A Phenomenal Event: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
In “A Phenomenal Event,” Pastor David G. Kincer begins with Isaiah 10:1-3 and says leaders who make unrighteous laws will face God’s judgment. He then teaches Isaiah 11, the seven spirits of the Holy Spirit, the judgment of the Branch from Jesse, and the phenomenal event of the wolf dwelling with the lamb, which he links to the remnant, Isaiah 65 and the nations rallying to Jesus. He ends with praise in that day in Isaiah 12.
What does Isaiah 10:1-3 say about leaders who make unrighteous laws?
Short answer: He reads “Woe to those who decree unrighteous, grievous decrees” and says laws are important for both the civil and the spiritual arena, because right laws protect the innocent and punish those who harm society and the church. He says prominent people have made unrighteous rules, such as saying that all roads lead to the same God, and that no minister or president has a right to say that.
▶ 0:00 This next verse, Isaiah 10, verses 1 through 3. Woe to those who decree unrighteous, grievous decrees. Woe to those who make laws that are grievous, rules that are grievious. And I have these prominent people up there because they have made some laws that are unrighteous and grievious. Some rules. Uh laws are important folks both for the civil and the spiritual arena. When right laws are enforced, the innocent are protected and the evil that harm members of society, harm members of the church are punished to correct or remove them so they don’t hurt. And uh some of the laws these guys have made, Osteen or I’m sorry, Bush, Obama, and Oprah, they say that all roads lead to the same God.
▶ 1:06 In other words, Jesus is not the only God. There’s other gods or there’s other ways to get to the same God other than the Bible way and Jesus Christ. And that is an unrighteous law. No minister has a right to say that. No president. And both of these claim to be Christians. And I’m using a prominent people. You know, Oprah is living with a man in sexual immorality. And yet acting like she knows the Bible and she knows how to get to God. Uh Obama and Bush both say the Bible is not a book of truth but a book of faith. Okay, I got them on video and I’ve showed them to you. So I I you know got their own words.
▶ 1:58 I got the evidence. Uh homosexuals are accept is an acceptable lifestyle and they’re born that way. Unions are okay. They can get married or whatever. Osteen, Warren, uh, Oprah, Obama, the Pope, just declared that he is for homosexuals, uh, unions. And folks, we cannot change the Bible. That’s just unrighteous laws. And the Bible says, “Woe to these people.” And you and and if prominent people are doing it, how many unprominent people are doing? And I brought you the prominent ones, civil leaders, big megachurch leaders, the pope himself, uh alcohol addiction, pedophilia, uh and other things like that is not a crime.
▶ 2:50 It’s a disease. And that’s what the medical professional people are telling us. All drugs, including alcohol, should be legalized. Libertarians and liberals are promoting this in America. If if you accept God’s grace, you go to heaven. This is what Rick Warren just said on television, if you accept God’s grace, you go to heaven. It doesn’t matter. And they were talking about, do homosexuals, do Muslims go to heaven and so forth. Okay. So, what he’s saying is, and Rick Warren is a Southern Baptist minister, or at least was one. And that’s where he went to school and all that stuff. But he’s changing God’s word to an unrighteous, grievious word.
Scripture in this part
Isaiah 10:1-3 (NKJV)
“Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, Who write misfortune, Which they have prescribed To rob the needy of justice, And to take what is right from the poor of My people, That widows may be their prey, And that they may rob the fatherless. What will you do in the day of punishment, And in the desolation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory?
— Isaiah 10:1-3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:05Does he say the message is repentance rather than only believing?
Short answer: He says if you reject God’s grace you go to hell, and that leaders should not avoid telling people they are sinners or leave out repentance. He says repentance is the message, not only a relationship with Christ or worship and praise, and that belief should bring you to repentance.
▶ 3:45 And you cannot do that. So if you’re a homosexual, you’re adulter, you’re a thief, you’re a murderer, you’re a Muslim, you know, you’re a Hindu, it doesn’t matter. If you accept God’s grace, you’re going to go to heaven. And if you reject God’s grace, you’re going to go to hell. That’s an unrighteous law. And woe to those who make unrighteous laws. Don’t tell people, all of them, except the presidents up there, don’t tell people they’re bad. Don’t tell people that they’re sinful. They don’t want to hear it. If you want to build a big church, don’t tell people they’re wrong. Don’t tell people to repent. And Rick Warren just said when he was interviewed that he teaches repentance in a disguised way.
