From the sermonCan Our Past Limit God’s Present Promises? — January 10, 2021 · Pastor David G. Kincer▶ 0:00

Pastor David G. Kincer begins John 11, where Jesus promised Lazarus’s sickness was not unto death. The disciples forgot that promise out of fear from the past. We hinder God’s purpose by yesterday’s fears, and past hurts — like a young wife’s abuse — need not define us. Through His blood, every sin is forgiven and we can let the past go.

What is the question?

▶ Watch this part (23:33)

Short answer: Can our past limit God’s present promises?

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 23:33 Today we are going to be talking about a different subject. We’re going to ask ourselves the question. Can our past limit or even reject. God’s present promises. Can the past limit or even reject God’s. It causes us. To reject God’s. Present promises we are going to go to John chapter 11 verses 1 through 44. We’re going to be using these scriptures for several weeks. And to set the stage we’re going to define the characters. In this Bible story. Because the the defined characters here are very important.

Who were Lazarus, Mary and Martha?

▶ Watch this part (24:27)

Short answer: Lazarus was weak and sickly; Mary sat at Jesus’ feet; Martha was distracted and complained.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 24:27 First we have Lazarus. A disciple that’s weak sickly and uh just one of those followers that things just don’t ever seem to go right. And he had two sisters and no mention of a mother and dad so obviously these guys were orphaned somewhere along the road had to unite together to survive. And the Bible says that all three of these Jesus loved okay he loved the weak and the sickly sickly one. Mary his sister was the one that anointed Jesus with ointment and wiped his feet with her hair. She is the one that said at Jesus feet to hear his words which Jesus said was the necessary.

▶ 25:24 And good thing. Mary did that and Jesus loved Mary. Martha the other sister was distracted from Jesus. Distracted from Jesus by serving Jesus and his disciples she’s busy cooking she’s busy washing clothes she’s busy sweeping the floor she’s busy doing all these things. That. Create an atmosphere a facility for worshipers and and people who want to learn the word to come she’s a really workhorse this Martha. She’s also a complainer. You got him in every church.

▶ 26:17 Now complain Mary’s she’s not helping me I’m doing all this by myself she’s not helping me. And you got complainers. And. Martha was worried and troubled about many things you got these people also today in the church they worry about everything. All right there are some are complainers some are just busy doing things for God they don’t have time for God. Okay. It’s important to know the characters the next character is Jesus Christ himself the only begotten son of God the only savior and the only miracle worker sent by God hey preacher. Peter John and them they did miracles no.

▶ 27:10 Jesus did miracles through them without me Jesus said you can do nothing. And the Bible says that Jesus worked with the word confirming the word that the apostles taught with signs following so who did the signs. Jesus. He’s the only miracle worker he’s the only savior and he’s the only human birth by God whose father was God not a human father and then you have the apostles themselves. Oh these 12 men that followed Jesus these guys were healing the sick casting out devils they left everything their home their job everything to preach the gospel that brought salvation.

▶ 28:04 To sinners from their sin. These guys were doing. Miraculous things. And then you have the religious people the Jews. The Jews who wept with Martha and Mary over Lazarus death they did the religious thing someone’s in trouble you go and comfort them you go and do what you do to help them but these Jews rejected Jesus just because you’re doing nice things to people. Doesn’t mean you’re doing them for God. Or believing God or following God so these characters are very important now that the stage is set let’s go. To John.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Luke 10:39-40 (NKJV)

And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.”

— Luke 10:39-40 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 25:24

What did the sisters send?

▶ Watch this part (28:58)

Short answer: Lord, he whom You love is sick.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 28:58 That 11th chapter verse 3 Lazarus two sisters. Sent unto Jesus saying Lord. He whom you love is sick. Now this is amazing to me because they didn’t send a message to Jesus to come because Lazarus is sick they didn’t send the message to Jesus to Lord heal him. Because Lazarus is sick they just sent a message saying. Lazarus is sick. Folks you got to be pacific in your things you’re asking for God be specific. All right don’t just say come Lord say Lord come and do this or you don’t even have to come do this.

▶ 29:51 Am I right didn’t Jesus heal other people without them coming to him absolutely you can come or he can do it far away it’s just interesting that they did not send that kind of message so Jesus told the messengers. When he heard their message and the apostles that were there. And everyone that was there this sickness is not unto death okay this is an important statement by Jesus read it with me this sickness is not unto death read it again with me this sickness is not unto death. But what’s it for then. So God will be glorified.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

John 11:3 (NKJV)

Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.”

