In this second lesson on the beasts of Revelation 13, Pastor David G. Kincer says those written in the Book of Life will not worship the beast, and that the saints are still here, not raptured out. He explains the second beast’s false wonders and speaking idol, questions three-and-a-half-year charts and date-setting, offers his own explanation of 666, and teaches that sorcerers and false signs have only limited power.

Who does not worship the beast? (Revelation 13:8, 14:12)

▶ Watch this part (0:01)

Short answer: He says “all worship the beast and Satan, except some people,” “those in the Book of Life,” the ones “that got born again.” He says they “didn’t join a church” or get a baptismal certificate; they “were touched by God.” He says churches “just put people on the roll book,” Jesus said “you got to be born again of the word and the Spirit,” and the saints’ faith is “in Jesus Christ, not in a church, not in a person, not in a minister.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 0:01 All worship the beast and Satan, except some people. And who are these people? [unclear]. Guess what that is? It’s not bacon and lettuce. Those in the Book of Life. Those in the Book of Life won’t worship the natural people who are expressing the kingdom of darkness, and they won’t worship the king of the kingdom of darkness. They won’t do it. Can I hear an amen? Amen. See, all the earth worships, but the ones written in the Book of Life, the ones that got born again, the ones that really got the real deal when they came to Christ, they didn’t join a church, they didn’t get a baptismal certificate and, and go through a ritual. They were touched by God, they responded to God, they got birthed by God, and they follow him.

▶ 1:08 Amen. Churches just put people on the roll book, they just want attendance. You come, okay, we’ll put you on the roll book. He’s saved? How? No. Jesus said you got to be born again of the word and the Spirit. Of what? The word and the Spirit. And how are they going to get birthed in the word if we don’t preach the word? Are you with me? Hallelujah. And it says, “This is the patience and the faith of the saints.” Why? They’re going to stick with Jesus no matter what. These people are patient, they know God is going to fulfill his will. These people have their faith in Jesus Christ, not in a church, not in a person, not in a minister. Their faith is in Jesus Christ, and they are patiently waiting for Jesus to fulfill his word in them and in the world.

Are the saints raptured out, or kept through difficulty?

▶ Watch this part (2:07)

Short answer: Asked whether these saints are raptured, he says “No, they’re still here.” He says “Jesus is big enough to keep us in any kind of difficulty of this world” and “we don’t have to get raptured out.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 2:07 Hallelujah. Powerful, isn’t it? And where are they at? Are they raptured? No, they’re still here. I’ve showed you last week and the week before, they’re still here. These people are still here. Let me know, Jesus is big enough to keep us in any kind of difficulty of this world. We don’t have to get raptured out. We’re not that weak. Some of us are weak, we want to be raptured out.

What does he say is the difference between a believer and a Christian? (Revelation 13:11)

▶ Watch this part (2:51)

Short answer: He says the second beast “has all the power of the first beast,” including “the ability to speak,” and compares that to two recent national leaders he says “claimed to be Christians, and they lied to us.” He says “Christian means I came from Christ, I follow Christ, I act like Christ,” that “believer’s a stage,” and “just move on down the line” to maturity: “stick with the King.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 2:51 Now, a second beast comes up, and the second beast has all the power of the first beast. So he’s got the ability to speak. That’s what the first beast had, the power to speak. Obama has great speaking abilities. Bush had great speaking abilities. I use them both because one was a Republican, one was a Democrat, both of them claimed to be Christians, and they lied to us. What does the word Christian mean? Yes. [unclear] means from or like, you know, a, a mannerism. Ephesians means what? You come from Ephesus. Yes. Christian means I came from Christ, I follow Christ, I act like Christ. See, there’s a big difference between a believer and a Christian. And believer’s a stage, don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong, we got to go through the stages, am I right? Yeah. We got to believe, you know, we got to follow and all that. There’s nothing wrong if you’re a believer today, it’s fine, just move on down the line.

▶ 4:05 This is an assembly line. We got to move on down the assembly line, and the, the great master assembly man puts us together. Amen. Just stick with the assembly line, man. Like it said in the prophecy today, stick with the King. He does want you to be perfect. Perfect is maturity, and the key is to stick with the King, like it said in the prophecy today. Just hang in there, don’t disqualify yourself because you got some faults. Just stick with the assembly line, the master craftsman will get the parts and get everything in you as you do. Now that was good. Amen. Remember, the saints are patient, and their trust is in Jesus to do what he said.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Revelation 13:11 (NKJV)

Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.

