God's Pleasure in the Death and Seed of Jesus 09/24/2017: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
Pastor David G. Kincer teaches Isaiah 53:9–10: Jesus’ grave with the wicked and the rich, his innocence, and why it pleased God to bruise him—to see his seed. He discusses biblical hate as dislike, identifies the seed as the children of promise and the remnant who keep God’s commandments, presents Christ as the one seed, and traces church history from the former house through the falling away and restoration to the coming latter glory.
What has the series shown so far?
Short answer: Isaiah 49:6: restoring God’s people is easy; Jesus sits at God’s right hand through the day of wrath until his enemies are his footstool. He calls the seven-year tribulation nonsense and teaches one more coming of Christ.
▶ 0:00 Isaiah 49:6 is too easy for you Jesus to restore God’s people I’ll give you all the nations all the unbelievers I’m going to do that and it’s easy for me to restore my people amen yeah so is it easy for God to forgive his people of the unpardonable sin absolutely that’s easy it’s the nations that seemed to add a little difficulty and he said I’m gonna give you all of them isn’t that powerful you were once an unbeliever weren’t you yeah. Now so the bottom line is if you backslidden or you messed up just remember it’s easy for God to restore you get up and get going can that be an amen yes now God said to Jesus you sit right here at my right hand during the day of wrath and you sit right here at my right hand till I make all enemies my footstool so where is Jesus gonna be till all enemies is gonna be his footstool at the right hand of the father he ain’t coming [unclear] two returns of Christ [unclear].
Scripture in this part
Isaiah 49:6 (NKJV)
Indeed He says, ‘It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob, And to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles, That You should be My salvation to the ends of the earth.’ ”

The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”
— Psalm 110:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:54 (quoted; reference not named in the message)How will Jesus receive the nations?
Short answer: By the church in unity—make them one that the world may believe—and by all nations seeing the marred, post-crucified Christ.
▶ 1:13 He stays right up there at the right hand of God during the day of wrath all the seven-year tribulation nonsense where is Jesus [unclear] no matter how long it lasts where is Jesus at the right hand of the father he didn’t come and snatch you out. All right the last enemy is death and when is the last enemy destroyed at the white throne judgment that’s the second coming that’s when Christ comes one coming one more coming I should say no. ask of me God says Jesus ask of me and I’ll give you the nation’s for your inheritance hallelujah aren’t you glad that God fulfilled that in your life [unclear] now and so Jesus over in the New Testament he asked the father to give him the nation’s but he put a criteria on it by way of what.
▶ 2:11 Unity. The church he said father make them one as you and I are one that the world may [unclear] believe and know that you have sent me and love them as you have loved me is the church in unity no way how can he come how can he come this is not been fulfilled are you there. All nations shall see my marred servant that’s the post crucified Christ that was beaten to a pulp with fists beard pulled out thorns on his head beaten with stripes till he was like hamburger meat he said all nations all nations were not discovered till the late 1700s.
▶ 3:07 This is a prophetic word that God is going to do something and the last days and they’re going to see his post crucified Christ. The marred Christ not too handsome bearded Christ that we all see they’re gonna see the tortured Christ and they’re gonna rethink and consider see now. We saw that Jesus appeared many times before he came to earth. After he ascended from the grave and after he rose from the grave and after he ascended to heaven he appeared. can he appear today absolutely he’s God he can do anything you want some of us need a little appearing to shake us up.
Scripture in this part
Psalm 2:8 (NKJV)
Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
— Psalm 2:8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:52 (quoted; reference not named in the message)John 17:21 (NKJV)
that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
— John 17:21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 2:15 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Isaiah 52:14 (NKJV)
Just as many were astonished at you, So His visage was marred more than any man, And His form more than the sons of men;
— Isaiah 52:14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 2:45 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Can Jesus heal sins as well as bodies?
Short answer: Yes—healed of alcoholism or sexual immorality, it no longer controls you. He says Christians who allow marijuana and liquor haven’t understood God’s deliverance.