— John 11:3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 28:58

What did Jesus say about it?

▶ Watch this part (30:45)

Short answer: This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 30:45 And his son Jesus Christ might be glorified. By this sickness not unto death. Now Christ is given them the goals of the father here. He’s telling them what the father is about to do. Okay. So. The next verse says Jesus loved Martha Jesus loved Mary and Jesus loved Lazarus so obviously Jesus had been involved with these people before. But after he said the sickness is not unto death he waited two more days. In the same place how many ever notice on your prayers that God does not seem to be in a big hurry.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

John 11:4 (NKJV)

When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”

— John 11:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 30:45

Is Jesus in a hurry?

▶ Watch this part (31:44)

Short answer: No; He stayed two more days. The disciples feared the Jews who had tried to stone Him.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 31:44 Yeah. That’s what I found a long time ago man he is in he’s just not in any hurry. And he isn’t in any hurry here so after telling them the sickness is not unto death but God’s going to be glorified and that he’s going to be glorified he waits two days well you know us Christians you know us followers after two days we forget. The message. That this sickness is not unto death two days have gone by okay well that’s old news so we’re back. To our old idol. Way of following God. In that fact it is truth. That people forget.

▶ 32:38 A catastrophic thing in a very short period of time. Okay they forget what an evil person does in a very short period of time and so forth and so we’re going to go now and continue. In this chapter with this statement of we’re going to see the first limitation. Of a present promise. By an experience of the past. What they experienced. With Christ in the past is now going to limit. Their present promise by God. Are you interested. So Jesus says after two days let us go unto judea again.

▶ 33:32 Let’s go again. And these. Oops I’m hitting the wrong button here. And these disciples these great apostles. Healing the sick. Casting out demons preaching the gospel people getting saved left all to follow Christ their job their family away from their family there are great sacrificers these great apostles this is their answer. Master. The Jews just recently just a few days ago. Sought to stone you. And you’re going to go there again. See two days went by and all they could remember. Was the last time they were in judea they tried to kill Jesus.

▶ 34:28 They forgot all about this sickness is not unto death that God’s going to be glorified and Jesus is going to be glorified. Forgot all about it. This past. Experience. Caused them to ignore. What God was doing at the present time. And that’s us church. That’s us Christians today. What God did in the past or what we see in the past. Hinders us from believing what God wants to do in the present. Verse 9. So Jesus gives them a metaphor of teaching like he always does a parable a metaphor.

▶ 35:23 He says you’re great apostles of mine that’s healing the sick casting out devils left everything to preach my gospel. Are there 12 hours in a day and the apostles of course duh yeah yeah 12 hours in the night too so so what. If any walk in the day he stumbles not. For he sees by the light of the world. Very interesting. He sees by the light of the world. But if a man walks in the night. He stumbles for there is no light in him very interesting statement. Humans do not have light within them they walk during the day by the light of the sun don’t they s-u-n sun.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

John 11:6-8 (NKJV)

So, when He heard that he was sick, He stayed two more days in the place where He was. Then after this He said to the disciples, “Let us go to Judea again.” The disciples said to Him, “Rabbi, lately the Jews sought to stone You, and are You going there again?”

— John 11:6-8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 31:44

What did Jesus say about daylight?

▶ Watch this part (36:23)

Short answer: Are there not twelve hours in the day? We are children of the day; night comes when no one can work.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 36:23 At night they can carry a lantern a candlestick a lamp. To see with but Jesus didn’t bring that up. Jesus said they have no light within them. Very important teaching here and the great apostles just like you goes right over your head. Are you out there church. Now. The Bible tells us. In Matthew 5:14 that you Jesus said you are the light of the world. See because the word is light and the words within us Jesus and the father is light they are in us so we become the what light of the world we have light in us.

▶ 37:23 To shine in the darkness. Did you notice how he did that. Did you notice how Jesus put that together the world don’t have light spiritual light in them to shine in the darkness of sin and debauchery of the world do they. Now in this little parable a tremendous teaching when you look at it right yes and we read it and it goes right over our heads. But that’s why we need teachers. And the Holy Ghost to teach us these things okay the Bible says you are sons of light and sons of the day who are sons of light and sons of the day followers of Christ these apostles they are sons of light and sons of the day they have light within them.

