Briefly Debate Truth With Liars 02/10/2019: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
In part three of surviving tragedy, Pastor David G. Kincer shows that Job rightly rejected his friends’ lies but kept arguing until he accused God falsely. Elihu, who listened and spoke by the Spirit, corrected him. State truth briefly, avoid long debates, and remember that rejecting God’s word is sin against God Himself.
What did Jesus say about trouble in the world?
Short answer: In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. Job’s greatest fear was losing communication with God.
▶ 0:00 We are talking about surviving tragedy. Jesus said in the world you’re gonna have troubles you’re gonna have tribulations relax I’ve overcome the world. And most of you know by now that that statement is true a lot of you are going through crises and tragedies right now in the first chapter we found that Job’s biggest fear was not his kids dying his wife turning against him. Losing his source of income. Having to take care of a multitude of employees who got killed. Orphans and widows and he lost his health he had an incurable disease of boils and yet.
Scripture in this part
John 16:33 (NKJV)
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
— John 16:33 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:00What does Job teach about debating?
Short answer: Truth needs to be debated briefly, not in long-winded arguments. There is one Bible, one word, one God.
▶ 0:57 His greatest fear is he would lose communication with God that was his greatest fear in the second chapter we found that Job had to reject. The lies and the false accusations of his friends in this third chapter Job is going to teach us that truth needs to be debated briefly. You don’t need went long-winded debates. Just brief truth is enough. With the liars and those that falsely accused him and we’re gonna learn that he also heeded the wise and impartial voice of truth.
What was Job dealing with?
Short answer: His ten children and 99% of his employees were killed; he faced widows and orphans, a wife wanting him to die, an incurable disease, and loss of communication with God. Shall we accept good from the Lord and not bad?
▶ 1:53 Okay the two things were going to cover. and [unclear] also the Bible there isn’t a spanish Bible a chinese Bible a male Bible a female Bible or whatever there’s one Bible one word one God amen but if you think you got problems. Job’s 10 children and 99% of his employees were killed he lost his source of wealth his contact with God all in one day one day all of this happened a few days later he was inflicted with an incurable disease of boils plus his wife and his friends his peers. Turned against him now folks you think you got problems jobe had some serious problems he was going through a lot of tragedy.
▶ 2:50 Alone he must deal with employees newly widowed and orphaned children he’s got to deal with his wife out of harmony with him wanting him to die he’s got to deal with this incurable disease the loss of his children the loss of his income and loss of communication with God God backed off now God is always with us but God’s not talking. Okay. And he’s ridiculed by others the Bible says he was a song of the drunkards they mocked him and left him all the man that was perfect and upright that shunned evil and and and and loved God oh look what he look at him ha ha they’ve made fun of him and mocked him and jobe had all this to deal with and at the beginning he said the Lord giveth the Lord taketh away blessed be the name of the Lord and all these things jobe did not charge God foolishly nor sin with his lips.
Scripture in this part
Job 2:10 (NKJV)
But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.
— Job 2:10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 3:52What tragedies does he see in America?
Short answer: Over half of Christian marriages ending in divorce, kids leaving the faith, and leaders flattering each other in the State of the Union without addressing immorality or public schools.
▶ 3:53 Shall we not accept good at the hands of the Lord as well as bad so if you want to know how to survive tragedies in America fit over 50% of Christian marriages are ending up in divorce that’s a tragedy the kids without both parents kids leaving the faith of their youth that are brought up by good parents that’s a tragedy parents leaving the faith and getting high on drugs and drinking and partying and everything and not really concerned about the kids that’s a tragedy and we got a lot of tragedies drug abuse and and alcohol abuse and everything is just growing and increasing suicide and every day seventeen veterans commit suicide in America every day every day one in the military commits suicide they’re not a vet they’re still in the military and they’re committing suicide suicide is the highest form of death in young people second highest I mean and then.
▶ 5:04 They give us a state of the union address that just. Flattered each other. Didn’t bring up the immorality in America didn’t bring up that the public schools are destroying the minds of our kids never even brought up the horrible education that’s in America today in public schools are you there everyone wasn’t even mentioned. Hallelujah and then these women come in dress in white like you know. Hells angels does you know they got their colors we’re brotherhood will ya or the bloods or the crips or the em 13s they come in to our congress dressed.
▶ 5:57 Showing they’re united for something that’s stupid we need to be united around something that’s right could that be an amen. Alleluia. Yes I was very disappointed in the state of the union. And let me tell you Trump has done a lot of good he has caused China to back off he has called Iran to back off he has gone into syria with our military and challenged russia right in syria and russia’s not doing anything that’s an executive decision that wasn’t even mentioned in that state of the union our president did that our last president would not stand up to these bullies are you there.