▶ 4:03 And he’s going to appear as the marred the post crucified Christ the ugly one the beaten one. And he will do it with signs and miracles and the righteous sons of God nothing gets people’s attention like you changing your life around no you’re epistles known and read of all men you just say I’m a believer and then you live the way you want [unclear] for the world but when they see God changing your life they see God no there now he says my servant shall heal all sicknesses and transgressions can he heal physical bodies [unclear] can he heal stealing lying Sexual immorality can he heal him yes if I’m healed of cancer cancer no more has control or influence on my life isn’t that true see I’m not under its bondage anymore so if I’m healed of being an alcoholic or a sexual immorality person that area has what no more influence or control in my life hallelujah and these Christians say you can smoke marijuana which is an intoxicating plant and drink liquor which is an intoxicating
What do Isaiah 53:9–10 show?
Short answer: That it pleased God to bruise and even kill Jesus, because he delights in seeing his seed. Acts 28:25: the Holy Spirit spoke through Isaiah.
▶ 5:22 Drink. They haven’t understood. That God delivers you from the influence and the control of this stuff that he says is wrong can I hear an amen no yeah now also we found last week the generation to praise him and proclaim his mighty Acts is the church there’s a generation which will be created that shall praise the Lord you’re that generation are you praising God are you just standing there every Sunday [unclear] get done with this. See there’s something better Jesus said than hearing the word and what is it doing it yeah doing it now that brings us to today we’re going to continue in Isaiah 53:9 and 10 and we’re going to see that it pleases God to hurt and even kill Jesus and to see a seed God delights in Jesus being beaten crown of thorns put on his head God delighted in it.
▶ 6:33 Nailed to that cross God was up there doing a dance go on get him boy yeah alright this is good. In that what it says remember what does the scripture say not what you think it said but what does the scripture say God delighted in Jesus he took pleasure and Jesus dying on that cross and being beaten why. because he delights in seeing his seed. Alleluia. Now. Before we get into this verse you got to understand something now pay attention all right in Acts 28:25 the Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers who was doing the speaking in Isaiah the Holy Spirit don’t you believe these people [unclear] the Bible is just written by men [unclear] was written by the Holy Ghost through men there’s a big difference in that an amen so when we go to Isaiah you got to understand the spirits talking and when we go to this scripture you got to understand he’s talking in the third person.
Scripture in this part
Acts 28:25 (NKJV)
So when they did not agree among themselves, they departed after Paul had said one word: “The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers,
— Acts 28:25 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:15How was “his grave with the wicked and with the rich” fulfilled?
Short answer: He was crucified with thieves and buried in the tomb of a rich disciple, Joseph of Arimathea. A disciple follows Christ’s teachings, not merely believes.
▶ 7:45 Got it now. anytime you see green it’s God anytime you see this underlined it’s Jesus and who’s doing the talking. The Holy Spirit who’s doing the talking Holy Spirit’s doing the talking and he’s talking in the third person and he’s saying he God made his Jesus grave with the wicked. that’s the crucifixion with the thieves did that was that fulfilled yes God made his grave with the wicked God had this plan God ordained this God was involved in getting this done and with the rich in his death where was he buried in a rich man [unclear] a disciple of Christ Joseph of Arimathea was the disciple of Christ and the Bible says he was rich but the rich can’t make it into heaven.
▶ 8:46 That ain’t what that scripture says it says the rich have a hard time there were many rich people in the Bible that serve God and Joseph was a [unclear] disciple of Christ not a believer there’s a difference do you understand the difference a believer can believe in Christ and do what he wants believe anything he wants a disciple not only believes but he follows the teachings of Christ and this rich man Joseph followed the teachings of Christ he disciplined himself how many could use a little spiritual discipline in your life the rest of you’re lying. Man. I’m amazed at how easy it is for God’s people [unclear] how many could use a little discipline of spiritual discipline yeah you may not want it but you need it.
Scripture in this part
Isaiah 53:9 (NKJV)
And they made His grave with the wicked— But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth.
— Isaiah 53:9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:09 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Matthew 27:57-60 (NKJV)
Now when evening had come, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself had also become a disciple of Jesus. This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given to him. When Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his new tomb which he had hewn out of the rock; and he rolled a large stone against the door of the tomb, and departed.
— Matthew 27:57-60 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:37 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does “he had done no violence” teach?
Short answer: Jesus harmed no one and never lied. He sets this beside Leviticus 19:17 and explains hate from a Bible perspective.
