From the sermonGod Continues to Accept Good People, Satan Continues to Oppose Them 05/27/2018 · Pastor David G. Kincer▶ 0:00

Pastor David G. Kincer shows that Satan opposes even people who know God and the scriptures. God’s goal from the beginning is that we be good, and the Holy Ghost makes us good. Job was blameless, but with God’s permission Satan took his goods and children and used false friends against him. Job blamed God, then repented, prayed for his friends and was restored double.

Who opposes believers who know God?

▶ 0:00 Fighting against God and you remember we showed you in the scriptures that because they didn’t know God and they didn’t know the scriptures that they fought against God they even killed the messiah that they were looking for because they didn’t know God and they didn’t know the scriptures and we showed you that all the people the apostates the people that fall away the antichrist the 666 people can God save every one of them if they wanted to be saved remember I showed you all that and that nothing is too hard for the Lord he can save no matter what situation you’re in he can save but I want to show you today that. We have another source of fighting against God this is a brief review first Peter 5:8 be alert your adversary the Devil is as a roaring lion walks about seeking whom he may devour Satan is our adversary even if you know the scriptures and you know God Satan is out to attack you in 2nd Corinthians 11:14 Satan disguises himself as an angel of light everybody seeing angels aren’t seeing the right angel it’s the message of the angels that determine where the angel is from God or from the dark side is that an amen the message and his ministers as ministers of right his ministers say they’re right even if it opposes God.

How does Satan work against new believers?

▶ Watch this part (1:29)

Short answer: As accuser: “you didn’t really get saved.” God allows him to test only what you can pass, showing your level of growth.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:29 The Bible says in 2nd Corinthians 2:11 were not ignorant of Satan’s purposes Satan’s devices Satan’s trickery we’re not ignorant of them because the Bible tells us he’s an accuser as a young Christian when I got saved and I felt that load of sin go off my shoulders and everything else Monday morning Satan comes and said nothing happened you didn’t really get saved how many experienced that yeah oh yeah when I got filled with the Holy Ghost was speaking in tongues he says [unclear] you just made a fool out of yourself next day you just made a fool of yourself nothing really happened [unclear] but I had an older couple in the church that took me under their wing and walked me through that young stage.

▶ 2:16 Where we’re vulnerable to Satan and yeah we go yeah I’m not worthy and then if I did make a mistake and you know I mean no babies in Christ aren’t perfect yet they got sin in their life yeah we’re cleaning out our sin then Satan comes along and says you see you’re not a Christian look what you did you should not talk that way you shouldn’t have done that you’re not a Christian just quit quit pretending everybody experienced that yeah that’s the accuser he comes along to accuse you and whether you’re guilty or not he is a robber a thief he comes to kill he comes to destroy and he comes to tempt you or test you and he has the right to test you because God would only allow Satan to test you in things that God knows you can pass and it’s there to show how strong you are in God your tests level may be kindergarten okay maybe first grade maybe 12th grade maybe college see the more you know the more you are responsible for and Satan is there as the tester because the Bible says God can’t test people you understand that so God has Satan to test you and he shows you your level of growth alleluia.

What happened at the beginning?

▶ Watch this part (3:29)

Short answer: Satan lied to Eve, but God killed the first lamb to cover them and promised the Messiah. God told Cain to rule over sin and do good.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 3:29 How many want to grow all right don’t worry when Satan comes to test you and show you your level of growth all right he also sinned from the beginning murdered from the beginning and lied from the beginning from the beginning the creation of the earth and we went to Genesis 3 Satan told Eve you will not die like he lied to Eve through the serpent the serpent was a vessel but you’ll be as gods knowing good and evil a lot of people want to be as God making decisions God is God and he makes all the decisions could that be an amen oh. Yeah when you make your decisions and your doctrines you are proclaiming yourself as it says in 2nd Thessalonians chapter 2 you are setting yourself in the seat of God don’t do that Satan did lie and Eve sinned but what Satan did not know because his knowledge is limited is God had an answer for that and God killed a lamb slaughtered the first lamb.

