Deflective Defective Disciples Part 2: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
In “Deflective Defective Disciples Part 2,” Pastor David G. Kincer continues the previous message by saying the Bible’s “I believe” statements are about believing Jesus is the Son of God and that God will do what he said. He argues from Acts and 1 Corinthians that Christians and ministers are meant to judge, reads Revelation 21:8 on who goes to the lake of fire, and criticizes ministers he says flatter people. He points to Jeremiah 3:15 as God’s solution and calls believers to virtue and to speak up.
Do Christians need personal prophecy, and will good people go to heaven without Christ?
Short answer: Pastor Kincer lists prosperity, positive thinking, possibility, Purpose Driven and psychotherapy thinking, and adds personal prophecy thinking, which he says is a dime a dozen in many Spirit-filled circles. He says he does not need personal prophecy; he needs the Bible, the sure word of prophecy. He says the claim that atheists, humanists and anyone who is good can go to heaven is lying, and that the end result of Jesus’s faith is a disciple pursuing the divine nature and doing good works.
▶ 0:00 Adultery, homosexuality, incest, intoxication. Okay, see, “my faith,” “I believe,” nothing’s wrong with it. Prosperity, positive thinking, possibility— you ever met these people that won’t say a negative thing? There: possibility thinking, prosperity thinking, Purpose Driven thinking, psychotherapy thinking, and one I didn’t have up there is this personal prophecy thinking. My gosh. And in a lot of Spirit-filled circles, you know, personal prophecy is just a dime a dozen. Just everybody’s giving out personal prophecies. Where is that in the Bible? They’re just flat out wrong. I don’t need no personal prophecy; I need the book. I need the Bible. Amen. It’s the sure word of prophecy, that’s what the Bible says.
▶ 1:01 Atheist and humanist and everybody’s got their own ideas. And in one of these they talked about atheists, and they said, yeah, everybody can go to heaven. And as Oprah put it, if you’re good— generosity, kindness and love— you can go to heaven no matter what. They’re just lying. Now, over here the end result is a Christian, a disciple of the divine nature. They’re pursuing the divine nature. Hallelujah, because that’s what this faith, Jesus’s faith, whole focus is on: you being a light to the world, living for him by doing good works.
Scripture in this part
2 Peter 1:19 (NKJV)
And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;
— 2 Peter 1:19 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:51 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Who goes to the lake of fire according to Revelation 21:8, and should preachers challenge sin?
Short answer: He reads Revelation 21:8 and says it plainly tells who is going to the lake of fire, including the unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters and all liars. He says homosexuals miss out on two counts, sexual immorality and abomination, and that you cannot change the Bible because you want to be nice to people. He says preachers are not challenging Christians living in sexual immorality, and that America and the homosexual need to hear it so he can get saved and change his ways.
▶ 1:57 Now, Revelation 21:8: “The cowardly, the unbelieving, the abominable”— abomination means God hates it, all right— “murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers,” which is witchcraft, “idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” And Joel Osteen doesn’t know, and T. D. Jakes doesn’t know, that these people are going to hell, and Rick Warren doesn’t know, and Oprah doesn’t know. It’s very plain in Revelation. This is just one scripture. He tells us plainly who’s going to the lake of fire, and homosexuals miss out on two counts: sexual immorality and abomination. It’s listed under both. Adultery, incest— these sins, will you burn for them? You can’t change the Bible because you want to be nice to people. Can I hear an amen?
▶ 3:03 And Christians are living in sexual immorality and doing all kinds of stupid things, and the preachers aren’t challenging them on Sunday to stop it, and everybody thinks they’re okay. Folks, you can’t change this. Idolatry is an abomination. Idolatry is listed twice up there, under abominations and under idolatry. Are you with me? And all liars: these guys are lying. How many liars go to hell? All of them. Now, folks, this is flagrant lying just so they can get crowds and money. They like the money, man. They live in million-dollar mansions and they drive big cars, and they got all these people coming wanting to hear their flattering messages. And America needs to hear that that’s wrong, and the Christians need to hear, the homosexual needs to hear that he’s wrong, so that he can get saved and change his ways. Can I hear an amen?
Scripture in this part
Revelation 21:8 (NKJV)
But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
— Revelation 21:8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:57What does “I believe” mean in the Bible?