▶ 9:41 And so in his death he was buried in the rich man’s tomb yet he had done no violence neither deceit was in his mouth all right he done no violence he didn’t hurt anybody. Didn’t do anything to harm people no deceit was in his mouth he never lied to us did he. Yeah. Yeah now listen in Leviticus 19:17 it says that we can’t hate our neighbor in that right how many heard this word hate for the last five years on the news all the time okay I’m gonna explain hate to you all right from a Bible perspective you got it.
Scripture in this part
Leviticus 19:17 (NKJV)
‘You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.
— Leviticus 19:17 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 10:13What is biblical hate?
Short answer: Your neighbor is the one who shows mercy. God hates seven things—a lying tongue, a proud look, one who sows division; hate means dislike. He says liberals, Democrats, socialists, homosexual activists, evolutionists and atheists have redefined words.
▶ 10:37 Now Jesus explained who our neighbor was can anybody tell me the Bible definition of a neighbor yes ma’am the one who showed mercy. Not just the ones that are close by you neighbors those are close by you but the Bible gives definitions of words and Jesus plainly said your neighbors are those who are kind to you they treat you right and you don’t do anything to hurt those kind of people now. How many we know in Proverbs. God says I hate seven things. God hates. Dislikes. The word hate is dislike even to an emotional feeling you dislike something or someone God dislikes God hates seven things is God wrong is he a sinner no.
▶ 11:40 You see the liberals the democrats the socialists the homosexual activists the evolutionists and the atheists have all grouped together to redefine words in America. And. Americans are just buying it. Hate is not a bad thing when it’s used properly he hates a lying tongue now who doing the lying a person in it so he hates the person that’s lying he hates the proud look thinking you’re better than everybody else so who’s doing the proud look a person and now right. he who causes division among the brethren are there groups dividing America today absolutely and they’re using this word hate to do it.
Scripture in this part
Luke 10:36-37 (NKJV)
So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?” And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”
— Luke 10:36-37 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 10:47 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Proverbs 6:16-19 (NKJV)
These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.
— Proverbs 6:16-19 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 11:19 (quoted; reference not named in the message)May Christians dislike wrong?
Short answer: Yes: he dislikes NFL players kneeling and won’t watch; Trump and Obama both have free speech; churches deserved hurricane aid too. He says it is okay to hate homosexuality and pass laws making it illegal, but not to drag and kill people; Jesus drove out the money changers.
▶ 12:44 Now Jesus hated sinners that are sinning because they hurt themselves and they hurt other people. He hates these things seven things he hates all right and he’s not wrong [unclear] we should hate immorality but Jesus didn’t do any violence to anybody did he but he’s going to one day [unclear] the lake of fire is about as violent as you can get you see but he came into the world to what save the world the next time he’s coming he’s coming to judge the world. You got it hating something you see I dislike these football players kneeling during the national anthem and disrespecting our flag and our national anthem.
▶ 13:37 I. Dislike that and I have a right in America to say I don’t approve of that in fact I’m not gonna watch NFL I didn’t last year nor am I going to this year if they’re that arrogant I have freedom of speech also and I can say I don’t like it and I’m not going to get involved in your entertainment. Amen do I have freedom of speech yes does Donald Trump have freedom of speech [unclear] but they make it out like only they got freedom of speech [unclear] NFL players can speak out and do something to express their their differences well our president has freedom of speech but see they attack they attacked the person instead of respecting freedom of speech did Obama have freedom of speech did he say a lot of things you didn’t like but did he have freedom in America to say absolutely.
▶ 14:40 I’m a Christian and I don’t like the way they’re treating the church in the latest hurricanes everybody got aid but the churches. Separation of church and state folks we are part of America we are Christians churches [unclear] called out ones we pay to have a building so we can meet if people are getting aid from government and in our neighborhood and they’re American citizens we as Christians and church people should get aid also can I hear an amen and that’s the hypocrisy of all that. Separation church and state not going to help you build your church we’re not gonna help you guys and all we’re gonna help all the unbelievers are. You hearing me see they take the word hate and they say the Bible is a hate book and preachers who preach the Bible are hate preachers.