▶ 4:44 Covered Adam and Eve with the lamb and got rid of the fig leaf God covered them his way are you there he covers our sin with his blood and he prophesied that the messiah would come and destroy Satan’s power to cover Eve and all of our sin that’s at the very beginning oh yeah now in chapter 4 verse 5 of Genesis Cain was an angry guy an evil guy he went about doing bad things and God came to Cain personally now this is God talking [unclear] these people that say well if God would show up I could see God if God would come and talk to me then I would believe well God came directly to Eve or directly to Cain directly to Noah God come directly back there talk to people and Cain still would not believe and God told him you need to rule over sin and do good if you rule over sin and do good you’ll be accepted and so doing good the good tree of knowledge of good and evil doing good was established at the very beginning and if you never prophesy heal the sick raise the dead or lead 10,000 people to Christ if you do good you are reaching the goal of God from the very beginning amen if you’re a good husband and you’re a good wife and you’re a good mom and you’re a

What is God’s goal for us?

▶ Watch this part (6:14)

Short answer: To be good people. Not all prophesy or heal, but all can be good. Acts 11:24: Barnabas was a good man full of the Holy Ghost.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 6:14 good dad and you put that family first and you put those kids first I don’t care if you ever prophesy heal the sick raise the dead or whatever you have reached the goal of God from the beginning a good person not all prophesied all speak with tongues not all can heal the sick not all can raise the dead the Bible says isn’t that right but all of us can be good. Hallelujah. yeah [unclear] clap offering no you don’t have to be embarrassed that is the goal. Now. and we showed you in Acts 11:24 Barnabas was a good person full of the Holy Ghost and full of faith and many people were added to the Lord. now the Baptists say that the baptism of the Holy Ghost isn’t for today and they believe they get filled with the Holy Ghost when they get baptized other churches say they get filled with the Holy Ghost when they accept Christ at salvation the Pentecostals the charismatics say you get the Holy Ghost when you speak in tongues but

What does the Holy Ghost do?

▶ Watch this part (7:17)

Short answer: He makes you a good person. If your faith isn’t making you good, you have faith in your faith.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 7:17 Here we have a clearer understanding of the Holy Ghost the Holy Ghost will make you what. Say it a good person now would you rather speak in tongues or be a good person now I speak in tongues but my wife could care the least and my kids could care the least if I speak in tongues and I can prophesy for edification exhortation and comfort not the office of a prophet edification exhortation and comfort for the church you got it but my kids and my wife could care the least my kids want a good dad and my wife wants a good husband are you there and that’s the goal from the very beginning amen and if the Baptists really had the Holy Ghost they would be what good people if the other denominations had the Holy Ghost at salvation they would be what good people and these people [unclear] faith they always talking about my faith my faith my faith and the more faith I have the more powerful I’ll be if your faith is not making you a good person you just got faith in your faith.

▶ 8:29 If you got faith in the gospel if you got faith in Christ Jesus that faith will be making you a good person from the beginning God ordained it amen. Alleluia now that’s the review but these good acts and these good speech you see Barnabas brought many people to the Lord why because he talked about right he didn’t just stay in his house when he went out he talked about. Being good and when people were talking about bad Barnabas would say no that’s not good this is good are you there good talking good behavior got Abel killed Barnabas killed and Jesus killed you know Jesus was thirty years in this earth and no one had a problem with him till he started preaching isn’t that right yeah they never had a problem and he was a good man the whole time a good kid a good teenager and a good 20 ager but when he started preaching the gospel that’s when they mistreated him and they killed him but that’s the very thing that will bring people to good speaking the gospel hallelujah now.

Why assemble together?

