see he’s going to test you in worship can you kneel before the Lord your God your maker can you lift your hands unto him can you sing Psalms hymns and spiritual song can you worship him and praise him like the Bible says to do you.

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 4:1-10 (NKJV)

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ” Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God.’ ” Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ”

Who baptizes in the Holy Spirit and who can receive?

▶ Watch this part (19:13)

Short answer: John 1:33 and Luke 3:16: Jesus baptizes with the Holy Ghost and fire—a package with salvation. He gives it to all flesh, so every believer is a candidate, though we must ask. Jesus cast out devils by the Spirit of God (Matthew 12:28), a supernatural event showing the kingdom has come.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 19:13 See and you’re going to be tested and tempted in. That and it’s the Holy Ghost doing it so you can’t fail what is that what he says there’s no temptation come upon men no testing that God will not what give them a way of escape that they may what bear up under it God is not going to allow anything in your life that he knows you can’t handle you bring things in your life that you can handle but not God. Amen how many can identify with that last statement I bring these things yes yes it’s not God. Now remember in John 1:33 and Luke 3:16 John said Jesus shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire not just save you not just forgive you it’s a packaged deal if you accept Christ if you invite him into your life accept his death on the cross for your sins then you are a candidate to be baptized filled with the Holy Spirit because Jesus is the baptizer in in the Holy Spirit he gives it and who does he give it.

▶ 20:35 To all flesh yes we have to ask but he gives it to who all flesh so if you’re a believer and you’re in a fleshly body you’re a candidate to be filled with the Holy Spirit the next event and you see these are events they are things that are happening things that are transpiring it’s not just faith and believing these things are happening Mark 3 and Matthew 12 gives the same. Account and uh Jesus says to the people if I cast out devils by the spirit of God how did Jesus cast out devils by the spirit of God see the Holy Ghost came upon him and there’s that spirit working in him to bring success. Spiritually and demons are a spiritual thing you don’t have the Holy Ghost a demon comes along you’re in deep trouble the kingdom of God has come to you because a supernatural event has happened and the kingdom of God is about supernatural powers you see and then he says this powerful statement and this is question number three that I gave you at the beginning.

What is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit?

▶ Watch this part (21:52)

Short answer: Mark 3:28–30: all sins and blasphemies are forgiven, but speaking evil of the Holy Ghost has never forgiveness and is in danger of eternal damnation—because they said Jesus had an unclean spirit, crediting a demon with God’s supernatural works. John 10:38 and 10:25: the works bear witness of him.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 21:52 Question number three Mark 3:28 through3 all sins shall be forgiven all murder stealing disobeying and dishonoring parents. Lying take in the name of the Lord thy God in vain idolatry they’re all forgiven and blasphemies you speak evil of God and evil of the scriptures and evil of Jesus you’re forgiven but if you speak evil and harmful about the Holy Ghost you’re never forgiven and you’re in danger of eternal damnation. Now first notice you’re never. Forgiven secondly. Notice you are in what danger of eternal damnation you are not totally committed to.

▶ 22:50 It you see the difference you’re in danger can you avoid the the danger yeah oh there’s a way out now why did Jesus say this and I’ve met so many people that think they’ve blasphemed the Holy Ghost and they can’t be forgiven and I’m going to show you some other stuff. Here and they leave out this part you’re in danger of eternal. Damnation now why did he say that because he said because they said he hath an unclean spirit that they said a demon was doing these supernatural works through him instead of the Holy Spirit instead of giving credit to God and who was the Holy Spirit the power of the God highest God.

▶ 23:46 Yes and so when they spoke evil of the demonstrational power of the Holy Ghost that Jesus says was unexcusable. Okay he didn’t do that by a demon he did it by the spirit of God and it was a supernatural thing that humans can’t do or demons can’t. Do. Hallelujah now look at this John 10:38 though you don’t believe in me believe the what works believe the works the super natural he walking on water he’s he’s multiplying loaves and fishes he’s calming the seas he’s raising the dead he’s opening blinded eyes he’s growing hands and fingers and arms on to the maimed who didn’t have them actually growing body parts on he’s doing tremendous things and the Bible says he did these things so people would.

