After worship inviting the Spirit, the message teaches from the burning bush that God’s Spirit is always burning, but we must turn aside, look and listen. Samuel, the two on the road to Emmaus, Peter on the water and Simeon all responded, and when we respond His word, power and presence come. It also warns that a law is not right just because government made it.

Why did Moses turn aside?

▶ Watch this part (30:23)

Short answer: The bush was burning but not consumed; Moses turned aside to see. The Spirit is always burning, but you have to go and find it.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 30:23 We love you spirit. Lord we thank you this morning for coming with your presence and your power God we pray Jesus again that you would fill us that it would change us God we want our minds to be transformed Jesus like the scriptures say your spirit transforms us it renews our mind God we want to walk out of here different changed re encouraged built back up Lord whatever it is maybe we need to be torn down God Lord we pray Lord let your spirit do its work in us this morning in your precious name everyone said amen you may find your seats thank you for joining us again this. Morning we want to welcome you we’re going to get into the message we’re going to talk about the burning bush this morning in Exodus chapter 3:2 the angel of the Lord appeared to Moses in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush and he looked and behold the bush was burning with fire but the bush was not.

▶ 31:35 Consumed and so God is asking us this. Morning are we willing to stop and look at least the spirit’s burning the spirit is somewhere are we going to stop what we’re doing and look in John 4:29 the woman at the well after talking to Jesus said come see a man which told me all the things I ever did isn’t this is this not the Christ and God is asking us again this morning are we looking for Christ are we looking for his spirit what are we looking for do we even care is it on our list of priorities are you a Christian today have you accepted Christ if you have what’s next what are we looking for what are we.

▶ 32:28 Doing are we. Searching Moses said I will now turn aside and see this great sight why the bush does not burn and so it’s very important for us to respond in the same way when the spirit of God is moving or or uh when the spirit of God is burning it’s always burning but it’s in a place where you have to go and find it you got to go searching for it and in America we have a lot of priorities and is God on our priority list is the spirit of God on our priority list and when we see that spirit are we willing to like Moses turn aside stop what we’re doing set aside. Time and go and hear what the spirit has to say he wanted to go see the great sight why the bush did not burn he could have passed by he could have ignored it amen so be glad this morning you’ve turned aside you took time out of your day to come to God’s house.

What choice do we have when we come to church?

▶ Watch this part (33:41)

Short answer: Whether to turn our minds aside to God; he grew up in church with teenagers who wondered when it would be over.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 33:41 Amen but uh you want to keep doing the next thing you want to come uh you know I grew up in church I grew up with a lot of teenagers and myself too and we come to church and we’re like thish is it going to be over. So when you come to church you’ve got a choice in your mind are you going to turn aside your mind now now you took time you you got here God is in our midst but are you going to turn aside your mind and focus on him finding searching and meeting with the spirit of God the living God amen there is a difference. When the Lord saw that he turned aside to look he called to him from the midst of the bush and said.

What happens after we turn aside?

▶ Watch this part (34:36)

Short answer: God calls; the steps build: you look, turn aside, come to where the Spirit is, and His voice comes.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 34:36 Moses he called his name so what is happening next Moses looked he turned aside and now what’s happening God is. Calling God is calling him and that is. Important the steps they build on one another you look you turn aside you come to where the spirit of God is and all of a sudden God’s voice comes and that’s powerful it’s important that we respond to that it’s important that you put yourself in a place to hear his voice Samuel in 1st Samuel 3:4 he experienced something very similar the Lord called Samuel and he was just a boy and he answered here I am and he ran to eli who was in charge of him.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Exodus 3:4 (NKJV)

So when the LORD saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.”

How did Samuel respond?