▶ Watch this part (9:52)

Short answer: Hebrews 10:24–25: to provoke one another to love and good works—love God, your neighbor and yourself.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 9:52 The Bible says in Hebrews that. forsake not the assembling of yourselves together like we are this morning. Especially as you see the day approaching. for assembling of yourselves together is for the purpose of provoking one another encouraging one another prodding one another to love and to good work you see God ordained the assembling of the people together to keep reminding us to be good people and to love what’s the greatest commandment love God what’s the second love your neighbor and in the second is love yourself love your neighbor as yourself don’t do harm to yourself to your neighbor or to God and the assembling of the church whether we’re singing songs whether we’re praying or whether we’re preaching should be excuse me encouraging you to love your wife love your husband love your kids love your parents love your neighbor do no harm to them love God do no harm to them and go out and do good works on the Job at school and in the community wherever do good and so we need that encouragement don’t we and people that neglect the house of God wind up not doing good and not

Who is Satan’s boss?

▶ Watch this part (11:23)

Short answer: God. Job 1:7: Satan walks to and fro in the earth and must report to God.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 11:23 loving are you there. The third time Satan is mentioned in the Old Testament this is after the flood okay. God continues to accept good people and Satan continues to oppose good people alright we go to Job 1:7 Satan presented himself before the Lord from going to and fro in the earth and from walking up and down in it now why is Satan walking up and down in the earth you know what was he [unclear] what’s the deal and then he has to come and answer to God he has to report in to God and then he goes back and he walks to and fro in the earth to and fro in the earth and then he’s got to report back to God why because God’s the head of everything. God is Satan’s boss.

Scripture (NKJV)

Job 1:7 (NKJV)

What was Job like?

▶ Watch this part (12:19)

Short answer: Job 1:8: blameless and upright. Job 31: no pride, no sexual immorality, fair to employees, the poor and widows, didn’t love money or rejoice at others’ calamity.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 12:19 First Peter 5:8 this is where Peter got the message your adversary the Devil as a roaring lion walks about seeking whom he may devour he’s walking to and fro [unclear] if he can get you to turn away from Christ if he can get you to disbelieve if he can get you to doubt he’s walking to and fro. He opposes you. He wants to destroy you if he can’t destroy you he wants to discourage you. Now Job 1:8 next verse look at this Job 1:8 next verse the Lord said to Satan who initiated the conversation. God himself have you Satan considered my servant Job.

▶ 13:17 that there is none like him in the earth a blameless upright man. That fears God and shuns evil. that’s God telling us about Job that’s not his friend that’s not his wife this is God assessing the character of Job can we line up to that I fall short I’m 75 and I still fall short I want to show you why in Job 31. God the Bible gives us Job’s character all right in Job 31 it says that Job never had pride he never elevated himself above others never thought he was better than others wow.

▶ 14:13 Think about that for a minute whew. do we pass that one yeah [unclear]. Yeah you look at the general [unclear] but what about these little things in the closet. You think you’re better. Job never did that Job had no pride isn’t that powerful Job never committed sexual immorality he didn’t have sex with other women outside of his marriage he didn’t have sex with children and he didn’t have sex in the family or incest he never had sex with a man same sex Job never committed sexual immorality. Wow. Job treated his employees fairly and he had a lot [unclear] this guy was wealthy had a lot of employees and he took care of his employees paid them a fair wage and if things [unclear] come in their life there was no Blue Shield insurance or anything back there and there was no food stamps and there was no you know government help Job came to his employees’ rescue..

▶ 15:29 wow. Isn’t that powerful. He also treated the poor the widow and the orphan the same way never turned them away see again there’s no food stamps there’s no welfare program Job was a wealthy man employing a lot of people when the husband died and left the widow Job was there to help that widow raise her family. Because the man couldn’t bring in the income anymore Job was there to help the orphans if mom and dad both died in an accident or whatever Job was there wow. isn’t that a beautiful picture. Job never loved money.

