▶ 0:00 I’m not ashamed of the Lord Jesus Christ the gospel of Christ in it the righteousness of God is revealed and when you’re preaching some message did you say is the gospel of Christ and it’s not revealing right and truth you’re preaching your own doctrine could that be an amen yes. Now today we’re going to answer two Bible questions how many of you like Bible questions asked answered yes okay the first one in Jeremiah 26:28 what is the chaff to the wheat do you know. God asked that question through Jeremiah the prophet what is the chaff to the wheat how many don’t know what chaff is. Okay how many don’t know what wheat is okay you know what wheat [unclear] I got it right over here got it standing right over here we’re gonna find the answer to that question and the answer to the other question Jesus Christ ask himself why do you not judge what is right why don’t you people decide what is right is that a good question we’re gonna answer those questions today do you want to know why you don’t make right decisions.

▶ 1:19 You’re gonna get that question answered today all right are you ready okay we’re gonna go to Luke 3:16 John said I baptize with water they come to John by the way and they said are you the messiah are you the Christ to come and John answered by saying I baptize with water but he Jesus [unclear] not only baptized in water but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and he will baptize you with fire now this fire is a good fire like the Holy Ghost is a good Holy Ghost and baptism water baptism is good because it is the putting to death of the old man raising back up a new creation so the fire is good is that an amen it’s not hellfire it’s not the lake of fire and it’s not the plague of fire.

▶ 2:14 It’s the baptism of fire. Now. We know in the Bible there are four baptisms. Some people don’t believe in any of these baptisms or they might disbelieve in one or two of them you can’t just disbelieve the Bible and explain it away the gospel is the gospel is that an amen there are four baptisms in the Bible the water as we said repentance from sin admitting your sin getting water baptized one time identifying with the death burial and the resurrection of Christ you are cleansed and forgiven of sin okay you come out of that water a new creation that God is going to work on the baptism of Holy Spirit according to acts chapter one is a baptism of power to be a witness for him.

▶ 3:11 That’s exactly what it says how many of you need supernatural power to live yeah we [unclear] need that then the baptism of fire a third question we’re going to answer is what is the baptism of fire are you interested. Do you know what the baptism of fire is. We’ll see. And then there’s a baptism into the body of Christ the church you see the Bible tells us in Corinthians you have the same care one for another when you understand the church and you go to church you love its members. Beloved let us love one another you care for the people you don’t just go to you know spend time showing that you’re going to church and you’re placed into the body with a ministry whether it’s a doorkeeper whether it’s a record keeper an accountant [unclear] in school children’s church teacher singer musical instrument whatever you’re placed in the baptism into the body of Christ and that’s why you go to church they that go grow and they grow from the love and concern from the rest of the flock and [unclear] people go from church to church because they haven’t been baptized into the body of Christ.

▶ 4:45 Now. He goes right in and says his winnowing fork is in his hand Jesus his winnowing fork is in his hand and he will thoroughly clean out his threshing floor the threshing floor is where the wheat is brought in from the field okay in sheaves they bundle up it’s called sheaves bringing in the sheaves bringing in the sheaves okay that’s the wheat it’s got the stalk it’s got the seeds it’s that is the cut wheat right there all right it’s brought to the threshing floor here’s my little threshing floor right here let me get some food out here. the threshing floor is [unclear] the threshing means it’s beat okay we’re gonna beat this wheat to separate.

▶ 5:43 The top part the grain. the wheat from the stalk the straw all right and they take a device and they beat it. Then they throw the straw away. Okay it’s called stubble now they keep beating it because the chaff is what covers the seed that part you see right here is the chaff inside the chaff chaff is also known as a husk I mean you know what a a corn is surrounded by a husk or wheat is surrounded by husks they call it chaff all right. So they separate they keep beating that wheat.

