Daniel 7 shows four beasts, the Ancient of Days on a fiery throne, and the Son of Man—Jesus—receiving dominion. The kingdom is given to the saints; the court sits in judgment and takes away the little horn’s dominion.

What did Daniel see in chapter 7?

Short answer: In chronological order: a lion, a bear, a leopard and a fourth beast.

▶ 0:00 And we’re going in chronological order. So I’m going to Daniel chapter 7. That’s the next chronological order in Daniel. In chapter 7, we’re going to find the only account of the ancient of days. God being called the ancient of days. And the ancient of days in Daniel is going to set the judgment. The judgment is set. He’s going to open the books in Daniel. And he’s going to reveal he or he does reveal the son of man. The son of man is revealed in Daniel. And he gives possession of the kingdom to the saints of the most high God. Daniel has a dream and he has visions. In the first year of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, he saw the four winds of heaven stove upon the great sea and four different beasts or four different animals come up from the sea.

▶ 1:02 The first animal was a lion. The second animal was a bear. The third one was a leopard and the fourth one was a dreadful beast. The lion had eagle’s wings, whatever that means. The lep the bear had three ribs in his mouth. Well, he’s a devour, so that’s what’s left over what he desired. The leper has four heads and four wings, whatever that means. And the last beast that was different from all the rest, dreadful and strong, had iron teeth, tin horns, and he broke in pieces and used his feet to stample the resin of the whole earth. The wings of the lion were plucked, and then the lion was lifted from off the earth, and he stood as a man lifted off the earth with a man’s heart given to it, whatever that means.

▶ 2:04 You’ll understand why I say that as we go. The bear was told to arise and devour much flesh. That’s why the ribs were in his mouth. That didn’t take much brains to figure that one out. The leper was given dominion, rulership, and the last beep that was different from the rest. He had a little diverse horn that was different from the rest of the t horns with man’s eyes uproot the first three horns, whatever that means. And this horn had a mouth speaking great things. He could really rattle off the mouth. You guys know anybody that just talks all the time and says nothing.

▶ 2:56 Yeah. Oh, this is the little horn just talking all the time. Mainly bragging about himself and how what he knows and Okay. Till. See the word. See the word there? Say till. Till. Verse nine. Till. He shoots his mouth off. Hill. Oh, something is going to happen. Till the thrones were cast down. All four of these thrones are cast down till the ancient of days only used in Daniel came and sit like as a burning fiery flame. A fiery stream came from before him. And I found a good illustration on the internet of that. It’s a great picture. It got it got it all covered. The ancient of days has a garment as white as snow and hair pure like wool just like over in Revelations 1 of Jesus.

Scripture (NKJV)

Daniel 7:3-7 (NKJV)

And four great beasts came up from the sea, each different from the other. The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man’s heart was given to it. “And suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear. It was raised up on one side, and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said thus to it: ‘Arise, devour much flesh!’ “After this I looked, and there was another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. The beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it. “After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns.

What is the Ancient of Days’ throne like?

▶ Watch this part (3:53)

Short answer: Fiery flame, wheels as burning fire—compare Ezekiel; thousands minister to Him.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 3:53 His wheels as a burning fire, rotating wheels, whatever that mean. Go to Ezekiel. Maybe he can help you out. Thou a thousand thousands ministered to him. Now, I don’t know what a thousand thousands is because when you have a plural, it could mean a Google. How many you know what a Google is? A 100 million. I mean, a million zeros after it, right? Yeah. Okay. A thousand thousands. So, when you got a plural, you don’t know how many more thousand there is. Am I right? But that’s a heap of bunch, isn’t it? And 100 million 10,000 times 10,000 stood before the ancient of days. And the judgment was set.

▶ 4:44 Woo! The trial, the evidence, and the verdict and the sentence. The books were open. And you have the scrolls there. The books open. Verse 11, this guy shoots his mouth off till the beast was slain, his body destroyed and given to a burning flame which we know the ancient of days sit as a burning what? Flame for the words of the little horn. Why was the little horn and the beast destroyed by God? Because of his mouth. Shooting his mouth off. Now, he’s going to explain this further. All right.

