Daniel 3 shows civil disobedience: Nebuchadnezzar commanded all to bow at the music, but three Hebrews refused, telling the king they would not serve his gods. The account is literal; Christians shouldn’t hide their light or blindly follow denominations.

What is Daniel 3 about?

▶ Watch this part (0:00)

Short answer: Civil disobedience—hear it and act on it; America has gone through such times since its start.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 0:00 But we hope today you will not just hear it, you will act upon it. Okay. Daniel 3 is going to give us a challenge when civil authorities make immoral laws immoral compared to scripture. The scripture says what is right and they make laws contradictory to the moral scriptures. They make civil immoral laws. And it’s going to tell us how citizens what choices citizens have concerning these immoral laws. Are you with me? We’re also going to call it civil disobedience. What’s the words? Civil disobedience means you disobey civil laws and authorities because they are wrong. Uh first of all, in the Bible, there’s a lot of of stories about governments being changed and challenged and and abusing people.

▶ 1:01 Uh and in America, we have for since our country started uh been going through times and seasons where uh civil laws were immoral. And for the past few weeks, I’ve been dealing with a lot of people and every one of them 100% agrees that America’s in trouble, that the church is going downhill. And the what every one of them says there’s no hope. It can’t be changed. There’s nothing we can do. Every one of them. And I submit to you, Daniel 3 tells us what to do. And if there is a God and we don’t have any hope that America and the church in America can be changed, then we’re serving a worthless God.

▶ 1:56 Just like the Hindus are serving a worthless God, just like the Buddhists are serving a word. What good is God if he cannot intervene himself in the affairs of men and change it for the righteous sake? Could you say amen to that? And I submit to you, I’m not serving a worthless God. The God I met 40ome years ago was a powerful God. And he’s still powerful. Hallelujah. And he Amen. Isn’t measured by how the crowd goes. He isn’t measured by the circumstances around us. And he just asked us to believe and respond. You see, Israel responded when and did what God told him to do. That’s what belief and faith is. It isn’t just a mental condition. And when we do our part, he will what?

▶ 2:48 Do his part. Hallelujah. After you know than the other lessons, Israel would has a low place. In fact, they were below bottom. God was judging them for their sins, disciplining them, and punishing them. They’re in slavery in Babylon. Things aren’t good. Their homes were lost. Their economy, their jobs were gone, everything. And yet God uses four men to change that nation around. In Daniel 3:es 1-7, Nebuchadnezzar makes a 90 foot high by a 9 foot wide idol. And he dedicates it by requiring all leaders, all people, all nations, all languages to bow to it when the music sounded.

Scripture (NKJV)

Daniel 3:1-6 (NKJV)

Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was sixty cubits and its width six cubits. He set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. And King Nebuchadnezzar sent word to gather together the satraps, the administrators, the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. So the satraps, the administrators, the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces gathered together for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up. Then a herald cried aloud: “To you it is commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages, that at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, you shall fall down and worship the gold image that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up; and whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.”

How does the enemy seduce?

▶ Watch this part (3:44)

Short answer: With music—at the sound of the instruments all were to bow.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 3:44 It’s amazing how the enemy likes to use music to to seduce our young people and our old people. You know, it isn’t just young people walking around with earphones in their ears blasting out. You got them 30 years old, 40 years old. They haven’t grown up yet. They can’t get in the car without turning on the rock music. They can’t use that time to meditate on the scriptures and meditate on God. Oh, no. They got to have the music blaring. Are you there? See, the enemy, they know the power of music and so does the church know the power of music. So, they’re going to bow to these idols, and the penalty is you’re going to be cast into a fiery furnace, which is capital punishment. You’re going to lose your life.

▶ 4:36 All right? They had never heard of the liberals in America, you know, and the people that uh hated to uh have capital punishment and uh you know, the cruelty of punishing someone for really killing somebody, you know, they never heard of that. They just all these years they’ve been using capital punishment. But in the last days, you know, we are the wise ones. So civil laws are being made enforcing making it compulsory to obey wrong laws, wickedness, sin. Okay? It’s compulsory or you will be punished. Now this is a real present problem for the Jews that is in Babylon.

▶ 5:29 4,600 of them were taken captive including Esther, Moriah, Ezekiel, Ezra, Nehemiah, and a lot of other Jews that were there innocently. They served God, but they had to pay the price with the people who had sinned all those decades in God’s timing and punishment. But we see how he starts separating the faithful followers and blessing them in his punishment. Isn’t that beautiful? You see, God, the Bible says that he’s for you, not against you. Even when he’s disciplining you, he is what? For you. He says,”I want to multiply you. I want to increase you. I want to make you many.

Should we hide our light?

