Guilty but Innocent— July 12, 2020: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
Pastor David G. Kincer looks at Absalom, who promised justice without authority and stole Israel’s hearts. He compares this to today’s “new tolerance” and false justice that makes evil equal with good. True justice is impartial and punishes evildoers. America is in a war of good and evil, but Jesus will establish justice, and informed believers must do their part.
What did Absalom promise?
Short answer: Oh that I were judge, that every man might come to me and I would give him justice; so he stole the hearts of the people.
▶ 0:10 From outside industries Sunday morning service on this beautiful day we’re delighted that you’ve joined us turn to your justin aber tell them God is good dougies is fun too. And look what we did to worship I’m gonna start off with the scripture reading the Bible tells us Romans 1:18 for the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth by jodeci John 17:17 God’s word is truth however. Surely we can go our own way we can follow our own sinful desires when we can choose to live like. Bobby’s roll Romans 6:23 for the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord Jesus if you only want to forgive us of our sins God limited standing in wrong Jesus Christ was perfect he was without sin deep it may be single across through him we could live free live a righteous life.
▶ 1:27 Bible tells us in John 3:16 provide some his only begotten son whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus Christ really loves us and he will not force his love honest truth. Your turn love money he gives us just enough freedom to walk away enough to say Lord I love you I wanna accept your love and accept your gift. Because there is no.
▶ 3:38 You Jesus Christ. That’s how.
▶ 14:24 You are. Good morning everyone.
▶ 15:45 Today we’re gonna take a look again at 2nd Samuel chapter 15 verses 4 through 6 and we’re gonna deal with the subject of being guilty why you are innocent. Guilty but innocent how can that be if you remember. Absalom. Conspired against his father David the king of Israel and one of the things he used to get the people to follow him as he told them I will give all of you who come to me justice. Now how is it possible to give justice to everyone that comes to you unless you are. Having a blinded eye to what crime and sin it you cannot approve of crime and sin so we’re gonna deal with that today how.
▶ 16:52 Can we give everyone justice. We read on in 2nd Samuel. Before I go to that in our day I want to bring it up to our day both democrats and many republicans are trying to please all behavior choices. Whether they are good or they are bad weather in between everbody is innocent they’re not guilty they call it the new tolerance if you believe you’re right you are right.
Scripture in this part
2 Samuel 15:4-6 (NKJV)
Moreover Absalom would say, “Oh, that I were made judge in the land, and everyone who has any suit or cause would come to me; then I would give him justice.” And so it was, whenever anyone came near to bow down to him, that he would put out his hand and take him and kiss him. In this manner Absalom acted toward all Israel who came to the king for judgment. So Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.
— 2 Samuel 15:4-6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 15:45What is the new tolerance?
Short answer: He calls it decades old and entrenched in the Democratic Party; he criticizes politicians and pastors kneeling to it.
▶ 17:36 Ok this new tolerance has been around for several decades it is deeply entrenched into the democratic party and it is also in the republican party so what I’m trying to tell you is we’re living today in a season like epsilon was in second Samuel 15 for so continuing in second Samuel 15 when anyone bowed to Absalom he put out his hand and they embrace they kiss what has happened in America today they want us to kneel to their demands I see photos of the fbi kneeling two. Minority.
▶ 18:30 Protests I see politicians kneeling I see. Pastors kneeling. To a philosophy and a doctrine that is not right the embrace the embrace of what is wrong. So again this identifies with today. As we follow on in this manner the Bible says Absalom acted toward all Israel who came to the king for judgment they actually were coming to king David for judgment but Absalom would meet them at the gate and tell him he could judge and he would give everyone justice he would be fair to everyone I don’t care who you are a thief an adulterer or whatever he’s going to give you the verdict you’re looking for so he stole the hearts of the people of Israel are you with me so far exactly what’s going on today and has been going on for quite a few decades.
Did Absalom have authority to judge?
Short answer: No, he took it on himself — like a judge who voided Californians’ vote.
