A Real Champion is a Genuine Server: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
Pastor David G. Kincer shows that Jesus, the champion of champions, came to serve and was ministered to without demanding. The women who followed him to the cross and tomb were first to see him risen. Worship, thanks and repentance are weapons; rulers in God’s kingdom serve, as Rehoboam’s elders advised; and simply obeying God’s word contends with the wicked.
What did Paul tell the troubled Corinthian church?
Short answer: The Corinthian church had division, incest and drunkenness at communion. Paul said be alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong, and let all you do be done in love—to the whole church, not just men.
▶ 0:00 The Corinthian church was in division. The Corinthian church had incest in it the Corinthian church got drunk at the communion table Paul is addressing all this stuff and then he wrote at the end he says be alert. Stand firm in the faith act like men conduct yourself like men I he’s talking to the whole church not just men but he’s using the man the brave full-grown courageous warrior man act behave like men get up out of this stuff get moving man be strong and let all that you do be done in love. Remember when we talked about Jesus.
Scripture in this part
1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (NKJV)
Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.
— 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:21 (quoted; reference not named in the message)How did Jesus show that a real champion serves?
Short answer: Matthew 20:28: the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and give his life a ransom for many. Luke 22:27: I am among you as one who serves.
▶ 0:54 He not only behaved like a man a champion as. We showed you he was the champion of champions the men of men but he also came to serve and gave us the illustration that a real champion is a genuine server. Matthew 20 verse 28 the son of man did not come to be served but to serve and give his life a ransom for many who is greater. he who sits at the table or he who serves. Then he answers is it not he who sits at the table.
Scripture in this part
Matthew 20:28 (NKJV)
just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
— Matthew 20:28 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:20Luke 22:27 (NKJV)
For who is greater, he who sits at the table, or he who serves? Is it not he who sits at the table? Yet I am among you as the One who serves.
— Luke 22:27 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 1:50 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What did foot washing teach?
Short answer: Washing feet was the lowest job; Jesus told Peter, if I don’t wash you, you have no part with me. He says it was an illustration of serving, not a church ritual—though widows on the church roll had to be 60, alone, of good report, and have washed the saints’ feet.
▶ 1:51 Yet I am among you as one who serves. This is the domestic servant the other one was the word for a deacon minister ok this is the domestic servant. Remember when Jesus was going to wash the disciples’ feet and Peter goes no way you’re not going to wash my feet and Jesus and that was the lowest Job in that time you know they wore sandals and so forth and their feet cuz they’re just dirty when they went into anybody’s house so they would wash their feet. And. Jesus told Peter if you don’t let me wash your feet you can have no part of me Peter says well don’t stop at the feet you did.
▶ 2:45 wash me so Jesus was giving them an illustration of how to serve it was not a ritual of the church to. Wash feet nowhere in the new testament in the book of acts did they have a foot washing ceremony ok. But ironically enough the. widows that were on the roll had several requirements they had to be 60 years old or above ok to get help from the church they had to have no family to provide for them no mom no dad no brothers no sisters no one okay their husband is dead their kids are gone and [unclear] they had to be alone all right and then.
Scripture in this part
John 13:8-9 (NKJV)
Peter said to Him, “You shall never wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.” Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!”
— John 13:8-9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 2:17 (quoted; reference not named in the message)1 Timothy 5:9-10 (NKJV)
Do not let a widow under sixty years old be taken into the number, and not unless she has been the wife of one man, well reported for good works: if she has brought up children, if she has lodged strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, if she has diligently followed every good work.
— 1 Timothy 5:9-10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 3:17 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Did Jesus demand to be served?
Short answer: He was ministered to without demanding, forcing or manipulating. He warns that some will go home and demand that other people serve them.