— Revelation 13:11 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 2:52

What makes the second beast different from the first? (Revelation 13:12–15)

▶ Watch this part (4:52)

Short answer: He says the second beast causes people to keep worshiping the first beast, and that “he deceives by great wonders,” “brings down fire from heaven,” and has an idol made of the first beast. He says “he gives life to that idol” and “causes that idol to speak,” and notes the Bible says “an idol is nothing” and those who follow idols “become just like them.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 4:52 So this guy has all the power of the first beast to speak, but he causes, and he causes people to worship the first beast. Well, the first, the people are already worshiping the first beast, and this guy pops up and says, continue worshiping the first beast. And the people who worshiped the first beast also worshiped what? Satan. So he says, continue on as you are. So what makes the second beast different from the first beast? Well, he deceives by great wonders. He brings down fire from heaven. He has an idol made of the first beast. He gives life to that idol. He causes that idol to speak. Now that’ll get your attention.

▶ 5:38 Pretend this is an image of Mary or Buddha or whatever you want it to be. The Bible says an idol is nothing. It has eyes but it can’t see, it has ears it can’t hear. It says it’s powerless, and that’s the fact. People who follow them, the Bible says, become just like them. They can’t see, they can’t hear. Okay, but this guy makes this beast come to life, this, this idol. Now I’m sorry, the idol is living, and not only living, this idol now speaks. Now, how, you know, that would get your attention. I’m surprised that they haven’t come up with the theory of building an idol over in Palestine yet, not just a temple. You guys missed that.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Revelation 13:12-15 (NKJV)

And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

— Revelation 13:12-15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:21
Scripture (NKJV)

Psalm 115:4-8 (NKJV)

Their idols are silver and gold, The work of men’s hands. They have mouths, but they do not speak; Eyes they have, but they do not see; They have ears, but they do not hear; Noses they have, but they do not smell; They have hands, but they do not handle; Feet they have, but they do not walk; Nor do they mutter through their throat. Those who make them are like them; So is everyone who trusts in them.

Scripture (NKJV)

1 Corinthians 8:4 (NKJV)

Therefore concerning the eating of things offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one.

— 1 Corinthians 8:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:46 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

Does he say prophecy needs a rebuilt temple? (Acts 17:24)

▶ Watch this part (6:33)

Short answer: He says people expect an idol and temple in Palestine, and tells of Christians who tried to burn down the “temple of Omar” and a Jewish sect that “already has a temple in boxes.” He says “the focus is on what? A natural temple,” that God does not dwell in temples made with hands, and that “God doesn’t need our help making things come to pass.” His accounts have not been verified here.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 6:33 We always try to make our theories work. You know, there was some Christians who tried to burn down the temple of Omar, that Muslim temple, so that the temple they wanted to be built could be built there. Don’t you... you didn’t know that? You guys are illiterate. Do you know that a church, a certain Jewish sect, I [unclear] which one it is, it already has a temple in boxes, and they’re ready to put it up as quick as they can destroy the Muslim temple? You didn’t know that either. You see, the focus is on what? A natural temple. And God says, what? I don’t dwell in temples made with hands. And see, they’re trying to make things come to pass. How many, you know, God doesn’t need our help making things come to pass. He’s perfectly capable of doing it, and just involve us. Hallelujah. So that’s why I’m wondering, you know, when are they going to build an idol over there and expect some antichrist to come along and make it talk?

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Acts 17:24 (NKJV)

God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.

— Acts 17:24 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:15

Has an idol ever come to life? (Revelation 13:14–15)

▶ Watch this part (7:41)

Short answer: He says “nowhere in history do we find an idol talking and an idol coming to life,” and that this beast “gets the attention through supernatural power,” unlike the first beast’s “verbal attacks.” He says the Bible gives no time limit for this second beast.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 7:41 Now, all through history this has never happened. Nowhere in history do we find an idol talking and an idol coming to life. Believe me, it would be in the record books, that would make Josephus, and, man, they’d have it in there. Am I right? And the Bible says an idol is nothing. But he gets the attention through supernatural power. This guy has supernatural power. This group has what? Supernatural power. The other people just had what? Blasphemy, words they spoke. Well, they, they just use verbal attacks. What are they doing in America right now? The verbal. But this one has supernatural power. Wow. And not only can he speak, he can do something, and there’s no time given here. We got a problem.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Revelation 13:14-15 (NKJV)

And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

— Revelation 13:14-15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:43

Why does he say the three-and-a-half-year charts are a problem?

