From the sermonDid They Live It? · Pastor David G. Kincer▶ 0:00

Pastor David G. Kincer asks whether the apostles lived up to Romans 8—nothing can separate us—and shows from Paul’s sufferings that they did. He gives five reasons: a personal encounter with Jesus, Jesus praying for them, ongoing conversion, opened understanding and the power of the Holy Ghost. With the word and the gifts of the Spirit they turned a hostile world upside down, and he says the church can do the same in America.

What does it mean to act like men?

▶ Watch this part (0:00)

Short answer: Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men—full-grown, courageous champions—and let all you do be done in love. God is looking for “men,” male or female, who will stand courageously.

▶ 0:00 Be watchful be alert. Stand firm in the faith act. Conduct yourself like men full-grown brave courageous champions oh yeah women need a man oh yeah and in the kingdom God is looking for men male or female. That will stand courageously amen alleluia. Well all that you do be done in love now. The apostles make a very strong statement in. Romans chapter eight very strong statement very strong declaration.

What can separate us from Christ’s love?

▶ Watch this part (0:53)

Short answer: Romans 8:35–37: tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril or sword? No—in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. The question is whether the apostles lived it, and how.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 0:53 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ Jesus shall tribulation. Shall distress. Shall persecution. Shall famine lost my job the economy’s down people are mistreating me I’m depressed. Nakedness I don’t have enough clothes to keep me warm and I don’t have enough clothes to keep me from the elements destroying my body dangers of robbers. Dangers of people that don’t like me because of my religion or my skin color or my nationality or what. The sword wars. He said no.

Scripture (NKJV)

Romans 8:35-37 (NKJV)

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

— Romans 8:35-37 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:53 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

What did Paul endure?

▶ Watch this part (1:46)

Short answer: 2 Corinthians 11:24–29: five times 39 stripes, beaten with rods three times, stoned once, shipwrecked three times, in perils of robbers, countrymen, heathen and false brethren, hunger, thirst, cold and nakedness. He never backslid, misused money or changed the doctrine to please people.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:46 No nothing can separate us the apostles and the church in all these things we are what more than conquerors. Champion acting like men. Spiritual men through him that loved us now the question is did the apostles live up to it and if they did live up to it how did they do it is that a good question I’ll see if they did it and I can find out what made it worked for them then it will work for me alright so in second Corinthians chapter 11. Verses 24 through 29 we find the apostle Paul describing.

▶ 2:42 His life okay of the Jews five times I received 40 stripes less. 15 times he got 39 stripes folks that serious business. That five times not only that but I was beaten three times with rods. Once I was stone and God of course we all know raised him up three times I was shipwrecked and in the sea a day and a night floating on a piece of wood or treading water or what happened with the sharks all around I’m in danger of floods I’ve been in danger of robbers wanting to rob me of my own countrymen because I changed my belief in God I believe in Jesus now the heathen.

▶ 3:44 They want to harm me peril means in danger be harmed in danger of harm because I’m changing people from their false religion their false ideas to the living God Jesus I’m in danger in the city and in the country I’m in danger of the sea and among false brethren I’m. Tired. Worn out from laboring so hard and I’m tired from the hardships that I gotta go through to get this job done of building Christ’s church. I have many sleepless nights. I’ve gone. Hungry. Thirsty I.

▶ 4:36 was forced into fasts without food and water often. I’ve been in the cold and I’ve been in nakedness. Now that’s a pretty powerful testimony. Nothing shall separate him from the love of God through Christ our Lord he was more than a conqueror [unclear] he acted like a man a full-grown spiritual man not a wimpy baby believer he never backslid. He never had a nervous breakdown like a lot of ministers do and got to take a sabbatical. He never committed sexual sin running off with the church secretary or whatever he never.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

2 Corinthians 11:24-29 (NKJV)

From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness— besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: my deep concern for all the churches. Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation?

— 2 Corinthians 11:24-29 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 2:32

How did Paul respond to rejection?

▶ Watch this part (5:32)

Short answer: Through special miracles all Asia heard the gospel, yet the believers he led rejected him; he never got depressed, quit or attacked them. The apostles were beaten and imprisoned—he says John was tarred and feathered and Bartholomew flayed—yet none denied Christ.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 5:32 Misused the church’s money or asked for money he never was found in intoxication sin alcohol or drugs or whatever he never changed the doctrines of Christ and the doctrines of the prophets to please people. Stood firm. All of Asia’s believers that he led to Christ through special miracles when he was in Asia the whole nation from one location heard the gospel of Christ without tv and radio the Bible says very powerful statement they were comin why because of the miracles the special miracles that come to see they heard the gospel pow they got saved.

