Channeling your fears and we’re going to go to the book of Job to. Give us answers for. Surviving tragedies first we’re going to see what kind of man Job was in Job chapter one verse one Job was perfect upright. Scripture in this part
Job 1:1 (NKJV)
There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil.
— Job 1:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:00What does “perfect” mean in the Bible?
Short answer: Perfect simply means complete, mature in stature. God wants us to come to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of Christ, and He has the power to do it.
▶ 1:03 The word perfect simply means complete. Mature for stature now in Ephesians we found last week that God wants us to come into the unity of the faith to the knowledge of the son of God into a perfect man. With the measure of the stature of Jesus Christ now. That’s what the Bible says does God have the power to do that. If you say no you’re serving the wrong God the Bible says nothing is impossible with our God nothing you may look at yourself as a weakling with.
Scripture in this part
Ephesians 4:13 (NKJV)
till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
— Ephesians 4:13 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:03How do you become complete?
Short answer: Faith is first base. Add to your faith virtue, knowledge, self-control, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness and charity, and the fruit of the Spirit.
▶ 1:56 Problems and all that but he looks at you from his angle that he will empower you to become complete in God now what does complete mean remember in 2nd Peter 1. Peter says add to your faith virtue. So see faith is fine if you believe in Christ that’s fine but it that’s the that’s first base in fact that’s home plate you have any you haven’t gotten on diamond yet you’re just if that’s probably the warming up in the batter circle faith okay and this is what most Americans stand on my faith in Christ I’m going to heaven everything’s fine and all that no your faith in Christ is the first step you add to faith goodness you add to goodness knowledge you add to knowledge self-control you add to self-control patience first Peter chapter 1 you add to patience brotherly kindness that’s the second commandment love one another you know don’t do any harm to each other and add to brotherly love.
▶ 3:16 Charity and I missed godliness add godliness so see when you get there to where your loving God with all your heart soul in mind you have followed these steps and you have self-control you have patience and you’re complete let me give another example the fruit of the spirit is love joy peace long-suffering gentleness kindness meekness temperance and faith it repeats a lot of what Peter said are you with me you got a one by one get God to empower you with the fruits of the spirit when you get them all that’s called completeness. Are you with me see you know Jesus as a savior that’s fine but Jesus is also Lord a king and we’re to do what he commands us to do Jesus is also a friend that confides everything he’s going to do and did to his friends he holds nothing back say Jesus is also the captain of the hosts and you are part of his army he’s the son of God he’s the head of the church see what Jesus aren’t you serving are you serving I partial Jesus or a complete one.
Scripture in this part
2 Peter 1:5-7 (NKJV)
But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
— 2 Peter 1:5-7 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:56Galatians 5:22-23 (NKJV)
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
— Galatians 5:22-23 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 3:16What is wisdom and understanding?
Short answer: The fear of the Lord is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding. If you are not departing from evil, you don’t have understanding.
▶ 4:39 Are you with me and see Job was perfect and we’re going to find out if he was really perfect as we go through him it was he really complete and upright he did things right and he feared God the fear of the Lord is wisdom so Job was a wise man and you can have wisdom. Don’t ever let me he said well I’m not you know like no all of us can have wisdom the Bible plainly says he gives liberally to those that ask him the wisdom from above you know the churches in America has got to get away from this mentality that we come to hear a great speaker inspirational speaker aha yeah and then we go home no in Ephesians the Bible says every joint what supplies you got to become a participant and grow.
▶ 5:33 Into the nurture if you go home the way you came you’ve missed God. God has has come together to provoke one another to love and to good works and to mature us are you with me so. Joe. Was a a good man and to depart from evil is understanding you think you got understanding you’re not departing from evil you still use profanity you still drink you still you know put other people down you still don’t have control over your temper you know you don’t have understanding. All those things are harmful when you can’t control your tongue and you attack people that hurts people that’s harmful and you don’t have understanding.
Scripture in this part
Job 28:28 (NKJV)
And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, And to depart from evil is understanding.’ ”
— Job 28:28 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:39Why does the doctrine of Christ matter?
Short answer: Whoever transgresses and abides not in the doctrine of Christ has not God; he that abides in it has both the Father and the Son. Be converted to Christ, not just to religion.