▶ 6:42 Now they don’t use a hammer they use a piece of wood. All right but I use the hammer because it’s gonna come in important later all right then you have left on the threshing floor the chaff which is broken away from the wheat seed and the seed and then the winnowing fork they take and they pick this pile up and they throw it in the air and the wind blows the chaff away because it’s really light I’ll just blow. Yeah and then there’s seed left so he brings them into the threshing floor the wheat from the harvest field so we’re not talking about the harvest field we’re talking about the threshing floor where he separates the stalk the straw from

▶ 7:35 the chaff and the seed and then the chaff from the seed okay there’s three things on the threshing floor remember the hay the stalk which they throw away. The Bible says in first Corinthians 3:12 that any man’s work built on the foundation of Jesus if it fails the test of fire there is no reward. Okay that’s the straw all right the wheat according to Matthew 13:19 and 36 is the word and the children of the kingdom so he’s bringing you into the threshing floor and he’s going to beat you to separate the worthless chaff the chaff is the indigestible.

▶ 8:32 Part of the wheat humans cannot eat chaff. Okay the body will not digest it. This is bad beliefs and lack of truth you see the wheat is nourishment and it can reproduce the chaff cannot reproduce and it gives no nourishment all right these are the sincere milk of the word that you may grow thereby so see the chaff you can’t grow it is doctrines and beliefs that Christians believe that they can’t grow because they’re not gospel truths he’ll gather the wheat into his barn he’s going to gather you unto his storehouse you see Malachi explains it very clearly bringing you all the tithes into the storehouse that there may be meat food in my house so the storehouse is the house of God the church you got that see the Bible explains itself doesn’t need anybody interpreting it.

▶ 9:49 Now in my years of pastoring I cannot believe how many people don’t trust God with 10% bring you all the tithes into the storehouse so there may be food in my house the food is the word of God to get the word of God out they just can’t. Trust God with 10% of their money for some reason and therefore there’s no reward. Remember in first Corinthians there if you build on the foundation of Christ things that can’t pass through the fire there’s no what reward what is the reward of paying tithe the devourer is [unclear] the destroyer is rebuked on your life amen now you don’t go to hell for not paying tithes but you don’t get the reward of obeying the principle got it now just that alone was good for you and if you don’t believe you can pay tithe then I dare you to bring a penny.

▶ 10:59 The widow was honored because she brought a penny God will take what you think you can give and he will accept it and you will grow in your giving and I challenge it never let an offering plate go by unless you’re giving [unclear] something. David said I will not offer something unto God that cost me nothing put a penny in I challenge you the action of giving will start changing your heart could that be an amen. so those of you [unclear] believe you can’t [unclear] start giving a penny every time and then you will watch what happened I tried to teach this to the youth several years ago for some reason the church is embarrassed about taking up offerings it is a principle of God you should not be embarrassed about it you should be embarrassed when people get up and take two or three offerings and try to [unclear] you out of your money all you are responsible for is 10% anything other than that is an offering you do it freely amen.

▶ 12:14 Now. So we are brought into God’s storehouse into God’s church the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire this fire is still the fire. The baptism of fire is still the fire he’s talking about are you with me most people immediately go this is hellfire now it’s it’s the good fire it’s the baptism of fire. to get rid of the indigestible worthless chaff in your life to get rid of it totally consumed it really means consumed with unquenchable fire is the right.

▶ 13:01 Scripture there I put burn in because it fit in my square with many other exhortations he preached and [unclear] preached here is the word gospel he [unclear] gospel to the people he brought good news to the people he brought a good message to the people so all of this is part of what the gospel are you with me hallelujah now exhortation means to urge to action to encourage to act and the gospel folks is there to encourage you to respond and act on the word because in responding in acting there is a reward is that an amen that’s just simple stuff now let’s go and explain.

▶ 13:53 Understanding number one of this scripture. Psalms 1:4 and many other scriptures says the ungodly are like chaff. Alright the ungodly are like chaff. But it doesn’t say they are burned up. when God uses [unclear] ungodly for chaff he says the wind drives them away you see the winnowing the winds separates them why doesn’t he consume them because he can’t save them if he destroys them it just says ungodly [unclear] shall not stand in the congregation of the righteous see there’s a separation got it hallelujah so.

▶ 14:48 the ungodly when the Bible uses the ungodly for chaff he’s talking about parting the chaff from the wheat. The righteousness from those that are wrong no fires involved and they can repent isn’t that merciful God isn’t that a good God yes so we don’t want to get the parables mixed up you’ve got to have the right parable with the right scripture amen. how many were once ungodly. Now some of you lied some of you guys lie yeah. Aren’t you glad that God didn’t destroy you yes that he showed you there’s a separation between right and wrong so you could change yes all right so that’s understanding number one but it does not fit into this scripture does it does it no.