▶ 19:43 The truth is Absalom had no authority to judge he took that on himself just like the judge who. Voided the californians proposition 108 that marriage is between a man and a woman the people voted and passed and one homosexual judge. Decided this is against the law so he made his own law see we’re living in that kind of generation that kind of time he had no authority to make laws. He had no authority to change word definitions. The word gay used to mean you’re happy now it means you are in the same sex activity you see and I can go on and on the same thing is happening today we change wording welfare today means the government gives you subsidies gives you money to live on because you messed up somewhere in life and we feel sorry for you we can’t blame you we have to blame your parents or society so we give you money but when you look up nor webster’s dictionary when our constitution was written.
▶ 21:09 Welfare didn’t mean that welfare meant happiness it meant the absence of evil and harm exactly what it meant and so you see they change word definitions and as time goes by people accept the new word definitions but he had no authority to do that God made the laws God chose the king Absalom had no authority to do this. With Absalom went 200 men. Invited from Jerusalem now Jerusalem is where David’s throne was. Jerusalem is where David ruled from Jerusalem is where his army with a station. And so when these 200 men went with Absalom who said to David and to the people I’m going to I made a vow to God I’m going to fulfill that vow he wasn’t going to do anything with God there was no spirit interest at all he was going to hebron to overthrow David.
▶ 22:23 There were 200 of them we don’t know how many others outside of Jerusalem went with Absalom we don’t know the Bible doesn’t tell us but we have these 200. They went along innocently and did not know anything. See they didn’t know about the conspiracy to overthrow and destroy the government and they went along with it and this is where. Guilty but innocent comes in. They didn’t know anything they were uninformed they didn’t find out what was going on they had lack of knowledge of what was taking place at that time and so.
Are Christians informed?
Short answer: Many are uninformed and join the opposition.
▶ 23:19 Many Americans especially Christians are very uninformed today and they are joining something. They are getting involved with something and they don’t mean to be on the wrong side but because of lack of knowledge they are. This conspiracy was strong. For the people increase continually with Absalom. Conspiracy is a secret plan by a group of people to destroy a government a family a community and it’s secret until the time comes where they can make it public.
▶ 24:12 So. Let’s talk about how. Can we give everybody. Justice how can that be done and it still be justice it still be right. Remember today. The black ice matters and other groups have a secret plan to destroy our constitutional government. Now it’s not a secret anymore they have just come out and said what they’re trying to do and so has the American socialist party for the last 15 years they’ve just come out and just openly it’s declared what they’re trying to do it’s not a secret anymore and so we’re dealing in America right now with people that are trying to destroy our constitutional government and many.
▶ 25:14 Christians are so uninformed they join the side of the opposition and you got to remember marxist and socialists in their manifestos and in their platforms want to get rid of the Bible get rid of Jesus and Christians it’s right there plain english if people would read their manifestos and their platforms. So how can justice be given to all. We see on the left the justice balance evil equal good that’s the new tolerance whatever you believe is right is right whatever you believe is truth is truth.
What is false justice?
Short answer: Making evil equal with good; justice finds those who harm themselves and others guilty.
▶ 26:07 So evil is equal with good. That is a false justice balance evil is a burden you carry that good people don’t carry and that is a weight that gets you unbalanced with good can I hear an amen over on the right you see the proper balance if you are evil harmful evil means to do harm you are guilty of that harm you are guilty of that behavior if you are good you are innocent you are not guilty of bad behavior so we go to the scriptures in first Peter 2:13. Submit. To authorities sent by the Lord to punish evildoers and to praise him that do well to punish evildoers and to praise him that do well this is how you can bring justice to everyone when you.
▶ 27:22 Find. People that do harm to themselves and others guilty that is justice that’s a just decision and when you honor and praise innocent people that are not guilty that is justice can I hear an amen. So. In our declaration of independence. We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal and that all men are endowed by their creator. Jesus Christ with certain inalienable. Unchangeable undeniable rights you can’t take these rights away from people and they are life.
What should government do?
Short answer: Establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, secure liberty.
▶ 28:17 Liberty and the pursuit of happiness this is how local judges. District judges supreme court justice and the high court justices should be deciding things does this give people life does this give people freedom to do right and does this bring happiness to the citizens of America not what their political parties want them to vote for. In the constitution the preamble we the people of the united states in order to form a more perfect union. Establish justice. Insure domestic tranquility or peace.
▶ 29:14 Promote the general welfare. Have an army a military a strong defense and ensure the blessings of liberty. To all Americans present time and down the road our prosperity prosperity. Now. These same words and the declaration of independence are in the preamble to the constitution but our opponents say that the declaration of independence has nothing to do with the constitution when we use it for life but how can you have domestic peace.