How should we answer friends’ lies?
Short answer: Reply briefly to affirm truth. Job told his friends, you forgers of lies, you are all physicians of no value; oh that you would hold your peace, and it would be your wisdom.
▶ 6:49 Now. We need to listen and heed wise impartial truth and we need to speak not long debates but short truth because we know truth could that be an amen so let’s look at joe. We must reply briefly to friends lies and their false accusations and their opinions to affirm truth you got to answer to confirm who’s right so you got to do your digging on your belief and they got to do their digging on their belief so we can come up with what proof of who’s right so false accusations has to be answered but briefly and I’ll show you why are you with me so far this book of Job is one of the most powerful books for everyday life in the Bible Proverbs is another one if you don’t read Proverbs every day you’re just going to live your life stupidly Proverbs is a good everyday book you should read a chapter at least a day highly recommend it now you see this guy here with a flower that’s a friend coming to you and it all looks rosy and it looks like they really care for you but behind it is a gun they’re out to hurt you and this is what Job’s friends did.
▶ 8:21 You friends Job said you three friends you smear me you slander me with lies. Have you ever been slandered boy I have and I did you are worthless physicians a physician is supposed to cure your ills or at least relieve your pain and comfort you in your misery he said you are worthless you’re not relieving my pain you’re not healing my pain you’re adding to my pain. And these are his friends just think what his enemies are doing. If you would hold your peace it would be your wisdom have you know the Bible says even a fool is wise when he keeps his mouth shut I mean you know we do a lot of talking and not always saying much that’s true we just talk I know when I was a young Christian I repeated things I heard on the radio and ministries and tv ministries but I was reading my Bible and oh my gosh after I read my Bible through for a year I’ve found out that these radio ministries were lying and I had passed on lies to people are you there.
▶ 9:39 We got it no truth folks and the Bible is a book of truth it is not a book of faith it is a book of truth it never says in the Bible that’s a book of faith it says several times it’s a book of truth. Alleluia. Why are they liars because I put this word can in here it wasn’t in the scriptures that they could not prove Job’s transgressions and sin joubert asked him showed me my sin show me what I did wrong that brought all of this tragedy upon me and they had no proof no evidence they just their evidence was because bad things are happened to you you have to be a bad man that was their statement no evidence no proof they just come up with their own proof is that happening in our political realm today oh yeah these politicians are saying things like it’s truth and it’s not truth at all and they have no evidence that it’s truth because they say that it’s truth and it’s not truth.
Scripture in this part
Job 13:4-5 (NKJV)
But you forgers of lies, You are all worthless physicians. Oh, that you would be silent, And it would be your wisdom!
— Job 13:4-5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:21What did Job call his friends?
Short answer: Miserable comforters with long-winded, worthless speeches. How can you comfort me with empty words, like an empty glass instead of medicine?
▶ 10:45 Miserable comforters are you all you’re distressing me you’re adding to my pain all three of you there is no end to your long-winded worthless speeches. Don’t we just love the talk yakety yak. Yakety yak don’t talk back as a song about that. And we keep yakking and we keep yakking and we have no proof if we had proof in evidence we’d only have to say a short statement we didn’t have to keep defending ourselves we didn’t have to keep adding to it either either sheep spider it’s black there’s no you know the sheep’s white or the seats black the sheep spotted white or black it’s not well the sheep is spotted because of the genes and because about you know we go into all of those worthless details that mean nothing.
▶ 11:51 Amen. How can you comfort me with empty words here’s a glass of milk Mr. Barnes and I give him an empty glass. See I’m going to show you truth and when I get through my statements are what empty I did nothing to show your truth. Are you there. Or I can give you a glass of medicine to help cure you and relieve your pain and the glass is empty it’s just got water in it water is only good for nourishment not for medicine for your answers remain full of lies this is what Job he said these short statements to his friends. Okay jobs three fent friends found no answer they had no proof and yet they condemned Job they said Job you are guilty of sin you are guilty and you deserve to be punished with these boils and these kids dying and losing your your wealth and everything you deserve it you are guilty and they could not prove he was guilty of anything.
Scripture in this part
Job 16:2-3 (NKJV)
“I have heard many such things; Miserable comforters are you all! Shall words of wind have an end? Or what provokes you that you answer?
— Job 16:2-3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 10:45Job 21:34 (NKJV)
How then can you comfort me with empty words, Since falsehood remains in your answers?”