▶ 6:27 Alleluia. He led them to Christ and they rejected him the very believers that he was influential over rejected him and he never got depressed he never quit and he never attacked them. Ain’t that beautiful. Absolutely. He never replied wrong nor did he quit teaching the gospel to sinners and edifying the church. Folks that’s more than a conqueror that’s someone with spiritual maturity that God wants us all to grow to and get out of the baby stage in the childhood stage and stand for God so they did back up what they said here is a picture of all the apostles and when you read their stories they were beaten they were put in prison John was tarred and feathered which would kill most people and then they banished him to the isle of Patmos all right.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Acts 19:10-11 (NKJV)

And this continued for two years, so that all who dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks. Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul,

Scripture (NKJV)

2 Timothy 1:15 (NKJV)

This you know, that all those in Asia have turned away from me, among whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.

— 2 Timothy 1:15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:57 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

What is the first reason they stood firm?

▶ Watch this part (7:40)

Short answer: Luke 22:31: Simon, Satan has desired to sift you as wheat. Jesus had a personal encounter with Peter, as he wants with you; too many join Christianity without a new birth. Satan is permitted to toss us to shake our faith.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 7:40 Bartholomew was flayed he was skinned alive and then crucified and yet none of these men. Denounced Christ or change their faith in Christ or stop preaching truth. They did back up what they said nothing can separate us nothing amen and who God wants us all to be. Full grown and act like men now the question is how did these guys attain to that kind of caliber. All right very important. Are you ready church. Luke 22:31.

▶ 8:36 Number one reason out of 5 the beginning reason Jesus said to Simon Peter. Here is a personal encounter alright that Jesus is having with Peter just like he wants to come to you personally. He wants to personally have an encounter with you alright remember at the beginning Jesus saw Peter and said what follow me personal encounter and I will make you fishers of men I’ll do something with your life. We need that personal encounter too many people are joining christianity without a personal encounter without a new birth without the Holy Spirit coming and convicting them drawing them and birthing them and when you have a bad.

▶ 9:36 Birth. You hinder the growth of that baby. All right and this is what Jesus said to Simon.. Satan has desired you. The word desires very strong he has demanded he has requested and demanded and I. Gave him what he asked for it’s all in that word. Satan has desired you and I agreed to sift you as wheat. Sift you as wheat wheat as you know in those days it was brought out of the field and they winnowed it they winnowed it by trampling on it running a stone wheel over it and so forth and trampling it and then they would throw it up and the wind would carry the light particles away that’s the winnowing the sifting is they put the wheat in a sifter.

▶ 10:42 But. Because they use stone. to grind that wheat down to make flour then there was particles of stone. And mix with the wheat okay so what did I do when they sift it they would throw it up they have a a sifter and they would throw it up toss it about. Say and that’s what Satan wants to do to Peter he wants to toss Peter toss him up in the air.

▶ 11:40 Disrupt his life. Not to get rid of the bad stuff. [unclear] they did it to keep the good wheat but Satan wants to get rid of your faith in God he wants to get rid of your water baptism he wants to get rid of your repentance from dead work he wants to come and he wants to attack you and tell you like me when I was younger said you didn’t really nothing really happened you didn’t really get saved last night okay what’s he doing he’s tossing me and Jesus gave him permission to do that what’s the key here Satan’s been given permission to toss me around.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Luke 22:31 (NKJV)

And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.

— Luke 22:31 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:40

What is the second reason?

▶ Watch this part (12:38)

Short answer: Luke 22:32: I have prayed for you that your faith fail not. Hebrews 7:25: he is able to save to the uttermost, since he always lives to make intercession for them—Jesus is praying for you.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 12:38 Number two I have prayed for you well that makes a big difference I. Have prayed for you Peter that your faith fail not and how many know Jesus’ prayer is going to be answered yes that’s why Jesus could say go ahead toss him. him and his are stuck like glue you can’t break anything away from Peter ain’t that beautiful now a lot of Christians don’t even understand this and either that or they don’t want it they don’t want the trial the tribulation coming that fine tunes them and shows them where their faith is are you there but these men that’s the second step they went through you see you got to fight this fight of faith ain’t that what the Bible says well number two Hebrews 7:25 he is able to save totally to the utmost completely saved deliver set free those who come to God by him since he always lives to make what intercession for them Jesus is up there praying for you folks he’s talking to the Father oh now John you got to be patient

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Luke 22:32 (NKJV)

But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”

— Luke 22:32 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:39 (quoted; reference not named in the message)
Scripture (NKJV)

Hebrews 7:25 (NKJV)

Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

— Hebrews 7:25 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 13:40

What is the third reason?