▶ 15:50 The fire makes the difference okay the chaff is consumed with fire okay now understanding number two chaff is a follower’s immoral beliefs not right beliefs beliefs that are wrong dishonest beliefs or a lack of truth or a lack of belief in truth that hinders their growth stops their growth and stops reproduction. that makes sense now we’re going to prove it by scripture but that is the second understand and that’s the understanding that fits in to that Luke scripture now it’s solved this problem is solved by refiners fire and hammer that’s why I use the hammer they actually use a wooden thing.

▶ 16:52 mallet to beat it you know they’ll take a [unclear] anyway. Refine means to purify like silver and gold the fire gets out the impurities so it becomes 24 karat gold 100% gold and so forth but refine is not just to purify refine also makes the object elegant beautiful. isn’t that something you see you buy jewelry gold and silver and so forth because it looks good. God wants to make you look good. Amen he wants you to be elegant and it’s also makes the gold and silver or whatever is refined more effective like this computer has silver in it all computers have silver in them and what makes it more effective silver is if it’s purified if it’s refined if it still had impurities in it it would not be as effective.

▶ 18:04 So see how many want to be an effective Christian then we need [unclear] refined. To get rid of these beliefs that are stopping our growth or to get understanding because the lack of understanding you can’t grow there’s no nourishment in no understanding. Are you with me all right so. That is understanding number two which fits into this scripture now let me give you [unclear] the teenagers are very fortunate to be here for this message. Because there’s a lot of voices out there and I had to work through this stuff as a young Christian back in the 60s all right once saved always saved is not in the Bible anywhere.

▶ 19:02 yet people invented the belief they coined the belief and it’s not in the Bible anyway all right faith without work is not in the Bible anyway even the scripture they use the very next verse says. Righteous works. That’s Ephesians 2 all right predestination is not in the Bible anywhere that some people are born to go to hell and some people are born to go to heaven and you’re wasting your time trying to save people that are born to go to hell that is not a just God is it and it’s a big Calvinistic teaching and if you young people can just listen to this for a minute and let this get into you so the Holy Spirit can bring it out when you run into these doctrines you’re not going to be fooled by this and you old folks too but if I could have heard something like this when I was a teenager it would have changed my life right then we didn’t have this kind of teaching in church when I was in church okay you just had the basic baby stuff.

▶ 20:15 Jesus only is not in the Bible God has many names [unclear] don’t give me this Jesus only stuff pre seven-year tribulation rapture is not in the Bible nowhere in the Bible does it say there’s seven years of tribulation nor [unclear] they twist scriptures to get that you understand the Bible doesn’t tell us how long the tribulation is at all all right hair clothes jewelry and makeup is holiness nowhere in the Bible does it say that’s holiness holiness is loving your neighbor as yourself doing no harm to your neighbor doing no harm to God that’s holiness your hair has nothing to do with it you can be bald-headed football-headed. Whatever it doesn’t it doesn’t mean anything are you with me but we see these these men coin these things that distract the church from the gospel that has tremendous rewards.

▶ 21:24 all right idols help you pray the Catholics you know well we don’t pray to the idol the idol just helps us pray that’s not in the Bible there’s no [unclear] in the Bible [unclear] idols you know [unclear] something’s gonna help you pray are you with me the Catholics also use holy water holy water is a shadow law pointing to the Holy Ghost and the water of the word are you with me there’s no holy water a sign of the cross there’s no sign of the cross [unclear] all right. there’s no icons the Orthodox church uses icons and [unclear] and all this stuff [unclear] no icons that nothing in the Bible God is an invisible God you approach the invisible God personally yourself is that an amen all right you don’t need any object of help all right now no baptism I [unclear] that earlier some people don’t believe you have to be water baptized some don’t believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is another experiencing God and some people don’t believe in the baptism and the body of Christ but them not believing in that and teaching that and using some obscure scripture to twist to make that happen does not make it truth does it it is chaff.