— Job 21:34 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 11:51What was Job’s mistake?
Short answer: He kept talking back. It takes two to argue; the long debate caused Job to accuse God falsely and sin with his mouth.
▶ 13:13 Aren’t we like that yeah we look at somebody and we size them up and yeah. So. Long repeated debates with accusing lying’s friends. Here’s where Job made his mistake he just kept talking back I mean no proverb says it takes two to argue if one holds there’s peace the topic is dropped but oh no somebody said something we gotta come back yeah yeah. If somebody just shuts their mouths there won’t be a big debate. Can I hear an amen or a know me or something. So joe from chapter four to chapter 31 he keeps talking and debating and they are long-winded debate his friends talk a lot of worthless word and Job talks a lot of worthless words back.
▶ 14:20 And this long debate caused jobe to lie. Accused God falsely and sin with his mouth when he started out there he did not charge God falsely and he did not sin with his mouth now in verse 2 verse 32 Job is doing exactly what his friends did to him only Job is doing it to God accusing God falsely and lying about God why cuz he got in this dialogue and he picked up the spirit and the nature of his friends. Are you there you run with fools about Proverbs says you become on a fool. So in verse 32 a young man comes up by the name of allah who and hears his three fin friends Job’s peers jokes three friends and allah who was there the whole time.
Scripture in this part
Proverbs 26:20 (NKJV)
Where there is no wood, the fire goes out; And where there is no talebearer, strife ceases.
— Proverbs 26:20 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 13:13Who answered rightly?
Short answer: Elihu, who kept his mouth shut and listened from chapter 4 to 32. Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace. He spoke by the Spirit, an unbiased voice speaking truth.
▶ 15:32 Keeping his mouth shut remember even a fool is wise when he want keeps his mouth shut he set there and listened from chapter four to chapter 32 and here in these guys say nothing of any value to jobs problem. As the Bible got your attention. Alleluia sometimes it’s just good to sit and listen folks if you don’t know what you’re talking about just keep your mouth shut that makes you wise don’t open your mouth and show everybody what exactly what you don’t know. Is that any man. Illa who was young wise the Bible says and understood spiritual things he what understood spiritual things he spoke by God’s spirit wow.
▶ 16:31 He didn’t speak out of his intellect he spoke by the spirit of God. He was not Job’s friend. But a wise unbiased third voice speaking truth not his opinions. When we state opinions we have no proof it’s just what we believe you’ve got to have proof of what you’re saying to back it up and then it becomes truth is that correct amen so illa who says and reveals to all three all three of these guys and to Job. That Job was righteous in his own eyes and justified himself rather than justifying God another way of saying Job was right in his own eyes he.
Scripture in this part
Proverbs 17:28 (NKJV)
Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace; When he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive.
— Proverbs 17:28 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 15:32Job 32:8 (NKJV)
But there is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding.
— Job 32:8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:31How was Job righteous in his own eyes?
Short answer: Job proved he was right in sins that hurt people—no adultery, lying, stealing, neglect of the poor—but he sinned against God by accusing Him falsely.
▶ 17:32 Justified himself about being right he bragged about being right he felt he was right and rather than proving that God was right I. Mean oh it’s better to prove God right then you’ll be on the side of right okay so. In chapter 31 Job gives the definition of sin so we’re gonna find out how Job was right in his own eyes and did not speak rightly of God but just bragged and boasted about his own self being right we go to Job 31 and Job gives us his definition of sin and his definition of right what was Job’s definition of sin and right.
▶ 18:26 Job said I haven’t committed adultery I haven’t lied to anyone I haven’t stolen from anyone I haven’t neglected the poor I haven’t followed the crowd to do evil I have not kept back wages I paid my laborers fair pay I have loved my enemy those that hate me those that talk about me those that mistreat me I have loved them I’ve treated them right the stranger from other nations other skin colors other language I treated right and greed showed me where I boasted about being wealthy and I put my trust in well show me see Job said I did none of these things and he’s talking to his friends show me where I committed adultery show me where I lied show me where I stole I did none of these things I am right I am right.
▶ 19:25 Alleluia. These are proof that he was right in sins that hurt humans. Not proof that he was right in sins that defamed God and shamed God and distorted God are you there. You get the picture see Job was right about these things that he felt was right but what Job didn’t understand is he sinned against God when he started saying God. Lied and God mistreated me Job 33:9 Job said I am clean innocent no sinner evil is found in me but from the aspect of this is a relationship with humans not his relationship with God he had not mistreated humans he didn’t even mistreat his friends he called him worthless physicians but he’s just telling the truth you guys aren’t helping me are you there.