▶ Watch this part (14:08)

Short answer: When you are converted, strengthen your brethren. Peter had healed and preached but still needed more change—he denied Christ and went back to fishing. 2 Corinthians 3:18: beholding his glory as in a mirror, we are changed from glory to glory by the Spirit.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 14:08 with him come on now he’s doing good he stumbled every once in a while but we pick him back up am I right he’s up there and Satan tries to do something that John can’t handle it Satan hey no no that’s not allowed you got to wait till it can handle that before you can do that. Are you there he’s up there interceding for you and that makes everything different hello. Now. Number three when you are converted. Yes converting means changed in attitude and beliefs and behavior so here’s Peter.

▶ 15:01 Peter had been casting out demons folks Peter had been healing the sick Peter had been preaching the gospel and people getting saved Peter had been listening to Christ teach for three and a half years and Jesus you know came and said when you converted. Strengthen your brethren and so we got to go through more change. You know getting saved this good from our sin but we’ve got to start growing into a spiritual whole man a whole person amen and so. They accepted that and Peter went through some tough things you remember he denied Christ alright he’s the one said oh let’s go fishing [unclear] go back to our old lifestyle he’s the one said all that did he need more conversion absolutely Jesus was right do you need more conversion yes and who can do it Jesus can do it in you if you seek him and accept it if you think that just because you said the sinner’s prayer everything is fine there’s nothing else I got to do you’re going to be a baby Christian the rest of your life.

▶ 16:30 You need more conversion and they accepted more conversion they accepted more change Peter kept accepting change all right. Second Corinthians 3:18 we all beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord are being changed into the same image from glory to glory by the spirit of the Lord folks the spirit is very important the Holy Spirit is very important see we look in a mirror and then we see the wrinkles we see the gray hair I mean you know man what happened what happened after 50 years okay and then. We really see.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Luke 22:32 (NKJV)

But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”

— Luke 22:32 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:45 (quoted; reference not named in the message)
Scripture (NKJV)

2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV)

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

— 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:30

What should we look for in the Bible?

▶ Watch this part (17:24)

Short answer: The word is a mirror of Jesus Christ; from Genesis to Revelation it is about him. We see his attitude, character and doctrine so God can change us into the same image.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 17:24 Now we see the pimples and oh man the blemishes the moles and everything. Alright we use a mirror to see ourselves the Bible uses the word a mirror as a reflection of Jesus Christ if you read that Bible you study that Bible you’re going to see the glory of Jesus Christ and if you’re looking for something else God help you.

What is the fourth reason?

▶ Watch this part (17:58)

Short answer: Luke 24:45: he opened their understanding to understand the Scriptures. After three and a half years they still didn’t understand the leaven of the Pharisees, foot washing or his death; once they understood, they could obey and be a light.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 17:58 That book is about Jesus from Genesis 1 to Revelation the last chapter it’s about Jesus Christ get up off of your high horse and start looking for Jesus alright see his attributes see his attitude see his doctrine see all these things because God wants to change you into the same image he wants you to get into the word and see what Jesus is and then he wants to make you just like him outside of being able to create and being able to save people you can’t save people you can preach to people he’s the savior he’s the creator but in attitude and character we can be like him Luke 24:45 then opened he their understanding that they might understand the scriptures this is after he died and he rose again.

▶ 19:05 Three and a half years he talked them personally three and a half year he they listen to him teach the multitudes for three and a half years and yet they didn’t understand what the doctrine of the Pharisees was I mean the leaven of the Pharisees was they didn’t understand when he said beware the leaven of the Pharisees that he was talking about the doctrines of the Pharisee doctrines do make a difference they didn’t understand when he washed their feet no you can’t wash my feet Peter [unclear] Peter again hard-headed Peter no you can’t wash my feet. He didn’t understand that Jesus came not to be served but to serve not to be ministered to but the minister they didn’t understand that he had to die and rise the third day he told them over and over no [unclear] you can’t die Peter [unclear] here’s Peter again he’s always active you can’t die Lord and Jesus said to Peter get behind me Satan.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Luke 24:45 (NKJV)

And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.