▶ 38:21 That shines in the darkness of the kingdom of darkness the sin and debauchery that’s out there. He’s trying to say apostles my great apostles wake up do you know who you are. You’re a solution to these things. All right and that’s in Thessalonians first Thessalonians 5 5. You are not sons of the night nor sons of darkness you have light within you to be a light to the sons of darkness and sons of night got it church hallelujah very powerful teaching so after he teaches them. They’re going to be great apostles I I guess and and straighten themselves out.

▶ 39:15 But let’s let’s look at what Jesus said at the proper time. The daytime. We are children of the day and the will of God is very important for what God’s doing in the present. But we are the light of the world. We are the answer see Jesus. Because he was the light as long as he was in the world had a solution for Mary and Martha’s problem amen and he’s telling his apostles you. Are a solution. To the darkness of this world’s problems. So we find in John 9:4 I must work the works of him who sent me while it is what day.

▶ 40:08 Night is coming when no man can work as long as I’m in the world I am the light of the world. So he’s getting close to departing from the world and his light won’t be shining meaning the night is coming. But he is preparing 12 apostles to keep shining isn’t he and a whole church to keep shining amen. Now. This is so important for the church to be reminded of Jesus said in 5 chapter 5 verse 19 of John the son can do nothing of himself isn’t that amazing. The son can do nothing of himself well the son can do nothing of himself guess what the church can’t do we can’t do nothing without Jesus or the one that does it through him.

▶ 41:02 Could that be an amen God the father tells Jesus and Jesus does it through us so who gets the glory. God the father as God Jesus told them right at the beginning and Jesus his son get the glory amen. Hallelujah. He I only do what I see the father do he father tells him to do something and and best example of this is the of this is the pool of bethesda where he walked all over all of these crippled people these sick and diseased people and healed one because that’s what the father told him to do now back in old Pentecost man they would the new believers would come in get so excited about God they’d go to the hospital and gonna pray and just you know get every sick person out of the hospital no if it’s not the will of the father.

John 11:9-10 (NKJV)

Whom should we help?

▶ Watch this part (42:06)

Short answer: Do good to all, especially the household of faith; the church paid a teacher’s salary through cancer.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 42:06 It’s not going to happen. Amen we can’t get extreme in anything. Now. As I said before Matthew 5:14 you’re the light of the world let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works okay this is one of the ways we can be alike like Martha she was doing. Good helping washing clothes and cooking and serving and all this. That stuff needs to be done okay living righteous you know not taking drugs not getting drunk with alcohol and all these things that’s being a light to the world okay and it says this in Galatians 6:10 as we have opportunity.

▶ 43:00 Let us do good to all. And then he adds this statement especially. To the family of God and that’s what a local church. Does. They that support that church faithful to that church that church is responsible to take care of them as the opportunity comes are you there. And this church has done that we have given hundreds of thousands of dollars in alms to others but we’ve also helped those in the church that needed help at the time we’ve had two cancer patients in the church. One of them. Had to go through a year of treatment or so she worked in our Christian school.

▶ 43:54 And at that time there was no staff member that could take her place because she was teaching. Chemistry and physics in our Christian school and no one on staff could teach though. So the only person that could solve the problem was myself. Because I can teach those things. So I had to keep my full-time job and do her full-time job because the church didn’t have the money to pay. This person had got cancer and been treated their salary. And pay someone else to take her place the money wasn’t there. So you see this is what a church does. We can do things when the opportunity comes and yes it was one of my hardest years in serving God it was it was a very difficult year physically but we got through it and we did it our latest.

▶ 44:54 Cancer victim. Was treated we paid her salary while she was gone this church has always been wise in handling its money and we could pay someone to do her job and pay her while she was recuperating. Okay and she got recuperated come back and is working again. Others. Have caught covet or tb or gotten sick and right now in this church. Half of the staff is sick. But the other half has stepped up and done everything necessary making the sacrifices to make the school and the church work while these people are recovering from covet sickness and other diseases are you with me my assistant mike came in Friday.

▶ 45:55 To help in the school because that was a very I had another member that couldn’t be there now over half of the staff was gone. And that’s what a church does and that’s the importance of a local church it isn’t for the pastor to fly jets driver rolls royce live in a million dollar mansion it’s to help the family of God that’s what it says here we have opportunity let us do good especially to the family of faith and this is what Jesus is telling teaching his disciples we are the light we’re in the daytime we’re children of the day we affect the children of darkness and we got an opportunity here to go down and meet Mary Martha and Lazarus needs so let’s go meet their names amen.