▶ 5:37 The other beasts, the other kingdoms had their dominion taken away and their lives prolonged for a season and a time. Their lives were prolonged. Well, you know, they’ve already been stomped and shredded down and stomped on by the last beast. The kings are gone. I mean, you know, kings rule over a kingdom, a nation. So, the nations remain even though the government of that nation is gone, whatever that means. Now, I’m going to dig into the books we’re open. All right? You all know this stuff. I’m just going to remind you. Ezekiel, I mean, Exodus 32:32, Moses, when God said, “I’m going to destroy Israel and I’ll raise up to you a seed and I’ll bless them.” Boy, most Christians in America.

▶ 6:34 Oh, yeah, Lord. That’s me, man. Annihilate these other Christians. All that did not just bless me. I’m the I’m the only one that’s following it. But not Moses because he was what? The meakest man outside of Jesus Christ. He followed God no matter what. He didn’t fall for that. You know, I want you’re the special one. Moses knew that all of God’s people were special. And so God, he says, “Blot me out of your book instead of destroying your people.” And God replies, “Whosoever sins against me, him will I blot out of my book.” How do you get blotted out of God’s book? By sin. Can faith save you? Not if you keep sinning. Can grace save you? Not if you keep sinning and habitually sin.

▶ 7:31 Psalm 69 verse 21 talking about Jesus Christ and his death on the cross. They gave gall for my meat and vinegar for my thirst. Blot them out of the book of the living. So there is a book in heaven that has names in it that can be blotted out. Daniel 12:1, “At that time your people shall be delivered. Everyone that shall be found written where?” In the book of the living, Revelations 20:12, I saw the dead stand before God. The books were open and the book of life. And they were judged by the thing written in the books that were open. What did happen in Daniel 7? The books were open. The record of your behavior on earth is being recorded. And then there’s another book called the book of life.

▶ 8:27 Are have you got that so far? Now I’m making this is kindergarten stuff. This is easy to see. All right. And they were judged by the things written according to their works, not their faith, not the grace, their works, their behavior. Whosoever is not found in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15. So Daniel got the Revelation of this books and this judgment way before Jesus came along and clarified it. Daniel has continued night vision. After he saw that, he saw something else. He got the Revelation of Jesus Christ. One like the son of man came with the clouds of heaven to the ancient of days. Here we have the Revelation of the son of man, Jesus Christ given to Daniel hundreds of years before Christ came.

Scripture (NKJV)

Daniel 7:9-10 (NKJV)

“I watched till thrones were put in place, And the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, And the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, Its wheels a burning fire; A fiery stream issued And came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, And the books were opened.

Who is the Son of Man?

▶ Watch this part (9:25)

Short answer: Jesus—who do men say I am? Daniel was troubled by the visions.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 9:25 And Jesus said in Matthew 16:13, he asked his disciples, “Who do men say that I, the son of man, am?” So Jesus said he was what? The son of man. So who did Daniel see over in Daniel chapter 7? Jesus Christ. You see, Revelations tells us that Jesus Christ was the first of creation. Not that he was created, but God set himself apart to die for the sins of the world. That’s why the scripture says in the New Testament, his blood was shed before the foundation of the world. Before Genesis 1, in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. And the earth was without form and void, and darkness covered the waters of the deep.

▶ 10:21 Before that, God set himself apart to be the son of God named Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the whole world. God never had a plan B. He had one plan. Hallelujah. Now there was given to the son of man dominion, rulership, glory, honor, and a kingdom that all people, nations, languages, and tribes should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion. His rulership is everlasting, will never pass away, and his kingdom, the area he rules over, shall not be what? Destroyed. A king rules over a kingdom, and the kingdom Jesus rules over shall never be.

▶ 11:15 Now, folks, this is tremendous stuff Daniel’s getting. Way ahead of his time. Matthew 28:18, Jesus said, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Jesus said, “I am the one Daniel’s talking about. I am that part of God that was born of a virgin, died on the cross, preached, did miracles, rose again, and ascended into heaven. And God has given this part of God authority over everything, principalities and powers of darkness, kings of the earth, and the head of the church and the families. Can I hear an amen? Now verse 15 says Daniel was grieved.

▶ 12:09 He was distressed. He was sad. And his spirit and the visions that he saw troubled him. It alarmed him. So Daniel was given the interpretation. Now here is the interpretation. That’s why I said whatever that is because everywhere I said whatever that is, the interpreter gives no information on it. But boy, you got the Christian bookstore filled with books of what these beasts mean. And they have to be insane because the Bible plainly says, don’t add to the word and don’t take away from the word. And if the interpreter did not give the meanings of the beast, we should not what?