— Luke 24:45 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 17:58
Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 16:23 (NKJV)

But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”

— Matthew 16:23 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 20:07 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

What is the fifth reason?

▶ Watch this part (20:11)

Short answer: Acts 1:8: you shall receive power after the Holy Ghost comes upon you, and be witnesses—power to live a life that proves Jesus is God. Acts 2:4: they spoke with tongues as the Spirit gave utterance. Tongues are a sign to unbelievers; not all speak in tongues, but forbid not.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 20:11 You don’t understand the things of God here are you with me church. Hallelujah. But after he rose from the dead he opened their understanding to understand the scriptures and when you understand the scriptures you can obey the scriptures and the scriptures and not only set you free but make you a light to others that they can find that same freedom. Alleluia. Number 5 Acts 1:8 you shall receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you. You shall receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you folks remember these guys were doing healings they were they were healing the sick they were casting out demons they had authority and they were preaching the word with authority and people were getting saved I mean to Christ they didn’t have this power of the Holy Spirit yet.

▶ 21:25 But they still had power and as Pentecostals and charismatic we say the power comes with the baptism oh these guys had power before they were baptized in the Holy Ghost the baptism of Holy Ghost is a baptism of power he goes on to say you shall be witnesses unto me it’s the power to live a life that is the evidence that Jesus is God he is the way the truth and the life and that his word is true the power to live his word Acts 2:4 they were all filled with the Holy Ghost not only the apostles but a hundred and eight more and they spoke with other tongues languages as the spirit gave them utterance here’s that spirit again if the spirit isn’t given the utterance you haven’t got anything to say and stop going on last week’s experience or last month’s experience if the spirit isn’t saying anything you just praise God that’s always okay.

▶ 22:38 Worship him the word is spirit and when you’re you know praising him like the Bible says and honoring Jesus like the Bible says he’s King of kings and Lord of lords and all that that’s spirit the word is spirit am I right Paul says I speak in tongues more than you all. And yet in the church I would rather speak five words was understanding so Paul didn’t speak in tongues in the church so where did he speak them out there among the pagans out there among the heathen where their language was different and he spoke in their language. Are you guys out there. And. Tongues are a sign to the unbeliever so if tongues [unclear] works.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Acts 1:8 (NKJV)

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

— Acts 1:8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 20:11
Scripture (NKJV)

Acts 2:4 (NKJV)

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

— Acts 2:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 21:25
Scripture (NKJV)

1 Corinthians 14:18-19 (NKJV)

I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all; yet in the church I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that I may teach others also, than ten thousand words in a tongue.

— 1 Corinthians 14:18-19 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 23:00 (quoted; reference not named in the message)
Scripture (NKJV)

1 Corinthians 14:22 (NKJV)

Therefore tongues are for a sign, not to those who believe but to unbelievers; but prophesying is not for unbelievers but for those who believe.

— 1 Corinthians 14:22 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 23:33 (quoted; reference not named in the message)
Scripture (NKJV)

1 Corinthians 14:39 (NKJV)

Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues.

— 1 Corinthians 14:39 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 23:33 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

What was the result?

▶ Watch this part (23:34)

Short answer: Acts 17:6: these who have turned the world upside down have come here too. Acts 24:5: Paul was called a troublemaker and ringleader of a sect. In a hostile Rome and hostile religion they changed Jews and pagans, and the same can happen in America.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 23:34 So these five things. Is. What happened to these apostles not one of them all five so what is the result of a Jesus encounter Jesus praying for us a further change in our life understanding the scriptures and getting baptized of the Holy Ghost with speaking in tongues it’s okay to speak in tongue Paul said forbid not to speak in tongues I mean how plain can you get. But not everybody speaks in tongues Paul said that do all speak in tongues no lighten up amen. And. Then he sent them to preach the gospel to all mankind okay Acts 17:6 these who have turned the world upside down have come here also he’s in Thessalonica they don’t want him here the Jews don’t want him there and they said what these apostles who have turned the world upside down they had reached a whole known world.

▶ 24:45 With the gospel of Jesus Christ without TV without radio without a cell phone I can’t imagine anything being done without a cell phone without a computer. Whoo. That’s the result wouldn’t we like that result today. Alleluia. Acts 24:5 we have found this man trouble a troublemaker a creator talking about the apostle Paul. a creator of dissension among all the Jews throughout the what the world he’s he he’s messing up the Jewish religion he wasn’t messing it up he was changing them from their shadow stuff to the real thing Jesus and they want to stay they wanted to stay in their traditions and their shadows and their culture and Jesus came and fulfilled them all and he’s improving the religion but the ones who want to stay don’t like it alright he’s a ringleader see he’s a sect he’s a cult oh man oh these guys you know they’re there they’re a cult don’t don’t go near them.