▶ 30:07 Community peace state peace yeah. National peace if you’re taking life it’s all about protecting the lives of the people welfare again as I said in noir webster’s dictionary welfare simply meant happiness. You are free from harm your pre free from evil and so and then the word liberty is in both of them and so in the preamble to the constitution they built on and expanded the definition of the declaration of independence. Everybody has a right to life can I hear an amen everybody has a right to happiness amen be free from evil harmful people in your community everybody has a right to justice and now right there are real justice not man maids ideal of justice and this nation must protect us.
▶ 31:17 By building a strong defense of a military is that an amen it’s right in the Constitution that’s right in the Bible these are just simple things and if we’re going to stay a nation we must stay unified is that an amen a unified around these foundational documents that America was founded on and they give acknowledgement to the creator Jesus Christ all of them at that time understood that Jesus Christ John 1:1 created all things that he was gone they weren’t embracing buddha allah or anybody else they were embracing the Bible God that’s the one they knew about correct now justice.
What is justice?
Short answer: Doing what is fair and right, being impartial, and penalizing evildoers so they learn.
▶ 32:12 Is. Doing what is fair doing what is right not. Being impartial or not being partial being impartial. With your behavior fair behavior right behavior impartial behavior and treatment now here we go. If I’m gonna give justice to all I have got to be fair right and impartial I have got to punish the evildoer is that correct justice and what’s the purpose of punishment to correct the persons from do it that are doing wrong to correct them so that they do right to correct them so they stop hurting people is that any men yes.
▶ 33:09 The treatment so you have to find penalize in some way evildoers so that they learn to behave right. Families have to do this with their children communities have to do this with all the deven diverse household there has to be correction which we don’t have in America anymore they can steal and if it’s below 14,000 or so dollars they don’t they have there’s no punishment for it I found that out when they stole one of our mules here at the church. And they don’t go to arrest anyone they wouldn’t arrest the people when we found them with our mill. Because of some law as you see at the bottom of the screen a kingdom or a house divided in itself cannot stand and America.
▶ 34:11 Is being pulled apart. By. People in the democratic party that are evil and people in the republican party that are evil. America is being divided and if we don’t come together on some common ground our nation is going to be destroyed and that’s exactly what the marxist and the socialists want is that an amen they want to destroy this great nation. The Bible says in Proverbs 20 verse 26 that a wise king. Winnows out the wicked. He drives the threshing wheel over them wheat was brought in to the barn and they would put a threshing pin over it or beat him so that they separated the chaff they wasteful product from the real grain the wheat then they would throw it up in the air and the chaff would be blown away and so Proverbs uses that you’ve got to separate the bad stuff from the good can I hear an amen so you know why as ruler does that he doesn’t honor bad people and bad behavior.
What war is America in?
Short answer: The same war as Absalom’s — a war of good and evil.
▶ 35:43 This war that we have in America right now is the same war that they had in Samuel and the story of Absalom it’s a it’s a war between good and evil Absalom was evil David was good but David had just been caught doing something wrong. Committing adultery and killing an innocent man and so. Absalom and people thought they had an opportunity to attack David and and and remove David from government but God didn’t remove David from government he just discipline David corrected David and the war today is between good and evil it’s not between democrats and republicans it’s between the evil people and the good people in both parties it’s not a war between conservatism and liberals it’s a war between bad people that are conservatives and bad people that are and good or bad people that are liberals it’s not a war between capitalism and socialism again it’s the war between evil people that want to promote socialism and marxism versus.
▶ 37:11 Capitalism or good people that want to have free enterprise are we here see and because it’s a war of good and evil we have to fight it with the weapons of good neither no we can’t just go around patting each other on the back because you know we’re conservative and we’re talking with conservatives and we all agree and we’re over here we’re liberals and we’re talking with liberals all okay we got to get down to what is going to unite this nation again. And it is deciding what’s really right and what’s really wrong and bringing justice to evil people to correct them and praising good people to bless them amen. So.
Will Jesus fail?
Short answer: Behold My Servant; He will not fail till He has established justice in the earth.
