Helps: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
Pastor David G. Kincer teaches the ministry of helps: the wise men financing Jesus’ flight to Egypt, deacons qualified by honest report, the Spirit and wisdom, the church’s welfare policy in 1 Timothy 5 and 2 Thessalonians 3, the four men carrying the paralytic, the apostles serving the multitude, and thrifty ministers. Help begins at home; good families make a good church.
Where does the ministry of helps fit among the gifts?
Short answer: God sets people in the church—Bible college or Ivy League schools can’t. He ranks the utterance ministries (apostle, prophet, teacher), then sign ministries (miracles, healings), then work ministries anyone can do—helps and governments—with tongues last. Paul the apostle still helped set up and clean up; good leaders work with the crew.
▶ 0:00 We learned that God sets in the church you see you can’t go to Bible college or seminar or Princeton or Yale and call yourself a minister only God can do that and don’t get me wrong we need knowledge of the Bible but it takes God. To prepare someone and give them the abilities to do these things and then he gives us a list of these ministries these gifts. Apostle and he gives them an order the number one ranking minister is the apostle then the prophet then the teachers and we call these the teaching ministries the utterance ministries okay. Then.
▶ 0:51 You got miracles and healings these are the signs the supernatural. Only God can do humans can’t do them and then you got the work ministries anybody can do that. Ministry of helps which will be talking about the day governments and then at the bottom is a variety of languages and if there’s interpretation languages tongues become a teaching part of this up here and also. Tongues are a sign for the unbeliever you see and so it becomes a supernatural thing now. The apostle did all of them Paul the apostle have worked every one just because he was an apostle he was still helping clean up have him set up he was involved okay and a good leader won’t just be standing there watching a crew work they will be working with the crew that’s the right character to have and I hear an amen yeah too many want to be the boss.
Scripture in this part
1 Corinthians 12:28 (NKJV)
And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.
— 1 Corinthians 12:28 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:07 (quoted; reference not named in the message)How did the wise men show the ministry of helps?
Short answer: They came to a house—not the manger—to worship the young child and gave gold, frankincense and myrrh. When the angel told Joseph to flee to Egypt from Herod, those gifts financed the stay until Herod died—a financial ministry of helps.
▶ 2:07 And just watch all the rest of us do work now we’re going to take a look first at the wise men these wise men there wasn’t just three of them by the way we don’t know how many there were we know there were more than two. Because it’s plural we have. Accepted the song that said we three kings of Orient are, and just accept these things as doctrine and they’re not but these wise men came to worship Jesus they traveled for two years ok and when they got to. Jerusalem. They went into a house not the manger. The nativity scene having the wise men there they weren’t at the manger they were in the house they moved from the manger the stockade part to the house a house so they come not only to worship Jesus ok and Jesus is a child to come and they worshipped him but they also presented to Jesus gifts of gold frankincense and myrrh.
▶ 3:28 Valuable things back then. When the wise men left an angel came to Joseph in a dream and said take the young child into Egypt for Herod seeks to destroy him and so Joseph took the young child young child not babe see the angel told the shepherd’s you will find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger but he told the wise men that it was a child. That’s something a good period of time has gone by all right just getting your traditional doctrine straightened out that’s all it’s amazing what we believe.

Matthew 2:11 (NKJV)
And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
— Matthew 2:11 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 3:24 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Matthew 2:13-14 (NKJV)
Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.” When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt,
— Matthew 2:13-14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 3:37 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What qualified the first deacons?
Short answer: Acts 6:1–3: seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, appointed over daily distribution to widows. Even distributing food required checking their homes and neighbors; they chose seven because that’s what was needed—no title without a task.
▶ 4:20 Just because of the way it’s been presented to us over the years like angels with wings there’s no angel in the Bible that had wings none. But because the church is used wings to represent angels everybody thinks angels have wings and they do not have wing. And so the young child he took his mother and the young child and departed into Egypt and they got the finances they got the help financially to go into Egypt live there until they could return after Herod’s death that’s a ministry of helps financial. Now. We also are going to go to the book of acts and see the contributions again our help here but not only contributions but you need some volunteers you need some helpers here not just contributions in Acts 61 they chose seven men of honest report full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom and they.