▶ 26:12 So in a hostile nation. The roman empire we showed you last week with a hostile nation a hostile government. The things that’s going on in America right now was going on in a roman empire and yet the apostles turn the world upside down in a hostile government here a hostile religion a hostile Jewish religion that would not accept change.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Acts 17:6 (NKJV)

But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the rulers of the city, crying out, “These who have turned the world upside down have come here too.

— Acts 17:6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 24:24
Scripture (NKJV)

Acts 24:5 (NKJV)

For we have found this man a plague, a creator of dissension among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes.

— Acts 24:5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 24:45

Can believers change a pagan nation’s laws?

▶ Watch this part (26:51)

Short answer: Daniel 3:28–29: three men who would not worship another god changed the king’s word, and he decreed religious freedom. Esther risked her life—if I perish, I perish—to intercede for her people. He says Rome under Constantine gave Christians religious liberty.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 26:51 They persecuted hurt and killed. Those who taught the truth all right and yet in spite of these Jewish hostilities and the roman government hostilities these apostles change the Jews and they change the pagans the government couldn’t do anything about it false religion couldn’t do anything about it and I submit to you that our corrupt government in DC right now cannot stop a people that follow God and get born again get Jesus understands Jesus is praying for them get more conversion in their life get the power the Holy Ghost get their mind open to understand the scripture look out Washington we’re going to change America Jesus will change America not the Democrats not the Republicans not the liberals not the conservatives Jesus and his word will change America through a church who will pursue him now let’s go back to Daniel and remember in Daniel they got religious freedom in a pagan nation and change bad laws in that pagan nation all right I’m showing you this because there’s too many people that were saying America’s doomed it’s over with we’re going to be going into tribulation and persecuted so we can get back to God and all the rest I want to show you

▶ 28:22 that through following Christ and preaching his word we can change America. Without God all that nonsense. Daniel 3:28 they changed the king’s word these guys changed the king’s word with the law when though the king spoke a word it was law right that was the law they changed the law they yielded their bodies not to serve or worship any God except their own God. Therefore I this is the king talking the king of Babylon I make a decree all people all nations and all languages which speak against the God of Shadrach Meshach and Abednego shall be cut in pieces and the houses torn down and made a dunghill. Is that religious freedom.

▶ 29:16 Absolutely. Alleluia. Because three men and Daniel four decided to serve God no matter what they changed the laws of the kingdom they brought religious freedom back to the Jews there and the Jews were actually prosperous in that time when they were sent into captivity they were prosperous there. Alleluia. See our captivity is better than their prosperity out there. God’s always out for his good and we’re part of it well that’s good stuff amen. Hallelujah. Esther did the same thing Esther was a Jewish beautiful Jewish woman according to the Bible I mean she was good-looking and she could have married a handsome Jewish boy lived a normal life and raise kids but she decided to be used of God and marry a pagan king who had many other wives good Lord.

▶ 30:32 And she went into that pagan king and interceded for the Jews her people and she could have lost her life and she said if I perish I perish. But I’m going to go and ask the king to give religious freedom to God’s people and he did and he could have easily have had her killed if I perish I perish wow what a woman huh yeah I especially brought out Esther because I want you to understand in the kingdom when he says a champion man a full-grown man he’s also he’s just talking about the believers male and female has nothing to do with this you understand hallelujah.

▶ 31:27 So Esther did it the roman empire did it and 390 AD the Roman Empire and Constantine passed a law and gave religious liberty to all Christians religious freedom. Hallelujah. Ok we got to stick with Jesus folks it’s not by our might our power our strength but by the spirit the prophet said and that word is spirit those two things work together all right. If apostles and others succeeded and changed a hostile government and a hostile religious environment so can we today. Not only can we vote right and we need but the Bible says for lack of knowledge my people are destroyed most Christians do not understand this stuff they’re just baby Christians in America and babies fight and argue and quarrel all the time and that’s what we do in America so we have a responsibility to get the word out we got to inform them about Bible morality and its power to real success spiritually naturally family financial it’s all there oh.

Therefore I make a decree that any people, nation, or language which speaks anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made an ash heap; because there is no other God who can deliver like this.”

What did God confirm?