▶ Watch this part (6:20)

Short answer: No—God wants His people large; candidates put faith under a bushel.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 6:20 I don’t want you to be few. I want to make you large. I don’t want you small.” And so whether we’re in his blessing time, his discipline time, or whatever time, it’s always for our good. He’s always on our side. Hallelujah. You can’t say, “Oh, God, why have you forsaken me?” He’s He’s with us. Now, Exodus 20:4 says, “You shall not make any graven image. You shall not bow down to nor serve them.” So, it’s a real problem for the people that follow God. Well, I’ll just bow, but my heart’s not in it. No. No. The Bible says you give your bodies a living sacrifice. You can’t just worship God inside and not reflect it with your physical body. Think on that one.

▶ 7:19 I hear all this nonsense as a pastor, excuses why I don’t respond to God and I do my own thing. But our bodies are important. What we do with our bodies is just as important as what you do with your spirit. Can I hear an amen? In fact, it reflects what’s in your spirit. That’s what Jesus said. Out of your heart proceeds evil thoughts and all these things. Now let’s continue. The Calaldanss, of course, the wise ones of Babylon. They come and accuse three Hebrews, Shadrach, Meshack, Abednego to the king because they were looking and they were watching. And Shadrach, Meshach, Nebedo would not bow to the king’s image, and they would not serve the king’s God.

▶ 8:18 They noticed that these guys weren’t serving the king’s God before he even brought the idol in. And then when he brought the idol in and he brought everybody and said, “Bow to it at the sound of the music,” these three guys stood. Here’s millions of people bowing. How many you know you stand out? You really stand out. It’s like diamond here in the midst of a crowd. He stands out. You know, he’s seven foot tall, big as a mountain. You know, you you don’t want to mess with him. Well, these guys stood out. And church, we should stand out in America. When we’re not following the crowd, we should stand out. That was a good place for an amen. Well, I don’t want to ride I don’t want to put my religion on my sleeve.

▶ 9:15 These presidential candidates say, “Well, where are you putting it? Under a bushel. Nobody can see anything.” What good is a religion that you can’t express? It’s a worthless religion. Now remember these Calaldanss were saved by these three Hebrews and Daniel from being killed by the king. See they saved their lives because these guys couldn’t interpret the king’s dream previously in chapter 2 and the king was going to kill them all. And these guys saved their lives. And here they are accusing them before the king.

▶ 10:07 These three guys were made leaders by the king in chapter 2. So you know what the motive here is, don’t you? The calaldanss want their position. Jesus Christ. I’ve seen this church. I’ve seen this ever since I’ve been a Christian. Jesus Christ, the church of the living God. I don’t care if you’re a Baptist, Presbyterian, or Pentecost, or whatever. You’re offering people eternal life through Jesus Christ. And Jesus gives them that eternal life. He saves their life through his death on the cross. And yet a few months go by, a few weeks or a few years, and they turn against him.

▶ 11:02 And they attack the church that brought him the message. Are you there? Someone last Sunday was said, “Hey, I met a person in the community that knew you and they really spoke good of you.” I said, “You’re lucky. I got a lot more that speak bad of me. You’re fortunate. Why? Because if you disagree with them, they take their ball and go home and then they talk about you. They attack you and they blame you and you’re the one that helped them find Christ, find life, and find these things. And then they turn on you. Are you there? Now in the next verses 13 and on we have the arrest, the charges and the sentence of these three innocent criminals who won’t obey an immoral law.

Scripture (NKJV)

How did the king challenge God?

▶ Watch this part (12:16)

Short answer: Who is the God who will deliver you? They answered: we will not serve your gods.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 12:16 And we have a statement in the courtroom challenging God directly. Now I want you to understand this. This is good for I I didn’t know why God took me to Daniel. Instead, I started getting the messages. And this is very timely for America. All right. I know you guys all thought we were going to get right into the second coming and the rapture and all that stuff, but let me tell you, there is a lot more in Daniel than what these people say are there. Amen. Now, the arrest Nebuchadnezzar gets mad. He’s angry. How many of you know Christians that get mad and angry? Yeah. How many of you know unbelievers that get mad and angry?

▶ 13:09 Yeah. How many you know mad and angry is not in the Bible unless it’s a righteous anger. Yeah. You know, somebody wants to molest my wife or rob my kids or their possessions, I’m going to get mad and I’m going to protect them. But not because they look down on hillbillies because we talk different and we act different. I’m a hillbilly. I used to really talk bad. You Woo. They used to make fun of me all the time when I preached because of my words. But that’s all right. They weren’t preaching. Somebody’s got to do it. Amen. You can have proper English and can’t express anything.

