Essential for Diplomacy: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
Continuing the series on adding patience to faith, the speaker says patience is essential for diplomats of Bible morality. He points to the prophets and Job (James 5:10), rewards for patiently doing good (Romans 2:6), waiting for Christ’s return (James 5:7), recognizing true Christians (Revelation 2–3; 14:12), and a gentle, teaching response to humanism (2 Timothy 2:24), then argues Congress has established secular humanism and that Johnson’s 501(c)(3) gag order violates the First Amendment.
Why is patience essential for diplomats of Bible morality?
Short answer: He says if we have to add patience to our faith, that means we did not get it when we got saved, filled with the Holy Spirit, or baptized in water—we still have to add it with the Spirit’s help. “Patience is essential for diplomats of Bible morality.”
▶ 0:12 Thank you. We’re going to be continuing this morning on our adding patience to our faith. Okay, and now remember, if we have to add something to our faith, that means that when we got saved we didn’t have it. Okay, when you got filled with the Holy Spirit you didn’t get it; when you got baptized in water you didn’t get it. We have to add these things. Even though some of these things are part of the fruit of the Spirit, but you still have to add them with the help of that Spirit. Patience is essential for diplomats of Bible morality.
What do the prophets and Job teach about patience?
Short answer: He reads James 5:10 that the prophets are an example of patience in suffering and are counted blessed because they endured without complaining or losing their temper. He says Job was perfect and upright (Job 31), yet lost his children, wealth, and health.
▶ 1:18 And James 5:10, the Bible says that the prophets are an example of patience and suffering, and they’re counted blessed because they endured the patience and suffering without complaining and without losing their temper. Yeah. And then he says, you have heard of the patience of Job and the end result of the Lord. Now, Job is a perfect and upright man, and in Job 31 it tells us Job had no deceit, no sexual immorality, no going astray, no greed, no abusers of his employees. He didn’t mistreat orphans or the poor. He didn’t mistreat those that hated him. He had no secret sin. He was not afraid of the crowd. He lodged travelers. He was not silent about wrong. And yet he lost his children, his wealth, and his health.

James 5:10 (NKJV)
My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience.
— James 5:10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:18Job 31:1-40 (NKJV)
“I have made a covenant with my eyes; Why then should I look upon a young woman? For what is the allotment of God from above, And the inheritance of the Almighty from on high? Is it not destruction for the wicked, And disaster for the workers of iniquity? Does He not see my ways, And count all my steps? “If I have walked with falsehood, Or if my foot has hastened to deceit, Let me be weighed on honest scales, That God may know my integrity. If my step has turned from the way, Or my heart walked after my eyes, Or if any spot adheres to my hands, Then let me sow, and another eat; Yes, let my harvest be rooted out. “If my heart has been enticed by a woman, Or if I have lurked at my neighbor’s door, Then let my wife grind for another, And let others bow down over her. For that would be wickedness; Yes, it would be iniquity deserving of judgment. For that would be a fire that consumes to destruction, And would root out all my increase. “If I have despised the cause of my male or female servant When they complained against me, What then shall I do when God rises up? When He punishes, how shall I answer Him? Did not He who made me in the womb make them? Did not the same One fashion us in the womb? “If I have kept the poor from their desire, Or caused the eyes of the widow to fail, Or eaten my morsel by myself, So that the fatherless could not eat of it (But from my youth I reared him as a father, And from my mother’s womb I guided the widow); If I have seen anyone perish for lack of clothing, Or any poor man without covering; If his heart has not blessed me, And if he was not warmed with the fleece of my sheep; If I have raised my hand against the fatherless, When I saw I had help in the gate; Then let my arm fall from my shoulder, Let my arm be torn from the socket. For destruction from God is a terror to me, And because of His magnificence I cannot endure. “If I have made gold my hope, Or said to fine gold, ‘You are my confidence’; If I have rejoiced because my wealth was great, And because my hand had gained much; If I have observed the sun when it shines, Or the moon moving in brightness, So that my heart has been secretly enticed, And my mouth has kissed my hand; This also would be an iniquity deserving of judgment, For I would have denied God who is above. “If I have rejoiced at the destruction of him who hated me, Or lifted myself up when evil found him (Indeed I have not allowed my mouth to sin By asking for a curse on his soul); If the men of my tent have not said, ‘Who is there that has not been satisfied with his meat?’ (But no sojourner had to lodge in the street, For I have opened my doors to the traveler); If I have covered my transgressions as Adam, By hiding my iniquity in my bosom, Because I feared the great multitude, And dreaded the contempt of families, So that I kept silence And did not go out of the door— Oh, that I had one to hear me! Here is my mark. Oh, that the Almighty would answer me, That my Prosecutor had written a book! Surely I would carry it on my shoulder, And bind it on me like a crown; I would declare to Him the number of my steps; Like a prince I would approach Him. “If my land cries out against me, And its furrows weep together; If I have eaten its fruit without money, Or caused its owners to lose their lives; Then let thistles grow instead of wheat, And weeds instead of barley.” The words of Job are ended.