▶ Watch this part (32:48)

Short answer: Mark 16:20: they preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word. Not “I believe” or “I think”—God confirmed the word, not the men. On Pentecost tongues as a sign led to 3,000 added.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 32:48 Yeah. Now. They taught Jesus’ death remember he sent them to preach the gospel they taught Jesus’s death burial and resurrection they taught Jesus the doctrines of Jesus and the apostles and the prophets of old and they use Holy Spirit gifts to turn the world upside down okay Mark 16:20 the apostles went forth and preached everywhere folks if they would just went forth nothing would have happened they had to speak the word okay the Lord working with them. Them has been added in your Bible every one of them but the Lord working with the what word is the better word they preached what they preach them.

▶ 33:45 No they preached what the word they preached what the word they didn’t preach well I believe well I think. You know a lot of Christians say well I believe I think all right who cares what you believe in what you think what does Jesus say what did the apostles teach and what did the prophets of old say that’s what we want to hear hallelujah and when they did that God confirmed the what word did he confirm their ministry no he confirm what the word he didn’t confirm them he confirmed the word them is a mistake added by men it’s not even in the transcripts it’s added for clarity and they got the wrong focus can I hear an amen don’t get distracted from the word of God and the Holy Spirit ok now.

How did the gifts of the Spirit bring people to Christ?

▶ Watch this part (34:51)

Short answer: A lame man healed and 5,000 believed; a palsied man healed and Lydda and Sharon turned to the Lord; a sorcerer struck blind and the proconsul believed; Dorcas raised and many believed; Peter’s shadow and multitudes. He says healing hasn’t stopped.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 34:51 We’re working on how these guys turn the world upside down and nothing separated them from the love of God tongues in Acts 2 3000 was added to the Lord the Bible says tongues is a sign for the what unbeliever they spoke in 15 different languages on the day of Pentecost and 3000 was added to Christ through the miraculous ability to speak in a language that they did not know and the church world today wants to argue and fight over languages it just blows my mind are you there. We need to grow up. Secondly. Gifts use gifts of the spirit they taught Jesus’s death and his doctrines and they had the gifts of the spirit healings is a gift of the spirit divine.

▶ 35:47 Ability of the spirit a 40 year old lame man was healed in acts and 5000 came to Christ one healing. 5,000 convert. Wow. Hallelujah and yet fundamentalists say healings and miracles are not for today give me a break God’s not a respecter of persons he loves his church today just like he loved this church throughout the history and if he healed back then he’ll what heal now [unclear] okay at 180 I’m going to stop healing nowhere says that. A man of the palsy was healed and it says in the book of acts that the whole city of Lydda and Sharon two cities came to Christ didn’t give us the number but when this one palsy man was healed to whole cities came to Christ just like that.

▶ 36:59 Let’s say there were 10,000 in each 20 thousand people [unclear] folks that is that powerful but in America we want to argue about it we want to argue about there instead of seeking God and asking God to heal and deliver we want to debate [unclear] ah. Amen the gifts of the spirit are still with us today. Miracles. Paul was on the isle of Paphos [unclear] and he was talking to the leader the governor of that roman area and the sorcerer kept interrupting him and degrading Paul witchdoctor sorcerer and Paul turned to him and says God smite you with blindness bam the guy can’t see.

▶ 37:57 Is that a miracle absolutely bam he can’t see now he can’t talk because he can’t see. guy could have just shut his mouth [unclear]. So the proconsul the governor saw it and came to Christ. See there you have it again miracle salvation you get the connection nah yeah. Now. Dorcas he came to another city and Dorcas a good believer was dead and people were moaning and groaning and wailing and everything they do and Paul comes and says rise woman pow. Dorcas got up rose from the dead served the people wow and it says many believed doesn’t give us a number but many believe oh.

▶ 38:58 There all right Peter’s shadow in Acts. The Bible says multitudes believe when Peter was just walking down the road they would get in his shadow and bam. They’d be healed and that’s right after. Peter spoke Ananias and Sapphira dead because they lied to the Holy Ghost and multitudes believed. Man multitudes wow and we want to get off on these stupid hobbyhorses of men. Are you with me we fight over more what you should wear and shouldn’t wear how you should wear your hair and how you should never wear your hair [unclear] for today [unclear] oh my gosh we just need to let God arise amen.

What other gifts appear in Acts?