▶ 16:27 He had a lot of it made a lot of it but he distributed it he never loved money and money was not his goal he never coveted money. Job never had joy over people’s calamity especially people that hated him he didn’t laugh at them he didn’t mock them and say they were getting what they deserve. did you do that when AIDS came out and homosexuals were dying from AIDS and they still are. Do you have the attitude where they got what they deserved ha ha ha Job never did that. Are you there this guy has got it he has entered into the character of God isn’t that right and that’s a good goal for us isn’t that true amen how many need more growth in your life you willing to raise your hand and admit it yeah.

What else marked Job?

▶ Watch this part (17:35)

Short answer: He never cursed God or man, never hid his sin, and never feared the crowd—don’t follow a crowd to do evil.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 17:35 That’s why you come to church so you can be encouraged to love and to good works. Job never denied God in the mouth by his speech or in his actions he never denied God. Job never cursed God or mankind. didn’t use profanity [unclear] four little five little words [unclear] Job never cursed God or mankind [unclear] Saturday before last I listened to 20 sermons on the internet and in one of those sermons the preacher used a swear word a profanity word I couldn’t believe it now understand church members slipping up and saying four-letter words and all that growing in God but I don’t understand a minister is supposed to be filled with the Holy Ghost called to preach the gospel using profanity in a message let alone in life could that be an amen yeah.

▶ 18:44 And then. One church sing a song that had profanity in it I couldn’t believe it and of course there’s thousands there and they used a term of profanity in the song that the world uses. Are you there. Has God got some work to do in America yes he wants us to be good people folks. Job never covered his sin like Adam did you know Adam and Eve they got the fig leaf and everything and they you know tried to hide from God [unclear] and then God came and exposed them Job never hid his sin when he made a mistake how many make mistakes yeah.

▶ 19:36 That’s one thing you gotta admit your mistake ask God to forgive you and turn from it that’s that’s been good you know it’s not like especially as a baby in Christ it’s not like you’re going to be perfect you want to make mistakes. but you can [unclear] turn from it God will forgive you and you can keep growing are you there and Job never feared the crowd young people do you hear that one you teenagers are herders it’s an instinct in teenagers to be [unclear] herd to follow the crowd the peers do what they do dress like they dress talk like they talk this pressure Job never feared the crowd the Bible says in Proverbs don’t follow the crowd to do evil and Job never let a crowd distract him from being a good man amen and you teenagers you can do the same thing follow God’s crowd follow God’s herd not the world’s herd could I get an amen now.

What did Satan claim about Job?

▶ Watch this part (20:50)

Short answer: Job 1:10–11: God had put a hedge around him; take it away and he’ll curse God. With permission Satan destroyed his goods and children.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 20:50 Here’s Satan in action the third time we’re going to go to Job 1:10 okay [unclear] God brought up the subject have you considered my servant oh perfect upright wow and Satan says to God you put a hedge a wall around Job I can’t touch him how many of you glad of that yeah. Yeah yeah God put the wall on yeah that lion just outside the wall roaring wow that’s all he can do. And you blessed the work of his hands you bless this family you’ve blessed his kid your kids his kids you blessed his finances you’ve done nothing but good to Job.

▶ 21:45 how many like that part yeah how many know that God wants to do that [unclear] gonna make you a millionaire but he will make a way for you to feed your family clothes your family bring health medical medicine to your family he will but you got to follow the financial principles it’s called work. Isn’t that right you got to work alright but he will now those are good so [unclear] says you strike everything Job has and he will curse you to your face he accused Job of only serving God because good things happened to him. But Satan says you let me see.

▶ 22:37 Satan your adversary a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour he couldn’t touch Job because God put a wall around him and said Satan you can’t touch anything of Job so Satan says take the wall away and he’ll curse you to your face you bring bad things in his life and he’ll curse you to your face so. For you young people these old ones know everything so but for you young people Satan went out and he destroyed [unclear] Job was a herder he herded cattle sheep and so forth he destroyed all of Job’s resources destroyed his business bam just like that he came and killed all of his children one day bam just like that got it and he used fire from heaven and a wind a hurricane a tornado or whatever to kill his kids so Satan when God allowed him had control over the element you understand that and he used bandits to come and take some of his possessions crooks.