▶ 22:52 Authority of the believer name it claim it. And that’s still around when I go visit name it claim it [unclear] I’m a believer whatever I ask God’s gonna go well yeah yeah according to his will you better add that thing if it’s not his will he ain’t [unclear] nothin. Are you with me yeah you got to use the whole scripture. It was a big movement when I was a young Christian name it claim it name it claim it no tongues. Are for today or tongues are the only sign of the Holy Spirit neither one of those is true the Bible never says that tongues stop in fact Paul says what forbid not to speak in tongues didn’t he say that. there’s no era where there was tongues and then there’s no [unclear] tongues means languages young people different languages that’s what it means and the Bible says tongues are a sign for the unbeliever and so these are man-made invented beliefs to meet their own ideology their own thinking.

▶ 24:07 slavery both President Obama and President Bush Jr. said publicly I have their videos that the Bible approves of slavery I wrote both of them and showed them the Bible does not approve of slavery and neither one responded. now both of them [unclear] the big denominations and you know [unclear] just because you go to a denomination just because somebody graduated from seminary doesn’t mean they have the gospel truth in fact they may be teaching what that seminary told them to teach and they haven’t got on their knees and had God open that word up to them himself could that be an amen. None of these are in the Bible none of these are gospel a social government is not in the Bible and that’s what the liberals progressives and the major part of the Democratic party is pushing on America right now a socialistic government where the government provides for the people in the Bible the government could only do two things they had a judicial system and they had an army to protect you from invaders and a judicial system that protected you from criminals that’s it.

▶ 25:30 You were responsible to take care of yourself. Are you there and whether you like it or not you can’t show me in the Bible where a socialistic government is. instituted by God just not there and Amen so far see I had to work through all this most people don’t even think God talks about politics and and civil leaders that’s his third largest topic is civil leaders. no faith no heal when I grew up and if you believe God to heal your cancer heal [unclear] whatever man if you believe well you didn’t get healed you didn’t believe.

▶ 26:23 What a cop-out. God heals because he chooses to heal and whether you got the faith or not he will heal you if you just take one baby step toward him if that’s his plan are you with me. God is still doing miracles folks don’t you believe these people that tell you there’s no miracles today don’t you believe these people to tell you there’s no hell no lake of fire they’re lying to you alright. Marriage in heaven there’s the churches that preach you’re gonna be married in heaven if you do a certain kind of ceremony or whatever and no marriage in heaven there’s no sex in heaven. It’s not gospel it’s not Bible all right angels have sex with humans and they became giants or [unclear] in the Bible or so forth they’re lying to you.

▶ 27:23 Angels obey the father if an angel had sex with a human being they would be disobeying the father are you there. Besides they can’t angels don’t have sexual organs how they gonna have sex. they’re spirits and young people if you would listen to me I can help you avoid a lot of confusion because these things are still promoted out there like they are gospel and they are not alright no virgin birth that is just ridiculous how you going to have God in the flesh and not have a virgin birth amen and the liberal churches is the ones that promote this the Bible is a book of faith nowhere in the Bible church does it say the Bible is a book of faith no where it says faith comes by hearing the word but several times it says the Bible is a book of truth.

▶ 28:28 Amen facts. Honesty the Bible is a book of truth the people that opposed the Bible want to say it’s a book of faith so they forbid it to be used in any debate in any civil meeting or whatever see they don’t want the Bible there well because it exposes the wrong ideology their wrong beliefs are you with me. Am I moving too fast. all right no faith no heal women keep silent in the church [unclear] that’s bunk he says wife [unclear] the word means wife there the way the Jews have services even today is the men are separated from their wives and the debate goes on they bring up a scripture and the debate goes on what is it and all Paul is saying is the women the wife back here in the back can’t override their husband because the Bible says plain that the wife is not to usurp authority over her husband.

▶ 29:37 Are you there so he’s down there and he has permission to talk and if the wives talk back here it would disrupt and bring confusion that’s all that is how you’re going to have women prophets [unclear] women prophesy if they got to be silent how you gonna have women teaching if they got to be silent are you with me it’s just not in the Bible and yet it is a believe by a lot of people unconditional love is not in the Bible how many have heard that that statement oh yeah when people want to whine and cry and feel bad for themselves they want unconditional love they want you to accept them without them changing. Doesn’t the Bible say to love one another isn’t that a two-way street I got to love Terry Terry’s gotta love me..