▶ 15:38 And God said he hates are we to hate what God hates dislike say the word dislike yeah you need to learn to dislike what’s wrong things that are hurting people and the American church is just wallowing in the [unclear] political correctness of this generation when we need to get into the Bible correctness is that any men it’s okay to hate homosexuality it’s not good to drag them and kill them and all that but it’s okay to hate it and it’s okay to try to pass laws that make it illegal because they are influencing your children to be what they are in the public schools and in the community and you should be mad at it you should dislike it. Did Jesus go in and beat the tar out of these people in the temple that were selling.
Scripture in this part
John 2:15 (NKJV)
When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers’ money and overturned the tables.
— John 2:15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:39 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Is dislike punished in the Bible?
Short answer: No—his atheist brother disliked Christians, Black people and Mexicans but hurt no one. The desire to commit adultery wasn’t punished; the act was. Hate was punished when it turned to violence.
▶ 16:40 The sacrifices so they could make money did he go in and drive them out use the whip yeah to use the whip Christians there’s a place to dislike something to to the level to where it causes you to respond and act to try to change it. Amen. All right he made his grave with the wicked with the rich in his death yet he had done no violence now atheists hate Christians I had a brother that was an atheist he hated Christians he hated blacks he hated Mexicans and I married one. [unclear] two thumbs up for you. he disliked them but he never did anything to hurt them and so he [unclear] in his house and on his porch and disliked [unclear] if he doesn’t hurt anybody that’s his constitutional given right in America.
▶ 17:52 isn’t that an amen yeah if he doesn’t want to be a Christian he has a Bible right not to believe in that right. He wants to go to hell that’s his choice. Only violence in the Bible was punished the desire to commit adultery was not punished committing adultery was punished. hating someone the other tribe member or whatever in the Bible was never punished it’s when that hate turned to violence then it was punished. You got that. Hallelujah now.
Who killed Jesus?
Short answer: The Jews and the Romans both did, but the truth is God killed him: it was God’s plan, and God delighted that Jesus carried it out. He prolonged his days and will see his seed.
▶ 18:46 Still it pleased the Lord to bruise him it what pleased it delighted God to bruise him to kill him and put him to grief. you see their argument is did the Jews or the Romans kill Jesus the truth is they did they both killed Jesus but the truth is God killed him. God decided Jesus God in the flesh was going to die on that cross and he was gonna take a horrible beating and he was gonna be deformed more than any man on earth from that beating. God decided that and God was delighted that Jesus carried out his plan. Are you there that settles the argument yes the Jews wanted him killed the Romans and their corrupt government killed him to please the Jews but it was God’s plan that.
▶ 19:52 Had be done so if you want to blame somebody blame God or delight like God did in the death of Christ. All right. now when you shall make his soul see you is green so that’s who God. His is underlined who is that Jesus when you God makes Jesus his soul an offering for sin see the bruising [unclear] put him to death. Your translations say he here. But the context if you’re going to use you in the third person you should have you here. Are you there you understand see a lot of times we just read we don’t take time to figure out who’s talking and what are they saying and I’m trying to help you to understand that today yeah you check your translation they’ll say you and then they go to he to stay in the same thought pattern it’s you and you shall see his seed and his is italicized because it’s not in the Bible it’s there to help you understand and it’s okay but his here is both green and underlined what’s that mean both.
▶ 21:26 Both. Yes can Jesus be both we just read it didn’t we yes he God shall prolong and here’s italics again it’s not in the Bible but it helps you to understand he shall prolong Jesus’s days did God prolong his days did he rise from the grave yeah. Yeah he was seen of many over 500 at one time and he ascended into heaven is he still alive in heaven yeah you talking about prolonging his days that body with God in it is gonna live forever just like you are. Okay and the pleasure what is it pleasure please pleasure the delight of God the Lord shall prosper in his [unclear] now what is the pleasure and the pleasing to bruise and killing and to see his seed.
Scripture in this part
Isaiah 53:10 (NKJV)
Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand.
— Isaiah 53:10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 18:48 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Who is the seed?
Short answer: Those who serve and obey Jesus. Romans 9:8: the children of the flesh are not the children of God; the children of the promise are counted as the seed. You’re a Christian because you responded, not because of your parents or denomination.
▶ 22:31 His seed and there’s two seeds here’s why. This is. Both green and underlined. Now. They that serve and obey Jesus are the seed okay. Just like someone said earlier Romans 9:8 the children of the flesh talking about the Jew you know everybody’s all hyped up about the Jews and the Christians want to you know support the Jews and all that but the Bible says they are not the children of God and what did we read earlier the scriptures say. Amen not what we believe of what the scriptures say the scriptures say that the Jews aren’t the children of God is that a truth why.