— Job 31:1-40 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:40 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Why does he say humanists are impatient with God and Christians?
Short answer: He says humanists are impatient with the Bible, Jesus, and their followers, asking why a God would allow violence and suffering. They see some Christians living in sin mixed with humanism and do not see that believers have to grow and that God gave mankind responsibility to correct criminals.
▶ 2:15 Humanists are impatient with Bible and Jesus and their followers. They say, if there’s a God, why has he allowed violence and suffering in the earth? They see some Christians mistreat their family, their self, and living in sin and mixed with humanism and Christianity, and they don’t see believers have to grow and that God gave mankind the responsibility to correct criminals. Believers have to grow and work and provide.
What present and eternal rewards does he say come from patient good works?
Short answer: He reads Romans 2:6 that God will render to each according to his deeds: eternal life to those who continue patiently in doing good, and anger and wrath to the self-seeking who do not obey truth. He says humanist faith denies God, hell, and eternal life, and that their policies have not solved America’s problems.
▶ 2:47 Patience also leads us to the present and eternal rewards based on moral deeds, not dead faith. Romans 2:6, God will render to each one according to his deeds. Number one, eternal life to all who continue patiently in doing good. Number two, anger and wrath to those who are self-seeking, do not obey truth, but obey and follow unrighteousness. Humanists—their self-seeking faith is: there is no God, no hell, no eternal life; the Bible is a myth full of errors; and human reasoning solves all human problems. Yet in the 200 years of United States existence, 50 years controlling America, their 20 percent of the population have not solved the wars, the poverty, the plagues, the famines, the acts of God, the drugs, the intolerance of one group over another, the dysfunctional families, divorce rate, education, or crime. In fact, if they were honest, their policies and their faith have made matters worse.

Romans 2:6-8 (NKJV)
who “will render to each one according to his deeds”: eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath,
— Romans 2:6-8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 2:47Why should Christians be patient while waiting for Jesus’ return?
Short answer: He reads James 5:7 comparing believers to farmers who wait with long patience for precious fruit and for the early and late rain. He says God is looking for righteous people, not apples and oranges, and that humanists mock Jesus returning to judge; he names Hitler and Stalin as humanist bullies who did terrible atrocities.
▶ 4:05 Patience is needed in waiting for the second return of Jesus Christ. In James 5:7, be patient unto the coming of the Lord. Farmers—and he gives this illustration—number one, wait for the precious fruit; number two, they wait for the fruit of the earth and they have long patience for it; number three, they’re patient until they receive the early, the spring rain, and the late summer rain. Be also patient and establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord draws nigh. We need to be patient and we need to understand God’s looking for a fruit in the earth, and not apples and oranges, but righteous people. Humanists mock Jesus returning to judge humans for their deeds. Hitler, Stalin, and many other bullies—they were all humanists, by the way, and they did terrible atrocities.
Scripture in this part
James 5:7-8 (NKJV)
Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.
— James 5:7-8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:05What does he say about the latter rain and when Jesus returns?
Short answer: He says history confirms four great spiritual awakenings in the USA, but the latter rain is a future global event greater than the book of Acts before Jesus returns for a glorious, mature church that prevails over the gates of hell. He says Jesus is not coming today because we are not prevailing yet.
▶ 5:02 History confirms there were four great spiritual awakenings in the USA, but the latter rain is a global future event greater than the book of Acts before Jesus returns for his glorious church, his mature church, and his church that prevails over the gates of hell. That is the promise of God. Hallelujah. So he isn’t coming today because we’re not prevailing yet.
How does he say to recognize true Christians and true ministers?