▶ Watch this part (8:34)

Short answer: He says the second beast rises after the first beast’s three and a half years with the same power, so “we really got a problem here” fitting three and a half years into “our little charts.” He says “stick with the Bible,” that “everyone that has predicted this stuff has failed so far,” and tells of the Y2K scare, saying “nothing happened.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 8:34 It doesn’t say this beast is around for three and a half years. After the three and a half years period is over, here we got another beast rising with the same power, the first beast who lasted for three and a half years. We really got a problem here. Do you see the problem, trying to make three and a half years work into our little charts? Hallelujah. Church, don’t get wrapped up in that nonsense. Stick with the Bible. Everyone that has predicted this stuff has failed so far, and it’s been going on for almost 2,000 years. Every millennium, everybody thought the second coming was here, and the last one they thought the second coming was here. My church asked me to teach on the Y2K problem and the end time. You know, we’re supposed to, everything was supposed to shut down and cars crash because lights don’t work anymore, and we get flooded because the gates of the dams don’t work anymore, and all the, man, and Christians went out and bought into that, and they bought storage food and light, uh, uh, flashlights and all this stuff, and I go, “Folks, it ain’t going to happen.”

▶ 9:53 I had two things going for me: I knew the scriptures, and I used to work in the computers. I know a computer does nothing. Nothing comes out except what you put into it. And so my scientific knowledge with my Bible knowledge just confirmed that nothing’s going to happen, and guess what? Nothing happened. Now, in third world countries when I went preaching, and I told them Jesus wasn’t coming in the year 2000, and wasn’t going to come for 13 or more years after the year 2000, they got mad at me. See, we want him to come so desperately, we want him to fit into our agenda. Let, let me give you a theory. You ready for a theory? A Kincer wild imagination theory. I mean, everybody else is throwing them out. Three and a half years.

Does he say it could be 1,000 years before Jesus returns? (2 Peter 3:8)

▶ Watch this part (10:52)

Short answer: He offers what he calls a “wild imagination theory”: “suppose that 1,000 years from now the world is still going on and Jesus hasn’t come,” since “a thousand years is as a day.” He says “the Bible plainly says nobody” knows when, and asks, “are we going to quit fantasizing and start living in the present generation.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 10:52 Suppose that 1,000 years from now the world is still going on and Jesus hasn’t come. Have you got that? A thousand years is as a day, and a day is as a thousand years. Now what are the theory people going to be preaching 1,000 years from now? These three and a half years is a thousand years, is a day, we’re at the 3,000th year, just 50 more years and it’s going to happen. And the Bible plainly says nobody what? Knows when. Are we going to quit fantasizing and start living in the present generation and be who we are supposed to be and identify what’s going on in our time? Amen. Now that was a good preaching.

What does he say the number 666 means? (Revelation 13:16–18)

▶ Watch this part (12:00)

Short answer: He gives “another great theory of mine”: the first six is not believing God created the earth in six days, the second is not worshiping on the seventh day (“they don’t go to church”), and the third is people who “don’t want to work six days.” He says it is “as good as theirs,” that “we have been failing with the 666 for 2,000 years,” and that the book “doesn’t tell us.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 12:00 Those that didn’t worship the idol are killed. You can’t buy or sell without the mark, 666. You want to hear another great theory of mine? Mine’s as good as theirs. They can’t back their... I, I at least gave you some scriptures. 666, you ready for this? Okay, the people that follow Satan, the people that blasphemed God, they do not believe that God created the earth in six days. First six. They will not worship God on the seventh day, God rested. They don’t go to church, they don’t believe in God. Second six.

▶ 12:46 And you’re wondering what the third six is? Six days shall you work, and if you don’t work you neither should eat. All this welfare stuff, all this health program stuff, all these goodies. You see, a lot of people don’t want to work six days. See, that’s... are you there? Hey, they like to draw welfare. That’s the third six. It’s the number of who? Amen. And it’s humans that think this way. My theory of 666 is just as good as theirs. I got scripture to back mine up. They have to say it’s Hitler because his name spells out 666, adds up to 666. You know, they get their little alphabet calculator going, and Hitler, 666. Listen, the Catholic Church summed up Luther at 666. Did you know that? Yeah. See, we’re ignorant of this stuff. This is not new. We have been failing with the 666 for 2,000 years. We haven’t figured it out, and I submit to you, it doesn’t tell us.

When did the last days begin, and can we know when Jesus returns?