▶ Watch this part (35:29)

Short answer: Here I am; speak, for Your servant hears. He did not yet know the Lord, but his heart was not hard and he received God’s message.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 35:29 And he said here I am for you called me Samuel did not yet know the Lord nor the word nor was the word of the Lord yet revealed in him whatever your state is right now maybe you don’t know the Lord maybe the word of God hasn’t been revealed to you maybe you don’t understand anything about God that’s where Samuel was but God spoke to him him why because Samuel put himself in the temple see when you come to God’s house you’re giving God an opportunity for him to speak to. You but he needed a little instruction and eli gave him instruction and what was the instruction hey the next time you hear that voice this is what you say because eli figured it out and the Lord came and called unto Samuel again sam Samuel Samuel and he responded and said speak for your servant.

▶ 36:33 Hears and so we see this response the response is I’m receiving your word and also I humbly am saying that I’m what your servant and that what I am. Listening and that is also important as well we come into God’s house and we may not want to hear what he has to say to. Us God is speaking we’ve got to have a hearing ear to what he is saying and for everyone he has a message and it can be a simple message like you need to repent you messed up or hey you know you got to work you got to there’s a lot of things the spirit can come and say but if your heart is hard toward God you’re not going to hear those.

▶ 37:32 Things Samuel’s heart was not hard he received God’s message Revelations 2:7 he who has an ear let him hear what the spirit says to the churches we come into God’s house and that’s excellent that’s good that’s what God wants but next you have to have your ear ready to receive open to what God is. Saying and no matter who you are no matter what you’ve done no matter how long you’ve known God or not known God are you willing to turn aside and hear what the spirit is saying to us when I say us it says he’s speaking to who the churches are we in the church yes he’s speaking to us and God Christ says that he is going to build a church that the gates of hell cannot prevail against and he’s going to build a church with people that are.

Why didn’t the two on the road know Jesus?

▶ Watch this part (38:43)

Short answer: Their eyes were restrained; Christ can be speaking to us and we don’t see it.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 38:43 Responding to. Him so it’s very important that we respond we’re going to turn our attention to the two men that traveled on the road to and this is just after Jesus rose from the grave it was the third day as they say as they mention it was the third day since Jesus was crucified in Luke chapter 24:13 the two were traveling to where were they going. Emus and they converse they reason that the resurrected Jesus oh sorry while they conversed while they were talking to one another Jesus Jesus himself drew near and he started walking with them and so they’re talking about Jesus and they’re talking about everything going on and he’s standing walking right.

▶ 39:39 There and it says their eyes were what. Restrained they did not know that it was. Christ and that can happen in your life. Where you do not realize or do not see Christ speaking to you you do not see Christ trying to reveal himself to you why because you got a hardness in your heart in this case it wasn’t hardness they were just Jesus did it for his own reason but sometimes it’s. Us we are stubborn as steven was preaching to the Sanhedrin their eyes weren’t open they resist the Holy Spirit. Amen and when you come to God you can’t do that you have to be willing to receive what he is saying and make and you find that it confirmed in God’s.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Luke 24:13-16 (NKJV)

Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles from Jerusalem. And they talked together of all these things which had happened. So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus Himself drew near and went with them. But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him.

What if Jesus were in our conversation?

▶ Watch this part (40:42)

Short answer: He asked what conversation they were having; wouldn’t we be careful what we talk about if we knew Jesus was in it?

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 40:42 Word he said to them what kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are. Sad man he’s asking what I’m talking about hey hey we’re having a conversation over here. Here you know wouldn’t it change things if we knew Jesus was in our conversation wouldn’t we be careful about what we’re talking about. Amen Luke 24:. 18 they were speaking of Jesus they said he is a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and they’re not giving him the the title of son of God they said he’s a prophet and they say all the people the chief priests and the rulers delivered him to be condemned to death and crucified him and here they’re identifying who they observed crucified Christ and they obser they identify three people who the people so the people the the congregation that were there everybody that was involved there were people there were who the the priests and our rulers the people in charge so that would be the pilot and everybody else just because government.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Luke 24:17 (NKJV)

And He said to them, “What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?”

Is something right because government makes it law?

