In this session of “Clarity on Crucial Choices,” Pastor David G. Kincer compares the conservative and moderate platforms in America with what it means to be a believer, follower and Christian. He tests their positions against Scripture on abortion, sexual immorality, alcohol and drugs, legislating morals and the role of government, and says self-control is the way to go and followers of Jesus must not be Christians or conservatives in name only.

What do conservatives mean by American exceptionalism?

▶ Watch this part (0:00)

Short answer: He says the preamble to the conservative manifesto is belief in American exceptionalism: America focuses on the common people, not just the elite, on the equality of all people, on business and economy not controlled by government, and on the individual, his ethics, morals and rights.

▶ 0:00 We want to thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule your valuable time to join with us on another session of clarity on crucial choices today’s crucial choice that we are going to look into is the differences between conservatives in America versus followers of Jesus and followers of the Bible the preamble to the conservative manifesto and their platform is they believe in America exceptionalism and that simply means America focuses on the common people not just the elite America focuses on the equality of all people business and economy is not controlled by government America focus focuses on the individual him ethics his morals his rights the leadership and the finances.

What is in the conservative platform?

▶ Watch this part (1:00)

Short answer: He lists conservative positions as liberty from control of government, gun rights, a balanced budget, lower taxes, energy from all sources, the Constitution and Bill of Rights as supreme law, life beginning at conception, marriage between a man and a woman, the death penalty, school vouchers, religious freedom, and helping people off long-term welfare to become self-sufficient.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:00 The conservatives also believe that exceptionalism in America is liberty from g— control of government they believe in the second amendment gun rights no illegal alien rights or citizenship for their kids born here they want to appeal Obamacare affirmative action Fannie Mae and Fanny Mack they want to reduce the national debt balance the budget resist socialism audit the federal reserve bank lower taxes and stop exporting jobs out of America and and they want practical energy from all sources wind, hydro power coal solar nuclear and they want domestic and offshore drilling to still use oil until the technology of the other sources are affordable they want fair trade laws with other nation not biased so that American products are sellable overseas they want a Constitution the Constitution and bill of rights as the supreme law and they want to repeal all laws that infringe on those rights they want English is the only official language they say life begins at conception and ends at natural death they believe in a marriage between a man and a woman they want the United States to separate from the United

▶ 2:21 Nations which is committing atrocities in human rights throughout the world they want the death penalty for crimes that require a death penalty so so far the conservative mano manifesto and the platform are really tangible things they believe in school vouchers so that there’s competition in schools and parents can their kids to the school of their choice they believe in first amendment religious freedom they say and they are right the phrase separation of church and state is not in the Constitution and government should never interfere with religious freedom terrorists they say must be stopped and destroyed by use of intelligent gathering and military force captured terrorists should be treated as prisoners of war and tried in a military court they oppose.

Where do conservatives fit on the political spectrum?

▶ Watch this part (3:15)

Short answer: He gives his figures for conservatives in America and describes a spectrum based on government, with communism, fascism and dictatorship on the far left and anarchy on the far right. He says America is now between liberalism and socialism, Republicans are barely on the right, the Tea Party is right of them, and real Christians are to the right of them but still believe in government with liberty and free enterprise.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 3:15 Longterm term. Welfare and they say these people need to be helped to become. Self-sufficient not dependent on government conservatives and independents are the chief ideology belief groups in America both at 42% in 2012 the conservatives account for 71% of the Republican party and 20% of the Democratic party what are you doing over. There okay so the conservatives are a main belief group in America we’re going to take a look at the political spectrum in America and there’s a lot of spectrums out there but this one is based on government over on the left the far left is communism fascism.

▶ 4:14 Dictatorship over on the right you have anarchy no government the strongest rule the mob rules the gangs rule over on the left you have a focus on community what’s best for the community on the right you have a focus on the individ— idual the individual can rise above the lazy worthless community capitalism is on the right socialist and communist economy and government is on the left the far left is communism then socialists liberals the moderates are in the middle conservatives the libertarians on the right America right now is between liberalism and socialism the Democrats of course on the left Republicans are barely on the right barely the Tea Party is to the right of the Republicans and the Christians the real Christians are to the right of them but we still believe in government with liberty and the free enterprise of course those on the left want to raise taxes and so that they can keep everybody equal financially the people on the right want lower taxes so the individual can invest and excel to the best of his skilled abilities now how many of these platform items have they accomplished since 1960 zero how many

Why haven’t conservative goals been accomplished since 1960?