Scripture in this part
Job 31:1-40 (NKJV)
“I have made a covenant with my eyes; Why then should I look upon a young woman? For what is the allotment of God from above, And the inheritance of the Almighty from on high? Is it not destruction for the wicked, And disaster for the workers of iniquity? Does He not see my ways, And count all my steps? “If I have walked with falsehood, Or if my foot has hastened to deceit, Let me be weighed on honest scales, That God may know my integrity. If my step has turned from the way, Or my heart walked after my eyes, Or if any spot adheres to my hands, Then let me sow, and another eat; Yes, let my harvest be rooted out. “If my heart has been enticed by a woman, Or if I have lurked at my neighbor’s door, Then let my wife grind for another, And let others bow down over her. For that would be wickedness; Yes, it would be iniquity deserving of judgment. For that would be a fire that consumes to destruction, And would root out all my increase. “If I have despised the cause of my male or female servant When they complained against me, What then shall I do when God rises up? When He punishes, how shall I answer Him? Did not He who made me in the womb make them? Did not the same One fashion us in the womb? “If I have kept the poor from their desire, Or caused the eyes of the widow to fail, Or eaten my morsel by myself, So that the fatherless could not eat of it (But from my youth I reared him as a father, And from my mother’s womb I guided the widow); If I have seen anyone perish for lack of clothing, Or any poor man without covering; If his heart has not blessed me, And if he was not warmed with the fleece of my sheep; If I have raised my hand against the fatherless, When I saw I had help in the gate; Then let my arm fall from my shoulder, Let my arm be torn from the socket. For destruction from God is a terror to me, And because of His magnificence I cannot endure. “If I have made gold my hope, Or said to fine gold, ‘You are my confidence’; If I have rejoiced because my wealth was great, And because my hand had gained much; If I have observed the sun when it shines, Or the moon moving in brightness, So that my heart has been secretly enticed, And my mouth has kissed my hand; This also would be an iniquity deserving of judgment, For I would have denied God who is above. “If I have rejoiced at the destruction of him who hated me, Or lifted myself up when evil found him (Indeed I have not allowed my mouth to sin By asking for a curse on his soul); If the men of my tent have not said, ‘Who is there that has not been satisfied with his meat?’ (But no sojourner had to lodge in the street, For I have opened my doors to the traveler); If I have covered my transgressions as Adam, By hiding my iniquity in my bosom, Because I feared the great multitude, And dreaded the contempt of families, So that I kept silence And did not go out of the door— Oh, that I had one to hear me! Here is my mark. Oh, that the Almighty would answer me, That my Prosecutor had written a book! Surely I would carry it on my shoulder, And bind it on me like a crown; I would declare to Him the number of my steps; Like a prince I would approach Him. “If my land cries out against me, And its furrows weep together; If I have eaten its fruit without money, Or caused its owners to lose their lives; Then let thistles grow instead of wheat, And weeds instead of barley.” The words of Job are ended.
— Job 31:1-40 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 18:26Job 32:1-2 (NKJV)
So these three men ceased answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes. Then the wrath of Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was aroused against Job; his wrath was aroused because he justified himself rather than God.
— Job 32:1-2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 17:32Why did Job think God was his enemy?
Short answer: He said God counts me for His enemy, not knowing about the court in heaven where Satan accused him and God trusted him to keep his integrity.
▶ 20:40 God finds occasion against me and counts me for his enemy wow. God counts me for his enemy he finds occasion he’s he’s opposing me without a reason the amplified Bible says and it’s in the Hebrew context he is opposing me without just cause. And. He counts me for his enemy Job did not have the understanding that Satan just a little while ago came before God an accused Job before God. Accused Job of serving God because of God blessed his life. Job didn’t know that that meeting took place he didn’t have the spiritual understanding of Elihu here.
▶ 21:37 I. Mean you know we can talk about things maybe we don’t understand. Yes. Job did not know that God. Trusted him to stay faithful keep his integrity and not deny God God Job did not know that that hey God and Satan had a judgment court in heaven and Job was on. The. Criminal see Satan accused Job of serving God because God prospered him. And God says God took Satan on his challenge in the court of heaven and said ok.
▶ 22:35 I’ll prove to you that Job will serve me no matter what Job was totally unaware that there was a court going on up in heaven between Satan and God and Job was on the defense he was the one being accused and God trusted Job so much that he allowed Satan to bring all these tragedies knowing that Job would serve him all the way through and teach the us today that God’s people were serving whether the heck good is happening or bad is happening are you with me. So Elihu it’s in blue here and this.