▶ 3:45 They had to wash the saints feet. Ok. And they had to have a good report of good works I mean it was tough getting on that roll back in the new testament [unclear] it’s easy getting on the government roll right now and say anything in fact I tested it and I signed up and they were going to give me benefits. And between me and my wife we make decent money but they were going to get no problem you need help sure. But we want to remind you that. Jesus was served he didn’t come to serve but he was served and he was ministered to without demanding.
Scripture in this part
Luke 8:3 (NKJV)
and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance.
— Luke 8:3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:43 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Who ministered to Jesus?
Short answer: Luke 8:2–3: women healed of evil spirits and infirmities—Mary Magdalene, Joanna wife of Herod’s steward, and many others—followed and ministered to him of their substance, and kept following after they were healed.
▶ 4:44 Without forcing or without manipulating. You see the problem with the teaching like this is some of you are going to go home and demand that other people serve you. All right that’s what happens did you hear that preacher this morning yeah [unclear]. You see he didn’t do that but he was served I’ll give you some examples. Luke 8:2 women healed of evil spirits and healed of infirmities and he names three of them Mary Magdalene and Joanna Herod’s steward someone from Herod’s household the ruler of the area and many others many other women that were healed of evil spirits and sicknesses and so forth.
▶ 5:46 followed and ministered to him of their substance they follow Jesus and they gave him the food to eat they washed his clothes they drew his bath water you know they were there. Serving that’s how Jesus fed his disciples and himself is these women. Boy women you should have said an amen right there you had your chance you you really missed it. And you notice they followed him and after they were healed and after they were ministered to they didn’t stop following him.
Scripture in this part
Luke 8:2-3 (NKJV)
and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities—Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons, and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance.
— Luke 8:2-3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:44Did the women keep following when things got dark?
Short answer: Matthew 27–28: they followed him to the cross and came to the tomb to anoint his body, asking who would roll the stone away. They were the first to meet the risen Jesus, fell at his feet and worshiped, and were sent to tell the disciples.
▶ 6:42 They didn’t wait for some other need to come by to go chase Jesus down again they followed him and he taught more than anything so they wanted to hear his teachings now in Matthew chapter 27 toward the end of the chapter and Matthew 28:1 many of these women that ministered and followed Jesus.. Followed him to the cross when he was arrested and he was taken and beaten and that cross put on his shoulders and he went to Calvary to be crucified they were there even when things weren’t good they followed Jesus. No healing going on no devils being cast out no teaching no nothing they just follow Jesus no matter how dark the situation got they followed Jesus ain’t that something and that’s.
▶ 7:50 The kind of commitment God is looking for all of us they followed him. Not only that Jesus was put in the tomb and some of these same women on Sunday morning after the Sabbath was over went to the tomb to anoint his body for burial see they’re still ministering he’s dead and they’re still going to minister to him his body had not been washed and anointed with with spices and so forth as they did back then and they were going to go do it and it’s so ironic because on the way they’re talking to one another and they said you know who’s going to roll that stone away for us. I mean they’re all excited about doing something for Jesus and on the way and they didn’t stop they just kept going who’s gonna roll that stone away they knew they couldn’t but that didn’t stop them and these people will say well you got to have faith [unclear] listen they had a love for Jesus a commitment to Jesus that’s way above it.
▶ 9:02 Alleluia. These are the first people That met with Jesus after he rose from the grave these women that followed him ministered to him they were the first ones of all human being. To have an encounter with Jesus after he rose from the dead ain’t that beautiful and what did they do oh boy wait I go back and tell the church this man oh man what did they do they fell down got on their knees grabbed him by his feet and worshiped him.
Scripture in this part
Matthew 27:55-56 (NKJV)
And many women who followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to Him, were there looking on from afar, among whom were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee’s sons.
— Matthew 27:55-56 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:55Matthew 28:1 (NKJV)
Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.
— Matthew 28:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:59Matthew 28:9-10 (NKJV)
And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Rejoice!” So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me.”
— Matthew 28:9-10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 9:51Why is worship a weapon?