▶ 6:27 You need to get understanding can I hear an amen and we come to church so God can mature us and use us not just to put in our time now. In. Second John 1:9 doctrine is very important. All and I put converts here because he’s talking to believers now how many you know there’s a difference between a convert and a follower of Christ. See if there’s difference between a convert and the disciple of Christ a big difference see the Jews Jesus said went out and made converts and they made him twice the children of hell than they were see just because you convert somebody to your ideal of who Jesus is does not mean you converted them to follow Jesus they are following your opinions your belief and your level of God.
▶ 7:40 So I submit to you don’t just be converted to religion be converted to Christ and to follow him could that be any men all converts who transgress they break the law and abide not in the doctrine of Christ has not God woo did you hear that if you don’t abide in the doctrine of Christ you don’t have God. Receive him not into your house nor bid him godspeed so that you are not a partaker of his evil deeds woo. Wow. And we’re afraid to stand up to our children to our moms and dads and to our family and our friends and all that with the truth of God’s word and when we don’t we aren’t agreeing with them that they’re okay they’re going to heaven but to keep harmony we just keep quiet but the doctrine is what vitally important.
▶ 8:44 He that abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the father and the son didn’t Jesus say they that love me keep my commandments and me and my father will come and abide in them today that’s the doctrine of Christ now the doctrine of Christ is a six-day creation these Christians that say that God took millions of years to create the world they are limiting a supernatural power of God if he says it and it’s done it’s done we don’t mean to make any excuses for it you see that’s a false doctrine that’s a wrong doctrine and you’re not to pat them on the back and okay whatever you’re to tell them God did it in six days are you with me. The trinity or is all right there in Genesis I just started with Genesis the spirit of God moved on the face of the water the Holy Ghost was there let us make man in our image God and Jesus were there the three-part identity of God was right at the beginning and it’s all the way through the Bible and stopped trying to rationalize it with human thinking God is one God and manifest himself in three different ways God the father God the son God the Holy Spirit can I hear an amen and that’s it that settles it an argument ain’t no debate.
Scripture in this part
2 John 1:9-10 (NKJV)
Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him;
— 2 John 1:9-10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:27John 14:23 (NKJV)
Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
— John 14:23 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:44Is Jesus the only way?
Short answer: Yes. Not all roads lead to God; Jesus is the only way to the Father and the only way to have your sins forgiven. You must repent and confess your sin.
▶ 10:08 Jesus is the only way to God and deliverance from sin and Satan is that true yes there’s not all roads lead to God Jesus is the only way to the father and the only way that you can have your sins forgiven the only way don’t come telling me that you know Muslims and the Buddhists and all that you know they can make it in Jesus is the way either he lied or he told the truth and we are lying when we said there’s other ways to God. Doctrine is very important water baptism there’s people who believe you don’t have to be water baptized that is stupid Jesus Christ himself was water baptized Jesus Christ himself was what water baptized. And these are prominent things out there that that I’m just hitting with you.
▶ 11:06 Repent means to turn from your sin this I believe in God therefore I have eternal security and I’m going to heaven no matter what because I believe you better repent you better turn from your sin and not only that you got to confess your sin and turn from your sin before he will deliver you there is a lake of fire and there is a paradise in heaven when you die you will go to paradise you will go to the third heaven waiting for the end time when he will transport you back to a new heaven and a new earth amen these things are real hell is real heaven is real. Amen church Job was a perfect man an upright man and a complete man feared God he departed from evil his doctrines got to be right you say well you know Job was way back there I mean he’s one of the oldest books in the Bible yes but God is the same one yesterday today and forever just because we have the enlightenment of the new covenant in the New Testament and that that new part of the Bible does not mean it was not working in the Old Testament and wasn’t taught in the Old Testament and if you really know your New Testament the New Testament is made up of scriptures from the Old Testament.
Scripture in this part
John 14:6 (NKJV)
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
— John 14:6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 10:08Should you let life lead you?
Short answer: No. Most people let life lead them and follow whatever the crowd is doing; take charge of your life and pursue spiritual maturity.