▶ 5:27 Appointed them over the business of daily distribution to the widows they called them deacons. Most churches have deacons. But let me show you something you can’t just choose and put a title on people these guys now this is the church and all they’re doing is distributing food clothing medicine whatever these widows needed they’re just they’re distributing natural thing but to qualify for this ministry of distribute distributing food clothing medicine and so forth they had to qualify in three areas they had to have an honest report that means leaders in the church went to the home and asked the wife or the whoever woman asked the husband you know how’s this how’s it how they behaving in the house are they honest.
▶ 6:35 And are they doing right then they go to the neighbor hey your neighbors over here how they doing are they good people are they honest people and if they pass that then they had to be filled with the Holy Ghost. Not just accepting the spirit ago they had to be filled baptizing the Holy Ghost and then they had to have wisdom now remember we showed you that God Jesus said I’m going to send to you apostles prophets. Teachers and wise men all right these guys had to have wisdom. They just didn’t pick anybody that’s sitting in the pew.
▶ 7:30 Are you out there. But not in the American territory just take anybody put a title on him and then they go strutting around like there’s something. But you see what they needed volunteers to run this now yet now the church is really big right now you know they had 7,000 saved in just a short period of time plus daily they had 7,000 at two different times and then daily adding to the church so there’s thousands of people here in this Jerusalem church thousands and they chose seven men not six not five not four not three seven the reason they chose seven because that’s what they needed to get the job done all right there’s no reason for a church to have seven deacons if they don’t need if they’re not distributing anything distributing anything they don’t need a deacon are you with me.
Scripture in this part
Acts 6:1-3 (NKJV)
Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution. Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business;
— Acts 6:1-3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:20What is the church’s welfare policy?
Short answer: 1 Timothy 5:8: provide for yourself and your household, or you have denied the faith and are worse than an infidel. 2 Thessalonians 3:10–12: if any would not work, neither should he eat; work and eat your own bread, and don’t associate with freeloaders so they may learn.
▶ 8:30 Now it’s very important that you know this Christians are responsible to help themselves. And their family. See they were helping the widows but you need to understand the church’s policy on welfare here it is. First Timothy 5:8 if any provide not for his own self. Okay you eat your own food you buy your own clothes or make them you you you. Not somebody else not your mama. Not your aunt uncle you all right especially that’s number one especially for those of his own house your family you if somebody is lacking it is your responsibility to.
▶ 9:34 Help them it’s the family can I hear an amen. Is it. Christianity is a religion of responsibility and accountability. Christ. Hold us responsible for our behavior our talk our family and everything else now if you don’t provide for your own self and your own family you’re worse than an infidel an unbeliever and that actions says that you have denied the faith second Thessalonians 3:10 if any would not work here’s the third one you got to be responsible for yourself you got a responsible for your family and you got to be responsible to work to provide I’ve always said Christians work.
▶ 10:39 Neither should he eat if he isn’t working and don’t feed him he’ll get hungry enough he’ll work. Now this is the early church talking. Then he goes on to say all of you should eat I should work and eat your own bread don’t go munching off somebody else don’t just show up every dinnertime is somebody else’s house and oh you got dinner oh yeah sure. Don’t be freeloading and he is so adamant about this so adamant that he says if they don’t work don’t associate with them that they might learn. Alleluia does the church in America got a lot to learn yeah we do.
Scripture in this part
1 Timothy 5:8 (NKJV)
But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
— 1 Timothy 5:8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:302 Thessalonians 3:10-12 (NKJV)
For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are such we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work in quietness and eat their own bread.
— 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 9:34Whom should the church help?
Short answer: 1 Timothy 5:9–16: believing families relieve their own widows so the church isn’t burdened; the church helps widows indeed—60 or older, with no family, and a report of good works. He says the New Testament church helped believers, and the church checks with the family and helps quietly.
▶ 11:36 When you bring a child into this world you’re responsible for them not the government not your mom and dad you are you brought them in you take care of here’s the church’s responsibility. Church is a collective body that comes together first Timothy 5:9 through 16 if any that believe have widows okay any that what believe. The church never helped unbelievers in. The New Testament they never helped unbelievers you understand that I’m sure you didn’t understand that because the thing in America if you’re a good church you’re helping everybody doesn’t matter if you’re walking in righteousness that man if you’re loving your wife and your loving your husband and loving your kid if you’re helping the drug addict and you know they uh yeah oh man you just top quality Christian but it’s believing widows.