Short answer: Praise and worship are vital weapons against principalities and powers; we need to worship, praise and give thanks rather than debate and argue.
▶ 9:55 Hallelujah now they didn’t go say hey with the first with the first oh boy we’re something yeah. They worshiped him and Jesus says you go tell my disciples they’re the first ones that got the first message after the resurrection. The big bad apostles. They’re in a room with their knees knocking and their teeth are chattering. But these women why what they did before was just normal to do afterward when is the American church going to learn that praise and worship is a vital part of our weapons against the principalities and powers of darkness and following.
What happened when Job encountered God?
Short answer: Job blamed God for losses Satan caused. When God spoke, Job said: I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you, and I repent in dust and ashes. Repentance is a weapon: he is faithful and just to forgive.
▶ 10:48 Jesus and ministering to him is a tremendous. Weapon against the powers of darkness. [unclear] we want to debate debate debate and arguing arguing argue we need to worship worship worship praise praise praise thanks thanks. Job was a righteous man upright perfect.. Yet he blamed God for losing his kids losing his income and losing his help and it wasn’t God that did it it was Satan and so God came and said Job.
▶ 11:35 Job I got some words to say to you and when God got through talking Job said what I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear but now my eyes see you now God was invisible there but his spiritual eyes were open and I repent in sackcloth and ashes folks we got to get out of the head knowledge of Christ and into the spiritual knowledge of Christ that encounter when Job had an encounter he repented of blaming God he hadn’t done anything wrong up to that point but when he had an encounter with Jesus. He repented.
Scripture in this part
Job 42:5-6 (NKJV)
“I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You. Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes.”
— Job 42:5-6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 11:46 (quoted; reference not named in the message)1 John 1:9 (NKJV)
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
— 1 John 1:9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 12:28 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does the Samaritan leper teach about thanks?
Short answer: Ten lepers were healed on the way to the priests; only the Samaritan turned back, fell at Jesus’ feet and thanked him. He says it’s one out of ten in America. Offer the sacrifice of praise, the fruit of our lips giving thanks.
▶ 12:29 Alleluia I mean no repentance is a good weapon for us well I tell you I wore that one out as a young Christian let me tell you I was glad it was there the enemy could never get ahold of me because I knew the power of repentance when you ask God to forgive you he is faithful and just to forgive you cleanse you and deliver you so don’t bother me anymore Satan about this issue. Amen I’m working on it. Amen. The Samaritan leper wasn’t even a Jew ten lepers were alongside the road Jesus have mercy on us you know what do you want me to do cleanse us Jesus says go show yourselves to the priest that’s all he said no laying on of hands no.
▶ 13:25 Now that just go show yourself to the priest and these ten lepers and this guy’s not even a Jew. they’re off showing themselves to the priests I’m a Samaritan can’t even see the priests you understand that. Yeah he’s gonna get kicked out when he goes down there gonna be stopped right [unclear] am I right but on the way they began to realize they were healed. But the Samaritan goes wow turned around went back fell at Jesus’s feet and thanked him. for healing only one out of 10 and that’s where it is in America. one out of ten [unclear] thanks see the fruit of our lips giving thanks we bring the sacrifice of praise the fruit of our lips giving thanks unto him thanks for what my name is written in the book of life isn’t that what Jesus said yeah thank God praise God just because your names written in the book of life you’re saved from sin you’re going to go to heaven you’re going to have eternal life thank him thank you Lord thank you Lord thank you Lord can you ever wear it out no and it’s not for his purposes it’s for you so you are reminded and you get strong in it hallelujah.
Scripture in this part
Luke 17:12-18 (NKJV)
Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?”
— Luke 17:12-18 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 13:12 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Hebrews 13:15 (NKJV)
Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
— Hebrews 13:15 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:27 (quoted; reference not named in the message)How do we minister back to Jesus?