▶ 30:31 you see I don’t have to love him [unclear] gonna beat me up and steal my money every time I get in here I don’t have to I don’t have to put up with that it is a two-way street love is conditional even God if you don’t repent. Confess your sins he is not going to forgive you of your sin there is a condition. Amen all right the date of the second return I’m appalled at how still people are trying to predict the day of Christ’s coming when the Bible plainly says no one knows plainly said it and of course people want to get rid of hell the eternal lake of fire because [unclear] don’t want to think that they’re going to burn there and the liberal churches are big on this stuff very big on this stuff there is a hell there is a lake of fire there is an eternal punishment if you die in your sins without repenting but if you repent your angel is going to tell God when Satan accuses you he’s going to say no that guy repented of that back there and this time and so forth Satan has no authority over that sin because they were repented of it it’s washed out of the books amen.

▶ 31:55 So young people when you fall get back up by simply admitting you were wrong and turning back to right could that be an amen don’t let Satan talk you into not being a Christian anymore not following his ways because you blunder and [unclear] you’re gonna fall several times if you’re a normal young person but you will be able to get back up. So there we have it now Jeremiah 23:28 he that has my word the gospel let him speak my word the gospel loyally. Stick to the gospel not your opinions. Not your group’s beliefs stick to the gospel what is the chaff to the wheat we just answered that on the last slide.

▶ 32:51 now you know what the chaff is to the wheat it’s a hindrance to the growth of the wheat the child of God all right there. It stops the growth it can’t reproduce that is what the chaff is so the chaff has to be removed from the wheat because it’s going to keep the wheat from reproducing and it’s going to keep the wheat from growing and maturing that makes sense that’s what the chaff is to the wheat my word is like a what fire. fire that consumes what the [unclear] those things that are hindering my Christian growth and development the fire is going to burn out it’s going to bring to the top and bring it burn out and a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces so I brought a little hammer to connect with this scripture here alright so yes God is going to discipline you you’re going to go on the threshing floor but it’s to remove the things that are hindering you it’s not to destroy you or hurt you in any way it is to make you elegant a better Christian amen to purify you.

▶ 34:11 isn’t that beautiful yeah and the rock remember you are stones build into a spiritual house and you need shaping the stones had to be shaped so it would fit into the next stone and the stone above it and the stone below it and the stone on each side of it had to be shaped and so the word of God is a fire and a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces. refines them Malachi 3:2 and other scriptures ok not just this one says the Lord is like a refiners fire he will purify the sons of Levi as gold and silver so they may offer to him an offering in righteousness. You see I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Christ because it is the revelation of what is right and when you have a Revelation of what is right it exposes the opposite what is wrong.

▶ 35:13 Amen now. Luke remember I said Jesus asks why do you not judge what is right. Why you don’t make right decisions is because you haven’t received the baptism of fire. Most of you haven’t even heard of it. But the baptism of fire is there to burn out of your life those bad doctrines or the lack of doctrine that hinder your Christian growth. See the prophet said I am for you not against you see you got to understand that God comes and deals with us because he’s for us he wants to make us more effective a more elegant person a more light a better light to the world.

▶ 36:10 Amen. So if we enter this baptism of fire we will make right decisions because we will know what right is because the bad stuff is being removed from us. That makes sense. Alleluia and don’t you believe what these people preach that not everybody can be filled with the Holy Ghost everybody can everybody can be baptized in fire everybody can be baptized in water everybody can be saved isn’t that what the scripture says God is not willing that any should perish but all would come to the knowledge of salvation we choose to reject it it isn’t God wanting to send anybody to hell alright so we got those two questions answered and the third one what is the baptism of fire okay so let’s go and let me show you an example of this in the Bible.

▶ 37:18 Luke 24:32 Jesus died on the cross he rose from the grave and now he’s walking with two of his disciples on the road and they don’t know who he is yet and he’s talking to them about the scriptures and then he leaves them and they said did not our heart burn. That baptism of fire within us while he talked and opened to us the scriptures. what caused the burning him opening the scriptures they’ve been with him three and a half years church they’ve heard him preach everything to the people over and over and yet they didn’t have their understanding open you could be going to the church for forty years and not have your understanding open if you don’t understand there’s a baptism of fire.