▶ 23:57 They couldn’t do it until God gave him permission but he used the evil people and then he brought an army to take the rest of the possessions three troops an army so Satan has the power to make war to have evil people hurt you in life if God gives him permission. if God [unclear] gives him permission if God doesn’t give him permission Satan can’t do anything is that an amen oh yeah now. you remember Job had a lot of employees. And only three employees came back. Working for Job cost you your life working for the good man cost you your life.

Scripture (NKJV)

Job 1:10-11 (NKJV)

Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”

— Job 1:10-11 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 20:54

How did Satan use Job’s friends?

▶ Watch this part (24:59)

Short answer: They accused him without proof. Today Satan gets Christians to divorce good spouses without proof.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 24:59 Are you there. Wow. so Satan goes and does this reports back to God and God says hey Satan you’ve done all this to Job and he still is a man of integrity he has not denied me not accused me falsely he’s still an upright man Satan so take that. So what does Satan do he goes back and he gets three friends of Job remember teenagers I told you you had a herding instinct. To follow your peers. so [unclear] Satan brings Job’s three friends over and they come over to comfort him all right you got the picture this is this is Job over here and there’s his friends and there’s his wife and you know oh.

▶ 25:57 So the three friends chapter after chapter after chapter after chapter [unclear] man how many read the book of Job chapter after chapter is these guys shooting their mouth off and saying nothing. They’re accusing Job. That he lost his kids he lost his wealth and he lost his health because he sinned. All right and chapter after chapter they’re accusing Job [unclear] happened because you got sin Job says where’s the proof where’s the proof where’s the woman I committed adultery with where is the widow that I didn’t help where is the poor that I didn’t help [unclear] mistreated where are they bring the proof how many know in the Bible and in court you got to have evidence.

▶ 26:53 Alleluia. they had no proof they just had words these people that really don’t know the scriptures and all that they just have a lot of words but [unclear] they never say anything they never give you an answer from the authority of the scriptures isn’t that true they had no proof and you know sadly today Satan is getting Christians to divorce good spouses that they have no proof did anything wrong are you there we’re just following the crowd we don’t like what’s going on in marriage [unclear] leave it. How many know the proof for divorce. Gotta be adultery or physical abuse yes. Otherwise you gotta work this thing out and the church world is divorcing at a higher rate than the secular world because the church [unclear] marries more.

Can Satan attack people everywhere at once?

▶ Watch this part (27:56)

Short answer: Yes. He is one spirit but influences from wherever he is—the spirit working in the children of disobedience (Ephesians 2:2).

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 27:56 Are you there and they don’t want to fight the battle okay. let me throw this out [unclear] you want a wingdinger. people say all the time that Satan is not omnipotent [unclear] heard that he says it can only be at one place at one time anybody heard that oh man that’s that is the 99% doctrine in America and they use the scripture in Revelation where Satan is thrown into the lake of fire an individual.. But I submit to you death was also thrown into the lake of fire isn’t that right [unclear] people dying right now in America in China and Russia in Japan in Australia at the same time.

▶ 29:02 Can Satan be accusing attacking and trying to destroy and devour Christians here in America Russia and other places at the same time yes he can is he still an individual spirit yes he’s still an individual spirit. Hallelujah. Remember in Ephesians it says that the prince of the power of the air And the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience children plural isn’t that right I mean there’s seven billion people in this world he’s going to be running around individually no spirit [unclear] is totally different they can influence from wherever they’re at you got it devils are different demons are different demons possess you and they control you from inside Satan oppresses you see Jesus went about doing good delivering all that were what oppressed all that were harassed by the Devil see are you there not possessed and the Devil there means Satan it’s Satan okay.

Did God trust Job?

▶ Watch this part (30:25)

Short answer: Yes. Have proof before you accuse. The friends lied; God trusted Job to serve him in bad times. Job 2:10: shall we not accept bad as well as good?

