Adding Knowledge: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
In this short fifth session on Bible morality, the speaker teaches that knowledge must be added to faith and virtue, and lists the five rewards of 2 Peter 1. He gives the marks of someone with Bible knowledge, cites Hosea 4:6 and Romans 6:23, and recounts Bible examples of sin’s consequences and God’s dealings with nations. He closes with calls to respond to Jesus, to defend religious freedom, and to separate spiritual harm from criminal harm.
What does it mean to “add” knowledge to virtue and faith?
Short answer: He says “add means you put something in that you didn’t have before,” and that his faith, water baptism, repentance, confession and Holy Ghost baptism “didn’t give it to me,” meaning knowledge. He says “when I added virtue it didn’t give me knowledge,” so it has to be added.

by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;

Short answer: He says faith “is just the foundation stone,” and that one with knowledge “spares his words” and has “a calm spirit.” He says such people can “make right decisions,” “don’t follow the crowd to do wrong,” and begin to gain knowledge when “we make a choice to look down on evil despise evil and to depart from evil.”
▶ 3:04 Very powerful promises. And the Bible has given us these great exceedingly great and precious promises and there are seven of these. Promises that we are to add to our faith faith is just the foundation stone of the goal of God so let’s look at the characteristics of one possessing Bible knowledge Proverbs 17:27. He who has knowledge spares his words a man of understanding is of a calm spirit wow. Second Chronicles 1:10-12 God gave Solomon wisdom and knowledge to judge the people to be able to make right decisions.
▶ 3:57 Of knowing what’s right and wrong he could make right decisions for the people Nehemiah 10 28 all having knowledge and understanding separate from the people of the lands to the law of God in other words they don’t follow the crowd to do wrong people with knowledge follow God no matter what the crowd does Proverbs 1:7 the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge and the fear of the Lord in Proverbs 8:13 and 16:6 is to depart from and hate evil so when we make a choice to look down on evil despise evil and to depart from evil we have begun to get the knowledge of the Lord. The characteristics of one without or rejecting Bible knowledge.

▶ 4:51 Hosea 4 verse 6 my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge Isaiah 5:13 my people have gone into captivity because they have no knowledge Romans 3:20 by the law is the knowledge of sin and so knowing the laws of God the word of God is very important but in the same book of Romans 6:23 the wages of sin the payment for sin is death and this word death encompasses three areas physical death spiritual death the lake of fire number two and the miseries of sin the pain and the suffering that comes because we choose a life of immorality. We go against Bible morality and it brings pain and misery in to our life now the secular humanist and the atheists the free thinkers the liberals and all these people they unite and come against Bible morality and make it illegal we need to unite and get back to Bible morality.

— Romans 6:23 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:17What Bible examples does he give of death and misery caused by sin?
Short answer: He gives examples from Genesis and Chronicles, including the first murder, the flood “because the whole world was given to violence and sexual immorality,” and Sodom “destroyed… because of sexual immorality and violence.” He also lists Noah’s drunkenness, Lot’s daughters, David’s sin and its consequences, and a king who killed his brothers and was plagued “with the disease of the bowels.”
▶ 6:04 We’re going to give some scriptural examples of preventable physical death preventable. Eternal death and preventable miseries because of our sin Genesis 4:11 came the first criminal murdered Abel God sentenced him to hard labor and banishment. Okay in Genesis 6:7 mankind was destroyed now God used capital punishment. Because the whole world was given to violence and sexual immorality. And Genesis 9:21 Noah got drunk got naked and his son saw him they covered him up and the next day he cursed his own son and Genesis 19:24 Sodom was destroyed. with [unclear] brimstone from heaven because of sexual immorality and violence.
▶ 7:02 19:35 of Genesis Lot got drunk committed incest with his two daughters got them pregnant and their offspring were outcasts for 900 years 10 generations. Second Samuel 13:2. God punished him by killing the baby the baby died as an infant brought incest from his own children having sex with his wives and he was dethroned for a period of time in Second Chronicles 21:9. Joram killed his own brothers six brothers and the nobles the powerful people in the community and so God came and plagued him with the disease of the bowels.