▶ 14:03 So he’s in a rage and he brings him into the courtroom. He gets him arrested and he brings him into the courtroom and he says, “Is it true, Shadrach, Mesh, and Abednego that number one, you don’t serve my gods and number two, you will not bow down and wor worship the image that I made?” Do you know how many Christians in America got their own religion? You know, I’ve been talking about how many denominations there are in America, but I began to realize about six months ago that we got a lot more individual religions in America than denominations even come close to. Everybody’s got their own. They think they’re in a smorgesborg. You can take what you want. Don’t want the meat of the word. I’ll just leave that out. You know, give me the water. Hallelujah.

▶ 14:59 Now, of course, they said, “What?” Yep, it’s true. We haven’t been worshiping your gods, and we ain’t bound down to your idols. So, then the sentence comes, if you will fall down right now and worship the image, and if you won’t fall down right now and worship the image, I’m going to cast you into the furnace of fire. That’s the sentence. And then he makes this arrogant statement. Now this is after he’s already acknowledged the God of Daniel, Shadrach, and Bes in chapter 2. He’s admitted that their God is the God of gods. He’s admitted that their God can do what no other God can do. How many of you know President Clinton, President Bruce Jr., and President Obama all say they were Christians.

▶ 16:00 And yet Clinton could commit adultery with a various number of women, including young interns in the Capitol building and say this statement, “My religion forgives me.” Well, why did Protestants become Protestants? Because of pentance excusing you from living right. Ain’t that right? Ain’t that the main reason they’re telling you just do some pentance, pay some money, do some pentance, you know, pay a price or do something that that you know makes your body suffer and you’re going to heaven. And that isn’t what the Bible says. And so Protestants protested that. Protestants mean protesters. And then we embraced the very thing that we protested.

▶ 16:56 And then you got Bush writing a a book so he can become president. Bush senior or junior. And then after he gets removed from office, he’s in an interview, two interviews, and they ask him, “Do all religions lead to the same God?” Yes, they do. What book are you reading? What Christianity you got? He says, the guy says, “Do unbelievers, atheists, and Muslims go to heaven?” He says, “I believe they do.” I got the videos. I’ve showed them to you. This is not hearsay. Right out of his mouth. They ask him, “Is the Bible literal?” And George Bru Bush Jr. Says, “Probably not. I I don’t think so.” Who are you?

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Daniel 3:15-18 (NKJV)

Now if you are ready at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, and you fall down and worship the image which I have made, good! But if you do not worship, you shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you from my hands?” Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”

— Daniel 3:15-18 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:16

Is the account literal?

▶ Watch this part (17:48)

Short answer: Yes—factual; denominational puppets obey their denomination blindly.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 17:48 You’re telling us a God gave us literal means it’s factual. It’s truthful. It’s got facts in it. God writes a book that’s lies. What kind of Christianity do we have? And I’m picking on these men because they’re the three last most influential men in the world. And that’s their picture of Christianity. Are you with me? Folks, this is an arrogant statement. And our Congress, you know, they just told the chaplain not to pray in the name of Jesus. They just they just told it. Now, before it was implied, am I right? The implication, don’t use the name of Jesus.

▶ 18:39 So, you never hear Obama using Jesus. You never hear Bush uh Jr. Using Jesus when he talked in the White House or anything. Only God. God’s acceptable everywhere, but not this man Jesus who is God. Folks, Jesus is God. Do you understand that? And what name are we to what name is exalted above every name? God or Jesus? Yes. What name should we use? Jesus. We’re commanded to you. What name do we pray in? Jesus. Who do we worship when we worship? Jesus. Arrogant statement. And so it is in America. They’ve thrown Jesus and the scriptures out of the schools and public places and everywhere else.

▶ 19:34 See, it’s relevant to our time. Their reply is simply civil disobedience. They said, Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful or we are not needful. We don’t need an attorney to answer you. We don’t need to call in a prophet. We don’t need to go to the local synagogue leader. Well, they we’re not allowed to have synagogue, but our Jewish leader. We don’t need to call the 24-hour prayer line. And we don’t need to get on radio and talk to Rich Buer about this. That was a good one. All right. He says, “If it be so.” So is put in there so you understand it.

▶ 20:32 That’s why it’s in italics. Uh the King James puts it in there for more clarified understanding. If it be so, if it be our God whom we serve, if it be, he’s able to deliver us from the fiery furnace. If it be, if it be so, I like the word so there because it does. Okay. If it’s so, if it’s his will, if it be so, he is able to deliver us out of a fairness. If it be so, he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. If it be so, if it’s his will, he will deliver us. But, King, but if not, if it be not so, oh king, we want to let you know eyeball to eyeball that we are not serving your gods and we are not bowing to your idol.