▶ 23:32 the scriptures say [unclear] but but but but I know but God never intended to live in a natural temple or in one. Nation his whole plan the mystery of God you need to get my sermons on the mystery of God it really clears up a lot of stuff but the children of the promise are counted for the seed you see the children of the promise are the ones that believe Christ was the messiah died on the cross for their sins accepted that and are following him that’s the children of promise and let me tell you if you think you’re a Christian because your parents were forget it you’re not a Christian because your parents were you’re not a Christian because you’re in a Christian nation you’re not a Christian because you grew up in a Lutheran church or a Methodist church or a Pentecostal church you’re a Christian because you responded.
▶ 24:36 And met the criteria for the promise and circumcision is of the heart not of the flesh by the spirit. isn’t that right and until that’s happened to you you aren’t one. You may be a believer but you’re not a child of God. Are you here now. Psalms 22:30 a seed shall serve him a seed [unclear] serve him they make him Lord of their life folks like [unclear] the spirit moved today in one simple prophetic prayer we got direction of the spirit but what he wanted to say to you today and one simple [unclear] the worship team backed it up.
▶ 25:31 And that’s the job of a worship team is to back up the move of God. Alright remember we are a spirit-filled church we believe in the spirit coming and leading us and guiding us and teaching us and ministering to us we believe that at least your pastor does. And your pastor isn’t changing I had an old Vine person came about 10 years ago maybe 15 now and they’re sitting in the congregation and they just blurted out you haven’t changed a bit right in the middle of my message. And. Then they caught themselves and says that’s a good thing that’s a good thing yeah am I supposed to change because the crowd changes or am I supposed to follow Christ yes.
▶ 26:26 alleluia a seed shall serve him and it be counted to the Lord for a generation what was our topic last week who shall declare his generation a generation shall be created that shall praise the Lord we are that generation I showed you and we are that seed a seed shall serve him these are synonymous terms the generation and the seed the offspring is the seed we’re the offspring of Christ we’re children of God right yes and the generation that shall be created they’re both the same we are the church I could give you a heavy [unclear] here but what time is it I.
Scripture in this part
Romans 9:8 (NKJV)
That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed.
— Romans 9:8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 22:31Psalm 22:30 (NKJV)
A posterity shall serve Him. It will be recounted of the Lord to the next generation,
— Psalm 22:30 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 25:03Who is the remnant?
Short answer: Revelation 12:17: those who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. If I mess up, I repent and keep walking.
▶ 27:18 Don’t have time this generation thing I could really show you something powerful but it’s going to take more time. Revelation 12:17. The dragon was angry with the woman now I don’t have time to get into but the woman is obviously the church or the bride are you there ok brought forth the manchild through Mary and all that he went to make war with the remnant of her seed now if you just go to the English definition of that remnant means remainder see remainder is when you burn wood the remainder is ashes ok and so God uses the word remainder remnant of her seed and then he defines the word this is what you’ve got to understand the Bible must.
▶ 28:16 Interpret itself when you interpret it you’re gonna mess up now. We’re gonna get a definition of the remnant are you with me and the remnant is what the seed that’s you and here’s the remnant they which keep the commandments of God whoa. There’s a responsibility on my part to be a remnant I must what keep the commandments of God if I mess up I asked forgiveness I get up and I walk in the right road again if I mess up again I repent I get up and I keep walking and now right yes. But my goal is to keep the commandments of God that’s the remnant see and the devil don’t like us who believe and obey God’s word yeah he does he does.
Scripture in this part
Revelation 12:17 (NKJV)
And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
— Revelation 12:17 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 27:30Who is the one seed?
Short answer: Galatians 3:16: Christ. John 12:24: unless a grain of wheat dies it abides alone; Hebrews 2:9–10: he tasted death for every man, bringing many sons to glory; Revelation 7:9: a multitude no one could number.