▶ 12:26 Amen. So stop saying I can’t do perfect I can’t meet me too I can’t you know most people do not lead their life they let life lead them whatever whatever America is doing I’ll just do it to whatever the crowds doing over there. You need to take charge of your life you need to take charge of your future and you need to pursue spiritual maturity could that be an amen and be upright God can do anything he can make you upright he can make you one that departs from evil he is God but you got to seek him amen and that’s why we come to church to grow and that’s why a lot of us don’t grow we go to church to put in our time millions of Christians are sitting in in sanctuaries today that’s been sitting there for years and they go home the same way and they wait for the bell ringing message to inspire them for that instead of getting something from God that they can use through the week tragedy strikes jove as we all know he lost all of his sources of wealth in one day sources of wealth remember Job was the wise man he had stuff soared up because the wise man stores up he doesn’t spins everything he doesn’t squander everything like we do in America and go into debt Job was a wise man so we know he stored up but his sources of income
What tragedies struck Job?
Short answer: In one day his wealth and employees were lost and his children were killed by a great wind; then Satan struck him with boils, and his wife said curse God and die.
▶ 13:57 were gone in one day. His employees were killed but a few just two or three was left alive they were killed by bandits or far from heaven Job’s children were killed by a great win the same day all this happened in one day you talk about tragedy and calamity bam he got hit with it all Satan as you know and jobe wan was the cause of this he stood before God and said yeah yeah you do bad to Job and he’ll curse you to your face the only reason he’s serving you as you do good to him I think God says you don’t know joe you don’t know what I’ve done in Job Satan go ahead do your thing. Job is not gonna turn from me I matured him I perfected him I developed him a man judge.
▶ 14:50 No tragedy strikes again. Job to Satan smoke Job with painful boils Job’s wife said curse God and die I wish you were dead you ever heard that in the home I wish you were dad I hate you yeah. Job’s wife turned on it and said joe just curse God and die denounce God and just die get out of this mess get him get out of this thing. And then in chapter 3 verse 25 we have this. Statement. The thing this is what Job said the thing that I greatly feared has come upon me and that which I was afraid of has come to me and I submit to you this morning what did Job fear just answer that to yourself what did Job fear.
Scripture in this part
Job 1:13-19 (NKJV)
Now there was a day when his sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house; and a messenger came to Job and said, “The oxen were plowing and the donkeys feeding beside them, when the Sabeans raided them and took them away—indeed they have killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!” While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants, and consumed them; and I alone have escaped to tell you!” While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “The Chaldeans formed three bands, raided the camels and took them away, yes, and killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!” While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house, and suddenly a great wind came from across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people, and they are dead; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”
— Job 1:13-19 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 13:57Job 2:7-9 (NKJV)
So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD, and struck Job with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head. And he took for himself a potsherd with which to scrape himself while he sat in the midst of the ashes. Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!”
— Job 2:7-9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:50What was Job’s great fear?
Short answer: The thing which he greatly feared came upon him. It wasn’t losing wealth, children, health or harmony at home; none of those made him sin with his lips.
▶ 15:56 What was this great fear he had. What was he so afraid of did you answer that question to yourself. If you did raise your hand a few of us have a brain. Some of us are afraid to do it because I when I bring up the real fear you’re gonna oh God I was wrong. All right now. Was losing his source of wealth his staff killed by bandits and fire and now he’s got to provide workers compensation. You see joke was a wise man it was a righteous man these widows and orphans from that man losing his income in the home Job as a Christian as a follower Christ had to provide for them and I’ll show you that later.
▶ 17:00 See that was a big load all of his employees are gone and now these women and these children these wives and these children are without any income in the home you think Job is gonna turn his back on those families. See Job was a real Christian folks before Christ ever died on the cross he was a real Christian losing all of his children by a great wind every one of his kids bam gone no heirs. All that work he put into them. With the sickness and feeding them and training them and educating them and developing them gone in one day. Was that what he feared. Let’s see what Job’s response was to these three. Jobs respond to these three tragedies chapter 1 verse 21 the Lord gave the Lord took away blessed be the name of the Lord in all this Job sinned not nor charged God with wrong.