▶ 12:41 Let them relieve them let the believer the family that’s he’s repeating it again it is the family’s responsibility. And then he plainly says let not the church be charged don’t be putting the burden on the church. Are you reading the same Bible. Yeah. That the church may relieve them that are widows in need indeed they’re truly widows they don’t have a child to support them they don’t have a husband now their mom and dad are gone there’s no one to help them and they are in need so now the church steps in and helps those kind of people.
▶ 13:34 All right. But there’s qualifications to get the church’s help. Besides not having a family and this is how this church is always helped with alms number one we keep it quiet we basically go to someone in the congregation or two or three and we say we got a person that has a need after we’ve checked and seen why the family doesn’t help them and usually there’s a reason why the family doesn’t help them and when you help them all you’re doing is creating a life of dependency because the family usually usually has a reason why they don’t help they’re trying to get the person to straighten out and they won’t. And so we call the family.
▶ 14:28 You see because the family is the first person that’s responsible for this then the church they are widows in need but the qualification is they had to be 60 or above younger widows get out work woman. Clean house is clean to do whatever. Or go get married woman go get married get your man is that the thinking in America today no way. And they had to have a report of good works just like the deacons they went and checked up are these people living a Christian life are they doing good things living a good right life let me know that’s fair or are they on drugs and alcohol oh yeah then no they don’t qualify.
Scripture in this part
1 Timothy 5:9-16 (NKJV)
Do not let a widow under sixty years old be taken into the number, and not unless she has been the wife of one man, well reported for good works: if she has brought up children, if she has lodged strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, if she has diligently followed every good work. But refuse the younger widows; for when they have begun to grow wanton against Christ, they desire to marry, having condemnation because they have cast off their first faith. And besides they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house, and not only idle but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not. Therefore I desire that the younger widows marry, bear children, manage the house, give no opportunity to the adversary to speak reproachfully. For some have already turned aside after Satan. If any believing man or woman has widows, let them relieve them, and do not let the church be burdened, that it may relieve those who are really widows.
— 1 Timothy 5:9-16 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 11:54How do the four men with the paralytic illustrate helps?
Short answer: Matthew 9:2: four men overcame every obstacle—carrying the paralyzed man up and lowering him through the roof—and Jesus healed him. It took four men to get him there and Jesus to heal; many people can’t help themselves spiritually and need to be brought to Jesus.
▶ 15:35 Does that sound harsh. It’s not harsh at all it’s holding someone to be responsible. Christianity is. Responsibility. Not just speaking in tongues and prophecy and shaken when the presence comes and all that it is being a person of that is responsible can I hear a big amen and this is why people go to churches where they don’t tell you you got to be responsible they want to hear their okay being irresponsible. All right now here’s a great illustration of how the ministry of helps works okay in Matthew 9:2.
▶ 16:27 Jesus was in this house preaching the crowds were all outside the house was full of people crowds were outside and these. Four men brought a paralyzed man lying on the bed this man could not help himself he couldn’t go to the bathroom but by himself he couldn’t eat by himself he’s paralyzed he’s totally dependent on someone. You got the picture. And. So these four people come and they can’t get through the crowd so what they did is they went around and they climbed up on the roof and you can imagine this guy’s on a on a bit a cot you can imagine they really had to work in unity to keep the guy from falling off the cot and get him up on the roof then they had to take the roof off and let.
Scripture in this part
Matthew 9:2 (NKJV)
Then behold, they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.”
— Matthew 9:2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 15:35Why does one evangelist need help?
Short answer: Jonah 4:11: Nineveh’s 120,000 couldn’t discern right from left, yet one man with God’s word turned the city to repentance. Then they had to be taught—like a newborn needing care. He says getting people saved is easy, keeping them saved is hard work, which is why God turned him to the church as pastor and teacher.
▶ 17:25 Him down and Jesus healed him excellent illustration of how the church works it took four men to get him there it took Jesus to heal him. And they didn’t let anything stop him these guys overcome every obstacle to get this guy to Jesus there’s a lot of people folks out there spiritually that cannot help themselves and they need to be brought to Jesus could that be an amen this is a great story one man and God’s work Jonah one man just one with God’s work God told him to go preach to Nineveh and he.