▶ 13:03 Be trying to figure it out. It’s all a big fantasy that gets people all worked up. And if the interpreter didn’t know, and Daniel, who saw the vision, didn’t know, who do we think we are? Could that be an amen? Amen. But we love fantasies. God’s people love fantasies. Oh man, they love the, you know, the destruction and the evil day coming and and they can’t get their basic stuff together to love your neighbor and love yourself by doing no harm. But boy, we get caught up in all this other nonsense. The beast are four kings which will rise out of the earth.

▶ 13:53 And that’s it. Four kings that are come out of the earth. That’s it. That’s all the guy says. Bomb. That’s it. But look what he says. But the saints of the most high shall take the kingdom, the kingdom that cannot be destroyed and possess the kingdom. For how long? Forever and ever. Wow. Why are we focusing on the beast when God is focusing on the saints? Hallelujah. Luke 12:31. I already taught in past lesson in Daniel about the kingdom.

Who receives the kingdom?

▶ Watch this part (14:47)

Short answer: The saints—fear not, little flock; judgment, the little horn and the saints.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 14:47 So, I’m just going to remind you Jesus said, “Fear not, little flock. For it is your father’s good pleasure to give you what?” The kingdom. Folks, we don’t have to wait for the rapture. It’s his pleasure to what? Give us the kingdom. He wants us to have the kingdom. And Daniel saw this hundreds of years before Jesus came and clarified it all. Isn’t that beautiful? Now remember in the Bible, the Bible says in the New Testament that mysteries are hidden in the scriptures. There are hidden mysteries. There are hidden secrets. I want to show you how the hidden secrets work here. Okay? And and that way you understand Daniel talking about beast and suddenly out of nowhere God talks about the saints.

▶ 15:42 Okay? This is how God distributes truth in the Bible. Watch this. God talks about Ahaz in Isaiah chapter 7. Okay? 13 verses he talks about Ahaz, a king, not and then just out of the blue, he says, “The Lord himself shall give you a sign. A virgin shall conceive and bear a son and shall call his name Emanuel.” and then goes back to talking about Ahaz. Now, we know he’s talking about who? Jesus Christ being born of a virgin because we’re on the other side of this and Jesus has opened the understanding of these scriptures up to us. But do you see the pattern here? Here’s another one. In Hosea chapter 10, he’s talking about Israel.

▶ 16:37 All right? Talking about Israel, Ephraim, and all this. And then suddenly in Hosea 11:1, I called my son out of Egypt. Pow. Just out of nowhere, he throws this in. Has nothing to do with Israel and Ephraim and all those people, the Jews. He’s talking about Jesus Christ. And I’ll show you Matthew 2:15, that it might be fulfilled, spoken by the prophet Daniel, out of Egypt, I have called my son. Jesus went into Egypt and then came back. You understand? So here we see he’s talking about beast and then pow. He puts in the ancient of days, the saints. And the real focus is not on the beast. It’s on what? The ancient of days. Jesus Christ, the son of God, son of man.

▶ 17:32 The judgment and the little horn and the saints. Got it? So, we’re going to teach on what he’s focusing on and we’re going to forget about the beast with the wings that were plucked up and dominion given because the interpreter never said anything about him. And who are we to try to explain it? But these people are always trying to explain. Boy, they always want to show you what great Revelation they had. So they come up with this thing. The lion is Babylon. The bear is the media empire. Greece is the three fourheaded leper. And Rome is that big bad beast. And the little horn is the Catholic Church and the Pope. It doesn’t say that anywhere.

▶ 18:30 Now, the Catholic Church was really bad at one time. But it doesn’t say that. Here’s another chart. See, they’re showing Babylon is the lion, Persia is the bear, Greece is the leper, and then the big bad beast is Rome, and then the little horn is the pope in the Catholic Church, and then the judgment and all that. They get all that out of Daniel 7 when the interpreter said nothing about the beast. Nothing. Hallelujah. So, let’s stick with what the interpreter said. How many know he knows best? So, let’s look at the fourth beast and his kingdom that was different from all the other kingdoms. Let’s look at the interpretation of the tin horned fourth beast that treaded down the whole earth broke in pieces and a little horn that came up and destroyed three horns before it.