Short answer: He says “I believe” is used four times in the passages he reads and every time it means believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the only begotten Son of God, or believing that God will do what he said he would do. He reads the statements in John 11, John 9, Acts 8 and Acts 27, and says that is what “I believe” should say, not that any sin is fine and you can still go to heaven.
▶ 4:17 But so, the adulterers. John 11:27, the statement of “I believe”: “I believe you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.” Okay. “I believe” is used four times, and every time it’s used this way. All right: I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the only begotten Son of God. Lucifer is not a begotten Son of God. Lucifer was a created being. Jesus was birthed in the flesh by God. Amen.
▶ 4:56 John 9:35: “Do you believe on the Son of God?” Jesus asked the man. He said, “Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?” Jesus said, “You have seen him, and it is he that talks with you.” I’m him, Jesus said. The man quickly says, “I believe.” I believe what? That you are the Son of God, that Jesus is the Son of God. How many believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God? Yeah. See, that’s what “I believe” should say: not “I believe homos can go to heaven,” and, “Oh, you know, I can get intoxicated and still go to heaven,” and all the rest. No.
▶ 5:37 Acts 8:37: Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may get baptized,” and the eunuch said, “I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” He said it again. Paul, in Acts 27:25, on the island— or before he got to the island, on the boat: “Be of good cheer, I believe God.” What’s the statement? “I believe God that it shall be as it was told me.” Now, that sums it up: I believe that God will do what he said he would do. Amen. I can’t come up with my own little gizmo doctrines, my feel-good doctrines.
Scripture in this part
John 11:27 (NKJV)
She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”
— John 11:27 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:23John 9:35-37 (NKJV)
Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said to him, “Do you believe in the Son of God?” He answered and said, “Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?” And Jesus said to him, “You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you.”
— John 9:35-37 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:56Acts 8:37 (NKJV)
Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”
— Acts 8:37 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:37Acts 27:25 (NKJV)
Therefore take heart, men, for I believe God that it will be just as it was told me.
— Acts 27:25 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:50Does the Bible say we should not judge anyone?
Short answer: He says ministers are supposed to preach the Bible, and the Bible already judges, so telling people they are going to hell is telling them what the Bible said, not judging them himself. He compares it to a doctor who will not tell a patient with cancer he is going to die, and says Paul boldly told the Jews who rejected the word that they had judged themselves unworthy of eternal life.
▶ 6:30 The Bible, in judging: you hear them all say they wouldn’t judge. You hear that? I’m not going to judge anybody. Well, no, all sinned. T. D. Jakes, all not going to judge: I’m not going to judge. Well, the Bible already judges it. And ministers are supposed to be preaching the Bible. See, I’m not judging people when I, you know, when I tell people you’re going to hell. I’m telling them what the Bible said. God’s judgment is you’re going to hell. And I told you people last year said nobody talks like that. I said, the Bible talks like that.
▶ 7:07 And can you imagine going in for cancer, and the doctors don’t want to make a judgment? They don’t want to tell you that you’re going to die, and they just say, oh, you’re just fine, you’re just fine, you’re not going to die, you don’t need treatment, you’re just— you don’t need any kind of treatment, you don’t need any kind of medicine or anything else, you know. And in the end you what? Die, when you could have got some treatment and lived. And these preachers don’t want to tell people they’re going to die. See, the lake of fire we read is the second death. You’re going to die for eternity.
▶ 7:55 The Jews opposed things spoken by Paul, in Acts 13:45. So Paul boldly said— Paul what? Boldly said. He didn’t sit there silently and, well, I’m not going to judge. Well, you know, I haven’t read into that, I don’t have knowledge. No, he boldly said, “It was necessary the word of God be spoken to you first, you Jews, but since you reject it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, we’re going to the Gentiles.” See, they judged themselves. They made a decision themselves to miss out on eternal life.
Scripture in this part
Acts 13:45-46 (NKJV)
But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy; and contradicting and blaspheming, they opposed the things spoken by Paul. Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, “It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first; but since you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.
— Acts 13:45-46 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:57Are Christians supposed to make judgments, according to 1 Corinthians 6 and Acts 15?
Short answer: He says 1 Corinthians 6 asks whether the saints will judge the world and angels, so they are not unworthy to judge the smallest matters of this life. He reads Acts 15:19, where the decision is to write to the Gentiles to abstain from idols, sexual immorality, things strangled and blood, and he says ministers should make that judgment today.