▶ 29:16 And they have the testimony of who Jesus Christ not Allah not Brahma.. Jesus Christ Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world Jesus Christ rose by the spirit of life from the dead Jesus Christ is building a church Jesus Christ will come and live in you with the father and with the Holy Spirit and enabling you and empower you see we have that testimony that witness of Jesus Christ and we keep the commandments of God that is the remnant so when you see the word remnant in the Bible now you understand it’s used quite a few times are you with me now. I. Told you there was two seeds. Galatians 3:16 to Abraham and to his seed were the promises made he does not say and to seeds plural.
▶ 30:16 Okay so it’s not the children of God he’s talking about is it because the children of God are plural see but as of many but as one seed and then he tells us who the one seed is and to your seed [unclear] who is Christ the seed of God the son of God that came to die for the sins of the world we are the seed the offspring of that [unclear] got it now why is it important. We’re going to answer it by answering the question why it pleased the father to bruise and kill Jesus God see Jesus was God’s only begotten son born of a virgin the rest of us we didn’t have a miraculous birth.
▶ 31:17 We were born of a mother and a father but Jesus was the one seed and that’s important for you to understand and he’s the seed that was promised and in Acts it says that he would bless us in turning every one of us from our iniquity the seed the one seed that’s Jesus now. John 12:24 except a corn of wheat a seed fall into the ground and die it abides alone in that true any seed until that seed dies until it is put in the right atmosphere and kept there see and it dies then it’s brought out put in the right atmosphere to grow and it germinates and brings forth life we all know this basic stuff but if it dies it brings forth much fruit see now.
▶ 32:19 Hebrews 2:9 Jesus was made a little lower than the angels that’s us that bother you that you’re a little lower than the angels. for the suffering of what death see the wheat had to die the seed had to die Jesus had to die why that he should taste death for what everyman the atheist the homosexual the agnostic the the believer the backslider he tasted death for every man okay and the result is what in bringing many sons unto glory just like it’s said up here about the natural seed Jesus died and now we are the many sons we are the seeds the offspring and how many are there many these people that preach only a few will be saved they haven’t read their book.
▶ 33:25 The work of Christ on the cross is gonna bring in a tremendous harvest. Can I hear an amen you know we always go to the doom and gloom of the [unclear] doom and gloom just seems to sell books but that Bible is not a book of doom and gloom it’s a book of prosperity. Strong living joyful living successful living and he’s bringing how many sons many many seeds many offspring unto what glory is a position of honor. Got it and who’s bringing us to that place of honor Jesus is okay now mission accomplished Revelation 7:9 a great multitude no man could number that sound like a few to you.
▶ 34:25 Of all nations did he promise Jesus all nations yeah. Kindred people and tongues languages stood before the throne and before the lamb clothed with white robe what’s the glory the white robes and what is the white robes the righteousness of the saints see you got Bible definitions of everything you got nobody saying well I blew you know I used to go to church my mom and dad took me to church and they would get the Bible out and they’d read a verse and said well what do you think it says and what do you think it says and I’m sitting there going man. And this guy would say one thing and this person say another and I’m sitting there going some sums something’s not up here and when I got saved you don’t do a Bible study like that who cares what you said it’s what the scriptures say it’s what the scriptures say and the Bible study leaders should know what the scriptures are saying before he comes to that Bible study and then he says what the scriptures are saying he doesn’t ask what do you think it says what do you think it says what do you get out of [unclear].
▶ 35:38 Hallelujah now that was worthy of a clap offering yeah. Yeah. Don’t you want to know what the scripture says not what people think every time somebody comes to me and said well I believe I said who cares what you believe and that included family members so who cares what you believe what does the Bible say. Well you know you think you know it oh I didn’t say I know it all but the Bible says it knows it all. amen unless you give me scripture for your belief [unclear]. Amen.
Scripture in this part
Galatians 3:16 (NKJV)
Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ.
— Galatians 3:16 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 30:08John 12:24 (NKJV)
Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.
— John 12:24 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 31:41Hebrews 2:9-10 (NKJV)
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone. For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
— Hebrews 2:9-10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 32:19Revelation 7:9 (NKJV)
After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands,
— Revelation 7:9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 34:19What does church history show?
Short answer: Haggai 2:9: the latter glory will be greater. The early church had miracles, righteousness and unity; then came the falling away—Constantine, Theodosius, the dark ages—and restoration from the 1500s, with each group persecuting the next.