▶ Watch this part (13:59)

Short answer: He says “we’re not allowed to add to the word,” and that “shortly” in Revelation 1 and 22:6 was true “since Christ ascended.” He says the last days began at Pentecost, so “we have been living in the last days for 2,000 years” and may be for “another thousand,” and that people said Christ was coming in 1960 and later years. He says we can know “what’s happening in our generation,” like the virgins who were “awake and ready.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 13:59 He says, “He who has wisdom.” I tell you, I don’t have it. I can’t, all the wisdom I got from the scriptures, and I can’t find it revealed anywhere. Have you? And we’re not allowed to add to the word, so we can’t make up our own definition of this thing. Hallelujah. And remember, Revelation 1 and Revelation 22:6, the beginning of the book and the end of the book, it says what? These things will happen. Say it: shortly. Now, when I told you they were happening since Christ ascended, was that shortly? Yes, it was then, and it is what? Now. “In the last days I’ll pour out my Spirit on all flesh.” When did the last days start? Day of Pentecost, when he poured out his Spirit on all flesh. We have been living in the last days for 2,000 years. What if we’re going to be living for another thousand?

▶ 14:59 Oh my God, you’re kidding. I, I ain’t saying it’s going to happen, but folks, they didn’t think we would be here in 1960. They said he was coming in 1960, 1962, I lived through this mess, 1964, 1968, 1982, you know. And our generations might be here another thousand years from now, and he’s still not come, because no one what? Knows. But we do know what’s happening in our generation, because the virgins with the lights, the, you know, they had lamps, they had light in them, that, you know, and there was one virgin, with of the virgins, that what? Didn’t even go to sleep. They were awake and ready and knowing what was happening, and that’s what he’s talking about in Revelation, overcomers being that virgin.

But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

How does Satan disguise himself as an angel of light? (2 Corinthians 11:14–15)

▶ Watch this part (16:00)

Short answer: He says “Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light,” and that those who follow him “come at you like their ideal is good.” He gives atheists, humanists and freethinkers as people “disguised as angels of righteousness” who say “they’re lying to you, they’re deceiving you, we got the truth.” He ends the virgins illustration with “I’m awake, I know what’s happening.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 16:00 Not the one that ran out of oil, not the ones that had oil, been the ones that said, “Come on, man, I’m awake, I know what’s happening.” Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. “Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness.” Scripture, right? Supernatural. We’re going to show you supernatural. This beast works supernaturally, got it? Satan, you know, they don’t come at you as, as evil, they come at you like their ideal is good. Don’t atheists believe they are right? Don’t they tell everybody like they really know what’s right? And the humanist, the freethinker, yeah. See, they’re disguised as angels of righteousness, of right. They’re not going to come out and say, “I’m lying to you, man.” No. They’re going to be saying that church, man, they’re lying to you, they’re deceiving you, we got the truth.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

2 Corinthians 11:14-15 (NKJV)

And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

Should we follow signs and wonders? (Deuteronomy 13:1–3)

▶ Watch this part (17:02)

Short answer: He reads that if a prophet gives “a sign, a wonder” and says “let’s go after and serve other gods,” “you shall not listen to them.” He says he went to a revival in Lakeland, Florida, and “it was the biggest gimmick I ever seen in my life” because “they were focusing on miracles that weren’t happening.” This is his opinion and has not been verified here.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 17:02 Okay. Now, “If there arise among you a prophet that gives you a sign, a wonder,” an amazing thing, a supernatural act, “and then they say, let’s go after and serve other gods, you shall not listen to them.” Now, why were people running down to Lakeland, Florida, for this revival thing that was supposed to happen, and the pastors here in [unclear] were seeking God for the same visitation that was in Lakeland, Florida? I went down there, and it was the biggest gimmick I ever seen in my life. And what was the gimmick? They were focusing on miracles that weren’t happening. Nothing was happening, and they were saying it happened, much less if they can make one or two happen. Are you out there, church?

What power did the sorcerers of Egypt really have? (Exodus 7–8)

▶ Watch this part (17:55)

Short answer: He says the sorcerers “never had any power till Moses showed up,” and then God gave them “limited authority, limited supernatural power.” They could copy a sign but not undo it, because “they can’t do any more than God lets them do,” and “the sorcerers could not create life.”

▶ 17:55 “The sorcerers of Egypt also did like manner with their enchantments, but could not make lice,” saying, “This is the finger of God.” You see, the sorcerers of Egypt never had any power till Moses showed up. They weren’t down there turning water to blood, they weren’t down there turning their rod to a snake, they weren’t down there bringing frogs out of the river. When Moses showed up, God gave them limited authority, limited supernatural power. And so when Pharaoh said, “Okay, magicians, sorcerers, you change your rod into a snake,” well, they didn’t need any more snakes, they needed to change Moses’s snake back to a rod. So they threw down their rod and it turned to a snake, and guess what? Moses ate them all. They didn’t have any rod to turn back. Are you there? See, they had limited supernatural power. When Moses poured the water out and it became blood, Pharaoh said, “Okay, you sorcerers, do that.” So they poured water out, became blood. They didn’t need any more blood, they needed the water, the blood changed back to water.