▶ Watch this part (5:45)

Short answer: He says none of the platform items have been accomplished since 1960, and asks whether the Republican party flatters conservatives but promotes moderates, and whether conservatives have faith without moral works. He says moderates are called more electable, yet moderate candidates lost.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 5:45 did America have at one point and lost them. Numerous most of these things they believed in America at one point had and lost the conclusion is this could it be that the Republican party flatters the conservatives but promotes the moderates like the Democrats promote liberal and secular humanism and flatter the conservatives that’s conclusion number one conclusion number two could it be we haven’t reached any of these platform items because conservatives have faith without moral works. Hindering the accomplishments especially from divine authority. Now the Republican party really uh promotes moderates and they say that moderates are more electable than conservatives but you got Bob Dole lost, McCain lost and Romney lost so much for.

What do moderates believe?

▶ Watch this part (6:46)

Short answer: He says moderates claim to use reason, not religion, and so are anti-religion; they treat all sex choices as a civil right, want to legalize drugs, allow abortion up to 22 weeks, refuse to legislate morals and want UN consent for military force. He says the real differences between conservatives and moderates are on issues of morality.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 6:46 Moderates the moderates say they use reason not religion to come to conclusion so immediately they are. Anti-religion anti- Christian they believe in all sex choices as a civil right and they get that from reason they ought to read the facts on sexual choices the destruction of it they want to legalize drugs especially marijuana and reduce the inmates in prison but they want to punish severely crimes under the influence of these drugs they believe in capital punishment when there is re irrefutable evidence they believe that that violent crimes and child crimes should be harshly punished and others go to work centers they believe in free education through college to age 20 they believe that the woman has a right to an abortion up to 22 weeks when they say the b the baby can live outside the womb they don’t believe in forcing morals on people through legislation or any other way no legislation of morals they want to wean nations off foreign aid and the military force they want the UN to give consent to use our military.

▶ 8:08 Force that’s the moderates they believe in political funding for all candidates and limited terms except for the president they believe in small government by privatizing government agencies and government jobs they believe in gun rights except automatic and war weapons they believe in free health care through age 20 and old over 69 and employers pay the healthcare in between they believe in securing the border citizenship to hardworking illegals deport criminal illegals no citizenship for their babies born here they want to stop exporting jobs and bring those exported back yay for the moderates they want you to buy American they want a strong military they want a fair trade with other nations they want fair wages based on hard work and a skill level and they are for the free enterprise system they want a basic flat rate tax they want to reduce and eliminate carbon emissions so the real differences between the conservatives and moderates are six abortion sexual immorality other morals legalized drugs free health care the UN consent for the military so basically they disagree with conservatives on issues of morality.

What is a Christian, a believer and a follower of Jesus?

▶ Watch this part (9:33)

Short answer: He says the suffix “-ian” means to belong to, come from, be involved with or be like, so Christians belong to Christ and are like Christ, while a believer believes in Jesus Christ and the Bible and a follower follows him. From John 8:31 he says belief is not discipleship; continuing in his word makes you a disciple and sets you free.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 9:33 That is the big difference and that is a big difference so let’s look at the Bible and Jesus. Followers Bible and Jesus believers and Christians we’re going to define what a follower of Jesus in the Bible is believer in Jesus in the Bible and we’re going to define what a Christian is first of all you need to understand that 78% of the United States claim to be Christians 90% of the United States claim to believe in God the suffix I. N means to belong to come from involved with or be like so Christians belong to Christ come from Christ involved with Christ and are like Christ that’s what a Christian is the suffix e.

▶ 10:30 Designates or indicates what a person is I am a believer a believer in what a believer in Jesus Christ and the Bible I am a follower I follow Jesus Christ and the Bible. So let’s give a test to see if conservatives and moderates are really Christians are they really. Followers. Are they really. Christians in their ideology their belief system John 8:31 Jesus plainly said to the Jews who believed on him if you continue in my word you are my disciples indeed and you shall know the truth and the truth so set you free so belief is not truth believe is not freedom and belief is not discipleship following the word is following.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

John 8:31-32 (NKJV)

Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Does the Bible treat the baby in the womb as a person?