▶ 19:33 And I think we can see some Revelation of what that means. Are you ready? You interested in the horn and the saints? The little horn. The little horn made war with the saints and prevailed against them. Oh, this guy opposes the people of God and he overcomes them. He’s victorious over them. Man, don’t sound like you want to be a Christian here, huh? None of us like somebody ruling over us and prevailing over us. We’re all independent, cocky Americans. He had victory over the saints till there’s what a period of time the ancient of days came and judgment was given to the saints of the most high God.

What happens at the judgment?

▶ Watch this part (20:34)

Short answer: The court sits and the horn’s dominion is taken—he questions the usual three-and-a-half-year reading.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor Kincer

▶ 20:34 The saints are before the throne their tribe. The evidence is given and the throne passes out a sentence and the verdict was they’re going to possess the kingdom. Hallelujah. Folks, this is a tremendous promise. God didn’t save you just to wait for the rapture to go to heaven. He saved you to give you the kingdom. It’s the father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom, but you got to go through the trial. Oh, now wait a minute. Wait a minute. Nothing bad happens to the people of God. God’s just out for our total good here.

▶ 21:25 No, no, boy. I don’t know what book you’ve been reading, but the apostles who are way above you had a lot of things happening to them. Could that be an amen? Jesus Christ, our example, had a lot of bad things happening to him. Ain’t that right? The Roman Empire and the religious leaders of the Jews were given authority over Jesus till see laid down his life. They killed him, they beat him and then what he was victorious. See, we’ve believed this television and this Christian bookstore flattery for so long, we can’t even understand. We can’t even stand when we go through problems because we’re aren’t being taught to possess the kingdom.

▶ 22:26 Hallelujah. Just letting it sink in. So the little horn speaks great words against who? The most high. It speaks great words against God. This guy who has eyes like a human being and a mouth talking all the time is speaking against God. The scriptures, everything that God stands for, he wears out, he afflicts, he harasses the saints of the most high. Why? Because we are following God. So he’s against God, but it comes out against us. The saints are given unto his hand till times, time, and dividing of time.

▶ 23:17 Now, I know everybody’s got that three and a half years, but you think of that logically. I don’t even see in the Hebrew uh or in the Old Testament that that second time is plural, but I’m going to trust the scholars that it is. But when you have a plural time, how do you know it’s 2 years, 3 years, thousand years, or 100,000 years? It’s plural. It can be as many as God meant it to be. Are you there? But see, we get passed on this information. We go in there with our little narrow brain and we go, “Oh, yeah. Time, times, and the dividing of time, three and a half years.” Well, what’s three and a half years got to do with anything? Oh, we have to work that into three and a half years of the seven-year magical tribulation period, as we will get into later.

▶ 24:13 Oh, we we magically put all this stuff together. The interpreter didn’t do it. But our great prophets of the day come up with things that are not important and pass over the things that are important. And this little horn intends, he thinks he intends to change times and seasons. This word times is set time and season. Same as time times times and dividing a time. And he wants to change laws. Now what laws are you thinking he wanting to change? The most high laws, the one he’s speaking against. See, he’s wanting to change. Thou shalt not commit adultery or, you know, people have a right to do what they want. He’s wanting to change, you know, you shall not commit homosexuality. Oh, yeah. They’re they’re a civil uh group that have civil rights. And yeah, you know, see, they’re wanting to change God’s laws.

▶ 25:08 This is what the little horn does. Daniel 2:21 only he God changes the times and the seasons. He removes kings sets and set sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to them that have understanding. This little horn is just a big talker. He don’t have any power. Jesus is the one who changes times and seasons. And he can change your time and season. You’re in a tough time, he can change that. Hallelujah. You’re in a sinful walk in your life. Jesus can change that. You don’t have understanding of the scriptures. Jesus can change that. All these voices out there, they don’t have any power and authority.

▶ 26:01 Jesus does. Can I hear an amen? But the judgment shall sit. Verse 26. And they the saints shall take away his the little horns dominion over them. Remember he had dominion over them. So the saints take away that season where the little horn prevails against us because we pass the judgment. Are you there church? And the saints consume and destroy the little horn and that kingdom unto the end or unto the conclusion. So this thing is going to last from then to when God wraps up everything. This is not a seven-year period we’re talking about. We’re talking about every generation is going to have a little horn talking against God.