▶ Watch this part (42:07)

Short answer: No; Christians have a responsibility to stand up and say no. He says California has legalized theft and many forms of sexual immorality carry no penalty.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 42:07 Decides that something becomes a law doesn’t mean that it is right just because government makes a judgment doesn’t mean that it is a right. Judgment it’s important for us as Christians to remember that because as government comes to us and makes all these judgments and all these laws they may not be right and we have a responsibility to stand up and say no that’s not right California has legalized theft in our state did you know. That there is no uh you know they don’t the cops don’t even do anything anymore because they can’t put them in jail or there’s nothing they can.

▶ 43:01 Do they can steal up to a certain amount of money and not have any prison time. Nothing no restitution California’s legalized that you can go and steal right now at. Walmart so everybody’s walking around the store and we’re all under the what is it the honor. System cuz you can walk right out and they’re they’re not going to do. Anything is that right is that right according to God. No it’s just an example sexual immorality in all its forms well I can’t say that in many forms there’s no penalty for sex outside of marriage and all its forms meaning beastiality sex with children sex with the same sex all this stuff.

Did democracy save Jesus?

▶ Watch this part (43:57)

Short answer: No; the majority ruled and put Him to death. They had hoped He would redeem Israel from the Romans, but He came to reign in hearts.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 43:57 Yeah sex with children is not allowed thankfully. Still but a lot of this stuff is legal is it right no just because government or the people decide that something is right does that make it right no that’s what my point is they crucified Christ because they all agreed were they right no did democracy save Jesus no would would a democracy would have saved Jesus would a republic saved Jesus. No the majority ruled and they put him to. Death but we are hoping that it was he who was going to redeem Israel today is the third day since these things have happened so they were hoping that the person that they’re walking with would have redeemed.

▶ 44:51 Israel and uh you got to understand they wanted to they wanted a natural king to come back and reign in Israel and beat the Romans out of their country but Jesus has come to reign and rule in people’s hearts in the Israelites the Jews and now we are living in a time where he is doing it in everyone the Gentiles. Amen so Jesus responds. This is a dog and he’s jumping on the person in bed wake. Up oh foolish ones slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into his glory so they’re really upset that Jesus died but Jesus is saying I had to die so that I could redeem.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Luke 24:21 (NKJV)

But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened.

What happens when God doesn’t do it our way?

▶ Watch this part (45:54)

Short answer: We get stubborn and move on or wait for the next messiah; but Jesus is King of kings.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 45:54 You amen men and see we get stubborn in our hearts we want God to do it the way we want him to do it you didn’t do it the way I wanted you to do it. God and we’re like oh we just throw it off oh well I guess we’ll move on to the next thing or wait for the next messiah no Jesus Christ is the king of kings and the Lord of lords and he will transform your life you must we must submit ourselves to him and beginning at Moses and all the prophets he expounded to them in all the scriptures the things concerning. Himself and I always say I wish I was there for that. Conversation and goodness gracious why did not uh who’s the writer of this book.

What did Jesus explain on the road?

▶ Watch this part (46:47)

Short answer: Beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded the things concerning Himself; and He told them wake up, you are slow of heart.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 46:47 Luke, dude, you heard about this and you didn’t ask Cleopas what did Jesus say. And write down everything that Jesus said. No he started to explain to them beginning at Moses and all the prophets he expounded and explained things concerning who himself so when you read that Old Testament you got to understand a lot of that Old Testament are illustrations of history speaking and foretelling of the coming of Jesus Christ. Esther is a book that is telling of the coming of Jesus Christ Joseph in the Bible is an illustration of Jesus Christ David is an illustration of Jesus Christ it’s all throughout the Old Testament and Jesus is talking to them and he’s saying this is.

▶ 47:48 Me slow of heart and he’s staying what wake. Up. And God is saying to us today wake. Up we get these doubts and we have. These we start not to trust God we get discouraged and he is reminding us this morning I am the king of kings and the Lord of lords things may not be how you want them to be I may not I may not be doing it in the way you want me to do it but I’m still God on the throne I’m still the Lord of all the earth and I’m going to build my church and nothing’s going to stop. It and so when they got to the village where they were going Jesus says oh um this isn’t my stop you know I’m going to keep going and uh this is going back to Moses at the burning bush right he’s got an option here is he just going to let the fire go by and you know go about his merry way uh or Jesus here he’s about to just keep going and what do they do what was their response they what they constrained him they said hey.