Scripture in this part
Job 33:10 (NKJV)
Yet He finds occasions against me, He counts me as His enemy;
— Job 33:10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 20:40Job 1:9-11 (NKJV)
So Satan answered the LORD and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”
— Job 1:9-11 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 21:37What did Elihu answer?
Short answer: God is greater than man; He will not do wickedly nor pervert judgment. God needs nothing; it is for your good that you serve Him.
▶ 23:27 Job is not just Job is not right he says he’s righteous in his own eyes but here he is not right he’s accusing God falsely he is lying about God is Elihu right is Elihu right yes. Job is doing the very thing his friends did to him only Job is doing it to God Elihu goes on and say God is greater than man. God gives no account of his matters of his actions of his decisions he don’t come and as humans uh what’s right what should I do right God is right are you there he didn’t ask you permission to what he does. He’s God.
▶ 24:21 He’s in need of nothing the Bible says God needs nothing he’s got everything he don’t need your worship he don’t need your prayer doesn’t need your tithe he doesn’t need anything it’s for your good that you do these things thirty four five Job said I am righteous God took away my judgment judgment the court case the sentence the accusation and the penalty the payment God considers me a liar and inflicts an incurable womb. Here Job says that his physical problem can’t be cured his health can’t be cured and nothing else can be cured this is how low Job has gone. He’s doing exactly what his three friends did to him.
▶ 25:22 But Elihu says in verse 12 God will not do wickedly he’s not going to call a righteous man a liar nor will he pervert judgment and God was right in the heavens of court in the heavenly court God said Satan he will serve me he will keep his integrity no matter what happens and God was right Job did he just messed up on the spiritual side of blaming God when Satan did all this and God wanted to show the world and the kingdom of darkness that his people would serve him no matter what happened to them and do we have it throughout the ages that a lot of Christians even lay down their life get eaten by lions and and died on the rack and burned to death and burned at the stake didn’t they accept death rather than then deny Christ yes see we have the same relationship with God that Job had but Job was given to us as an illustration a truth to teach us you serve God no matter what.
Scripture in this part
Job 33:12 (NKJV)
“Look, in this you are not righteous. I will answer you, For God is greater than man.
— Job 33:12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 23:27Job 34:12 (NKJV)
Surely God will never do wickedly, Nor will the Almighty pervert justice.
— Job 34:12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 25:22Is the baptism of the Holy Ghost for today?
Short answer: Yes. Repent and be baptized and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost; He is poured on all flesh and leads you into all truth.
▶ 26:38 Job said in verse 9 it profits a man nothing to please God Elihu continues to enlighten Job and his friends 35 to Job is said my righteousness is more than God’s wow. That’s just. Iii. But you know there’s a lot of people like that in America. Are we the temple of God yes. In Thessalonians doesn’t it say the son of perdition sits in the house of God as God. See when we start making our own doctrine our own beliefs. Above God’s doctrine and above his belief we are calling ourself God.
▶ 27:35 Hello church. See when people say the baptism of Holy Ghost is not for today when the Bible plainly says repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin and you shall receive the what gift of the Holy Ghost doesn’t it say in acts and also in Joel that the Holy Spirit will be poured out on all flesh all flesh all flesh not some flesh back there at a certain time not some flesh some per year at a certain time but he wants every one of us to be filled with the Holy Spirit didn’t Jesus say go and tarry in Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high what was he talking about the baptism of the Holy Ghost what did Jesus say to his apostles you shall receive power when the Holy Ghost has come upon you and you’ll be witnesses unto me.
▶ 28:34 And all flesh can have what the Holy Ghost it doesn’t mean that all flesh that has the Holy Ghost speaks in tongues of prophesized it’s all flesh can have the power does the Bible say the spirit will lead you into all truth the Holy Ghost the comforter who are we going to get truth if we don’t if we deny the Holy Ghost in our day and the Holy Ghost is what leads us into all truth how are we going to get all truth. Amen. Can you be filled with the Holy Ghost absolutely scripturally you can and the proof of it is you have the power to be a witness for Jesus live for Jesus in this earth be a light to the world of salt to the earth amen and you may speak in tongues and you may prophesy and you may every once in a while pray for somebody and they get healed or whatever but the real power is what jobe had to serve God no matter what happens to me no matter where the crowd goes I’m sticking with Jesus what benefit or profit is it that we turn from our sins well eternal life’s a big one.
Scripture in this part
Acts 2:38 (NKJV)
Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
— Acts 2:38 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 27:35Joel 2:28 (NKJV)
“And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.