Short answer: He reads Revelation 2:2 that Ephesus tested those who claimed to be apostles and found them liars, and Revelation 3:9 that Philadelphia kept the word of his patience. He says God will deal with those who pretend to be Christians and show that those who kept the word of his patience were on the right track.
▶ 5:32 Important is patience in recognizing true Christians and true ministers. Revelation 2:2, to the flawed church of Ephesus he writes, I know your patience and how you can’t bear them which are evil, and you’ve tested them which say they’re ministers, they’re apostles, and are not, and found them liars. Verse 9, to the unflawed Smyrna church, I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews and are not. Revelation 3:9, to the Philadelphia church, them which say they are Jews and are not but lie, I will make to come and worship and know that I have loved you, because you kept my word of patience. I will keep you from the hour of temptation coming upon the earth. God will still deal with those who pretend to be Christians and bring them in to worship him and let them know that these people who followed me and kept the word of my patience were on the right track. Hallelujah.

Revelation 2:2 (NKJV)
“I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars;
— Revelation 2:2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:32Revelation 2:9 (NKJV)
“I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.
— Revelation 2:9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:00Revelation 3:9 (NKJV)
Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.
— Revelation 3:9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:10What is “the word of my patience,” and who is a true Christian?
Short answer: He lists humanist followers who say they are Christians yet legalize same-sex conduct and marriage, women’s health over baby’s health, welfare over work, and divorce and adultery over the strong family. He reads Revelation 14:12: the patience of the saints is keeping the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
▶ 6:31 Many humanist followers—homosexuals, evolutionists, religionists, liberals, Democrats, Republicans, and just basic American citizens—say they’re Christians and even ministers of the gospel, and yet they legalize same-sex conduct, same-sex marriage, women’s health over baby’s health, welfare over work, divorce and adultery over the strong family unit.
Scripture in this part
Revelation 14:12 (NKJV)
Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
— Revelation 14:12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:56What does Revelation 13:10 say about captivity and the sword?
Short answer: He reads that he who leads into captivity shall go into captivity, and who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword—here is the patience and faith of the saints. He says those who bring people into captivity and those who use violence must themselves be restrained.
▶ 6:57 What is the word of my patience, and what is the true Christian? Revelation 14:12, here is the patience of the saints: they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. That is the word of his patience. You patiently do it. In Revelation it’s going to talk about the true Christian and the true minister. In 13:10, he who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and faith of the saints. We’ve got to understand that these people that bring people into captivity, they’ve got to be restrained themselves, and these that use violence to get what they want—by violence they got to be restrained.
Scripture in this part
Revelation 13:10 (NKJV)
He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
— Revelation 13:10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:10How should civil leaders and Christians respond to evildoers and humanism?
Short answer: He says obeying and teaching Bible morality in Jesus is the patience of the true Christian and minister. Civil leaders in Romans 13:1 and Genesis 9:6 are to use the sword to punish and correct evildoers; bullies who use the sword will perish by it.
▶ 7:40 All right, we got to obey and teach Bible morality in Jesus. That is the patience of the true Christian and the true minister. Christian humanists promoting bad behavior lead people into the captivity of sin and crime, and they must go into captivity themselves—be restrained. Remember, civil leaders in Romans 13:1 and Genesis 9:6 are to use the sword to punish and correct evildoers. Bullies use the sword, Jesus said, and they will perish by the sword.

Romans 13:1 (NKJV)
Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.
— Romans 13:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:55Genesis 9:6 (NKJV)
“Whoever sheds man’s blood, By man his blood shall be shed; For in the image of God He made man.
— Genesis 9:6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:00What is a responsible, patient response to humanism?
Short answer: He reads 2 Timothy 2:24 that the servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, instructing opponents in meekness so God may give them repentance and they recover from the Devil’s captivity. He says it is our responsibility to teach humanists who oppose Jesus and Bible morality with a right attitude.
▶ 8:15 Patience is a responsible response to humanism. Second Timothy 2:24, the servant of the Lord must not quarrel for any reason and debate just to be debating, but be gentle unto all men, teach, patient, in meekness instructing those that oppose themselves, so God will give them repentance and the acknowledging of the truth, and recover themselves out of the captivity of the Devil. And so it is our responsibility to teach and instruct with a right attitude these humanists that are opposing Jesus and Bible morality.
Scripture in this part
2 Timothy 2:24-26 (NKJV)
And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.