▶ 46:54 Hallelujah. But I want to tell you something. Helping the family of God and helping others is not where God wants to stop miracles. By a supernatural God that humans cannot. Find a cure for or a solution for are what proves. That God is real and supernatural and I submit to you here and I submit to you on facebook and youtube that there is coming a opportunity in the future Jesus said that he would not come back until the gospel was preached as a witness with signs and wonders. He will not come back to that happens and we’re going to see a season in the church where we’re not just doing good and helping each other out but we’re going to see God healing and delivering and setting free like only he can do amen that’s what the scriptures say so don’t you give up on God don’t be lazy like these apostles after two days they forgot all about what God was going to do in the present time stay alert don’t forget.

What did the apostles forget?

▶ Watch this part (48:18)

Short answer: That the sickness was not unto death — fears of yesterday hindered them.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 48:18 He told the apostles that sickness is not unto death and they’ve totally forgot it after two days don’t do that this time is coming when God is going to fulfill these scriptures everything’s going to be restored and miracles are going to happen and it’s going to happen to the church who are the people of light to the world of darkness can I hear an amen. Hallelujah now after he gets to teaching them that great teaching wasn’t that a great teaching doesn’t that help you understand how important you are and how important it is to stay alert to what God’s saying now. And what God’s doing now rather than what happened in the past so he says our friend Lazarus sleeps I go that I may wake him out of his sleep. And the great apostles.

▶ 49:11 Who are healing the sick casting out demons and left all to follow crowd and preach the gospel says Lord if he sleeps he does well they didn’t understand he spoke that Lazarus is dead. So he turns around and says to. Them Lazarus is dead now this conflicts what he said earlier just two days ago he said this sickness is not unto death. And now he tells them without a messenger coming. He just tells them. Lazarus is dead but you said he wasn’t going to die. No he said this sickness is not unto death. Death is not going to bar and prevent.

▶ 50:03 God being glorified and his son being glorified. Are you with me. Hallelujah. I use these examples so you don’t get down on yourself if the apostles can be dull of listening. I mean you know we shouldn’t get down on ourselves because we’re dull of listening I mean God gave them these this great authority and you know they’re in lubey land here don’t understand what God said so don’t get down on yourself. Pick yourself up all right. Now. Here’s a real good statement I am glad for your sakes you apostles that I was not there. To the purpose the intent.

Why did Jesus go?

▶ Watch this part (50:55)

Short answer: That you may believe; unbelief doesn’t hinder God except where He ordained it.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 50:55 That you may believe so let us go unto Lazarus you may believe now the church world every time I turn on the tv and the radio and watch some. Program to see what’s going on out there and other churches and other ministers they’re always laying. The fault of you not possessing the promises. Because of your faith. If you believe if you believe if you believe they’re always saying the whole thing is if you believe well the apostles aren’t believing. They’re flat out not believing and these guys have been walking with Christ these guys have been given authority. And they don’t believe.

▶ 51:52 And you won’t find anywhere in the Bible except where God ordained it that people’s unbelief hindered what God was going to do God’s going to do what he’s going to do whether you believe or not can that be an amen he’s bigger than your unbelief you out there in facebook land and and youtube God is bigger than your unbelief. If your faith is big enough to ask him. If your faith is just big enough to send a message and say Lazarus is sick that’s all the faith these sisters had Lazarus is six that’s all the faith they had. But that’s all the faith that Jesus needed. Amen. And whatever faith you have at the bottom.

▶ 52:46 Of the ladder if it’s just you’re thankful because your name is written in the book of life that you have accepted Christ in his death on the cross for your sins that’s all the faith he needs to do things in your life could that be an amen. So not only is God going to. Be glorified in this and Jesus glorified in this. The apostles are going to be bumped up in their faith and their belief in their trust of God. Then said thomas let us go also that we may die with him here is their faith they’re still back in the past that Jesus is going to be stoned and he we go back there they’re going to kill him.

▶ 53:40 I mean they’re doing miracles folks they’re healing the sick they’re casting out devils and yet they don’t get it that nobody can touch Jesus unless the father permits it and the father isn’t going to permit anything until he is ready for Christ to die on that cross amen they didn’t get it. So don’t be hard on yourself out there church because you don’t understand everything just realize. That your simple faith will is enough for God to do things in your present time if you don’t get hung up on the past. Hallelujah. Ah let’s go die with him let’s go die with him and that’s the that’s the mentality in the church today you know America’s just falling apart well this is the end times let’s just let it fall apart let’s just let it happen let’s don’t do anything about it.

How do we hinder God?