— Joel 2:28 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 27:35John 16:13 (NKJV)
However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
— John 16:13 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 28:34What do you give God by doing right?
Short answer: If you are righteous, what do you give Him? Your wickedness hurts people and yourself; live right to protect yourself and others.
▶ 29:46 That is a big one man. Elihu answers I will answer you and your three friends okay doesn’t profit in man to serve God turn from the sins and this come out of jobs mouth because he kept debating if he would have just shut up after he told his friends the truth he wouldn’t have gone into this predicament. The Bible says in the multitudes of words their lack of not what sin a wise man is a man of few words. Hell are they. If you sin what do you do against God if you sin how does that hurt God.
▶ 30:49 Are you there. If you do right what do you give God God’s already right I mean he’s right he’s truth. What are you doing for him he don’t need anything from you you need to live right to protect yourself from harm and you need to treat people right so that you don’t harm others but you’re not gonna hurt God with your sin he’s not up there worried about his plan because uh you’re gonna do right or not he is solid on that throne you understand church he’s not worried about anything. His plan is going to be done and it’s going to be done through his church a glorious church without spot or wrinkle or any such thing that he’s going to present to him on the day he returns amen a bride fully mature he’s coming for.
▶ 31:53 Your wickedness doesn’t benefit but hurts other humans and yourself you take alcohol you’re gonna have to take drugs you’re gonna hurt yourself and you’re gonna hurt people you sexually permissive you’re gonna give VDs you’re gonna break up homes you’re gonna destroy life. Okay you hurt other people you’re not hurting God and you’re hurting yourself. Your righteousness profits other humans God’s already righteous on you hope. He knows all about this stuff is that an amen you know you’re looking for brownie points from God because you start doing good when last year you were a horrible person but today you’ve got a few good things in you think it’s getting brownie but the the the right that you do is for your benefit.
Scripture in this part
Job 35:6-8 (NKJV)
If you sin, what do you accomplish against Him? Or, if your transgressions are multiplied, what do you do to Him? If you are righteous, what do you give Him? Or what does He receive from your hand? Your wickedness affects a man such as you, And your righteousness a son of man.
— Job 35:6-8 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 30:49What happens when you sin against God Himself?
Short answer: If one man sins against another the judge shall judge him, but if a man sins against the Lord, who shall plead for him? Eli’s sons brought sexual immorality into the house of God.
▶ 32:49 Amen. Does joe make sense to you now. First Samuel 2:22 Eli his sons created the house of God brought in their own worship their own way of doing things slept with the women at the gate of the temple gosh brought sexual immorality right into the church is that America oh yeah people are shacking up with people in America going to church and acting like nothing no problem. Homosexuality is going on no problem God loves us all God loves us all he does but your unrighteousness hurt yourself and others. If one man sin against another the judge will judge him is that true did God initiate.
▶ 33:51 Government by law yes did God in the day of Noah stop judging humans and give the judgment over to humans yes he did and people say well God was so powerful what does he allow wickedness in the earth he’s not allowing it you are for your failure to judge and respond to evildoers he’s given us the responsibility to try condemn and punish evildoers to correct them. Amen church does this make sense to you. You see the judge will judge him but if a man sinned against the Lord if a man does something against God’s laws that are directed toward God who shall plead for him who you’re gonna get to go and plead your case to God when I saw the vision of the judgement everybody was standing there and it was going fast I mean you talk about internet being fast cars where everybody that stood before God they immediately knew they were wrong when they did it.
▶ 35:13 They found themself guilty all right they knew they were wrong where they ever heard of Jesus or not they knew they were wrong their conscience told them so who is going to plead on God’s judgment see concerning things of God nobody. Did God say not to eat the blood does not eating blood hurt human beings. No does eating blood hurt human beings no. God said don’t eat the blood because he chose the death through the blood of Christ to pardon our sins and he wanted you to remember that by not eating blood if I eat blood there’s actually nourishment and blood I can live on it it wouldn’t bring nourishment to me if I don’t eat it if I eat it it does nothing to hurt other people.
Scripture in this part
1 Samuel 2:22-25 (NKJV)
Now Eli was very old; and he heard everything his sons did to all Israel, and how they lay with the women who assembled at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. So he said to them, “Why do you do such things? For I hear of your evil dealings from all the people. No, my sons! For it is not a good report that I hear. You make the LORD’s people transgress. If one man sins against another, God will judge him. But if a man sins against the LORD, who will intercede for him?” Nevertheless they did not heed the voice of their father, because the LORD desired to kill them.