▶ 18:17 Went down and preached and God told him in Jonah 4:11 should I not pity Nineveh with a hundred and twenty thousand people who can’t discern between the right hand and their left see they’re like this paralyzed person they can’t help themselves they don’t know right from wrong they have been brainwashed by culture and society they don’t know anymore are you with me then it says the king. When the king heard the message he repented when his congress heard the message and the supreme court they repented and when the citizens heard the message and the king repeated the message did out throughout the city they repented and turned one man with the word turned a whole city to repentance back to righteousness because they understood now the difference between right and wrong but haven’t even know Jonah right now has a big problem.
▶ 19:31 He’s got a hundred and twenty thousand people that are baby Christians. That has to be taught they have to grow they have to learn and that’s too big for one man he needs help when you had a child did you just set it out on the sidewalk and go. And leave it alone. You got the picture see having a child oh we pass out the cigars of whatever the the bubble gum cigars if we don’t smoke or whatever and you know and then we’re all everybody’s all joyful and then you got the responsibility of raising that kid to adulthood uh oh the joy is gone excitements gone ah.
▶ 20:26 Yo mama’s got to get up the middle of the night change diapers and clean up burp and you know feed and all this the man’s got to get up to work and that babies cry and get that baby out of here. And so God taught me son getting them saved is easy. Keeping them saved is hard work and that’s when he turned my attention to the church this is why the church is so important you understand otherwise you could just have home Bible studies and you could just the church is important because together we can help grow people into mature Christians. So that’s when I understood he didn’t want me to be evangelists he wanted to be a pastor and a teacher and help his believers grow and I turned and started focusing in on the church and I still witnessed and I’ve led almost 1,100 people to Christ one on one person to person.
Scripture in this part
Jonah 4:11 (NKJV)
And should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left—and much livestock?”
— Jonah 4:11 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 18:17Did the apostles serve tables?
Short answer: Jesus prayed “Father forgive them, for they know not what they do”—it’s our job to bring people to him. At the feeding of the multitude (Mark 6:39, Matthew 14:19), the apostles organized groups of fifty, distributed the food and cleaned up the leftovers—helps and governments together.
▶ 21:38 No church service salvations are counted that credit goes to the church this is just me one-on-one with people alleluia and by the way I had a goal for a thousand and I reached it but you gotta set goals. If you don’t set goals you get up do nothing. Anyway. This is where the work begins. Luke 23:34 Jesus said father forgive them for they know not what they do they killed Jesus there’s people in America that believe this nonsense that the Bible is a book of myths that Jesus is just a good man wasn’t God at all their believe they’re accepting all of these lies and church it’s our responsibility to take them to Jesus amen.
▶ 22:38 Not go oh this these people these people know it’s our responsibility and it takes unified. Involvement to have effective results. Hallelujah and God places you in the ministry of helps it’s a very important area now. The 12 apostles started out of servers Matthew sick or Mark 639 Matthew 14:19 he gay there were they were 15,000 people here okay.
▶ 23:16 He gave the loaves and the fish he multiplied it to five loaves and two fishes and he multiplied it and he had his disciples distributed after they organized them in groups of 50 so here the apostles are using the ministry of helps even the ministry of government to get this thing organized groups of 50 okay now you’re going to be in charge of this 50 and he get okay you 50 over here and that takes a long time dividing 15,000 people in 250 group in the 50 numbered groups are you with me that takes organization that takes thinking see this is the ministry of helps then the apostles the mighty ones that were preaching the gospel walked on water healing the sick and all this stuff they had to get the food from Jesus and take it to the people is it they started out as servers and then guess what after everybody was done eating the disciples took up the leftovers they were the cleanup crew.
Scripture in this part
Luke 23:34 (NKJV)
Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” And they divided His garments and cast lots.
— Luke 23:34 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 22:09Mark 6:39-43 (NKJV)
Then He commanded them to make them all sit down in groups on the green grass. So they sat down in ranks, in hundreds and in fifties. And when He had taken the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and the two fish He divided among them all. So they all ate and were filled. And they took up twelve baskets full of fragments and of the fish.