▶ Watch this part (54:48)

Short answer: By our fears of yesterday.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 54:48 See. We hinder. God’s purpose today by our fears of yesterday. So. We’re going to tie this in. You cannot trust faith. Especially. Your faith you cannot trust belief especially your belief only truth for the present time can be trusted. What is the truth what is he saying now not what he said yesterday what is he saying to the church now is what we’ve got to put our trust in your faith isn’t enough you’ve got to trust Jesus to do what he has set out to do by the father now.

▶ 55:44 The apostles had no faith in Jesus saying Lazarus sickness is not unto death here’s four things that God said was going to happen. Lazarus was going to be raised from the dead. For the purpose of glorifying God number three glorifying his son Jesus and number four that you might believe. Four goals. And they had no faith for Lazarus resurrection faith only to die with Jesus and that did not stop God from reaching his goals and I submit to you God is not finished with America yet God is not finished with his church and in spite of our faithlessness in spite of our living in the past Jesus is going to rise up and he’s going to do what his scripture says he will do amen when the righteous and authority the people will rejoice he’s going to give America righteous leaders he’s going to give the church shepherds that will teach them the good word of God amen.

▶ 56:53 That’s what he promised he promised the church that they would have shepherds. That would teach them the knowledge of God’s word. And that’s got to happen. So. In closing as the musicians come and we’re going to take communion and if you’re home you can get a little cup of water or grape juice grape juice is mostly water anyway so don’t God doesn’t panic because you may not have what everybody says you should have and just get a piece of bread and you can take communion with us okay. It’s the power that’s in the communion not the little details of it. Now we’re going to get this down to practical life.

What were we taught about marriage?

▶ Watch this part (57:45)

Short answer: What God has joined together let no one separate; abuse and abandonment harm families.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 57:45 The past. You were taught whom God has joined together let no one separate in marriage you were taught God hates divorce out of Malachi. Okay and so you got married. And you know for the intent of raising families and living forever or your whole life on earth as husband and wife but then. Abuse comes. Physical abuse verbal abuse. Anger one in the marriage just gets angry at anything and the other one’s afraid to even talk or do anything because they don’t want to just erupt the person’s anger. See that which started out good. Has fallen into disrepair.

▶ 58:40 Are you with me. And so you know why submitting to your husband and husband love your wife was Christ loved the church and gave himself for it all those scriptures back here hinder us from dealing with the problem that is present. I’ve seen so many homes. Where one or the other is just abusive they’re just flat out abusive physically they hit them verbally they just attack and their anger just gets out of control and everybody in the home children and everybody’s afraid to make any false move the person going to rise up and curse somebody out and yell and scream and throw things and isn’t that. Right.

▶ 59:34 Or they got an outside lover or they just flat out leave the marriage drugs and alcohol may come in destroying the marriage and money they spend the money on drugs alcohol gambling or whatever they’re not providing things aren’t working and I’ll give you a great illustration of this I could give you many but this one. Covers many. I was in a church and I was a beautiful young black lady from brazil to time. Up in America as a foreign exchange student just a beautiful Christian when she prayed it just moved the church she was filled with the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues she was she was really a jewel of a Christian young lady. Well as time went by I left that church and moved to another location.

What story does he tell?

▶ Watch this part (1:00:31)

Short answer: A young woman called crying: her husband beat her and wouldn’t let her go to church.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:00:31 And years went by. And one day I got a phone call. From this young lady. And she’s crying. And she says brother kinser. I married I met a man in the apartments I lived. In. He went to church with me he answered the altar call he. He did everything. And the pastor agreed to marry us and we got married but from the day we got married. He turned into an angry authority. Man husband if I didn’t do what he said he would get angry he would get violent.

▶ 1:01:26 And he started hitting me and beating me up and he refused to let me to go to church. I talked to my local pastor and the local pastor said for me to submit God will work it out. Live submitting to your husband gotta work it out you just believe God you just believe God God will honor your faith. See that’s the past word. That’s when everything was right. That’s not the word that’s going to work here church. Do you people understand that. I shared with this young lady and I tell you she was she is one of the best Christians I ever met in my life but just because you’re filled with the Holy Ghost doesn’t mean you make right decisions.

▶ 1:02:27 And she didn’t purposely make a bad decision the guy showed phony all these steps that yeah he went to church with her went to the altar answered the altar call did everything to get her and then tried to control her so I shared with her first Corinthians 7:15 if the unbelieving depart let them depart you’re not under bondage and such case if the unbeliever spouse wants to depart let them depart God has called us to what peace the absence of violence the absence of struggle. God has called us to peace. You say but he’s a Christian he’s a Christian well with his mouth he was a Christian.