▶ Watch this part (11:40)

Short answer: From Exodus 21:22 he says that if fighting men hit a pregnant woman and there is serious injury it is life for life, so the baby is considered a person in the womb. He cites Second Kings 8:12, compares mass abortion to genocide, says self-control is the way to go, and concludes moderates fail the test on this issue.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 11:40 Truth and making you a disciple and you find freedom test number one on abortion Christian or not a Christian Exodus 21:22 says if men are fighting and hit a pregnant woman fighting men hit a pregnant woman that’s just disgusting and she gives birth prematurely but there’s no serious injury the offender must be fined but there if there serious injury you must take life for life tooth for tooth. And injury for injury so the baby is considered a person in the womb with the penalty of death if it is killed 2 Kings 8:12 [unclear] the prophet said you’re going to dash Israel’s children and you’re going to rip rip open the women with children and the guy says am I a dog that I would do this thing the prophet says you’re going to be king and this is what you’re going to do and he did and he thought it was disgusting until he was.

▶ 12:45 King so mass murder of babies in the womb is like genocide of Jews Armenians, kulaks in Russia asians pagans. Christians asians and China, ch— [unclear] in North Korea that were just massively slaughtered genocide and many other groups so I submit to you in the area of abortion self-control is the way to. Go and our conclusion. Is. Moderates have failed the test of christianity on this issue now we’re going to take another look look at a test on sexual immorality. Homosexuality pedophilia or sex with children and so forth that’s going to be our next test. In Matthew 19:18

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Exodus 21:22-23 (NKJV)

“If men fight, and hurt a woman with child, so that she gives birth prematurely, yet no harm follows, he shall surely be punished accordingly as the woman’s husband imposes on him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. But if any harm follows, then you shall give life for life,

— 2 Kings 8:12-13 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:25

What did Jesus say about sexual immorality and marriage?

▶ Watch this part (13:44)

Short answer: He says Jesus listed adultery with murder and stealing in Matthew 19:18, and in Mark 10:6 said that from the beginning God made them male and female, so marriage is between a man and a woman. From Leviticus 18:22 he says sex is to be kept between a man and a woman, and again that self-control is the way to go.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 13:44 Jesus said, Jesus said you should not murder you should not commit adultery steal bear false witness and you got to love your neighbor as yourself do no harm to others so he included adultery sexual immorality. In the list of murder and stealing moderates liberals and all will agree stealing is wrong murder is wrong but sexual immorality is okay in Mark 10:6 Jesus also said this from the beginning of creation God made them male and female and for this reason shall a man leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife so Jesus said from the very beginning marriage was between a man and a woman Jesus himself said that not only is adultery wrong sexual immorality are wrong homosexuality are wrong sex with kids is wrong.

▶ 14:42 But marriage between a man and a man and a woman and a woman is not morally acceptable either Leviticus 18:22 you shall not have sex with a male or an animal as with a woman he makes it very clear that sex is to be kept between a man and a woman. So I submit to you that sexual perversion of any kind violates truth marriage is only with a male and a female 50% of Americans have a sexually transmitted. Disease 30,000 die every year from these diseases and there are 30 new diseases from the sex revolution in the 60s again I submit to you self-control is the way to go and the conclusion is the moderates are not Christian neither are they rational neither are they using scientific.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 19:18-19 (NKJV)

He said to Him, “Which ones?” Jesus said, “‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”

What does the Bible say about alcohol and drugs?

▶ Watch this part (15:38)

Short answer: He reads Proverbs 23:29-35 and says it shows drink is addicting, that drugs are destructive, and legalizing them will bring destruction to America. From First Corinthians 5:11 he says the New Testament tells Christians not to eat with a brother who is a drunkard, and gives his figures for alcohol and drug deaths.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 15:38 Reason on this. Issue Christian or not a Christian another test alcohol drugs legalized or approved Proverbs 23:29 who has woe who has sorrow who has contentions complaints wounds without a cause redness redness of eyes those who linger at wine [unclear] drink don’t look at the wine when it sparkles in the cup swirls smoothly because in the end it bites like a serpent stings like a viper and your eyes shall behold strange things yes you will be like one who lies down in the midst of the sea like one who lies at the top of a mast saying they have struck me and I didn’t feel a thing they have beaten me and I don’t feel any pain and when shall I awake from this last uh uh binge of alcohol that I may seek another drink.