▶ 36:31 Alleluia. Now. I’m going to give you a timeline. This should bring everything in perspective for you Haggai 2:9 the glory of this latter house shall be greater than a former are there two houses yes one is called the latter house the last day house one is called the former the early church okay. That’s what the scriptures say. Here’s the former church the early church we’re going to account it when Christ ascended he died on the cross and ascended 33 AD somewhere around there yeah and the apostles went out and they built a church and this is what the early church did all right they evangelize with healings and folks not only blinded eyes and leprosy was healed but they had signs.
▶ 37:37 Angels and Jesus himself appeared to these people. Prison bars were open without anybody unlocking them. Philip was transported miles from one area to another just like that just transported back we’re talking about signs we’re talking about miraculous events that are his above healing the body and the apostles went out and evangelized with the message of the kingdom the message of repentance and signs and wonders they absolutely. Fulfilled the scripture that the gates of hell could not prevail against the church is that an amen the early church was powerful. They were righteous sons of God in the core of the early church and God corrected me on this I mean you know we’re always coming to truth.
▶ 38:38 The core the apostles and the church leaders were righteous they didn’t run off with the secretary they didn’t run off with the church’s money you know they were never found drunk and taking drugs and getting high and partying never never they never had nervous breakdowns and they never taught nonsense like positive thinking impossibility thinking and purpose driven thinking they never taught that stuff they never taught that the church serving the poor was mature Christianity it’s not in there. Are you there they got us believing as church members as a church if we’re really a Christian we’re going to be helping everybody that’s destitute it’s not in the Bible not in the New Testament I. Haven’t got time to get into that right now but they didn’t preach this so if they preach Christ and him crucified in that what the scripture said they preach what Christ and him crucified so you could be saved and delivered and healed from sin.
▶ 39:46 Now we’re preaching everything in the world focus on the family focus on finances for prosperity oh they never preach prosperity. And. They never preached faith alone. They preached righteousness. Sons of God. Making Jesus Lord of your life living right that’s what they preach and they turned the world upside down with that simple preaching. They were persecuted. And if you’re going to stand up for right believe me you’re going to have opposition from your family from your children from your spouse you’re gonna have opposition as long as you don’t stand up for right there’s nobody gonna bother you because the wrong [unclear] do wrong without being threatened and exposed but you stand up for right and you live right they’re gonna challenge you oh holier than thou oh holier than thou one you know all this nonsense.
▶ 41:02 And they had what unity the early church actually. Experienced the promise of God a church that the gates of hell could not prevail against a church without spot or wrinkle or any such thing and a church in unity and we don’t have that today. In America today you can believe whatever you want it has to be acceptable it’s exactly what the homosexuals started teaching in the seventies. What I believe the homosexual said should be accepted. And so they brought in a new word new tolerance tolerance is accepting me the way I am and American churches bought into they take some words and they turn America’s thinking against the Bible with certain terminology are you with me and I submit to you that’s the socialist the democrat the liberal party the homosexual activists the atheists the evolutionists they all are united on their side to destroy the morality of America.
▶ 42:17 Remember Jesus’s prayer father don’t take them out of the world you remember that and what’s most Christians wanting today oh come Lord get me out of this mess and Jesus prayed what father I don’t pray that you take them out of the world but that you make them one as you and I are one that the world may believe and know that you sent me and love them as you love me and we haven’t seen the fulfillment of that but the early church did okay now please pay attention. Did the Bible say there’d be a falling away yes there’d be a falling away and so we have the period from 500 ad to 1500 ad we call the dark ages the falling away Roman Empire was divided in 286 AD in 313 AD Emperor Constantine.
▶ 43:18 Had a vision of a cross and he passed a law that all people accept Christianity now in fact if you were a Christian you got perks in the kingdom so guess what happened everybody became a Christian not born again. They just became a believer in Christianity and when you’re not born again guess what you’re going to bring the moral atmosphere of the church down and they did and then Theodosius came along and he made the Roman Catholic church the official doctrine..
▶ 44:04 Now you know why our founding fathers have a separation of church and state if you disobeyed the doctrine of the Catholic church they beat you they tortured you to get you to confess and if he didn’t they killed you are you there the dark ages the dark ages was also a time where learning ceased and [unclear] life was brutal only the strong survived just brutal okay the dark ages just like Jesus said there would be a falling away and it happened and then the Roman Empire fell in 476 AD and that’s really when the dark ages got darker are you there now this is just simple history.