Short answer: It’s a reasonable exchange: he ministers to us, and we minister to him with tithes and offerings, lifting holy hands, singing, shouting, clapping, kneeling, instruments, prayer and fasting. Anna, an 84-year-old widow, served God with fastings and prayers.
▶ 15:00 Reasonable exchange Jesus serves and ministers to us spiritual things also natural things you know your jobs and so forth and your health is also attributed to the divine. hand of God over you you’ll learn that as you get older and yeah yeah. We in turn it’s just the reasonable exchange we in turn minister to him both natural our tithes and our offerings so that programs go and go on like Friday night man we had kids excited they had a sleepover teenagers excited they had horses and so we give our tithes and offerings but also their spiritual things. I will that men everywhere lift up holy hands without wrath or doubting okay.
▶ 15:59 sing unto God. Shout unto God with a voice of triumph clap your hands all you people those are spiritual weapons. Hallelujah kneel before the Lord your God and maker does God have an ego trip he wants us to kneel or is it because that breaks the outward man enough. Yeah it breaks the hard heart these are things that when we got pride in ourselves it’s hard for us to do. shout unto God with the voice of triumph [unclear]. Are you with me instruments the Bible is very strong on musical instruments and singing. When we do it the Bible way that’s how the world knows who we are.
▶ 16:55 Christians raise their hands Christian play instrument they come into the house with singing into his courts with praise you know they make a joyful noise unto God that’s our way. We’re not a depressed group. Amen. I’ll. Prayer I don’t care if you feel like God’s listening or not pray dummy he will hear it. You don’t have to pray like the great prayer just pray alright fast in fact we see it. First Corinthians 9:11 that’s the disciples the apostles wrote if we have sown spiritual things to you is it a great thing if we reap your material things but look at this Anna 84-year-old woman widowed.
▶ 17:55 served God how Fasting and prayers in the temple see just going to assemble together is. Destroying the enemy it’s a weapon of warfare just assembling together God blesses that then you pray he blesses it again and you put some fasting into it through the week and he blesses it again and then you praise him and he blesses it again and then you thank him and he just keeps rising higher and higher why because you’re operating the principles of God and God honors it. Hallelujah and that will make you a man yes. Unwavering unshakable.

I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting;

— Luke 2:37 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:55 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Does Jesus invite us to serve him?
Short answer: The Father seeks those who worship in spirit and truth. John 12:26: if anyone serves me, let him follow me; where I am my servant will be; if anyone serves me, my Father will honor him.
▶ 18:48 you’ve met them nothing shakes them nothing moved them. The Bible says that the father is seeking such to worship him in spirit and truth he’s looking for worshippers. Spirit and truth the Bible by the Bible way with the spirit involved now. Jesus did invite people to serve and minister to him even though he said I didn’t come to be served I come to serve. John 12:26 if any man serve me that’s an invitation ain’t it if any person man there’s person if anybody anyone serves me and let him follow me wasn’t that what the women were doing they were following and where I am my servant will be if any man serve me my father will what honor.
▶ 19:52 Alleluia [unclear] to the godhead here. You follow Jesus the father will honor you alleluia I am a father I am a son and I am a husband I am three people in one and so are most of you all right I can’t have intimate relationships with my children I’m their father I have intimate relationships as a husband and I right yeah. Hallelujah. Don’t diminish them please they all have their part and they’re still one.
Scripture in this part
John 4:23 (NKJV)
But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
— John 4:23 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 19:00 (quoted; reference not named in the message)John 12:26 (NKJV)

— John 12:26 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 18:48How will we know Jesus when he returns?
Short answer: He says Jesus returns in the body he had on earth, and we’ll know him by the nail scars, as Thomas wanted to touch the scars to know it was the real risen Jesus.