— Mark 6:39-43 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 23:30 (quoted; reference not named in the message)How should ministers handle money?
Short answer: Acts 20:33–34: Paul coveted no one’s silver and worked with his hands for himself and his team. 1 Corinthians 9: he preached without charge so as not to abuse his authority. Ministers need domestic needs met, not luxury; women supplied Jesus of their substance (Luke 8:2–3). Jesus’ program was repentance.
▶ 24:26 Are you there. Welcome to the ministry of helps. Hallelujah. There’s too many people in America just sitting in a pew Christians and they’re better than the ones that’s just sitting at home at least they’re sitting in a pew are you there but we need to vote get involved when we get involved we have tremendous results and plurality of involvement means a much bigger result now Bible preachers can help by being thrifty in acts chapter 20 verse 33 Paul says I coveted no man silver gold or apparel you yourselves know that what these hands have ministered to my necessities and to them that were with me Paul had a group that went with him traveling and he was a tent maker and he made tents sold the tents to support him and his fellow workers who I’m sure he had helping him make tents.
▶ 25:42 But they were there to help him with the group’s you know they had to have somebody there to send out the aprons and the handkerchiefs and stuff and and the things that needed to be done with a big crowd. Are you there see ministers need to think thrifty you don’t need a rolls-royce silver shadow you don’t need a thousand-dollar suit you don’t need a mansion on the hill top to be a minister. You just need your domestic needs met. First Corinthians 9:14 what is my reward Paul said that when I preach the gospel I may make the gospel of Christ without what. Charged that I abuse not my authority in the gospel folks he’s doing miracles I mean tremendous miracles and when people.
▶ 26:46 Get physically healed by God or just spiritually healed they want to to. Give back and a minister can actually manipulate them begin and Paul says no way I won’t do that how many know Paul’s got the better idea I me know in America we got too many ministers with this prosperity preaching and all this nonsense they’re living good while these poor widows and poor people in the church are given their social security money and everything else and they’re living high on the hog I’m you know that did not happen in the New Testament they need to be exposed you say man you’re harsh I’m not harsh I’m telling you what Paul said blame him and he got his message for who Jesus straight from Jesus Jesus appeared to him and and took him up to the third heaven and in America God has backed off of America because a lot of these things that the church is doing I got saved during a great awakening in America and then God started backing off and the thing is dissipated and we’re replacing it with a lot of nonsense we’re replacing the real move of God with a move of humanity and one of it is we’re just helping the poor and if you’re helping and you love the homosexual and
▶ 28:16 you love the dropouts and everything else you all you’re such a great Christian they need to be brought to Jesus Jesus is an example he had only his domestic needs met that’s all here in Luke chapter 8 verse 2 certain women God bless the women which had been healed okay God had healed them of evil spirits Mary Magdalene had seven spirits cast out of her and infirmities. Sicknesses diseases. And they named three Joanna, Susanna and many others how many many other women say women women I. Don’t like it when men not women.
▶ 29:12 God is no respecter of persons and don’t get me wrong these men where they had they were out working at their shop or working in the in the garden in the fields you know that they’re out working to provide for the home and the women because they took care of the home they knew what Jesus’s needs were they knew he needed a bath they knew he needed his clothes wash they knew he needed food they knew he needed brush his teeth they knew he needed a place to sleep and they came and they offered him of their substance we got a room over here at this house Jesus if you want to sleep with your disciple we got food we brought food for you guys you know out of their substance it wasn’t their wealth they weren’t bring in gold and silver and all that they were bringing domestic solutions and that’s all Jesus needed is that true with many American preachers today no way man if they don’t have a private jet to run around in and you know they don’t have a cadillac to drive and they don’t have a gold neck and you know all this stuff will boom and I’m not prospering as a preacher and that’s.
▶ 30:40 Why God has backed off the church and that’s why I’m telling you God is getting ready to move again and he’s going to straighten the church out again and I just hope that men don’t ruin it again. We’re good at messing up what God does with our thinking. Hallelujah. Jesus never rode a gold chariot. All right. He never wore thousand-dollar suits. Are you there he never stayed in Hilton hotels. He never had a program for the poor. You’re not going to find it in the New Testament. Even though we’re supposed to help the poor believers he never had a program for it.