▶ 8:38 1 Corinthians 6:2: “Do you not know that the saints would judge the world?” Whoo! Are you out there, church? “If the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?” You can’t make decisions on the least little thing! You got these homosexuals and these Oprah telling you that— “Judge not, lest you be not judged. For what judgment you judge you shall be judged.” Come on!
▶ 9:08 “Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more things that pertain to this life?” Are we supposed to make judgments concerning this life? Yeah. Are we to make judgment on the very smallest matters, whether we buy a car we can’t afford, or will we buy a car we can’t afford? Are we supposed to make judgments? Yeah. Good grief. Raise your child up in the way they should go, or raise them up the way Dr. Spock said they should go? We got to make— we’re to make judgment. They’re lying to you, people out there.
▶ 9:57 Acts 15:19: “I judge.” What did he say? “I judge.” [Editor’s note: in Acts 15:19 the speaker is James, not Paul.] Oh my gosh, [unclear] is going to fall off his chair. Oprah and T. D. Jakes and Warren, what’s this? What are they going to do with this scripture? Paul’s judging. He’s making a decision. What’s his decision? “That we should not trouble the Gentiles who are turning to God, but that we write to them to abstain from things polluted by idols, sexual immorality, things strangled, and from blood.” Sexual immorality: no homosexuality, no adultery, no incest, no sex with kids, all sex in the marriage. That’s it. And he made that judgment. Don’t you think ministers should be making that judgment today? Absolutely.
Scripture in this part
1 Corinthians 6:2-3 (NKJV)
Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?
— 1 Corinthians 6:2-3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:38Matthew 7:1-2 (NKJV)
“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.
— Matthew 7:1-2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:55 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Acts 15:19-20 (NKJV)
Therefore I judge that we should not trouble those from among the Gentiles who are turning to God, but that we write to them to abstain from things polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from things strangled, and from blood.
— Acts 15:19-20 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 9:57Why are so many Christians weak, and what should they do?
Short answer: He says God’s people are weak because they listen to weak preachers and do not have enough discipline to read the Bible themselves every day. He says Christians in trouble are non-readers who go to Bible studies mostly to associate with a group, and that they should get a connection with Jesus and his word, since we go to church to spiritualize, not socialize.
▶ 10:50 God’s people are wimps because they’re listening to wimpy ministers. That’s right. They’re weak because they listen to weak preachers, and they ain’t got enough discipline to get on their knees and open that Bible up themselves and read a proverb a day and read [unclear] a day and read the Bible every day. I guarantee you, Christians that are in trouble are non-readers, and they don’t go to Bible studies where they actually hear somebody expound and open up the scriptures to them. They go to Bible studies mostly to associate, you know, they’re associating with this group, they got a connection with the group. You better get a connection with Jesus and his word. Yeah, that’s worth a clap. We don’t go to church to socialize. These churches, America’s churches, have got it wrong. We go to church to spiritualize. We need to become better spiritual people. Hallelujah.
Should a church put out a member who is living in sexual sin?
Short answer: He reads 1 Corinthians 5 and says Paul told the church not to keep company with the sexually immoral and others in the list, and that those inside the church are to be judged while God judges those outside. He says the man there was committing incest, and Paul passed a judgment to kick him out of the church.
▶ 12:00 1 Corinthians 5:9: “I wrote to you not to keep company with sexually immoral brethren, or greedy people, extortioners”— and revilers, they that blast people with their mouth— “drunkard, or idolaters. Not to eat with such a person. What have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are inside?” Did you hear that? “But those outside God judges. For this reason, put away yourselves from that evil person.” This guy was committing incest. He was having sex with his father’s wife, and Paul passed a judgment to kick this guy out of the church, and he told the Corinthian church, you got to make decisions.
Scripture in this part
1 Corinthians 5:9-13 (NKJV)
I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person. For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.”
— 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:00What does it mean to live for Christ instead of for yourself?
Short answer: He reads 2 Corinthians 5:14 and calls it basic kindergarten Christianity: if Christ died for you, you should live not for yourself but for him. He says selfishness is why churches have problems, and that following Jesus’s example means laying down our life, working, getting married, staying married and raising children right.