▶ Watch this part (39:53)

Short answer: Faith and the word of knowledge with the crippled man at Lystra; wisdom when Stephen’s opponents couldn’t answer; discerning of spirits when Peter rebuked the sorcerer Simon; prophecy by Agabus and the Spirit saying separate me Barnabas and Saul; Philip’s daughters prophesied for edification.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 39:53 get our eyes on Jesus and let him reveal himself in his word to us then we got the word of knowledge and faith there’s a crippled boy from birth crippled man not a boy aah and he had faith the Bible says he had faith to be healed faith is a gift of the spirit and I right so one of the nine gifts of the spirit okay. The apostle saw it the apostle looked at the guy and saw that he had faith word of knowledge he had the knowledge that that guy had faith and so the apostle prayed and that boy was healed that man was healed all right.

▶ 40:46 Alleluia now that was inside a believers a believers group ah. But the pagans around who saw this they wanted to worship Paul and Barnabas and they started making a [unclear] you know doing their little pagan saying and and Peter and Barnabas uh-uh no no no not like ministers today oh yeah oh yeah I’m great oh yeah I have the answer yeah. Yes I’m a great speaker [unclear]. No Paul and Barnabas had no way. You don’t honor men and the religious Jews who were there.

▶ 41:40 Stoned Paul. You don’t always get good reactions I’m telling you. Even a miracle won’t always bring a good reaction the pagans stoned Paul and God raised him back up I mean the religious Jews stoned Paul the pagans they wanted to worship them instead of the message that they brought they wanted to make gods out of Paul and Barnabas. Word of wisdom remember Stephen spoke to the Jews and they could not contradict they could find no answer for the wisdom and the spirit by which he spoke word of wisdom and God said he’s going to restore all thing and I submit to you there’s going to be a restoration of wise men in the church before Jesus come and we’re going to straighten all this nonsense out.

▶ 42:47 Man didn’t Jesus say I’m going to send you prophets and wise men and teachers we’ve seen the prophets we’ve seen the teachers we haven’t seen the wise men yet and it doesn’t have to be a man a wise person. But can you imagine these guys had no answer and they killed Stephen another reaction to a good word and then you got the discerning of spirits when Philip was down there and converted a whole city to Christ a sorcerer was there another witch doctor and he became a believer he repented and he became a believer then Peter came down and Peter said have they received the Holy Ghost and Philip.

▶ 43:42 Said no they haven’t Philip was an evangelist he didn’t have the gift of laying on of hands for people to be filled with the Holy Ghost see if you don’t have it you can’t do it so Peter laid his hands on these people and they were filled with the Holy Ghost the sorcerer who was now a believer baptized he was a baptized believer. He saw what Peter would do and he goes up to Peter and says Peter now give me this gift that I can lay hands on and people get filled with the Holy Ghost see he reverted back to his old sorcery he wanted to be elevated in the people and he could get their money and have them praise him and all that because they and he was a false authority and Peter says man you don’t know what spirit you’re of you’re in danger of hell you better get right with God.

▶ 44:48 Amen. See discerning of the spirit that guy was of the wrong spirit he claimed to believe he had his baptismal certificate but he wasn’t doing what’s right can I hear an amen do we have it in America today oh yes oh yeah. Prophecy Agabus prophesied a famine which came to pass throughout the world the known world and he prophesied Paul’s arrests and persecution under the roman government and it happened that’s what we call the office of a prophet ok they never miss. Never. And [unclear] there was prophets back in the 50s it was amazing what they could prophesy and things happen but then like usual we distort everything and get men involved human humans involved and we.

▶ 45:49 Come up our own little. Doctrines and stuff and God just backs off but in Acts 13 the spirit said separate me Paul and Barnabas for the work whereunto I have called them see that’s prophecy and its purpose and lo and behold they prayed for Paul and Barnabas they went out and multitudes came to Christ from that prophecy you know we graduate him from Bible seminary Bible college and go and nothing happened. We need the Holy Ghost involve is my point I mean I’m not knocking Bible college we need to learn the scriptures but we need the Holy Ghost talking giving direction can I hear an amen hallelujah that’s why worship is so important that we get into the presence of God and get instructions.

▶ 46:52 And philips daughters by the way prophesied now they weren’t in the office of a prophet that was prophecy for edification exhortation and comfort in the body of Christ to build up the believers like Paul said in first Corinthians 14 we understand that the office of prophet is totally different than prophesying for edification exhortation and comfort to build the church of God into mature people alleluia you can make some mistakes there the office of the prophet you can’t make any mistake. All right. Interpretation is never recorded. I’m letting you think on that one. Nowhere is it recorded except Paul saying in the church you got to have interpretation so we know that.