— 1 Samuel 2:22-25 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 32:49Why is rejecting God’s statements a sin?
Short answer: Denying the virgin birth, the resurrection or worshiping idols hurts no one directly but calls God a liar; it is sin against God.
▶ 36:16 But I am defaming God I’m saying I don’t care what you say God I’m gonna drink all the blood I want are you there. Okay let’s take belief. In the first part of Genesis when they ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil instead of the tree of life did God prophesy Jesus to come and destroy Satan under his feet didn’t he write in jet right at the beginning it’s all right I’m going to bring my son and he’s going to destroy Satan under his feet if you don’t believe that you don’t hurt other people. You’re. Accusing God you’re saying you’re better than God you’re higher than God and rejecting that is strictly between you and God the Bible says that Jesus would be born of a virgin when you reject that you are rejecting God’s.
▶ 37:18 Statements God’s truth you saying Jesus not born of a virgin hurts nobody directly hurts nobody you steal you hurt people you kill you hurt people but if you don’t believe in the virgin birth you’re not hurting anyone you are doing harm to God because God said he was going to be born of a virgin are you there and he was going to heal the sick raise the dead do miracles and he did and he’s going to preach the gospel of the kingdom which he did and he’s gonna lay down his life cuz nobody had the power to take it which he did and he’s going to take his life up again because he has the power to let that fleshly body die and he has the power to take that fleshly body back out of the grave because he is a supernatural God and we’re to believe that and if you don’t believe that that hurts nobody directly you just defamed God you said God is a liar and sin.
▶ 38:22 Against God who’s going to plead for you on that day of judgment nobody can you directly rejected God are you there this makes sense to you he said he would have sinned into heaven and he would come back again if you don’t believe he ascended into heaven like the [unclear] and they don’t believe he died he ascended into heaven and all that you’re rejecting God it doesn’t hurt anybody but he you have defamed and rejected God told you to believe this stuff and you don’t. And he’s coming back again I don’t care what your theory is on the second coming one thing for sure he’s coming back whether it’s post tribulation mid-tribulation pre millennium post millennium pre-wrath post rests good Lord there’s all kinds of second coming theories it doesn’t matter which one you believe in the fact is he’s coming and you better be ready ever how he decides to do it you better be read amen that’s right.
▶ 39:39 That’s the belief he. Said don’t worship idols or make idols does that hurt anyone if I have an idol in my home no it doesn’t hurt anybody directly. But I’m calling God a liar. You see it’s against God it hurts God it is saying God you’re accusing God of being wrong and you’re sitting in the temple of God saying you are God that makes you a son of perdition a son of destruction because you’re doing something directly against God that brings spiritual destruction he says to pay tithes and Jesus said to pay tithe do the weight of your matter of the law and don’t leave the tithe and unties are there so that there’s food in God’s storehouse it says in Malachi the food is the word of God the drink is the spirit of God and so you know preachers have to be paid they got families to raise and so the tithe is to pay so though and the main thing is to get the word out amen and any church not getting the word out is going to die.
▶ 40:47 It’s not just to make preachers rich it is to get the word out and we have to pray the pay the preachers because they got families they got needs but the main thing is to get the word out to people and anything above the thais is an offering that’s your choice you don’t have to do it at all are you with me. Pray. Does it hurt anybody if I pray no. Does it hurt anybody if I don’t pray no God asked me to pray God asked me to talk to him prayer is talking to God and some people think the only way to talk to God is silently I dare you to go Mr. Barnes and try to tell him something with your mouth shut he’s gonna look at you like oh ho.
How should we pray?
Short answer: Jesus said when you pray, say: talk to God. Job’s greatest fear was losing that conversation with God.
▶ 41:41 We have been told and taught some ridiculous thing when you pray say you know what Jesus said repeat it with me when you pray say talk to God what did was Job’s greatest fear that he would lose that conversation connection with God that was his greatest fear not losing his children and his harmony and his marriage and his income and all the rest he did not want God stepping back and not talking to him in that what we found in chapter 1 hallelujah is that your greatest fear. Losing that relationship with God it should be that should be. Worship and praise he says and lift your hands to dance to stand to kneel to bow to seeing to shout to play instruments and all that that is what the world should see when the church does their act of worship the muslims had the their carpet out and they do their thing the hindus they do their thing the buddhists do their thing but the church praises and worships and adores Jesus Christ and they raised their hands they raised their voice they sing unto him they shot unto him they danced I love these kids dancing before the Lord amen I was powerful.