▶ 12:56 2 Corinthians 5:14: “The love of Christ compels, because we judge this: if one died for all, then all died, and he died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves.” Good Lord, that’s so simple. That’s basic kindergarten Christianity: that if Christ died for you, you should be living not for yourself but for him who died for you and rose again. Can I hear an amen? I don’t have to live to please Rick Warren or T. D. Jakes or Joel Osteen. I’ve got to please Jesus Christ. Amen.
▶ 13:39 And let me tell you something, church: selfishness is why you got your problems. You’re only thinking about yourself and your feelings and what you want, and it creates problems. You just want your own way because you feel it’s right. Jesus, our example, laid down his life for us. If we’re going to follow his example, we’re going to what? Lay down our life. We’re not going to do what we want to do; we’re going to do what he wants us to do. Amen. We’re going to work, we’re going to get married, we’re going to stay married, we’re going to raise children, we’re going to raise them right. We judge this way. Are we to judge? Yes.
Scripture in this part
2 Corinthians 5:14-15 (NKJV)
For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
— 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:56Should preaching and prophecy be tested against the Bible?
Short answer: He reads 1 Corinthians 14:29, let two or three prophets speak and let the others judge, and says he has a right to decide whether what ministers say is scripturally correct. He says personal prophecy has no one to verify it and that prophets should not be wrong, and that people must depend on the scriptures. He also says we are to judge ourselves, and that the Sermon on the Mount means start with yourself before helping a brother with a splinter.
▶ 14:41 1 Corinthians 14:29: “Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others”— what? Judge. See, I have a right to take what Joel Osteen, Rick Warren, T. D. Jakes and Oprah and all these guys say. I have a right to make a decision if they’re scripturally correct. And I’m not out to lambaste the brethren or to divide the church. I am out to speak the truth so people can know the truth and the truth can set them free. Is that an amen?
▶ 15:15 I mean, it plainly says when somebody’s talking, there’s got to be somebody checking out whether they’re saying it right or not. Hallelujah. And that’s where personal prophecy goes right out the tube. There’s no one there to verify you’re speaking right. And let me tell you, I’ve heard a lot of lousy personal prophecies, and I just flat out— to him, you’re wrong, you missed it, bud. I mean, no, I can prophesy too. I mean, they act like they’re the only ones that’s got the gift, but let me tell you, I can prophesy. And when these prophets come in and they said this, that and the other, I said, you’re wrong. And they go, no way. I said, I got the proof, you’re wrong.
▶ 16:02 I know that person, and this is why you’re wrong. They got mad at me. But prophets should not be wrong. Can I hear an amen? And getting people dependent on your personal prophecies, that’s not scriptural. People have got to get dependent on the scriptures. Amen. And prophecies are good when they confirm and all that, but when they don’t, and they’re out of line, it’s destructive.
▶ 16:40 1 Corinthians 11:30: “Many are weak and sick among you, many are dead already, for if you would judge yourselves you would not be judged.” So we are to what? Judge ourselves. And that’s what the Sermon on the Mount is talking about when he says, “Judge not, lest you be judged. For with what judgment you judge you shall be judged,” and what you give out you’ll get given back to you. You better first get the 2x4 out of your eye, he said, so that you can see clearly to help the brother get a splinter out of his eye. All it’s saying is you start with yourself.
Scripture in this part
1 Corinthians 14:29 (NKJV)
Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge.
— 1 Corinthians 14:29 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:41John 8:32 (NKJV)
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
— John 8:32 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 15:10 (quoted; reference not named in the message)1 Corinthians 11:30-31 (NKJV)
For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.
— 1 Corinthians 11:30-31 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:40Matthew 7:1-5 (NKJV)
“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
— Matthew 7:1-5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:59 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What is God’s solution for deflective, defective ministers?
Short answer: He reads Jeremiah 3:15, where God promises shepherds after his heart who feed with knowledge and understanding, and says people are destroyed for lack of knowledge because preachers in America are making them feel good instead of helping them grow and change. He says Christian divorce, children out of marriage and single-parent homes are as high as in the secular world, and that something is wrong.
▶ 17:22 God’s solution for defective, deflective disciples and ministers: here’s his solution. Are you ready? Jeremiah 3:15: “I will give you shepherds according to my heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” The Bible says, “For lack of knowledge my people are destroyed,” and gone into captivity. They lack knowledge. And why? Because preachers in America aren’t giving them the knowledge to make decisions during the week. They’re making them feel good where they’re at. They’re not growing, they’re not changing, and they wind up destroying themselves.