Him he wants to know do you want him and these men responded they constrained him and they asked him abide with us their eyes were.

▶ 50:09 Opened when they came back to the place where they stayed they sat at a table they took bread blessed and broke it and he and gave uh Jesus gave it to them and when they received the bread they looked at him and their eyes were what open and they knew him so all this time the speaking talking to him coming into the house cleaning their feet off washing their hands getting ready sitting down and all of a sudden they look and it’s Jesus Christ the king is sitting right in front of their face and it says what they knew him. What is eternal life?

▶ Watch this part (51:01)

Short answer: That you may know God and Jesus Christ whom He sent; abide in Me as the branch abides in the vine.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 51:01 Says that this is eternal life that you may know God and Jesus Christ his son see it’s important for us to come to a place where we know. God if you want eternal life if you want to experience eternal life you can by what knowing. God. And that’s what that’s what the different was these guy Jesus was speaking to them his word was piercing their hearts and they responded and they said come abide in us abide with us don’t go. Anywhere and they made that transition where they knew God they knew Christ they said did our our heart burn within us while he talked with us on the road and he open open the scriptures to us we need to ask God to open up the scriptures to us I encourage you when you go home this week leading into next week and this month and this year coming up put the knowledge of God’s word into your mind and then when you have the knowledge of God’s word as you’re putting it into your mind you say God Jesus Holy Spirit open up your scriptures to me.

▶ 52:25 Ask him. Amen John 15:4 it says abide in me and I in you as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine neither can you unless you abide in me and what I’m saying here is that these men made a transition they made a transition from God revealing his word unto them speaking to them they made a transition into uh bringing God inside of their heart and we have to make that transition asking God to abide in us putting his word in us praying and asking him to come in. Us and that means you know he’s going to start abiding in our hearts he’s going to start pushing out the other.

▶ 53:24 Stuff. And so it’s our response and our responsibility to decide whether or not we’re going to invite him to abide in. Us we have to get a hold of Christ and not let him go if you remember in the scriptures Jacob wrestled with God and he would not let him go unless God blessed him it’s time for us to get a hold of God and not let him go. Until he opens up the word to us until he until we know him until our heart burns within. Us we got to have that kind of spirit with God wrestle with him grab a hold of him don’t let him.

Why did they go back to Jerusalem?

▶ Watch this part (54:20)

Short answer: After meeting Christ they returned to the eleven, and Jesus said tarry in Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 54:20 Go I would read this story about Jacob I’m like wrestling God what are you talking about grab a hold of God constrain him stop him get all don’t let him. Go and until he opens up his word until he does a work in your heart until there is a transition in your life and what happened. You have to remember where were they headed when they started this journey where were they headed emus they were going to emus and they had reached a you know I don’t know if they reached emus they probably reached some place in the middle but it says they rose up that very hour and this is on the what day the third day do you know how many days Jesus stayed while he was resurrected he was on the earth he he he rose and he stayed on the earth for 40 days and then he ascended into heaven and then how many days later what happened 10 days later was Pentecost when the spirit of God came so these men they went back to.

▶ 55:41 Jerusalem they found the. 11 who were with them gathered. Together and they said the Lord is risen as appeared to Simon they told him about these things that had happened happened but they responded after meeting with Christ and returned back to. Jerusalem it’s very possible that they were going back to Emmaus and they were just going to keep continuing on with their lives what they were going to do I got to go go get back to uh uh the goals that I have for my life I got to get back to everything you know God Jesus died he’s crucified oh well that that came and went I’m just going to move on and that’s what people do we move on we move on from God we put him behind us but these men when Christ came when they knew him they went.