▶ 16:30 So Proverbs is saying it’s addicting drugs are addicting drugs are. Destructive and to legalize them is going to bring destruction in America 1 Corinthians 5:11 if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator sexual immoral or a greedy person or an idolator or a one that puts down other people with his mouth or a drunkard or extortioner uses his authority or power to get people to do what they want them to do with such do not eat so the New Testament says Christians just don’t do these things 85,000 die every year from alcohol related deaths 4 million injuries and 50% of Americans don’t even drink 177,000 drug related deaths every year 1 million inj injuries and 54% of Americans never use drugs I submit to you again self-control is the way to go.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Proverbs 23:29-35 (NKJV)

Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has contentions? Who has complaints? Who has wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes? Those who linger long at the wine, Those who go in search of mixed wine. Do not look on the wine when it is red, When it sparkles in the cup, When it swirls around smoothly; At the last it bites like a serpent, And stings like a viper. Your eyes will see strange things, And your heart will utter perverse things. Yes, you will be like one who lies down in the midst of the sea, Or like one who lies at the top of the mast, saying: “They have struck me, but I was not hurt; They have beaten me, but I did not feel it. When shall I awake, that I may seek another drink?”

Should morals be legislated?

▶ Watch this part (17:29)

Short answer: He answers the claim that you cannot legislate morals with Deuteronomy 4:8, saying God started and will end with moral laws, and Isaiah 5:20 and 10:1, saying unrighteous decrees bring woe on a nation. From First Timothy 1:9-10 he says the law is made for the lawless, including men stealers, so the Bible does not approve slavery, and morals are what should be legislated.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 17:29 A conclusion moderates are not Christians. Nor using scientific rationale reasoning on this. Issue Christian or not Christian test another test you can’t force or legislate morals on other people can’t make moral laws Deuteronomy 4:8 what nation is there so great God is speaking to Israel that has such statutes and righteous judgment as are in all this law that I set before you this day God started with moral laws and he will end with moral laws Isaiah 5:20 woe to them that call evil good and good evil wise in their own eyes which justify the wicked for reward and take away the righteousness of the righteousness from him Isaiah 10:1 woe to them that decree unrighteous decrees unrighteous ruling unrighteous verdicts so Isaiah saying legislating immorality brings woe destruction harm on the nation and on the people that follow it and moral laws will bless the nation 1 Timothy 1:9 the law is not made for the righteous man but for the lawless for the immoral the ungodly the disobedient the sinners the criminals the murderers the whoremongers which here is a male prostitute for them that defile themselves with mankind which is a homosexual or for men stealers which is people that put people in slavery for liars or any other thing contrary to

▶ 18:59 sound doctrine these people that say the Bible approves of slavery right here it says no. Way the law was made for people that believed in slavery to keep them from putting people in slavery as well as homosexual. Activity I submit to you morals are what should be legislated and moderates fail the test on this. Issue it’s also scientific as legalized and moral murder stealing and violence is not scientifically productive but destructive.

What does he say about UN consent and government health care?

▶ Watch this part (19:35)

Short answer: He cites Second Chronicles 19:2 on helping the ungodly and First Samuel 8:18 on Israel wanting a king like the other nations. From Second Thessalonians 3:10, First Timothy 5:8 and Matthew 9:12 he says a physician is paid like a mechanic or plumber, so government should not pay for health care; government is meant for judiciary and military issues.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 19:35 So self-control again I submit to you self-control is the way to. Go Christians are not a Christian in the area of the United Nations military consent and government healthc care 2 Chronicles 19:2 should you help the ungodly and love them that hate the Lord there is wrath come up on you from the Lord Jehoshaphat joined in an alliance with a wicked nation of Israel and they lost the battle 1st Samuel 8:18 they want a king they want to be like the other nations they want a king to judge them and a judicial system and fight their battles and God says you’re going to cry out when you get a dictator when you get a king cuz he ain’t going to stop at just a judicial system and a military and God was right 2 Thessalonians 3:10 if any would not work neither should he eat 1 Timothy 5:8 if anyone does not provide for his own self and especially for those of his household he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever Matthew 9:12 they that are sick need a physician I submit to you they that have a broken car need a mechanic they that have a bad plumbing in their house need a plumber an illiterate person needs a teacher and a sinner needs Jesus and the sick need a physician position they are all occupations that to be paid for for their services and if government does not pay for our mechanic and

▶ 21:05 our plumber they shouldn’t be paying for a physici— USA doesn’t need ungodly UN permission to defend itself government is meant for judiciary and military issues period not health care retirement welfare and so forth 102 million Americans that can work aren’t 101 million Americans are on federal aid $18 trillion we are in debt from this non— the conclusion is simple moderat— aren’t Christian aren’t Bible followers on this. Issue the conservatives haven’t. Beat why haven’t these conservative platform items been accomplished since 1960 as we said like the Democratic party the Republican party sweet talks conservatives and promotes immorality and immoral moderates.