▶ 47:49 Languages can be interpreted in the church all right so you know let’s lighten up on the Pentecostals and charismatics a little bit all right lighten up on us. But nowhere is there a record where it happened and the result of it except. The day of Pentecost but in the day of Pentecost there was no interpreter needed because they spoke in the languages of the people that were there.

▶ 48:25 Just thought I’d throw that out all right now and maybe know the Bible says diversities of tongues not this language but different languages how many know the Bible says we can speak with tongues of men and of angels and I right yeah so Paul wasn’t speaking and a heavenly language if he was talking to heathen was he he was talking in their language and that helped them believe a sign for the unbeliever are you out there but a heavenly language can be interpreted but not necessarily for the unbeliever but tongues can build you up if you speak them the Bible said they don’t edify the other person but it builds you up and if they’re interpreted then it builds the church up and so those heavenly languages and there’s earthly languages can I hear an amen let’s just let God arise is my point today all right now folks if Jesus can do all these things he can heal you and he can free you wherever you’re at in God a baby Christian a child Christian a young adult Christian a [unclear] Christian he can heal you he can free you he can touch you where you need it the most today.

What should believers do now?

▶ Watch this part (49:53)

Short answer: Don’t let the news or parties get you down; there are far more than seven thousand righteous in America. Acts 5:28–29: they were commanded not to teach in Jesus’ name—like America since the 60s—but they answered, we ought to obey God rather than men, and kept preaching.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 49:53 Am I right you don’t have to stay in bondage you don’t have to stay the way you were yesterday if God can do all this. He can fix you up it’s easy for him multitudes come into Christ and he all he’s got to do is work with you. Amen so don’t let the news get you down don’t let the presidential candidates get you down don’t let the parties the Democrats and Republicans get you down you get up and you become a force in America for truth and character amen. Alleluia I don’t believe God’s going to destroy America because there’s way more than ten righteous in America and way more than 7,000 like there was in Israel there’s a lot of good people in America and they are tired of things going on out there the way there they are and they [unclear].

▶ 51:00 Proclaim their opposition to the nonsense and if they get the voting will win any election because the evangelical Christians is the biggest group of people in America today and they can sway any election but if they don’t have knowledge on what to do. In closing the apostles were champions weren’t they they acted like spiritual men didn’t they. Here they are before the Sanhedrin the Jewish leaders did not we command you not to teach in Jesus’ name isn’t that what they did in America in the 60s can’t pray can’t have the Bible in public schools public places chaplains cannot use the name of Jesus in the military.

▶ 52:00 You can use the name of God but you can’t use you can use the word God but you can’t use Jesus why because it specifically. Addresses a group that believes Jesus was God the savior of the world the only way to God the living word amen. And they don’t want to hear the character part of God. They don’t want to hear it. You have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine I pray that the church would begin to rise up and preach the doctrines of Jesus of the apostles and the prophets in the Old Testament again is that a good statement yeah get away from psychology and men’s reasoning and and men’s ability to solve their own but let’s get back to the real truth hallelujah let’s fill America with the truth and then a lot of these Christians will awaken and we can be a tremendous team in an army in America to turn this back to a righteous nation that it was in the 50s that I grew up in.

▶ 53:18 And you intend to bring this man’s blood upon us you know the Jews get mad because we tell them the Jews killed Jesus what they did that’s the truth the only thing is if you are a Mexican or an African and you sinned you killed Jesus too cuz he had to die for you. The Jews were there [unclear] cheering it on but my friend when you sin Jesus had to die if you were the only one in the world that sinned Jesus still had to die alleluia so the Jews did it physically and they cheered it on but all of us and yes I blame America for bad moral laws.

▶ 54:12 Our congress that votes in bad moral laws our governors our mayor’s our city council that pass bad moral laws they’re accountable amen. The apostles said we ought to obey God rather than men. Is that a good statement and look at this they beat them. They plotted to kill them they’re trying to figure out a way to kill them they want to silence their voice and that’s what happened in America the liberals want to silence any opposition to their ideas and so they come up with public opinion public correctness.

▶ 55:05 Political correctness to silence any opposition you can’t even talk about the issue because you’re not allowed to. Are you there in church we got to come out of that and we got to speak up for Jesus and truth and they told them we’re going to let you go but don’t you talk about Jesus anymore. And the apostles didn’t stop teaching and preaching Jesus Christ they kept turning the world upside down.