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 30:25 Just thought I’d throw that out hallelujah. Now. Before you accuse anybody please have proof. Please get your proof people come to me all the time I remember I said where’s the evidence well I just know [unclear] the Holy Ghost oh yeah Pentecostals [unclear] and charismatics we’re famous for well the spirit told me well. The spirit won’t tell you anything that’s it no evidence [unclear] you got to have what evidence. Amen and you can’t just feel like it you gotta have proof of it is that an amen now. These guys say a very very powerful statement God puts no trust in his saints his holy one or in human flesh people that dwell in houses of flesh this is what the three friends said God don’t trust you Job God don’t trust you Linda God don’t trust you Josiah [unclear] trust you one inch..

▶ 31:43 totally a lie why because God trusted Job to love him and serve him during the bad times and God is the one that initiated the conversation and allowed the bad times to come knowing that Job could be trusted to stay faithful to God even when things are bad. Amen and when you really know God it doesn’t matter if things are good or bad or going the way you want your trust is in God your love is in God and nothing can sway you oh. Yeah and God used Job to tell all the generations after including us that my people will serve me whether they’re good times or whether they’re bad amen do you have that kind of love for God.

▶ 32:40 Hallelujah. his wife said curse God and die Job you know [unclear] curse God kick the bucket get out of here [unclear] on my way I could marry another guy [unclear] she didn’t say that but I’m just you know [unclear] curse God and die the Bible says [unclear] enemies are those of your own household sometimes your household your own spouse your own children your own parents can oppose you. For being a good person. but Job would not curse God and die Job said will I not accept bad at the hand of the Lord as well as good. are you there church shall I not accept bad things at the hand of the Lord as well as good is that a good answer can you say that today.

Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!” But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

How was Job restored?

▶ Watch this part (33:37)

Short answer: Job blamed God, then repented when God spoke. God restored him double—after he prayed for his false friends.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 33:37 Alleluia. changes doesn’t it changes our attitude now Job confessed his sin of blaming God this is what his three friends by Satan Satan used his three friends to get Job to do something that Job had never done before Job blamed God Job said God counts me as his enemy yeah Job said it does no profit to serve the Lord. Are you there. That’s what his three friends by way of Satan got Job to do before that Job had no sin in his life now he’s sinning because he’s saying God did this stuff when Satan did it and he said God is his enemy and he said it does not profit anyone to serve God Job.

▶ 34:39 Messed up big time have you ever done that yeah big time and so Elihu the young guy the young guy he was sitting there quiet the whole time and then [unclear] after these guys got silenced Elihu spoke up and says you know old people supposed to be wise but wisdom isn’t always with the old folks he says you guys accuse Job falsely you ought to be embarrassed [unclear] that’s wrong and Job you’re not right either you accuse God of being not fair. You accuse God being your enemy you accuse God that it doesn’t profit anyone to serve God and then God shows up on the scene I told you God back there come on he was still around in person God came up on the scene and Job where were you [unclear] when I created the earth who do you think you are.

▶ 35:43 Are you there and when God got done what did Job say I put my hand on my mouth I repent in sackcloth and ashes [unclear] Job admitted he was wrong he repented and then what. God refreshed Job restored his health his wealth two times more than he had before restored his wife and gave him seven new children. Are you there now [unclear] be honest [unclear] Christian had a problem with this and I told God you know you’re unfair you killed seven innocent children [unclear] I made the same mistake Job did you killed seven innocent children how could you do that but he did Satan did it God just allowed it to show the world and my eyes were open to show the generations to come that God’s people will serve him no matter if there’s good times no matter if they’re bad they love him and they will serve him period and

▶ 36:55 He’s God if he wants to use that to teach us he’s God the Bible says in 1st Corinthians 11 that he used Israel everything [unclear] written about Israel [unclear] for our admonition and our learning all them things that happen to Israel in the Old Testament was to teach us. God is a good God can I hear an amen and God’s all-powerful and he knows what he’s doing and we are limited in that knowledge it’s just best to love him and serve him could that be an amen be a good person yeah. and [unclear] did not do this restore all this and refresh him until he prayed for his false friends.