▶ 21:26 Isn’t that beautiful? Hallelujah. And see, that’s the mentality we need to have. See, our God is able to deliver us from anything. If it’s his will, he will deliver us. But if it’s not his will, let me tell you, I ain’t bowing. I ain’t giving in. I’m not bending. Now, I’ve heard this preached a thousand different ways, but let me tell you, this is the way it is. Just ask me. These are their words. You got to get into these people’s hearts, these people’s minds, these people’s spirit. Hallelujah. So, what the positive confession people do is they take this middle one out.

▶ 22:17 I mean this middle one. Yeah. Out. And they use it. He will deliver us. Not if it be so. Not if it’s his will. They just only the positive confession man. Now the sentence is carried out and innocent obedient army men are going to die carrying out the king’s orders. And this is the problem with authority and those that follow. You know, military people are blindly brainwashed into doing what their commander says without a second thought. Policemen are blindly convinced to follow the laws of the land without a second thought. Are you there?

▶ 23:12 The sad thing is denominational puppets are blindly told to obey their denomination without second thoughts. Hallelujah. Now that was worth coming for. That just that statement was worth coming for. So, the furnace was heated seven times hotter. I mean, this thing is hot. Now, I want to tell you something. We had a fire and my house right next door to me had a fire. I go outside. They knock on my door and I go outside and they want to borrow my garden holes. I go, “What for?” Well, there’s a fire. The house next door is on fire.

▶ 24:03 So, I’m thinking, you know, there’s a little fire out there. And I said, “Sure, you can have my holes.” You know, they start picking the holes out and I look around there and man, THERE’S A COLUMN OF SMOKE GOING UP 300 ft in the air. Flames are shooting out everywhere. I go, “That holes aren’t going to do any good.” I went into my backyard and the flames were shooting out of the windows. The heat busted the window. Flame was shooting out of the windows and probably like 30 foot in the air. The fire was so hot that the poles, those big 6x6 poles, wooden poles on the patio cover were burning without blistering the paint, turning the wood charcoal or anything.

▶ 24:57 You know that wood doesn’t burn, don’t you? You know your science. You’re looking at me like You’re looking at me like I’ve been thinking wrong all this time. No, wood does not burn. See, gas in the wood burns. And when it’s hot enough, that gas is released. And if there’s anything that can ignite it, it will burn. And I lit there. I sit there and watch this white pulse painted with paint is staying white and got a flame of fire coming out of it. I go, “Man, my science class was right.” See, are you there? Say, “Well, nothing else. You learn that wood doesn’t burn. Gas burns.” Education is important.

What does he say about society?

▶ Watch this part (25:55)

Short answer: Science once erred; he cites that half of Americans have had an STD.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 25:55 Do you know they used to believe that heat was an element? Ah, never mind. You You guys are looking at me like you didn’t even go to college or let me just get on with the lesson here. The point is science has been wrong in days past. So challenge science. Amen. Yeah. Now the most mighty men in his army bind Shadrach Ma. They tie them up. They got them chained, man. And they pick them up and they throw them into the fiery furnace. Now, folks, I was 30 foot away from this fire and I was cooking. I had to back up another 10 ft before I could handle the heat of that fire. Now, this furnace is really hot. So, how you going to throw somebody into a fire 30 foot away?

▶ 26:51 So they’re taking them up there, man. You can just see running up that ramp and throwing them in. And the flames burn them alive. Because they got to obey their commanding officer. They don’t see if these men are innocent or anything. They don’t investigate if these men are innocent. Hey, the king said so. I’m just going to do it. That’s how dictators stay in power. The fear of disobedience. And this is how the church comes back under the authority of Satan without saying it for fear of people not liking them. For fear of losing their house or losing their job or having to go to jail or something, we won’t stand up for Christ.

▶ 27:46 Boy, that was good, too. You guys are looking at me like I’m preaching a sour message this morning. The flame of fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshak, and Abednego. Millions of Germans died carrying out Hitler’s orders. Thousands of Americans died in a worthless Vietnam war that we never intended to win. Civil government, civil servants promotes and forces homosexuality on the nation as an acceptable lifestyle and marriage. Over half a million people have died.

▶ 28:38 You get my point? 50% of Americans have had or have now a sexually transmitted disease trying to live the sexual revolution idea and no politicians talking about it. Any of this stuff. You see how timely this is for us? Billions of people will die eternally because religious leaders are promising them prosperity here on earth, health, wealth, psychology, if they just put their faith in their religious group.

▶ 29:43 That’s basically what they’re telling you. You believe our way and you’re going to prosper. You’re going to be in health. Nothing bad’s going to happen to you. You believe our way and you can go to heaven and you can shack up with many people as you want. You can smoke marijuana. You can get drunk, you can take you, you just you just join our group, believe our way, man. And so the people put their faith in a person or a group or a movement instead of the Bible and Jesus Christ. Can I hear an amen? Thousands of people are dying following leaders that make immoral laws, whether it’s in the church or in society.