▶ 18:08 Those tragedies did not bother Job one bit. That wasn’t what he was afraid of are you with me. Are you interested in what he was afraid of I should have got your attention by now. Okay was it losing his health to painful boils was it his wife wanting him dead and then no harmony in the home contention in the home oh God better to dwelled in the desert than in the same roof with contentious wife you know bicker and complaining and slapping her mouth all the time and that goes for a bickering man too.
▶ 18:54 All right no harmony in the home did that bother joe not at all Job’s response to these next tragedies was this Job said to his wife you speak as a foolish woman speaks he didn’t say here I am I’m homesick and I got boils and and I have to set out on the ash heap and scratch myself with the ashes and and I’ve lost all my income and we’ve lost our kids and you’re attacking me with its you know curse God and die and do that he wine he and complain he just said you’re speaking as a foolish woman speaks you’re not speaking with understanding you’re not speaking with wisdom didn’t attack her didn’t blame her didn’t defend himself and then he says this shall we receive good at the hand of a godly wife and not receive evil are we just gonna serve God because everything goes well for us are we going to serve God no matter what comes.
Scripture in this part
Job 3:25 (NKJV)
For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, And what I dreaded has happened to me.
— Job 3:25 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 15:56Job 2:10 (NKJV)
But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.
— Job 2:10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 18:54What was Job really afraid of losing?
Short answer: Losing God’s presence. He cried that he knew where he might find Him, not for wealth or health or his children back.
▶ 19:57 See disharmony in the home and losing his health did not affect Job at all cuz that wasn’t what he was afraid of so what was jobe afraid of in all this Job did not sin with his lips. If these tragedies were not what Job was afraid of then what was Job afraid o Job 23:3 [unclear] that I knew where I might find. Him o. That I might come to his place o.
▶ 20:49 What was Job afraid of losing God losing his presence losing that. Relationship with God that’s what he was afraid of as we will see. He didn’t ask here o that I might find wealth again o that I might find health again o that my children would be raised from the dead o. That I would have harmony with my wife he didn’t say any of that did he he said all that I might find him God had backed off and left Job to deal with Satan on his own. After he perfected him after he completed him after he knew the capabilities of Job God backed off and that’s what Job was afraid of losing.
Scripture in this part
Job 23:3 (NKJV)
Oh, that I knew where I might find Him, That I might come to His seat!
— Job 23:3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 19:57Does God answer us?
Short answer: Job said he would order his cause before God and know the words He would answer. God’s presence comes to talk to you and teach you, and you can pass it on to others.
▶ 21:45 God. Are we afraid of that do we even know we can have that kind of intimacy with God now let’s continue Job 23 3 verse 4 I would order my cause before him if I could find him I wouldn’t know and understand the word he would answer me church I’ve told you for years the presence of God comes to talk to you comes to teach you not to just make you feel good oh lu your God’s here whoa he comes to whisper in your ear things you need for your life things you need for the day things you need for the week things you need to change things that he wants to empower you and he comes to want to talk to you and that’s called growing in God to maturity and the.
▶ 22:39 American church I’ve been preaching it for 40 years that the presence of God comes to teach you to talk to you and most people don’t believe me. They don’t really believe that they can hear God what good is coming to church if you can’t hear from God for your situation. God just wants us to come to church and sit here and then go home and just sit here and then go home and no change no the church is there to provoke us to love and the good work the church is there to mature us by the gifts of the spirit by the preaching of the word by spiritual prayers by spiritual prophecies the church is there where we can get developed and grow. That’s why if even says every joint supplies.
▶ 23:33 When you get impartation from God for something you can pass it on to others. It’s not that the minister has to do everything and pray every prayer or whatever you when you grow you can pass that on to others every joint supplies. Amen is this a powerful message yes is this a word directly to you absolutely nothing is impossible with God he can complete you he can empower you to depart from evil he can empower you to add all these things to your faith all the fruits of the spirit he can do it you can’t doesn’t come through human understanding and human knowledge it comes through the empowerment of God.
▶ 24:35 How many would like to get an answer from God he wants to answer you folks honestly we’re waiting for the jb favre all the mighty men of God or woman of God to come and do something say something when God wants you to come to him and hear his voice and then rise up and apply it. Got it you don’t come you don’t grow you don’t seek you don’t find he will he plead against me with great power is he gonna accuse me and put me under condemnation and and put a guilt trip on me no. He no he will put strength in me his great power it’s the same word he’s gonna come and empower me strengthen me he knows everything about me anyway doesn’t he even before you tell them what’s wrong with you he already knows what’s wrong with you.