▶ 20:48 When you get to heaven in fact when Jesus returns he’s coming in the body that he had here on earth you realize that bodily that’s God in a fleshly body can be here on earth with God up in heaven on the throne are you with me alleluia and when we see him we’re going to know him because of that body those holes in his hands those scars on his head and that spear slicing through it we’re gonna know that’s him that’s him am I right ain’t that what Thomas said he said unless I touch the nail scars in his hands [unclear] I’m not going to believe why he wanted to know that this was the real Jesus that rose from the grave he is back amen most people [unclear] doubting Thomas [unclear] no he wanted the real Jesus man amen and that’s how we’re going to know when Jesus comes back we’re going to know him by that physical body with no blood in it alleluia ah.
Scripture in this part
John 20:25 (NKJV)
The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”
— John 20:25 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 21:31 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What is the Bible’s view of rulers?
Short answer: Luke 22:25–26: the kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship and are called benefactors; not so among you—the greatest should be as the younger, and he who governs as he who serves. When you serve, it’s easy for people to serve back.
▶ 22:08 The Bible view of civil rulers church rulers family rulers economic rulers. This is the Bible’s definition you ready. Luke 22:25 kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship dominion over them and authority over them control they want to control you ain’t that what the government of America wants to do right now yes yeah I mean from the time I was a young whippersnapper in the 50s to now America’s change almost 180 degrees I mean it’s it’s just amazing. And then they are called benefactors because you know they’re helping you you need help with money yet we’ll give you money you need help [unclear] okay we’ll slap him with a fine yeah yeah.
▶ 23:12 Then we go oh. Lordship authority ship benefactor. Benefactor one who aids have you know God wants us to take care of ourselves. Not so among you on the contrary just the opposite he who is greatest let him be as the younger you see kids are under the authority of their parent and do what their parents say and the parent should be doing everything for that kid that makes it safe and healthy for them amen. See so what are they saying the greatest among you should be acting like the younger [unclear] okay I’ll do that okay I know that’s serving and then.
▶ 24:12 He makes it clear he who governs rules as he who what serves. You see when you serve it’s easy for people to serve back when you manipulate and demand. [unclear] the head of a home here. [unclear] ain’t no man going to tell me what to do. But when you serve. When you meet their needs. Then it’s easy for them to serve you back. doesn’t that sound like a good Bible principle isn’t our government designed from our founding fathers to be a servant to the American people and we’ve gotten away from it they’re not serving us anymore they’re telling us to shut up they know what’s best and we better follow it that’s where we’re at in America right now.
Scripture in this part
Luke 22:25-26 (NKJV)
And He said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and those who exercise authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’ But not so among you; on the contrary, he who is greatest among you, let him be as the younger, and he who governs as he who serves.
— Luke 22:25-26 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 22:25What did Rehoboam’s elders advise?
Short answer: 1 Kings 12:7: if you will be a servant to this people today, serve them, answer them and speak good words, they will be your servants forever. Serving works in homes, between parents and children, and toward Christ.
▶ 25:20 Okay let’s go to first Kings chapter 12 verse 7 here’s Rehoboam king.. Solomon was his father was king before him and Solomon taxed the people very heavily to build the temple and his own home now I know God said to build the temple but I didn’t see anywhere where God said to build his own palace but anyway he built it all right and Solomon died his son became heir to the throne and the people come to Rehoboam and they say listen we’ve had decades of heavy taxation we needed let up we need it gone I mean oh that’s a reasonable request.
▶ 26:13 They paid a high price and you know they want to get back to normal life and Rehoboam goes to the younger ones the young counselor and they said tell them that your finger’s thicker than your dad’s thigh and you’re going to tax them or you’re going to be tougher and the older one says this tremendous statement all right if you will be a servant to these people today and serve them and answer them they’re asking you to reduce the taxes they got a reasonable reason you need to give them what they’re asking for. All right and speak good words kind words to them.