▶ 43:17 Hello church God told us exactly how to praise and worship him and we start making our own doctrines up. We come up with our own doctrines I. Don’t feel like it you don’t go to work because you don’t feel like it you’re gonna start are you with me see a lot of our decisions doesn’t make sense. The word he said read and study the word of workman rightly dividing the word of truth was that just two apostles was that just two prophets or was that to the whole church read and study the word that you can rightly divide the word of truth do we read it do we study it no in America only 15% of the people read it and very small percent actually study it.
▶ 44:19 They’ll study for a college exam they’ll put in enough cram but studying for the word to try to get wisdom and knowledge we just don’t do it and we come to church empty we’re waiting for the mighty men of God or woman of God or mighty singer or the mighty musician to bring us into the presence when we should bring the presence with us while I was good can you say amen to that. Alleluia David said I will not offer into the Lord any sacrifice it doesn’t cost me something see it’s costing you your humility your shame your embarrassment your outward man being destroyed when you come in and worship in and lift your voice and pray unto him amen is his house to be called a house of prayer of all nations are just select people all nations what are we waiting for why don’t we bust through that door with prayer on our mouth with praise on our lips why because in the American church world we have been programmed to be dead Christians.
Scripture in this part
Luke 11:2 (NKJV)
So He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
— Luke 11:2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 41:41Why should every member study the word?
Short answer: So all can come to the unity of the faith and know whether a preacher tells the truth; every joint supplies, and those planted in the house of the Lord flourish.
▶ 45:28 Waiting for the megachurch ministry to show the way. All of us can know the way doesn’t he say that we can come into the unity of the faith how you going to do that if you don’t read the word yourself and study the word yourself how do you going to know that that preacher is telling you the truth see I read and studied the word when I first got saved and I told you in a year I realized these radio ministries were lying to me I. Started out believing no one would lie in the church they were all for me but they were they were and I had passed on their lies to people. Early lujah. America church has been taught to be lazy let the minister do all the work do the salvation do the teaching and I don’t have to do anything and that’s why we are empty.
▶ 46:33 Does the Bible say every joint supplies every member supplies everybody has something to say why because they’ve been in the word they can rightly divide the word of truth they can share truth with people that come into the church they don’t have to bring the pastor down tell the truth God he’s going through a tragedy would you help him out no you can help him out. Amen. Assemble together. Even the more so as you see the day approaching and Christian believe that Jesus is coming in a minute I don’t see him assembling them together in more so only 25 percent of Christians go to church if they really believe that Jesus is coming in a minute according to the scriptures in Hebrew. They would be assembling even the more so because they believe the day’s approaching.
▶ 47:27 Are you there. Does it say they they’d be planted in the house of the Lord will grow and flourish in their God and be bring forth a bundle for does it say that is assembling important for my growth but we’re supposed to come and stir up people to love one another don’t do harm to one another and do good works do right live like jobe live amen. The pastor can’t do it all Psalm 55:12 it wasn’t an enemy or he that hated me criticizing me accusing me blaming me then I could have borne it I could have handled it or I could have hid from him. But it was you a man my equal my peer.
▶ 48:23 My advisor my friend we took sweet counsel together went to God’s house in company. All right little clique. Went to God’s house and we criticize the other clique I. Mean you know even in the church world we start connecting with people that you know identify with us if we’re married just married or something we like to run with the just marriage if we start having kids then we’d like to get with people that are married and have kids and if we’re old folks we want to hang around the gray-head at old people having you know that’s not Bible. God is not partial and we shouldn’t be partial that a good amen but don’t we do that absolutely and where do we get hurt where do we try to where do people try to lead us astray right in the house of God speaking what they know nothing about.
▶ 49:32 Instead of focusing on doing right hem you know that’s acceptable anyway you see and that blesses people and that blesses you if we focus on doing right. And. Speak and provoke one another to love and to good works love does no harm to his neighbor what a difference the American church would be are you there now I’ve preached all over the world not tell you in third-world countries they’re hungry for God and they lap up messages like this and get moving just like that but in America we’re so brainwashed by every wind of doctrine out there huh if he tells the truth we’re supposed to lift our hands oh. Are you there.
▶ 50:27 And you know in spite of it when I preach in other churches in America his presence is there drawing people to himself including the Catholic church I’ve told you before a priests in every denomination in America except the cults and even in the Catholic church I’ve found people that love Jesus and lived right if you want to take jobs advice and listen to wise unbiased. Voices and you want to learn from Job and keep your debates brief. Don’t get entangled in a lot of worthless empty worded discussions and if you want God to bring you through the tragedy you are in will you stand with me and let’s sing as a prayer.