Scripture in this part
Acts 20:33-34 (NKJV)
I have coveted no one’s silver or gold or apparel. Yes, you yourselves know that these hands have provided for my necessities, and for those who were with me.
— Acts 20:33-34 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 25:101 Corinthians 9:18 (NKJV)
What is my reward then? That when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ without charge, that I may not abuse my authority in the gospel.
— 1 Corinthians 9:18 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 26:30 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Luke 8:2-3 (NKJV)
and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities—Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons, and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance.
— Luke 8:2-3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 28:16Where does the ministry of helps begin?
Short answer: A good church is the product of good families. Genesis 2:18: it is not good for man to be alone; God made a help meet. 1 Timothy 5:14: younger women should marry, bear children and guide the house—he says the man is head of the woman and the woman manages the house. Unified help at home makes a good church.
▶ 31:37 Check me out. He never had a program for the addict or the alcoholic or the prostitute his program was repentance. Can I hear an amen that was his program repent a good church is a result of good families I. Want you to think on that a good church is not the ability of the preacher to speak eloquently and inspirationally a good church is a product of good families because it’s families that make up the church.
▶ 32:37 And help begins in the home. Genesis 2:18 it’s not good that a man be alone now here’s Adam he’s all by himself he’s only got one person to provide for if he doesn’t eat he dies he can’t there’s no government to give him anything there’s no family next door to give him anything there’s no church to give him anything if he doesn’t work that garden he isn’t going to eat and he’s going to die and it’s not good for man to be alone so what do you do made a woman. God brought the woman to man now Eve could have looked at him said man you ugly. And no way I’m mating with you until you I’m going on the other side of the guard.
▶ 33:29 And she would have had to been responsible for herself and she would have had to work the garden on her side because Adam ain’t going to work her garden for. Are you know. But God created something that has a strong magnets called sex and no matter how ugly either one was and how repulsive they got together. And it still works today people say I’m married for companionship liar. There’s a flat-out liar give me that psychological nonsense you got married because you were burning and then you’re grown.
▶ 34:23 And you wanted to relieve it and if you’re a good person you know the way is marriage and so you start overlooking the freckles the [unclear] on the guy’s face. Alia. I. Love covers a multitude of sins doesn’t it yeah you missed that one. And anyway they got together and guess what nine months later lo and behold a child is born now they got more responsibility. They not only responsible for the marriage now they’re responsible for a family with a child and that child has to be taught that child has to be fed and clothed and educated and given medicine when they’re sick and set up with at night when they’re sick that child is a big drain on the recreation time.
▶ 35:36 My point is this the ministry of helps begins at home a marriage making it work helping instead of stepping on your mate you help oh yeah and when Christians. Have a good home and they bring that home to the church you have a good church. Wow that was powerful hat. I’m going to make a help meet that means an aid someone that stands by someone that contributes all right not only sex but everything that is needed. First Timothy 5:14 I would that the younger women marry is repeated in the New Testament just want to let you know God didn’t end it in Genesis I want though younger women to marry guess what he wants to younger men to do.
▶ 36:40 Mary yeah. Bear children now men can’t bear children but they are the one that gives it life all right they conceive children and guide the house you’ve always say in America I’m the head of the house men are the head of the house Bible never says man’s the head of the house you say what do you kidding me yeah if I show me. The Bible says the man’s the head of the woman. And the woman is the manager of the house that’s her job why the man’s are working in the field I got some business going on or like the virtuous woman her husband was a nobleman and he had the judge and he was working all kinds of hours so somebody has to be what taking care of that family.
▶ 37:42 Amen and so it was the husband job as the top leader to make sure the woman is managing the house right but it’s her job to manage of the house she’s actually the head of the house a widow or widower today or an abandoned spouse must do both. Today you have over fifty percent chance of winding up being alone your spouse will leave you and usually the one that leaves leaves the other one with the kids because they don’t want responsibility they just want satisfaction. And so you got a double job and it’s hard I’ve been there it’s very hard there’s no me time that I mean you just you’re working just like the woman in Proverbs 31 you working late into the night and you got your job to do during the day and ah it’s tough.