Scripture in this part
Job 23:4-5 (NKJV)
I would present my case before Him, And fill my mouth with arguments. I would know the words which He would answer me, And understand what He would say to me.
— Job 23:4-5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 21:45What will God make of our trials?
Short answer: Job said, when He has tested me I shall come forth as gold. God uses the tragedy to make you better than when you started.
▶ 25:40 So he’s not out to go hurl you bad guy you ever go down the list ten twenty hundred thing but no he comes to empower you to strengthen you with his power. And Job new this remember he was a perfect it was a complete man he knew this stuff he knew that if he could find God he’s going to get answers I. Go forward I go backward I go to the right I go to the left I’m seeking God and seeking for him I’m looking for him I’m doing everything I can to find him why cuz that’s my great fear I was afraid I’m gonna lose my relationship with God. He’s seeking do you come to church seeking God seeking Jesus or you come to just put in your time.
▶ 26:40 But I couldn’t see him I couldn’t find him but when he is through testing me I will come forth as gold you see what a complete man says when this is over I. Am gonna wind up finding him and he is going to make me a better piece of gold than I was when I started this test wow. God’s gonna use this tragedy this calamity. This trouble this tribulation to refine me and make me more beautiful. Hallelujah. Verse 11 and 12 his words have I kept more than my necessary food you see Job has given us what a perfect a complete man does the complete man puts the word of God above his food above exercise above.
Scripture in this part
Job 23:10 (NKJV)
But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.
— Job 23:10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 26:40How did Job value God’s word?
Short answer: I have esteemed the words of His mouth more than my necessary food. The word sets you free, heals you and makes you wiser than your enemies.
▶ 27:49 Surfing or whatever. If I’m going to take time to eat food I’m going to take time to eat spiritual food God’s word so that means the word of God was there. He knew about God’s word to Abraham Isaac and Jacob he knew about this stuff and he put time with the word above time with eating and feeding his natural body do we. That’s what a mature man does. That’s what I’m a to a person does they are more interested in their spiritual condition than they are in their physical and they don’t leave the physical you know they don’t do stupid things physically either you know what I mean yeah.
▶ 28:42 In that powerful I. Mean we’ll raise your hands that God give me that kind of desire that I put your word above yes because that word set you free folks the word heals you you go through the Bible it’s the word the word set you free the word heals you the word makes you wiser than your enemies it’s the word and if you’re not in the word how you gonna grow you can’t grow here in one sermon a week I was telling one of the businessmen last week listen you don’t need radio ministers you don’t need television ministers he was a sinner he wasn’t following God and ayahs and I said why don’t you follow Jesus and I told him you notice I didn’t say why don’t you believe in Jesus I said why don’t you follow Jesus his head went down and he told me you know he was busy and all this and I showed him and you know he named some famous ministers I said the biggest the greatest teachers are Jesus himself the apostle Paul the apostle Peter James these are the great preachers all of us preachers can do today is tell you what they said and you can go down the road on your way to work listening to the Bible and the Holy Ghost can convince you and mature you and change you you can redeem the time it’s called redeeming the time you know you can listen to secular music and secular voices motivational things or you can listen to the greatest teachers Isaiah Jeremiah all of them guys are the
▶ 30:13 greatest preachers the greatest teachers and all any of us can do is repeat what they said the problem is a lot of ministers throw in their opinion and their interpretation you need to just listen to the great preachers he does whatsoever he pleases that’s why I’m in this situation God did this he allowed this he does what he wants. You think you’re going to twist God’s arm to do what you want him to do he does what he pleases his best to get on his side what are you doing today Lord. What are you doing today Lord I want to be in what you’re doing and then here it comes verse 15 he answers the question what his great fear was I am terrified I am troubled I am afraid at his presence it wasn’t losing his family losing his wealth losing his health or no.
Scripture in this part
Job 23:12 (NKJV)
I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth More than my necessary food.
— Job 23:12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 27:49Why is losing God’s presence so serious?