▶ 38:05 In Isaiah 42:1 as the musicians come. Isaiah 42:1. They hold my servant. That’s Jesus God saying my servant Jesus whom I uphold my elect my chosen one in whom are so delights I have put my spirit upon him Jesus. He Jesus will bring forth justice to the nation’s. He Jesus will what bring forth justice to the nation’s all the people all the government all the nation people ruled by governments he will not fail.
▶ 39:05 We’re gonna be singing the mountains shake before him. Jesus cannot fail did you hear that. Okay get that out of your thinking stop looking at the world situation and thinking that we’re losing the battle thinking that this thing is failing God says Jesus will not fail nor would he be discouraged so I asked you today church here and church out there in facebook land is Jesus discouraged today about what’s going on in America no the scripture says he’s not discouraged he’s in control he knows when what and how to solve this problem can I hear an amen yeah he isn’t discouraged yeah yes.
▶ 40:00 Is he failing no. No he wasn’t failing with was was God failing when Jesus was rejected while he was here on earth beaten and crucified was he failing no because after the crucifixion on the third day his plan was to what raise him up and bring the whole world into the kingdom of God what looked like a failure God was using for a success. Amen we can’t get discouraged Jesus isn’t discouraged so we shouldn’t be discouraged hallelujah. Jesus head isn’t failing so we got to stop looking at America’s failing and we are failures amen God has a plan he has a promise he has a prediction and he’s going to fulfill it he.
▶ 41:01 Till he has established justice in the earth just as we’re in the earth now and how is he going to do that through people. So we got to get active we got to get out of to throw off our garment of discouragement. And get on our garment of encouragement amen we got to get out of this mentality of failure and get into God’s mentality of success if we keep following him and preaching the word and living right he promised us justice in the earth not rapturing us out of the problem but bringing justice to us in the problem he’s at an amen absolutely God is bigger than the revoking party he’s bigger than the democratic party he’s bigger than the supreme court justices God is bigger than these people in America and he can change things at this snap of his finger because he is the Lord Jesus and he is the king of all kings amen.
Scripture in this part
Isaiah 42:1-4 (NKJV)
“Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles. He will not cry out, nor raise His voice, Nor cause His voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed He will not break, And smoking flax He will not quench; He will bring forth justice for truth. He will not fail nor be discouraged, Till He has established justice in the earth; And the coastlands shall wait for His law.”
— Isaiah 42:1-4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 38:05What is our part?
Short answer: Be informed and use it, because He has chosen us to carry the message.
▶ 42:18 But we have got to be informed and we’ve got to use that information to do our part because he’s chosen us to get the message of right and truth out to the basin’s is that an amen hallelujah we can’t be afraid to teach about sin we can’t be afraid to preach about crying we can’t be afraid to say that justice needs to be done in the earth punish the wrongdoer and bless the good door stop this new tolerance stop trying to please everybody in their behavior and let’s get it down to what will unite us you’re either bad or you either good you’re either doing good to people and yourself or you are hurting people and yourself and if you are hurting people and yourself then we’ve got to do something because we have a just judgment in America amen.
Isn’t prayer enough?
Short answer: Old-timers have prayed for 40 years; he recalls Washington for Jesus rallies.
▶ 43:20 Hallelujah. People I talked to. Say we got to pray about it I said what do you think us old-timers have been doing for 40 years we’ve been praying for change in America and we didn’t just pray for change in America when we saw the the destruction coming we went to. Washington for Jesus in 1980 400 over 400,000 people gathered in washington for Jesus for right and wrong promoting right and exposing wrong amen we did something back there there were coalition’s raised up the eagle forum by phyllis shelleyan and the operation rescue and and moral majority and you know pat robinson of 700 club ran for president in 1980.
▶ 44:19 Until his contributors told him if you don’t stop running or to take away our contribution and he decided to stay on tv and get the contributions and he was doing good I was there I lived at that time I was there when the moral majority rose up in America in the eighties and we went to those rallies us old-timers went to those rallies we prayed at those rallies we prayed before those rallies we did something in our generation we did it but then jerry falwell who headed it up when the homosexuals put a lot of pressure on him he caved in. Operation rescue leader he caved in all these leaders caved in we didn’t have leaders that could stand the fight that could stand the opposition they buckled either for a reason of money of a reason of lust or whatever.