▶ 56:47 Back and we’re going to understand why that’s. Important behold in Luke 24:49 I send the promise of my father upon you but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high so here. Jesus is saying go back where to Jerusalem so how many you want to be where the party is at I want to be where the part’s at and these guys were stirred to go back to Jerusalem how many you know that’s a good. Response it’s not over they thought it was over they thought Jesus was over it’s not over go back to Jerusalem we got more going on do you not know that your body is the temple of this Holy Spirit who is in you whom you have from God and you are not your own we must remember that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit God’s spirit has been promised to us and been promised to abide and dwell in.

What does the Spirit do?

▶ Watch this part (57:53)

Short answer: He convicts of sin, righteousness and judgment, guides into truth, and glorifies Jesus while many religions undercut Him.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 57:53 Us John 16 chapter 8 when he has come he will convict the world of sin what does the spirit do the spirit comes and he’ll convict you of your sin he’ll convict you of what right things you need to do now righteousness okay you got the sin behind you okay now it’s time to treat this person right oh you’re used to cursing everybody out oh you’re got to change. That speak kind words speak uh respectfully you know that’s what jes that’s what the Holy Spirit is going to start doing it’s going to change the way you talk change the way you walk and also convict the world of judgment hey that wasn’t a good judgment you made can you imagine if our government leaders were convicted by the Holy Spirit of judgment the judges of America the judges of another country that would be a changed country amen men because they would be good and right judgments John 16:13 the spirit of truth will guide you into all truth as miss woods had expressed earlier the spirit of truth he will guide us into all.

▶ 59:14 Truth God wants to reveal his truth unto you through his spirit and in John 16:14 he will glorify me you’ve got a lot of religions out there that are putting down or trying to undercut Jesus Christ but the Holy Spirit comes and he is what is he doing to Jesus he’s glorifying he’s lifting up Jesus you can’t come into God’s house and get some word oh I’ve got this message Jesus isn’t the one we you got to stop focusing on no no no no no the Holy Spirit is going to in speak and glorify who who Jesus. Christ if anyone thirsts let him come to me Jesus said and drink and he who believes in me out of his heart will flow rivers of living water like we were singing about this morning spring up oh well and give to me that life abundantly.

What did Peter do when Jesus walked on the sea?

▶ Watch this part (1:01:30)

Short answer: He responded: Lord, if it is You, command me to come. He sank, but he was the only one who responded, and Jesus lifted him and calmed the storm.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 1:01:30 Another example looking at the disciples that were in the middle of the sea in Mark chapter 6:47 when evening came the boat was in the middle of the sea and the disciples were in the boat and they were rowing he w Jesus was alone on the land and he saw them. Straining for the wind was against them about the fourth watch of the night he came to to them walking on the sea and would have what passed them by so again here we have a choice and when they saw him walking on the sea they supposed it was a what a ghost and some would say even he was a a Holy. Ghost I’m joking is. Jesus he would have passed them by.

▶ 1:02:26 And so we have another situation where here God is looking for a response and he’s looking for a response from you and from me he’s looking a response from his people are we just going to let God pass us by are we just going to let the Holy Spirit pass us by are we going to invite him to come in our heart to renew us and changes but immediately he talked with them and he said to them be of good cheer do not be afraid it is. I uh what we also want to recognize here is that the disciples were following God’s word and they were having a tough time and many present ministers of uh our era or even our century.

▶ 1:03:25 And men and missionaries have faced obstacles in doing their work for God just because you become a disciple now doesn’t mean all of a sudden everything is easy there are obstacles that you’re going to face it takes some work. Amen but Peter answered Christ and he said Lord if it is you command me to come on the water and so here we go we have a response some somebody is responding to Christ they didn’t just let him pass by amen Peter was like wait a second I’m not going to let just let Jesus pass by and he and Jesus said to Peter come and when Peter came out of the boat he walked on the water to Jesus and those were in the boat I’m sorry and he went to Jesus and we know what happened right he got afraid he fell in the water Jesus saves him.