▶ 38:20 That will separate the bad from the good and get the bad beliefs and stuff out of here are you there. Okay let me give you some examples these guys were with Jesus three and a half years here it is teaching and you didn’t understand. When he was 12 years old he says I must be about my father’s business. His mother and his stepdad was there and his brothers and the priests were there and nobody understood what he was saying. Why. They hadn’t had their understanding open. the greatest in the kingdom [unclear] in the church we want to be the top dog and you know.

▶ 39:15 and we want to put down anybody that’s at the top so we may get that position or whatever they wanted to be the greatest and they didn’t understand when Jesus says if you become like a child anybody that becomes like a child is the greatest they didn’t get it. Position was more important than heart condition are you there could that be true today give me a position I don’t want a heart condition I want a position okay. when he talked about Lazarus being asleep or that those asleep in Christ shall rise first they didn’t understand talking about the death the dead being raised they didn’t get it when he talked about his father the Bible says they didn’t understand. and [unclear] people today are so confused about the trinity well so were the apostles until their understanding got opened are you there you can debate till doomsday but when God opens your understanding you [unclear] understand the three part God and the many names that he had the loaves and the fishes they didn’t understand it Jesus had to rebuke them [unclear] don’t you understand that when I fed the multitude with the loaves and the fishes I was talking if I can do that in the natural I can feed you in the spiritual [unclear].

▶ 40:44 Are you there. The leaven of the Pharisees and the parables the resurrection they didn’t understand and when they came into Jerusalem [unclear] the people praised him and they were [unclear] waving palm leaves and throwing their coats [unclear] and [unclear] hallelujah the savior you know Jesus you know they were praising and the people go who stop these people that’s that’s that’s nonsense and Jesus said if these people don’t praise me the rocks will cry out and praise me how many don’t want a rock taking your place yeah. see they didn’t get it and they were the big bad apostles and then you got the works of the flesh sexual immorality lewdness idolatry sorcery or witchcraft hatred conflicts quarreling fighting jealousies anger selfishness you want everything your way divisions you know well if you don’t believe like I believe I’m just gonna take my ball and go home.

▶ 41:54 You know heresies talking teaching things that are not even in the Bible envy murders intoxication while partying all of that is works of the flesh that hinder your growth and the baptism of fire will come and burn that out of you it’s a supernatural work it’s not something you can go to a 12-step program or a seven step program and get done only less than seven percent of those people and those programs get delivered but when you go through the baptism of fire you’re going to be delivered Exodus three to an angel appeared to Moses in the midst of the burning Bush that [unclear] today goes along with my message. The Bush was not consumed. Say it with me the Bush was not consumed the Bush was not consumed this baptism of fire is not going to hurt you in any way just like the three hebrew children were in that fiery furnace they come out without even smelling of smoke that’s how you’re gonna come out of a baptism of fire the only thing it’s not coming out with you is those bad beliefs and lack of understanding that’s hindering your walk is that a good amen.

▶ 43:18 The baptism of fire the angels appeared but God spoke the angel appeared but God spoke to Moses in the bush saying I am with you let’s all say that I am with you do you understand that it isn’t the Devil bothering you Jesus is with you and there is no Devil big enough to overcome Jesus that’s with you can I hear an amen [unclear] get rid of this stuff the Devil’s chasing me and that’s that’s not in the Bible either he can only test you what you’re able to endure and that [unclear] a season he’s got to leave you alone after that are you with me all right I’m with you to lead you and my people out of Egypt to what myself.

▶ 44:16 Church there is a reality in God when I got saved I met a living God when I got filled with the Holy Ghost baptized in the Holy Ghost I got baptized in power. Are you there it’s real these things are real and you can experience them okay I am with you to lead my people out of bondage out of [unclear] the bad beliefs into the good beliefs amen [unclear] and Moses said what who am I that’s what we say well who am I [unclear] that I should get baptized in [unclear] who am I that I should get baptized in fire who am I to attain to be a mature Christian who am I that is what most Christians keep telling themselves but I submit to you today the word of God tells you that you can attain you can attain a place where you make right decisions you can attain the baptism of fire they are not unattainable.

▶ 45:28 They are attainable if you ask him and you seek him you will experience these things in your life and you will be a person that knows how to make a right decision and you will be a person that understands bad doctrine from gospel [unclear].