▶ 45:19 They buckled and these washington for Jesus rallies went on until 1988 and we were losing the battle [unclear] Pat Buchanan ran for president a Christian man both of these guys robinson and buchanan came very close to being a candidate but they buckled and then the church people went to sleep I. Submit to you in this generation we need to rise up and put our actions behind we need to speak the truth of God’s gospel to the world whether they like it or not we need to speak it to our our children we need to speak it to our family the Bible says in Isaiah arise shine for thy light has come darkness has covered the earth and gross darkness upon the people but my glory and my light is upon you and nations and people will come to your light and kings rulers will come to your light and I will bring your children from afar back to the light and I don’t know about you but I know a lot of older parents whose children have on a stray and we want a change we’ve got to believe God’s word not what’s going on in America can I hear an amen and if you’re waiting for a great persecution to come listen I.
Is the pandemic a sign of the end?
Short answer: People say so, but he urges doing our part, not giving up.
▶ 46:51 Talk to people all the time there’s two things they say well this is the end time the pandemic is a sign of the end times I said you’ve got to be kidding me. That’s how you justify not rising up and preaching the gospel or they will say well it takes persecution bring it on Lord persecute us more Jesus said in this world you will have what persecution get off of it Bible says that they who live godly will suffer what persecution if we speak what is right and we live what is right the normal reaction of wrong people is to mistreat us so get off of that hobbyhorse amen we don’t need any more persecution we need liberation we need to believe that Jesus Christ can establish justice for our home justice for our community justice for our state of california justice for our nation and justice for the nations of the world he promised it he has the power and authority to do it and we need to rise up and preach his gospel so he can do those signs and wonders and bring this thing to pass I.
▶ 48:10 Gave you my best shot. Christian just want to come and sing a song in service here another nice bell ring and message and go home watch tv and not get involved they just want to pray about or they want to believe that in the last times difficult times will come that’s days difficult time this is just part of what’s happening listen we just saw in the scriptures that Jesus came to bring justice in the middle of injustice. Amen. Hallelujah but we need to seek him we need to pray and we’re going to pray this morning we’re gonna open up with this song I don’t want to be near near to your heart and during this part of the song we want to pray for.
▶ 49:09 God to bring justice we want to pray for God to bring our children from afar we want to pray to God to bring the people to the light of his gospel in Jesus Christ to bring rulers to the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ we want to pray see the opposition knows that when God’s people get together to pray and worship worship brings its presence worship the Bible says I surround you with songs of deliverance they don’t want us singing why because it brings supernatural deliverance from God it brings instruction from God we teach one another with Psalms hymns and spiritual songs they don’t want us come on folks they don’t want us assembling together and doing anything they don’t want to speaking out there they call it hate speech and now they don’t even want us doing it inside the walls of the church are you here this is the season we’re living in but we have a Jesus who is in control of everything and we need to say Lord here I am use me could that be an amen use my mouth use me I’m going to pray well they like it or not I’m gonna worship will they like it or not I’m gonna cymbal dial they like it or not.
▶ 50:29 Because we’re two or three of people are gathered together God is in there miss they don’t like that. Hallelujah. We’re gonna pray we’re gonna take two or three minutes to pray and let’s stand and change our position to pray we can pray right where you are but let’s begin to lift up our voice as they think. We. You know.
▶ 53:23 We are. Yeah. Now. Right. Now. What we heard. Find out the script the deep run plea for him be presenting.
▶ 54:22 And then that either cannot touch the Christian because Jesus is strong in our house don’t give me this analogy stop giving Christ ecology stop Jesus the key to keeping the Lord Lord he had all power in heaven and earth. Oh. In fact what you think. Third person ever going to see. I like to talk about the first person to me is way more powerful than my school.
▶ 55:19 So let’s sing it and let’s make approximates of the world family to our nation that God is the light. We
▶ 59:19 thank you. Powerless with your and to carry out your mission together or did you put your word in the house we put it in our mind they’re just gonna send you inscribe it in our mind yourwork truth and nothing can erase evidence to describe its yes it can’t be removed Lord we thank you today there pr ventures for this difficult time since dark night and that answer is guilty this price and the gospel that he arrested rips a large are looking forward to a great time a great kid we’re looking forward to see you do what everybody in America given up.