▶ 19:08 See, God gave them limited supernatural power. What they really needed was to overpower Moses and turn the blood back to water. This is what you got to remember. And then Moses brought up frogs, and Pharaoh said, “Okay, sorcerers, bring up...” Well, they don’t want any more frogs. Frogs! So the sorcerers put out their staff, and here comes more frogs. The thing, they didn’t need more frogs, they needed the other frogs removed, but they couldn’t do it. Why? They can’t do any more than God lets them do. And God says, “Okay, you want more frogs? Okay, we’ll give you more frogs. You think there’s power in your sorcery? Go ahead.” But when they came to the [unclear], where they created something out of nothing, God says, “This is as far as you go,” and the sorcerers could not create life.

Can supernatural ability be false? (Acts 16:16)

▶ Watch this part (20:08)

Short answer: He says the idol that comes to life “has got to be a ventriloquist somewhere,” and that the sorcerers had “supernatural power to deceive people.” Citing Acts 16:16, he says the girl with a spirit of divination “had limited supernatural ability,” and that he knew a person at a revival who told people their addresses “had a familiar spirit.” He asks whether people “just fall for every little prophetic word of knowledge.” This is his account and has not been verified here.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 20:08 And that’s why this idol that comes to life has got to be a ventriloquist somewhere, just throwing things out. Hallelujah. Isn’t this wonderful? Isn’t this book great? And the sorcerers, they got the boils, they got the hell, they got everything rained down upon them, they couldn’t stop it. Why? They have limited power, but they did have supernatural power to deceive people. Okay, Acts 16:16: “A girl possessed with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much profit by fortune telling.” You see, she had limited supernatural ability. And I was in a church meeting in Alabama, not a church meeting, but a revival meeting, where somebody came in, and they had a, someone there that’s supposed, supposed to be able to see, have this word of knowledge and all that, and they were telling people their addresses and so forth, and I quickly, I quickly, because I’d been in the book, I’d been a prayer, I’d been a seeker, I quickly knew that person had a familiar spirit.

▶ 21:18 Limited knowledge, and the knowledge did them no good. So they know where I live, so what? You can find where I live in the phone book. What I need is I need a source of power to live in this life for Christ and do what’s right. I don’t need you telling me my phone book, and whether I got a pack of cigarettes in my back pocket or not, or, you know, this limited, not, that doesn’t do me any good. That fools the idiots, but it doesn’t fool those that are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Hallelujah. And I dared that one. I was sitting there daring her to come to me. I kept my eye right on her. She was a black preacher man. I just kept my eye right on her. I dare you to come over to me, and she knew better than come over to me. She knew I was different. She knew she’d have been in big trouble.

▶ 22:15 Do they know they’ll be in big trouble if they come to you, or you just fall for every little prophetic word of knowledge that comes by? You know, when a prophet has got to say, “I see...” And, and, uh, “cars, I see rivers.” Don’t give me that. “I see cars and river” stuff. Tell me exactly what you see. Am I going to die in a car accident, or am I going to get a new car? Just let it, you know, give with a program. Amen. Yes. And, uh, don’t ask me if Rebecca’s my wife. Tell me she’s my wife, then I’ll know you’re a prophet. Are you out there, church? And us Spirit-filled people have got to get the program, they got to get with the program. We’re one of the worst for this nonsense, and it’s no wonder people have gotten a bad name by being filled with the Holy Ghost, because us Spirit-filled people have made some stupid things out of it that just turn people off. But the word stands sure, it’s still good. Amen.

Who was Simon the sorcerer, and what is the end goal? (Acts 8:9)

▶ Watch this part (23:35)

Short answer: Reading that Simon “used sorcery and bewitched the people of Samaria,” he says the people said he was the power of God, and the power of sorcery “comes from the kingdom of darkness.” He says “just because someone can do some kind of supernatural thing, and it’s limited, you don’t fall for it,” and asks, “what’s their message? What’s their end goal?”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 23:35 Hallelujah. Simon, in Acts 8:9, “used sorcery and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one, to whom they all,” how many? All “gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the power of” Satan? No. Who do they say he was? “The power of God.” And who does the scripture say this power of sorcery comes from? The kingdom of darkness, church. Are you there? See, just because someone can do some kind of supernatural thing, and it’s limited, you don’t fall for it. What’s their message? What’s their end goal? And in Lakeland, Florida, they had their end goal as some woman angel. Nowhere in the Bible is there a woman angel. In fact, angels don’t have sex, they’re just spirits. They don’t have a penis, they don’t have a vagina, they’re just spirits. What I mean, he uses “he” so we can understand. Ain’t that right?