Who denies God?

▶ Watch this part (1:03:19)

Short answer: They profess to know God but in works deny Him.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:03:19 But Titus 1:16 says they profess to know God but in works they deny him they don’t live for God. Beating your spouse up and yelling and screaming at them and cursing at them and wasting the money on false. Income things like shackley and things like that you know just. Pursuing financial things that isn’t going to work that keeps the families bootstrapped and all of this just they deny him by their works. And the works are abominable detestable before God disobedient to God’s word and disqualified for every good work they’re disqualified. Are you there tim. And when they leave by their actions you are not under bondage to that God has called you to peace.

▶ 1:04:17 He wants you to enjoy your life and have a blessed. Life. But we get hung up on the path we’re going to make this marriage work so the kids suffer everybody suffers and then somewhere down the road it blows up like a volcanic anyway and a lot of people get hurt. You see the past. What worked in the past is not going to work here. Everybody has a choice everybody has a free will to make a choice and if they’re not making a godly choice a choice of righteousness. You have to make another choice for the present time to bring deliverance to the problem can I hear an amen.

▶ 1:05:14 Hallelujah and we’re going to sing oh how he loves you and me. All right. And church he loves you whatever your problem is. You may be the fault of the problem you may be a victim of a problem. But whatever it is he wants to give you a present word to get out of the situation and be set free. And the fear of the past truths or experiences can hinder accepting present truths that set you free God wants to speak into your ear scriptures that you can apply and be set free. From the burden the torment that you’re in today I use the husband and wife the example today to next Sunday we’ll use another example but whatever situation you’re in as we sing this and we take communion.

▶ 1:06:16 You can take it with us at home let’s let God speak a word to us and set us. He free you and me. Oh how he loves you and me. He gave his wife. What more could he give. Oh how he. Oh.

▶ 1:07:26 Oh he loves you and me. He gave his life. One more. Oh. Jesus on the night. That he was betrayed. He took bread and he break it. And he gave to each one of the apostles a piece of that bread.

▶ 1:08:27 And he says this is my body my physical body that was broken for you. I took the beating I took the crown of thorns I took all the pain all the hurt so you don’t have to take the pain in the herd and the punishment. This body is also the church the many member body of Christ the church and we’re to do nothing to hurt the body of Christ we as opportunity arises are to help them in any way we. Can if you have. Offended or hurt a member of the body of Christ just give it to Jesus right now ask him to forgive you. If you have done things in your home to hurt your family your children your spouse just ask Jesus right now to.

What should we do with our past?

▶ Watch this part (1:09:32)

Short answer: Let go; in His blood all sins are forgiven and He writes His word on our hearts.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 1:09:32 Forgive. If you’re weighed down with guilt. About your past. And troubled and in fear of your past. Punishing you today give it to Jesus. He took the pain the blame and the shame that you might live an abundant life for him father we ask you to bless this bread as we partake of it. We thank you Lord for taking all the shame all the blame all the pain and we can live a blessed life for you let’s eat it together. Likewise he took the cup. And he says and this is his words this is the new covenant.

▶ 1:10:30 In my blood. I will write my words on your mind in your heart. All will know me from the least to the greatest you won’t have to have anybody teaching you to know the Lord every one of you will know the Lord and your sins and your iniquities I will remember no more. As you confess them and I will be your supernatural God. And you will be my people that I will do supernatural things to you’re going to be my children of light. In this night of darkness in the earth. The Bible says by stripes we were healed. By the blood.

▶ 1:11:23 All sins are forgiven. So just take your sins now to him take anything you want to heal to him and as we drink this cup just accept his healing into your life today let’s drink together. And all because he loves you and me. He loves you so much your lack of faith is not going to hinder him moving in your life. Your fears of yesterday isn’t going to hinder him from moving in your life today.

▶ 1:12:20 So let go of the past. And let God move in you with his present worth his present power setting you free with his present truth. We’re receiving your power and we thank you Lord that you’re not limited by our faith. Limited by our unbelief. But you will fulfill the promise. That you begin in us. In Jesus name. We thank the Lord.

▶ 1:13:18 And everybody said. Amen. So be it let it be done. I trust today you took your anger to Christ if you’re the angry one in your marriage. I trust today you’re the victim that you get the strength to stand up for yourself. And fight against evil in your home. I trust that you let Jesus come and speak to you a present word that set you free. Hallelujah. You.