Short answer: When the Spirit left Samson, he was just like the world. God Himself is our exceeding great reward, and with Him we can get through any crisis.
▶ 31:15 Harmony in the home it wasn’t that at all it’s he was afraid of losing God’s presence. Sampson remember the spirit left sampson. And when the spirit left sampson he was just like the regular world. Are you hearing me to it we can get through any tragedy any calamity any crisis. By finding him and letting him speak to us and empower us and strengthen us psychology won’t do it I have been dealing with psychology for forty years now it doesn’t work all it does is shift the blame God delivers God heals God sets free God empowers God strengthens.
▶ 32:15 I’m afraid I worry of him I’m concerned about him he is what I need then the Bible say he is our exceedingly great reward see not harming in the home not kids that are healthy not our own health you know not our Job our income our employment but God himself is our exceeding any great reward and with him we can go to him with our petitions he will strengthen us he will always be changing us if we will hear what the spirit is saying to you and you responding. Look at this Moses wraps it up Exodus 33:14 God said my presence shall go with you and I will give you rest.
Scripture in this part
Judges 16:20 (NKJV)
And she said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” So he awoke from his sleep, and said, “I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!” But he did not know that the LORD had departed from him.
— Judges 16:20 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 31:15Genesis 15:1 (NKJV)
After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”
— Genesis 15:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 32:15What should we look for in church?
Short answer: His presence. Moses asked how it would be known they had found grace except God went with them. Where two or three are gathered, He is in the midst.
▶ 33:18 Do you want to hear God say that to you his presence his spirit. Moses said look at this. Moses said how is it known that I and your people have found grace in your sight I mean you know the most of the church world only talk about faith and grace faith and great faith and grace faith and great faith and grace faith and grace we hide behind faith and grace but Moses said how is it known that me and your people have found grace in your sight and then he answers the question is it not that you go with us your presence is with us so your presence separates us I and your people from all the people on the face of the earth it’s your presence.
▶ 34:18 So what should we be looking for when we come to church his presence him his touch I don’t care you can listen to Bible studies till doomsday but until he touches you and opened your understanding you know nothing you just have hidden on it. Until he quickens that word in you and you possess it you don’t have anything you just hear I submit to you today as Joel. Confronted his crisis with perfect peace. He let none of those tragedies bother him and we fall apart if we have an accident have a fender-bender. We fall apart all right you know some simple thing we just fall apart and Job had all this to happen in one day and then several days later the next one very close and he had fall apart why because Job was a complete man a mature man a matt or follow of Christ that hated evil departed from evil he was a wise follower of Christ and his.
▶ 35:38 Major concern was what he had before the crisis his concern was a relationship with God and after the crisis his concern was the relationship with God and church he said of two or three are gathered together I will be in the mist he’s here this morning and if you can get your eyes off the singers and the instrument players and me and those sitting around you and just focus on Christ he will come and touch you. He will come and you will feel his presence and he will talk to you if you will open your ear to hear what he’s saying to you. Song of Solomon says I sought him whom I so loved I sought him but I could not find him I will arise now and I will seek him whom I so loves and I sought him but I could not find him so no Solomon’s 3-1 you get the picture her beloved her beloved is the illustration of Christ.

Exodus 33:15-16 (NKJV)
Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here. For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth.”

Short answer: She asked the watchmen if they had seen her beloved; church leaders can be blind to God’s presence. But when she passed them, she found Him.
▶ 36:46 She goes out and she goes past the watchman that have the responsibility of guarding the city and they said if you she says have you seen my beloved the [unclear] said no I haven’t seen him see watchmen church leaders can be blind to the presence of God they may not able to to feel or see the presence of God at all. But once she went past the watchman who couldn’t see him he was right there just past them and they couldn’t see him. But. The bright side. And she says I got him and I wouldn’t let him go yeah I’m losing you again but I’m not losing you again wherever you go cuz he rose up and left her in the room by herself from now on see I’m going with you I’m not losing it do you want that kind of desire for Christ and the results of that kind of relationship if you do stand with me let’s sing out of Jeremiah 29:13 and used to seek me and you shall find me when you shall search for me with all your heart and I will be found of you and whatever your petition is he can meet it.