▶ 24:54 Believe and you don’t give credit to demons. When God is doing supernatural things and only God can do them next he says in John 10:25 the works that I do they what bear witness of me they are proof that I am who I said I. Am amen amen he said him and the father were one that he was God and the miracles were proof that he was hallelujah he said I’m the savior of the world he said I have the authority on earth to forgive sins and the miracles were what the proof that he was who he said he was and they said well you can’t boast of yourself he says I can cuz I know who I am is that.

How are Father, Son and Spirit one?

▶ Watch this part (25:47)

Short answer: John 14:10: the Father in me does the works—so the Father and Holy Ghost are the same. Colossians 2:9: in Jesus dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. The Trinity does not mean three gods; it is God expressing himself in three ways.

▶ 25:47 Right. Hallelujah John 14:10 the father who dwells in me does the works wow. He just said he cast out devils by the Holy Ghost then he turns around and says the father in me does the work so who’s the Holy. Ghost the father who’s the father the Holy. Ghost see they’re the same person. Folks just God demonstrating and revealing himself in three aspects so we could understand it do you see. That okay I’m going to give you a summation of this Colossians 2:9 in him Jesus dwells all the fullness of the godhead.

▶ 26:44 Bodily where do the three parts of God dwell in Jesus we just saw the Holy Ghost was in him we saw that the father was in him and we know that Jesus was God in the physical form form bodily means the physical Jesus was the physical abiding place of God on this earth you got it and that’s why there’s nothing wrong with the trinity you can say the word trinity it does not mean there are three gods at all it’s just God expressing himself in three ways that’s why he could talk back through Christ the physical body or talk to the physical Christ from heaven and the physical Christ could talk to the father in heaven and where is.

Can the unpardonable sin be forgiven?

▶ Watch this part (27:41)

Short answer: 1 Timothy 1:13: Paul was formerly a blasphemer and persecutor, yet obtained mercy. He says the blood of Christ cleanses all sins, even the unforgivable ones, so stop condemning yourself.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 27:41 Heaven the spirit world the spirit world it’s not up there in the star somewhere it’s the spirit world and if God opened your eyes you could see the spirit world and that’s going to happen when Jesus comes back you’re going to be able to see I want to show you the unpardonable sin can be forgiven that’s how powerful Jesus is that’s how powerful his blood is his death. Is 1 Timothy 1:13 Paul said I was formerly a blasphemer blasphemers we just read could not be forgiven. Right I was formerly a blasphemer he renounced and he disrespected everything supernatural and the message that was going on about Jesus he was a persecutor he actually killed and imprisoned the followers of Christ he was. Disrespectful but I obtain.

▶ 28:36 Mercy he was forgiven he was the chief sinner why was he the chief sinner because he killed an innocent man which the Old Testament said God would not forgive and he blasphemed the Holy Ghost he committed the two unpardonable sins and yet. God saved him forgave him and used him tremendously in the church are you there yes and I have met so many Christians that said oh I’ve done the pardonable sin I you know I forsook Christ and I go get off of it the blood of Christ cleanses how many sins all folks all even the unforgivable. Ones that’s how powerful Christ is and that’s why the protestants emphasize Christ so strongly is he is the fullness of the godhead he is everything wrapped up in that physical body and that’s why he’s given a name above every name he had no sin and died for the sins of the world and protestants.

What does Hebrews 6:4–6 mean?