— 2 Timothy 2:24-26 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:15What statistics does he blame on humanist policies?
Short answer: He cites figures he links to humanism: 50% of Americans with an STD, over 30,000 deaths from them yearly in North America, 85,000 alcohol deaths, 51% divorce, 44% of kids in single-parent homes, 40% of working age not working, world poverty figures, and millions of babies murdered for lack of self-control.
▶ 9:00 Humanists won’t admit that they oppose themselves, and yet 50 percent of Americans have a sexually transmitted disease; over thirty thousand die from them every year in North America; eighty-five thousand die from alcohol causes; 51 percent divorce rate; 51 percent stay single equals 44 percent of kids born into a single-parent family. Humanists are destroying the Bible-structured family. 40 percent of working age don’t work in America; eighty percent of the world live in poverty, make less than ten dollars a day, and fifty percent make less than $2.50 a day. Millions of babies are murdered for lack of self-control.
What does he say humanists must admit and do?
Short answer: He says criminals are not rehabilitated as promised, cites wars, 40,000 U.S. suicides a year, and lying as acceptable from the president down. He calls humanists to admit their policies do not work, repent, acknowledge Bible truths, recover from the Devil’s snare, and stop promoting harmful behavior that destroys children, families, and America.
▶ 9:43 All of these are the results of humanist policies and their faith. Criminals are not being rehabilitated like they said decades ago. 43 nations in the world are in wars and conflicts; forty thousand suicides in America per year; and lying is an acceptable behavior from the president down to children down to school teachers. We just lie. We lie in teaching at the textbook. We just lie everywhere. Humanists distort truth and they snub—they avoid—their failed faith and policies. They will not take accountability for their failed faith and their failed policies that they’ve had for reign in America for the last 50 years. Admit your policies as a humanist. Admit that they don’t work. Repent and acknowledge Bible truths. Recover yourself out of the snare of the Devil—a liar that you do not believe in but intimidate or imitate. And humanists, stop promoting harmful behavior that is destroying children, destroying families, and destroying America.
Has Congress established secular humanism, according to the sermon?
Short answer: He reads the First Amendment’s religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition clauses, then says Congress has established the religion of secular humanism—no God—by taking God out of schools and public places and restricting Jesus’ name, thereby prohibiting free exercise for Bible Christians while restricting their speech and press.
▶ 11:18 Now we’re going to look at the Second—or the First—Amendment to the Constitution. They say we don’t have a right to speak, that the Bible is a book of faith and we got to shut up, but their religion is a religion of faith. And the First Amendment to the Constitution says Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, or censoring the freedom of speech or the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and to petition government for a redress or remedies of our grievances, our objections.
▶ 12:06 Folks, our Congress has established the religion of secular humanism—no God. They took God out of the schools. They take God out of the public places. Using Jesus’ name offends people; you can’t use Jesus’ name. And they’ve established secular humanism as a religion and violated the First Amendment to the Constitution, and in doing so they prohibited the free exercise of Bible Christians and Christians that really follow Jesus. And yet this First Amendment gives us the right to speak and print our values, our truths, and our morals, and they restrict the speech and press of Bible-morality citizens. And our Congress has violated through the pressure of the religion of humanism, secular humanism.
Does he say the 501(c)(3) gag order violates the First Amendment?
Short answer: He says churches have a right to assemble, petition, and speak. He calls Johnson’s 1954 addition to the religious exemption—that churches could not talk about political things or leaders—tyranny that violates the First Amendment, notes 1400 churches defying it that October, and calls separation of church and state a humanist lie to silence Bible morality.
▶ 13:09 I submit to you today the churches have a right to peacefully assemble. They have a right to petition and request a remedy for our objections, and we have a right to speak out on our objections. Our Constitution gives us that right. And I submit to you this morning that Johnson’s gag order in the 501(c)(3) in 1954 violated the First Amendment when he added to the religious exemption that churches could not talk about political things and talk about political leaders. That is tyranny. That is wrong, and it violates the First Amendment. 1400 churches this October are defying this gag by announcing that they’re preaching politics in this month—1400 churches, yes—and they’re daring the humanist to take it to the Supreme Court because we’re sure we’re going to win. The separation of church and state is a lie by humanists to silence Bible morality, Jesus, and his church. A lie repeated often enough is accepted as a truth. Thank you.