▶ 18:02 Christian divorce is just as high as secular divorce. Christians having kids out of marriage is just as high as the secular. Christians in a single-parent home is just as high as the secular. Something’s wrong, church. Yes. The results aren’t there. At that time— I love this— he says he’s going to do it, and he tells us what’s going to happen at that time. Jerusalem— Hebrews 12 tells us Jerusalem is the church. Okay. At that time the church shall be called the Throne of the Lord. He is Lord; he’s ruling. We are following him. I love that. Do you see that? He’s not in a lot of churches. The throne is not in a lot of churches. The pastor is on the throne, because these people are worshiping pastors and ministers.
Scripture in this part
Jeremiah 3:15 (NKJV)
And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.
— Jeremiah 3:15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 17:30Hosea 4:6 (NKJV)
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.
— Hosea 4:6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 17:42 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Hebrews 12:22 (NKJV)
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels,
— Hebrews 12:22 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 18:35Jeremiah 3:17 (NKJV)
“At that time Jerusalem shall be called The Throne of the LORD, and all the nations shall be gathered to it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem. No more shall they follow the dictates of their evil hearts.
— Jeremiah 3:17 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 18:42 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does it mean for the church to be called the Throne of the Lord?
Short answer: He says Jerusalem is the church and that at that time it shall be called the Throne of the Lord, with all nations gathered to the name of the Lord, which is Jesus. He says in a lot of churches the pastor is on the throne instead, and that we gather to the King, not a minister or a group. He says we know the time we are in when we are doing what he wants, not what we want.
▶ 19:10 “And all nations shall be gathered to the throne” that’s in the church now. Is that Bible? We don’t gather to a minister or a group. We gather to the King on the throne in the church. Wow. “To the name of the Lord.” What’s his name? Jesus. Don’t give me no Buddha stuff. Don’t give me no Joseph Smith stuff. Don’t give me no [unclear]— I mean, Moroni, some angel that’s supposed to give— don’t give me that garbage. Give me Jesus. It’s his name I gather unto, it’s his throne together unto, and it’s his word that I must follow.
▶ 20:02 Now, that was good. No more— listen to this. See, you can tell what the time is. Am I making sense to you? I’m trying to give you Revelation here that can change your life. See, we can know what time frame we’re in. Are we in the time where the church has the throne of the Lord, and nations are gathering to the throne, and the King on the throne, and his name? “No more shall they follow the dictates of their evil hearts.” See, we know what time and what season we’re in when we aren’t doing what we want to do; we’re doing what he wants us to do. Oh gosh, that was good.
Scripture in this part
Jeremiah 3:17 (NKJV)
“At that time Jerusalem shall be called The Throne of the LORD, and all the nations shall be gathered to it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem. No more shall they follow the dictates of their evil hearts.
— Jeremiah 3:17 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 19:10 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Should you leave a church where Jesus is not on the throne?
Short answer: He says to stop listening to shepherds who flatter you, because it is the word that sets you free, heals you and makes you grow. He says that if you are going to a church where he is not on the throne and people are doing what they want to do, you are in the wrong group, so get to where you can get fed and grow.
▶ 21:00 Oh, church, and you got to make decisions, and you got to stop listening to these idiot shepherds, because they flatter you and make you feel good. It’s the word that sets you free. It’s the word that heals you. It’s the word that causes you to grow. When we get distracted and deflect from the word, and deflect from the living word, Jesus, we’re going to fall into problems. Christians don’t have any power and strength today. They can’t overcome sin, and the preacher just feeds them: they’re okay where they’re at.
▶ 21:53 “No more shall they follow the dictates of their evil heart.” When you come to that place, you know you’re in this time, and you’re in the right group. And see, if you’re going to a church where he isn’t on the throne and not gathering to his name, and that people are doing what they want to do, you’re in the wrong group, man. Get out. Get to where you can get fed, get to where you can grow, get to where we can do something for Christ in this world together. Can I hear an amen?
Scripture in this part
Jeremiah 3:17 (NKJV)
“At that time Jerusalem shall be called The Throne of the LORD, and all the nations shall be gathered to it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem. No more shall they follow the dictates of their evil hearts.