— 2 Chronicles 21:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:46How does he say God dealt with nations that sinned? (Ezekiel 14)
Short answer: He says Herod Agrippa was struck “for letting the people acknowledge him with as God,” and that “nations warred with Israel enslaved them and destroyed them for sin without repentance.” He cites Ezekiel 14 where God says “I will send war I will send famine” and that “no one would be saved except by their righteousness.” He says the United Nations “cannot prevent these things” unless they promote Bible morality.
▶ 8:04 Just like in the New Testament Herod Agrippa was smitten with the disease of the bowels with worms for letting the people acknowledge him with as God. And he accepted that acknowledgment. Now. God had told Israel if they sinned if they didn’t follow Bible morality bad things were going to happen and we find in the Bible that nations warred with Israel enslaved them and destroyed them for sin without repentance in Ezekiel 14 it says. When the people sin and don’t repent I will send war I will send famine I will send wild beasts and plagues to punish them for their sin and though Daniel and Noah and Job were there no one would be saved except by their righteousness.
▶ 8:57 Their own righteousness not daniels or somebody else’s and God named Assyria Babylon Persian and Greek empires that would deal with Israel and they did Jesus was predicted to come in the next empire after the grecian empire Rome. And all of these empires were predicted to come to an end because sinners correcting sinners sinners still have to be corrected. And so we see that God did back up his word and bring war and problems to Israel the Bible says Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever I am the Lord God I change not Jesus said that there would be wars and rumors of war famines earthquakes persecutions and imprisonment and folks the United Nations and NATO cannot prevent these things from happening unless they start promoting Bible morality and not weapons it’s Bible morality that’s going to cause God to bless the nations there’s nothing mankind can do to prevent what God said was going to happen from happening so.

Even if these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they would deliver only themselves by their righteousness,” says the Lord GOD. “If I cause wild beasts to pass through the land, and they empty it, and make it so desolate that no man may pass through because of the beasts, even though these three men were in it, as I live,” says the Lord GOD, “they would deliver neither sons nor daughters; only they would be delivered, and the land would be desolate. “Or if I bring a sword on that land, and say, ‘Sword, go through the land,’ and I cut off man and beast from it, even though these three men were in it, as I live,” says the Lord GOD, “they would deliver neither sons nor daughters, but only they themselves would be delivered. “Or if I send a pestilence into that land and pour out My fury on it in blood, and cut off from it man and beast, even though Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live,” says the Lord GOD, “they would deliver neither son nor daughter; they would deliver only themselves by their righteousness.”

For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.
— Matthew 24:6-9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 9:47 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does he say we should do about immorality, and whom does he call “wimps”?

▶ 10:17 What will you do today with Jesus telling you to repent believe confess be water baptized for the remission of sins be filled with the Holy Spirit adding Bible morality and knowledge to your faith. What are you going to do about immoral sex whether it’s homosexuality incest orgies sex outside of marriage what are you going to do. Murder lying stealing not honoring good parents and basically just not loving your neighbor as yourself and doing harm verbally and physically to your neighbor wimps believe remember and they have faith in something. They will join a church or a secular group. But they don’t repent they don’t confess they don’t get water baptized they are not filled with the Holy Spirit they do not add Bible morality and knowledge to their faith remember Congress.

— Mark 12:31 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 10:49 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does he say about the First Amendment and choosing to be a “warrior”?
Short answer: He reads the First Amendment and says “we must choose to respond to Jesus above our opinions our own faith our church’s opinions.” He says we must choose “if we are going to be a wimp or a warrior” and “stand up for the first amendment right,” and that Congress and the Supreme Court “respect and establish the religion of secular humanism and the religion of atheism.”
▶ 11:21 Shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. or abridging the freedom of speech or the freedom of the press and the right for the people to peaceably assemble and to petition the government for grievances we must choose to respond to Jesus above our opinions our own faith our church’s opinions and our church’s faith we must choose if we are going to be a wimp or a warrior fighting against anti-Bible morality bullies we must choose to stand up for the First Amendment right a free exercise of religion and freedom of speech freedom of press and being able to assemble today like we are right now and petition our government against the grievances that we have against him the violation of the First Amendment by Congress and the Supreme Court to respect and establish the religion of secular humanism and the religion of atheism as violated the First Amendment and.
What does he say about civil rights, crime and spiritual harm?
Short answer: He says “moral crime is not the color of one’s skin” or an ethnic group or sex, “these things does not hurt directly anyone,” whereas “a criminal a sinner violates nature’s moral laws… that physically hurt innocent people and it is to be punished by civil rulers.” He says “spiritual harm is dealt with by teaching spiritual truths” while “crime is not a civil right,” and says some church groups are accepting practices the Bible does not.
▶ 12:32 Prohibited us who believe in Bible morality and Bible truth from exercising our religion. Distorting civil rights by false comparisons. And moral crime is not the color of one’s skin an ethnic or cultural group a male or a female rich nor poor tall nor short thick or thin circumcised or not circumcised religious person or an atheist. These things does not hurt directly anyone. A criminal a sinner violates nature’s moral laws and that is in a preamble to the Constitution and the Bible moral laws that physically hurt innocent people and it is to be punished by civil rulers.
▶ 13:32 Spiritual harm is dealt with by teaching spiritual truths. But criminal harm immoral harm is dealt with by the punishment of the criminal. Crime is not a civil right. Crime is not to be authorized. And legislated. By our civil government church groups. Are accepting homosexual. People into membership. Marriages. And not only it’s homosexuals not accepted in the Bible but neither is adultery and fornication those things have to be changed.