▶ 37:45 He had to pray for these guys that falsely accused him God [unclear] attacked them too or blamed them too [unclear] you guys you’re wrong he says you get on the offering and you bring it to Job and you offered this offering and so when Job prayed for his friends and let me tell you when you can get out of yourself and get concern for others you’ll be surprised what God will reveal to you and do for you when we get in a bad situation we’re so focused on the bad situation that we don’t care about anybody else but Job even though he repented even though he admitted [unclear] was wrong was not restored and refreshed until he prayed for his friends. Got a concern for his friends his false friends his false accusers amen.

▶ 38:43 Church I submit to you you got to get out of your little world and get concerned about others I was telling John and Linda today that old people ever since I’ve been a pastor because of their experience. Because of where they’re at and God even their failures and their mistakes when they walked into the sanctuary I could sense the level of God’s presence [unclear]. Because they’re older they’re experienced and it gives the younger ones hope if they’re serving God at that age I can.

▶ 39:20 and it’s the older ones that [unclear] now Elihu said wisdom isn’t always with the older ones but most older people through experience can advise young people in marriage and family and finances and so forth because they’ve been through it could that be an amen and when I tell people [unclear] I said well I do as pastor of the church you old people have a source in God to [unclear] the congregation just because you’re here and your are who you are so bad things happen to good people but it doesn’t stop them from loving and serving God is that a true statement and where did we learn it from Job and Satan he’s out to accuse you he’s out to attack you Satan [unclear] to attack and destroy Job and he used his three friends to do it but God judged it and God restored I run into some people all the time [unclear] judge not lest ye be judged you know don’t judge me and I would say to them is

Should we judge?

▶ Watch this part (40:40)

Short answer: We must make righteous judgments. Job 19:25–26: “I know my redeemer lives”—Job knew God and the resurrection, yet Satan got him to fight God.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 40:40 It wrong for a guy to have sex with a four-year-old child and they would say yes that’s wrong I said you just judged I said that policeman that shot that guy. because he would not stop. Shot him several times multiple times you remember the story I said was that right and they go no I said you just judge I said now the officer felt that he was a danger to the community and couldn’t let him get away and he couldn’t outrun him so he shot him I said that officer made a judgment you made a different judgment but both of you are making a judgment are you there doesn’t the Bible say to judge righteous judgment yes.

▶ 41:37 We’ve got to make judgments and decisions concerning right and wrong. in Job it says Job said this I know my redeemer lives see Job knew God and yet Satan came to get him to oppose God fight against God he knew God and not only that he knew the scriptures Job says I know my redeemer lives and at the end day after I die and the worms consume my flesh I will stand up in that end day and I will see my redeemer in the flesh. He knew about the resurrection at the end time way before the Bible was clearly explaining it so Job knew the scriptures and he knew God and yet Satan came and got him to fight against God we’re not ignorant of his devices we’re not ignorant of his goals we know that God is on our side and it profits us and he builds a wall around us and if he takes that wall down he knows we can stand it amen.

About this transcript

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added from the speaker’s pauses and then corrected by hand, and obvious caption errors (names, Bible references) were fixed; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor notes: Private names are in the transcript only. Garbled words are marked [unclear]. Kept as spoken: “Satan is not omnipotent” where the point is being in one place at a time (27:56); “1st Corinthians 11” for 1 Corinthians 10:11 (36:55); “the Bible says in Proverbs” for not following a crowd to do evil. Unverified: the church divorces at a higher rate than the secular world (26:53); the one-place view is “the 99% doctrine in America”. Sensitive content kept as spoken: condemns gloating when homosexuals died of AIDS (16:27); a minister’s profanity in a sermon and a church song with profanity (17:35–18:44). Divorce only for adultery or physical abuse (26:53). Joke about Job’s wife (32:40). Once accused God of killing seven innocent children (35:43).