Why does he say many conservatives are “in name only”?

▶ Watch this part (21:59)

Short answer: He says many conservatives have faith without moral works: divorce, adultery, abortion, welfare and supporting what they oppose, and bad men correcting bad men only works if both are corrected. From Judges 20 he says Israel lost two battles avenging a crime until they sought God, fasted and got their act together, so conservatives have got to buck up.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 21:59 We are conservatives in name only. CINOs many conservatives have faith without moral works we have a high divorce rate adultery rate we get abortions we are on welfare we don’t work we support gays and liberals we when bad men correcting bad men it only works if both are corrected and in Judges 6 and 1 it says Israel sinned against the Lord and Judges 20. The Benjamites raped and killed a Israelite woman so the Israelites came down with their army to avenge this horrible sin this horrible crime and they lost the first two battles and after each one they went and and sought God and fasted and prayed they got their act together then God used them to judge the other.

And the men of Israel went out to battle against Benjamin, and the men of Israel put themselves in battle array to fight against them at Gibeah. Then the children of Benjamin came out of Gibeah, and on that day cut down to the ground twenty-two thousand men of the Israelites. And the people, that is, the men of Israel, encouraged themselves and again formed the battle line at the place where they had put themselves in array on the first day. Then the children of Israel went up and wept before the LORD until evening, and asked counsel of the LORD, saying, “Shall I again draw near for battle against the children of my brother Benjamin?” And the LORD said, “Go up against him.” So the children of Israel approached the children of Benjamin on the second day. And Benjamin went out against them from Gibeah on the second day, and cut down to the ground eighteen thousand more of the children of Israel; all these drew the sword. Then all the children of Israel, that is, all the people, went up and came to the house of God and wept. They sat there before the LORD and fasted that day until evening; and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD. So the children of Israel inquired of the LORD (the ark of the covenant of God was there in those days, and Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, stood before it in those days), saying, “Shall I yet again go out to battle against the children of my brother Benjamin, or shall I cease?” And the LORD said, “Go up, for tomorrow I will deliver them into your hand.”

How do followers of Jesus and the Bible differ from conservatives and moderates?

▶ Watch this part (22:55)

Short answer: He says you cannot just say you believe; followers of Jesus and the Bible do not compromise and make no immoral deals. He says baby Christians are carnal and need correction, not execution, and their sins are forgiven, and he asks whether Americans today will suffer and die for Bible morality as historical Christians did.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 22:55 Criminal so conservatives have got to buck up. Can’t just say you believe you got to act on it can’t be a CINO conservative in name only or Christian in name only the difference between Jesus and Bible followers and Christians and conservatives and moderates is these people do not compromise no moral Democrat no immoral Democrat I should say or Republican moderate deals we make no deals baby Christians and [unclear] Christians they need correction just like humanists do not execution a baby Christian the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 3 is fleshly carnal they argue they divide they quarrel and they sin but their sins are forgiven, First John says these people understand that moral laws and punishment of evildoers is how all can live together to the end of time historical Christians have suffered and died for Bible morality.

I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?

About this transcript

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added from the speaker’s pauses and then corrected by hand, and obvious caption errors (names, Bible references) were fixed; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor notes: This is a radio-style session titled “Clarity on Crucial Choices.” Some references are spoken as run-together numbers in the captions and were written out: “2 Chronicles 192” as 2 Chronicles 19:2, “1st Samuel 818” as 1 Samuel 8:18, “1 Timothy 5 8” as 1 Timothy 5:8. At 12:44 the name of the man the prophet speaks to in 2 Kings 8:12 was not clear in the captions (the passage names Hazael). Some passages are quoted without naming the reference (e.g. Judges 20, 1 John 2:12); the linked references are the passages he refers to. Statistics, percentages and political claims are given as spoken and have not been checked. Select any time to jump to that moment on YouTube.