▶ Watch this part (29:54)

Short answer: He says it applies to those enlightened, who tasted the heavenly gift, were partakers of the Holy Ghost, tasted the good word and the powers of the world to come—like the apostles—and then renounced Christ. Falling away is renouncing, not backsliding; Judas did it. Most believers don’t come close, and mature Christians never think of leaving God.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 29:54 Really exalt the name of Christ. And rightly. So. Now question number. Four now see I had these questions when I was a young Christian I actually out witnessing these things would come up I’d go to God I would talk to God I’d go to the word and slowly answers came to me okay questions are good see I couldn’t understand so I asked questions this scripture in Hebrews chapter 6:4 just really threw me for quite a while so the question is why was Paul the chiefest sinner forgiven for the murder of Stephen an innocent man and blasphemy against the Holy Ghost why would was he.

▶ 30:59 Forgiven in Hebrews 6:4 which people use also to excommunicate themself from the salvation of Christ it is impossible for those who were and he’s going to list four things once enlighten they heard the gospel of Christ they were convicted they admitted they were sinner they asked forgiveness enlightened a tasted of the heavenly gift eternal life is the gift of God through Jesus Christ our Lord they actually invited Christ into their life and possessed eternal life they were made partakers tasted as partakers they were made partakers of the Holy Ghost they were filled with the an event happened they were filled it was poured out upon them it came upon them there was an event that happened by the Holy.

▶ 31:53 Spirit they tasted of the good word of God remember the disciples did not have the scriptures opened up to them to the last chapter of Luke then God opened up their understanding to understand the scriptures you see these things when they have participated in these things and last of all the powers of the world to come the powers of the spirit world the supernatural workings of God these apostles had miracles working they could cast out demons they could heal the sick raised the dead they could preach the gospel and people were getting saved the powers of the spirit world they had encountered before they were filled with the Holy Ghost before their understanding was open to understand the scriptures these apostles had experienced the powers of the spirit world and when Jesus was crucified they all left uh uh Peter denied.

▶ 32:55 Him and then they all left and and they went back to fishing they went back to their Job and then Jesus came and filled them with the Holy. Ghost and none of these guys. Ever ever renounce Christ it says if they fall away to renew them again to repentance it’s. Impossible so they crucified to themselves the son of God aresh and put him to an open shame. Fall away is not backsliding fall away is renouncing much stronger rejecting once they experience the supernatural powers of the spirit world of the God in miracles supernatural.

▶ 33:49 Events and they renounce that they have experienced they know. Better then it’s impossible the rest of us we don’t even come close to. Qualifying are you with me so don’t beat yourself up with this scripture and yes you find the apostles never never after these things happened in their life they did not renounce Christ they never had a nervous breakdown they never run off with the church secretary they never run off with the church’s money there was never a bad report from any of these people who experience the fullness of these. Things but Judas who experienced the powers of heaven he cast out demons he healed the sick he preached the gospel people were getting saved he rejected renounced denied.

▶ 34:52 Christ not just re deny him he renounced him and he could not find. Forgiveness. Hallelujah so folks don’t let people put this on themselves and don’t you you’re not in that category you’re in a category of growth from babyhood to maturity and when you get to maturity believe me renouncing Christ just isn’t in your vocabulary or in your thinking no matter what happens to you it’s never a thought of blaming God or leaving God. Never and that’s part of that is the power of the Holy Ghost you see and the word of God that’s why you need to be taught the word of God and ask God to open up your understanding to his word. Has.

Hebrews 6:4-6 (NKJV)

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

About this transcript

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added from the speaker’s pauses and then corrected by hand, and obvious caption errors (names, Bible references) were fixed; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor notes: One place name at 18:20 was not clear. Points to check: Solomon “13 years” between visitations; that Paul “killed an innocent man” (Stephen—Acts 7–8 says he consented) and that the Old Testament said murder of the innocent would not be forgiven. Doctrinal positions kept as spoken: the unpardonable sin can be forgiven, Elizabeth’s prophecy as the office of a prophet, women used in the church, not receiving the Spirit at water baptism, Jesus growing body parts, faith-camp “gain is godliness.” Select any time to jump to that moment on YouTube.