▶ 1:04:25 He saw the wind and the rain but I mean at least Peter stopped and said wait a second I mean we sit here we criticize Peter but he’s the only. One responding to God to Christ and we’ve got to respond to Christ yeah even if you make a mistake out there on the water God will lift you up amen don’t give up. At least he went out on the water at least he called out to Christ at least he responded and that’s the kind of heart we have to have respond to Christ respond to the spirit of the Lord that is what God is looking for don’t let Jesus pass you by don’t let the spirit of God pass you by he’s speaking to you are we going to reject his word are we going to reject that spirit of God that comes or will we let him come in and do his work in our mind and in our heart.

▶ 1:05:41 Will you say to the spirit of God stay here abide in me stay in my life don’t go anywhere will you grab a hold of God and not let him go and you see when Peter. Responded and made his mistake got in the water got pulled up by Christ walks back to the boat what happens when Jesus gets in the boat he stops the storm and he brings them back to. Land you know that’s a great benefit because the other side is if they just let Jesus pass passed by where would they be in the storm they’d still be in the boat. Straining but because Peter made his mistakes Peter.

▶ 1:06:39 Responded and the disciples responded Jesus came and changed their situation how many know it’s very important for us in any way shape or form to respond to God if you make a mistake you can get up. Amen and those who were in the boat came and they worshiped him saying you are the son of God. Wow not just the prophet you are the son of God they were amazed in them in themselves beyond measure and they. Marveled another man Simeon Luke chapter 2. There was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon and he was waiting for uh the visitation or he was waiting for aid to come to Israel he was.

How did Simeon respond to the Spirit?

▶ Watch this part (1:07:36)

Short answer: He came by the Spirit into the temple, took Jesus in his arms and said my eyes have seen Your salvation.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 1:07:36 Waiting he was just and devout and the Holy Spirit was upon him it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen Jesus. Christ so the Holy Spirit’s talking to him and he came by the spirit into the temple my goodness so a lot of what’s being said here there’s an implication that this man Simeon is responding to the spirit of God right the spirit is upon him the spirit’s revealing things to him and he comes to the temple by the spirit how many know uh there’s a lot of people in the world for him to show up at the same time that Jesus Jesus is there that’s a big. Deal.

▶ 1:08:30 Okay so he’s responding like Moses responded to the the flame that he saw he’s responding to the spirit of God and when the parents brought in. Jesus he took him up in his arms and blessed God and said Lord you are letting your servant depart in peace according to your word my eyes have seen seen your salvation a light to bring Revelation to the Gentiles how did Simeon walk in and know that that baby is g is Christ Jesus that that baby was the redeemer of Israel how did he. Know he just walks up he takes up Jesus in his arms and he says here he is.

▶ 1:09:26 Cuz God had revealed it unto him my eyes have seen just like Moses he what he looked he stopped he turned aside and looked that’s what Simeon is doing here he’s stopping what he’s doing in his day and in his life and he’s saying I’m going to the temple because I’m going to. See Jesus Christ the savior of the world. Amen it’s important for us to. Respond Simeon did exactly what Moses did he. Responded and God is asking us do we have time in our schedule do we have time in our lives do we have time in our goals and our priorities for the spirit of God do we have time for Christ Jesus do we have time for the Lord God.

▶ 1:11:12 Peter stopped Jesus for for walking by and Jesus calmed the storm and brought them to land Jesus revealed the scriptures to the men on the road to Emmaus they returned to Jerusalem and received the Holy Spirit on Pentecost and what I’m saying here is when we respond to the spirit of God his word comes his power comes he reveals himself he does a work in your heart in your spirit it is imperative for us to respond to the spirit of God amen I’d like to invite you this morning we’re going to respond in this song the river and I’m going to invite you to come on up to the front here and we’re just going to lift up our hands and we’re going to sing this song unto.

About this transcript

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added from the speaker’s pauses and then corrected by hand, and obvious caption errors (names, Bible references) were fixed; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor notes: The service opens with a long worship set (lyrics as captioned); the message begins at about 30:23 with Exodus 3:2. Select any time to jump to that moment on YouTube.