▶ 44:53 But prophesied by the Bible saying there would be a falling away but we also taught you that there’s a restoration he will restore Acts 3 he will restore all things Jesus remains in the heaven until the restoration of all things spoken by the prophets not the Christian bookstore the prophets of the Bible amen yes and he would send times of refreshing we saw the restoration start in the 1500s and then Martin Luther he started the Lutheran church and then the Baptists started their church and the Presbyterians started their group and then the Methodists started their group and each group persecuted the group after it the Lutherans they said that the Baptists you ought to be [unclear] that’s fine they just hold him down and drowned him.. because the Lutherans still believed at that time in sprinkling.
▶ 45:48 Are you there Calvin which a lot of people put their confidence in persecuted and killed people’s that didn’t believe the way he believed. Are you there that’s Calvin and I can go on down the line you see the denominational groups punished the next group God would reveal another truth and then the old truth would attack and persecute the people that got the new truth. Are you there. And when God moves in America again it’s gonna be the old move that’s gonna oppose the new move you can mark my word. So we are in the time of restoration and refreshing.
Scripture in this part
Haggai 2:9 (NKJV)
‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the LORD of hosts.”
— Haggai 2:9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 36:31Acts 3:21 (NKJV)
whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.
— Acts 3:21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 45:09 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What is still to come?
Short answer: 1 John 3:2: it has not yet appeared what we shall be; Romans 8:18: the glory to be revealed. Stand on the promises; Philippians 1:6: he will complete the good work he began in you.
▶ 46:43 That’s what we’re in then there’s the latter house we don’t know when this is going to come to pass the Bible tells us. First John 3:2 it has not been yet revealed what we shall be but when he comes we will be what like him so was there something the apostles didn’t even see absolutely why is everybody today think they got all the Revelation and they sell books on it we got some weirdo fabricating a planet coming out of the abyss up there in the heavens you know in the end time is starting yesterday and all this stuff when the apostles plainly said this stuff hasn’t been revealed yet in that right and I can prove it to you in Romans 8:18 the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with what the glory which shall be revealed in us.
▶ 47:46 See he said I’ll bring many sons unto glory we haven’t seen yet exactly what he’s talking about but when he comes we will be like him we’re going to experience it and we’re going to partake in that before he comes. Amen. Yeah give the Lord a clap offering [unclear] The glory that’s going to be revealed it has not been revealed yet why don’t these prophetic. People the self-appointed [unclear] prophets that are building making a fortune off writing books why don’t they bring out these verses that we don’t know a lot of stuff there’s a lot of things we don’t know and we won’t know them till he reveals them and [unclear] then we’re gonna say hey that’s what pastor [unclear] preached back then.
▶ 48:47 Are you there. Alleluia. Now. In closing we’ve been promised exceedingly great and precious promises don’t get distracted from those promises don’t fabricate them don’t try to make them work just be ready to allow them to work when God works them amen. Just admit we don’t know everything but we’ve been given promises and we’re gonna stand on the promises and we’re gonna sing a song that came out decades ago I’m a child of the king this morning most of you knelt or stood and made Jesus king Lord of your life we’re going to close the service by this proclamation I’m a child of the king his royal blood now flows in my veins once I was wretched a sinner but now I am free praise God praise God I’m a child of the king how many want to be a child of king Jesus how many will make that proclamation today stand with me if you make that proclamation I’ll make him king and I’m a child of the king amen church now for
▶ 50:18 you doubters. Who don’t believe God can do this especially in you because you look in the mirror and you see the real you he sees what you can be. You see the real you you need to start seeing what you can be I’ve been there I know I go how can this happen look look at me. But this is the verse. Paul says I know and I’m persuaded that the good work that God has begun in me he will complete it and to the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ amen. so stop looking at all your faults and all your mistakes and yes deal with them don’t get me wrong don’t just go well I’m perfect deal with them in prayer and all that but look at what God promised you he will finish the good work he began in you until the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and we saw that latter day church is going to be a glorious church because he’s gonna do what he said he would do and if you’re alive at that time you’re gonna be part of that and if you’re not alive at that time you can partake now [unclear] born out of due time and be a light to this world God bless you find your seat I’m sorry for the long message.