Scripture in this part
Genesis 2:18 (NKJV)
And the LORD God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
— Genesis 2:18 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 32:371 Timothy 5:14 (NKJV)
Therefore I desire that the younger widows marry, bear children, manage the house, give no opportunity to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
— 1 Timothy 5:14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 35:36What do real Christians value?
Short answer: Children from conception, the male-female marriage, the family they work to provide for, and the church and community. Christianity is responsibility and accountability. Love your neighbor as yourself; do unto others. Ecclesiastes 4:9–10: two are better than one; if one falls, the other lifts him up—back into responsibility.
▶ 38:49 That’s why a unified help in the home makes it much more efficient and much more rewarding can I hear an amen and we bring that to the church you have a good church because what you have a good home. Amen. And so the ministry of help starts at home. Anyone may have faith. Anybody everybody’s got faith they’re persuaded of something but real Christians value they put a value on things the Bible says to put a value on number one children at conception and they assume the responsibility to help that child to grow up to a responsible adult is that an amen.
▶ 39:55 Don’t pass it off to the government don’t pass them off to the help groups it’s your responsibility and children love their biological parents it’s just ingrained in them they want them. Real Christians value the male-female marriage is that an amen. Alright and they take responsibility to be loyal to that marriage. This is what christianity is christianity is responsibility. Accountability for my actions my words.
▶ 40:40 Real Christians value the family and they accept the responsibility to work to provide for it and everywhere I go I make the statement where I’m in south America africa asia here in America I say everywhere I go Christians work why because the Bible says Christians work and the reason they work is they value the marriage they value the children they value what God says the value and so they put their time and their energy into what they see is the is the most important thing in their life amen when your car is the most important thing you shine it you spend time with it every week you don’t want anybody leaning on it yeah boy that that’s your priority man you just owe you idolize that thing.
▶ 41:37 Well a Christian does that with the family with children amen. They put the time into it they put the care into it they protect that family that’s what real christianity is it isn’t the tongues and miracles and prophecies we need that to build the church but the real key to a good church is good families and that means we contribute we help one another we assist one another. They value the church they value the community they live in and they accept the duty the responsibility to help make the church good and the community good is that an amen that’s a real Christian anybody can quote John three sixteen.
▶ 42:31 Anybody can join a catholic church they’ll take anybody about this church they’ll take anybody pentecostals they’ll take anybody [unclear] to speak in tongues they just want members. Are you there but a real Bible Christian will put the value where God said to put the value they will be contributors in the home they will solve their own problems they will solve the family’s problems they will not burden the church and when they come to the church the church is good because the family is good that’s what a good church is not the ability of your preacher to speak eloquently and it’s not the numbers in the church it is the families lining up to the Bible that’s what makes a church good love your neighbor as yourself.
▶ 43:26 Here it is love is the more excellent way the superior way see when I love my wife when I love my children I’ll do nothing to harm them I won’t abandon them I won’t go running off do unto others as you would have them do unto you if you were a child you would not want your daddy abandoning you and even the home for some other woman or your mother abandon you and leaving the home for some other man you would not want that so you don’t do that to your children you stick through it you hang in there why because real Bible Christians value what God says the value love takes responsibility for oneself their family and they hold others accountable to do the same in Ecclesiastes 4:9 two are better than one because they have a good reward for their labor ministry of helps.
▶ 44:27 It takes work church. To make good Christians it takes work and if they fall the one will lift up his fellow. Not oh you’re down here let me feed you here let me wash you know you’re going to get hey get up get back into being responsible be responsible let me help you be responsible.

About this transcript
This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added from the speaker’s pauses and then corrected by hand, and obvious caption errors (names, Bible references) were fixed; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor notes: Several phrases not clear. Points to check: “7,000 saved at two different times” (Acts 2:41 and 4:4 give 3,000 and 5,000); 15,000 at the feeding; wise men travelling two years; angels without wings; his citing 1 Corinthians 9:14 for preaching without charge (9:18); “over fifty percent chance” of ending up alone; leading almost 1,100 people to Christ (personal). Sensitive content kept as spoken: the New Testament church never helping unbelievers, the woman as manager/“head” of the house, marriage for sexual desire, prosperity preachers, homosexuals.