— Jeremiah 3:17 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 21:53 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What is virtue, and why is cowardice listed as a sin?
Short answer: He says the first thing added to baby doctrine is virtue, which is the courage to live and stand up for Bible morals, and you have to add it to your faith. He says that if you will not tell your spouse, children, parents, neighbors and enemies Bible truths and Bible morality you are a coward, and that it is still the foolishness of preaching that saves people.
▶ 22:30 Cowardly. Are you a coward today? You know, the first thing added to baby doctrine is virtue. Virtue is the courage to live and stand up for Bible morals, and you got to add that to your faith. Am I right? I’m just giving you Bible scriptures. And when you are a coward and you won’t stand up— I’m talking about your spouse, your children, your parents, your brothers and sisters, your neighbors, your enemies— and you don’t tell them Bible truths and Bible morality, you are a coward. What’s going to save them? They got to know. It’s still the foolishness of preaching that saves people.
Scripture in this part
2 Peter 1:5 (NKJV)
But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,
— 2 Peter 1:5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 22:31 (quoted; reference not named in the message)1 Corinthians 1:21 (NKJV)
For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.
— 1 Corinthians 1:21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 23:29 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What do abominations, hatred, witchcraft and lying mean in Revelation 21:8?
Short answer: He says there are about thirty-three abominations in the Bible and that Christians who hate others over skin color or social status are included under the New Testament teaching that hatred is the same as murder. He says Christians should not be afraid of witches because there is no witchcraft against God’s people, and that liars will have their part in the lake of fire, so do not be afraid to say it.
▶ 23:39 Unbelieving: and we saw these disciples were what? Unbelievers, in John 6. Abominable things that God hates, which is idolatry, homosexuality, rape, things like that. There’s a whole list. There’s about thirty-three abominations in the Bible. There’s a whole— God hates them. Murderers: Jesus said if you hate— or the New Testament says if you hate, that is the same as murder. And we got Christians that hate skin color, social status, whatever. We have hatred, despise, we look down on people.
▶ 24:23 Sexually immoral, sorcerers, witchcraft. And I meet Christians in the witchcraft, and I meet Christians that are afraid of witches. Back at the Vine, these women got together and they read this book about how the witches were keeping Christian churches from growing and affecting the church, and I go, that’s not true. The Bible says there is no witchcraft against God’s people. Those witches can do all they want to do; it has no effect on the church. And they just look, well, you don’t know everything. I don’t, but the book knows everything. Ain’t no witch doctor can get outside the church and do the [unclear] thing and have any effect on us. Are you there?
▶ 25:22 But silly women— Paul said led astray. But you know, silly women, you got to watch, women, don’t— don’t be silly. Amen. Don’t be foolish. And “all liars shall have their part in a lake of burns with fire.” Were these guys lying? Were they lying? Absolutely. Don’t be afraid to say it, and don’t be afraid to email them and say, that’s not scripture. You know, I learned from people telling me like it was, because I wanted to be told like it was. I didn’t learn from people that were wimps. I didn’t learn from people that didn’t take an interest in people. I learned from people that took an interest in people, the right interest.

1 John 3:15 (NKJV)
Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,
— 2 Timothy 3:6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 25:22 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Why should Christians speak up instead of staying silent?
Short answer: He says people who come to church, never share Christ with anybody and go home are silent saints who have no effect in the kingdom. He says that when you really know something it is natural to talk about it, without pumping up courage, and that you should speak the truth and not argue, since if one person is silent the argument ends.
▶ 26:21 You know, there’s people that come to church and they never share Christ with anybody. They have no effect and [unclear] in the kingdom at all. They just come, hear a sermon, go, oh wow, what a great sermon. Hallelujah. Do their little thing that they do in their church and then go home, and they’re silent saints. They are worthless. And I’m looking at some today. We got the internet; you can talk to anybody. I told you I went right to Utah, talked right to headquarters.
▶ 27:04 How you know it’s time to speak up, hallelujah: it’s natural. When you really experience something and you know something, it’s just natural to talk about it. It isn’t like you got to get the courage up and pump it up. It’s just natural. You know, when somebody’s into baseball, it’s natural that they talk about baseball, right? People that are into God and truth, it’s just natural to speak truth, and you don’t have to argue about it. Just speak it and shut up. The Bible says it takes two people to argue; if one is silent, the argument ends. If you read your Proverbs you would know, but most of you do not read your Proverbs every day, principles of life.