▶ 27:11 Amen. Will that work in a home between a husband and wife yeah will that work between parents and children absolutely here’s the result they will be your servants forever if you serve them they’re going to serve you. Doesn’t that make sense yeah Christ died for us rose from the grave gave us resurrection life. Empowered us to live for him isn’t it just reasonable that we serve him back. he forgives us of our sin and some of us are knuckleheads we keep doing it over and over and he keeps forgiving us shouldn’t we keep serving him over and over ain’t that just logical. Alleluia but someone in the relationships have to be the [unclear].
Scripture in this part
1 Kings 12:7 (NKJV)
And they spoke to him, saying, “If you will be a servant to these people today, and serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be your servants forever.”
— 1 Kings 12:7 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 25:21How is obeying God’s word spiritual warfare?
Short answer: John 14:15: if you love me, keep my commandments. Proverbs 28:4: those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but such as keep the law contend with them. Working, staying faithful, loving your spouse and raising your kids is warfare.
▶ 28:06 I want to tell you like it is. Hello church. We need to start acting like men strong. Firm in the faith alert and serve those who we want to do things we need to do things for them. Hallelujah. Now remember he’s not just talking about a man here he’s talking to the whole church right all right a servant a good servant behaves like a champion warrior. And they make this very simple to you Jesus said if you love me you’ll keep my commandments in John 14:15.
▶ 29:04 if you love me you’ll what obey his commandments the word of God the word of God then we go to Proverbs 28:4.. And we have a tremendous key to turn America around family members around communities around tremendous key here unlocks a lot of things you are worried about frustrated about and everything else they that forsake the law God’s word. Don’t obey it praise the wicked now we’re not talking about the shadow law that Jesus fulfilled we’re talking about civil law no adultery no stealing. no false witness six days shalt thou work.
▶ 29:58 [unclear] are you there no greed alright. Honor your parents if you. Keep those things the civil law did not change when Paul said were not under law were under grace he was not talking about civil laws he’s talking about the shadow laws and he wasn’t talking about wise laws wise laws is the wise man sees the danger coming and avoids it the wise man prepares for the day of calamity he saves another scripture says the wise men saves up whereas the fool spends everything he’s got now you won’t go to hell for spending everything you got but you’re going to be hurting here see that’s a wise law and then you got spiritual laws if I confess my sins he is faithful and just to forgive me of my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness a man that’s a spiritual law if I admit it and I repent he is faithful to forgive me I need those spiritual laws were still under.
▶ 31:18 Amen. But look at the next part but such as keep the law contend with the wicked they’re at war with the wicked they’re in a struggle with the wicked why because they’re obeying the word and it exposes the wicked and the wicked doesn’t like it so they want to shut you up if you’re not obeying the word you’re no problem to the wicked. Do you get it if you love me you’ll keep my word and keeping my word is automatic warfare to the principalities and powers of darkness and the wicked children that he has here on earth do you see that very clear so see when you’re obeying God’s word you’re doing warfare [unclear] and there’s nothing wrong with travailing there’s a time for travailing but warfare is more than just travailing and crying out to God when you’re working at a Job you are doing warfare why because you’re obeying the word.
▶ 32:29 Amen yeah. When you’re staying faithful to your wife or your husband and sexual relationships you’re doing warfare why because you’re obeying the word. Now our obedient behavior to God’s word opposes and wars with the behavior of the wicked while we enjoy serving Jesus. I mean all I got to do is love Rebecca and I’m doing warfare that’s pretty easy to do.. She’s got a lot of things to give back in return. About this transcript
This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added from the speaker’s pauses and then corrected by hand, and obvious caption errors (names, Bible references) were fixed; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor notes: Points to check: at 3:45 he says “Jesus was served he didn’t come to serve” (an evident slip; kept as spoken); Luke 8:2 said to name three women while two are named; Proverbs 28:4 spoken as “20 84”; foot washing as a requirement for widows; Solomon not commanded to build his palace; Jesus returning in a body “with no blood in it”; Trinity compared to being father, son and husband. Sensitive content kept as spoken: signing up for government benefits as a test; government of America wants to control you; women who say no man will tell them what to do.