▶ 27:55 Someone was telling me this week they got into a heated argument. I said, well, if you’d have just shut up after you said your statement, that wouldn’t have been a heated argument. Amen. I mean, what’s the sense, and just keep harping on it, harping on it, harping on it? Just say it and go on. Let God do the work. Can I hear an amen?
What responsibility do believers have to get this message out?
Short answer: He says to whom much is given much is required, so the church has a responsibility to get organized and tell everyone, believer and unbeliever alike, that Bible morality is part of getting into heaven. He says Bible morality, not psychotherapy and positive thinking, is what blesses a family and helps people in the church, and that it challenges immoral people to change.
▶ 28:21 They’re all going to the lake of fire, folks. Now, because we know that to whom much is given, much is required, we have a responsibility to get this word out. We have a responsibility, church, to get organized and get out this message to everyone, believer and unbeliever alike, that Bible morality is part of getting into heaven. Amen. And Bible morality is what blesses my family. That’s what’s going to encourage my children, being an example and teaching them and directing them that way. That’s what’s going to help my family. It isn’t psychotherapy and positive thinking. Bible morality is what’s going to help people in the church, and it’s going to challenge the unmoral people to change their way. And that’s what the basic gospel is all about.
Scripture in this part
Luke 12:48 (NKJV)
But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

What does he say prosperity, positive thinking and similar movements have in common?
He lists prosperity, positive, possibility, Purpose Driven, psychotherapy and personal prophecy thinking together, tied to the idea of saying “my faith” and “I believe” with nothing wrong with it. He says that in the Bible there is no place for personal prophecy and that he needs the book.
Scripture (NKJV)And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;
— 2 Peter 1:19 (NKJV) (quoted; reference not named in the message)▶ Hear it at 0:51
Does he say Lucifer is a son of God?
He says Lucifer is not a begotten Son of God, and was a created being. He says Jesus was birthed in the flesh by God and is the only begotten Son of God.
Scripture (NKJV)She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”
— John 11:27 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:23
Why does he compare telling people the truth to a doctor and cancer?
He says a doctor who tells a patient he is fine and does not need treatment lets the patient die when he could have got treatment and lived. He says preachers who will not tell people they are going to die for eternity, the second death of the lake of fire, are doing the same.
Scripture (NKJV)But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
— Revelation 21:8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:57
Why does he say we go to church?
He says we do not go to church to socialize but to spiritualize, to become better spiritual people. He says many go to Bible studies mostly to associate with a group, and that they should get a connection with Jesus and his word.
What does he say the Corinthian church was told to do about a man who had his father’s wife?
He says Paul passed a judgment to kick the man out of the church and told the Corinthian church they had to make decisions. He points to the passage that says to judge those inside the church while God judges those outside.
Scripture (NKJV)I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people.
— 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:00
What does he call basic kindergarten Christianity?
He says it is that if Christ died for you, you should be living not for yourself but for him who died for you and rose again. He says he does not have to live to please any minister but has to please Jesus Christ.
Scripture (NKJV)For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
— 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:56
Why does he say selfishness is the cause of problems in the church?
He says people are only thinking about themselves, their feelings and what they want, and they just want their own way because they feel it is right. He says Jesus laid down his life for us, so if we follow his example we lay down our life and do what he wants, not what we want.
What does he say about prophets who are wrong?
He says that he has heard a lot of lousy personal prophecies and told the prophets they were wrong, and some got mad at him. He says prophets should not be wrong, and that prophecies are good when they confirm but destructive when they are out of line.
Scripture (NKJV)Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge.
— 1 Corinthians 14:29 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:41

What does he say about witchcraft and the church?
He says he meets Christians who are afraid of witches, and that some women in the church read a book about how witches were keeping churches from growing. He says that is not true: the Bible says there is no witchcraft against God’s people, and no witch doctor can have an effect on the church.
Scripture (NKJV)“For there is no sorcery against Jacob, Nor any divination against Israel. It now must be said of Jacob And of Israel, ‘Oh, what God has done!’

What does he say about avoiding heated arguments?
He says you can say your statement and shut up, since it takes two people to argue and if one is silent the argument ends. He says there is no sense in harping on it again and again; just say it and go on and let God do the work.