▶ 4:41 You know, he doesn’t use the word repentance because that turns people off. That was his words on national television. Okay, I’m just And I’m not picking on these guys. They open their mouth. I got a right to open my mouth too. Ain’t that right? And especially if I can use the Bible as the source, as the standard of measurement, then I have a right to preach truth. And repentance is the message, folks. It’s not a relationship with Christ. It’s not worship and praise. It’s repentance. Can I hear an amen? Yes. Except you repent, you shall all likewise perish. It doesn’t say unless you believe, you will all likewise perish. The demons believe, the Bible says, and they’re they’re going to burn in the lake of fire.
▶ 5:36 Your belief should bring you to repentance. Amen. Hallelujah. And so Isaiah’s hitting it. You know, Isaiah is looking way down the road through the revelation of God and hitting this right on the head. Now, he goes on to say, “Turn us, they turn aside the needy of judgment.” They don’t give the needy right judgment, right justice. And uh judgment will punish the evildoer and honor the good doer. Now when I was debating or not debating, I was I was um protesting the homosexual protest against Chick-fil-A.
Scripture in this part
Luke 13:3 (NKJV)
I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.
— Luke 13:3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:00 (quoted; reference not named in the message)James 2:19 (NKJV)
You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!
— James 2:19 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 5:25 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What is the Bible definition of sin?
Short answer: He says the Bible definition of sin is breaking the law of God, not just missing the mark. He says the wages of breaking God’s law is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, and he argues that a government calling something legal does not make it morally right.
▶ 6:32 The reporter came up to me and says, ‘Wh... on your sign do you have homosexual is a crime. They are criminals. And I said, ‘ Because they are violating a moral law. And when you violate a moral law, you are a criminal. The Bible uses the word sinner. Today we use the word criminal. It’s the same word. It’s the violation of the word. You see, Joel Osteen just says that sin is missing the mark. That’s the word definition of sin. But the Bible definition of sin is you break the law of God in First John. That’s the Bible definition of the use of the word for sin. Are you with me?
▶ 7:23 And so when we violate God’s word, we break God’s law. We’ve sinned. It’s not just missing the mark like, oh well, you know, you’re going to heaven. You’re just going to come up short. No, you broke God’s law. The wages of breaking God’s law is death. But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Okay? So I told him, I said, “Listen, if our government says that murder is okay, does that make it okay? I mean, you know, okay, we can go out here and just murder people. I don’t like you anymore. Pow. Oh, no, no, no, no. I said, why? Because it’s a immoral thing to do. It’s breaking the the ride of truth. What is naturally true, you just know naturally you can’t go around killing people.
▶ 8:18 Amen. Amen. He says, “And the government passes a law that you can take what belongs to someone else. If they’re not looking and they’re not protecting it, you take it. You get to keep it.” Hey. Oh, no. No, no, no, no. I go, “Why?” Because it’s a moral law. We know in our conscience things that are morally wrong. Amen. If they pass a law that you can rape, you want to have sex, just any girl comes along. Hey, come on. I have a right to have sex with you. Or now a boy, you know, I want to have sex with a boy. Yeah, I have a right. I said, did that make it right? He says, no. I said, why? Because it’s morally wrong. I said, now our government says homosexuality is okay.
▶ 9:11 That doesn’t make it morally right. It’s still morally wrong and it is a crime that should be punished and be corrected. Amen. Now, that was good preaching. All right. And so, in our courts and in our laws, we need laws and a court that will hold people responsible and be told that they are wrong. Ministers need to be telling people that are wrong, they are wrong. Can I hear an amen? And if people don’t want to come to church, that is their decision. But you can’t change the church into, you know, what everybody believes is okay and wrong is right and right is wrong. You can’t change the church because people don’t want to embrace by the Bible and and Jesus Christ.
Scripture in this part
1 John 3:4 (NKJV)
Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.
— 1 John 3:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 6:50 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Romans 6:23 (NKJV)
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
— Romans 6:23 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:40 (quoted; reference not named in the message)How does God view a nation that takes what is right from the poor?
Short answer: He says there are two kinds of poor, the natural poor who need food and clothing and the spiritual poor, and that the poor in America need jobs. He says a nation that follows God can sustain itself, and that God blesses the nation that serves him so that other nations see it pays to serve God.
▶ 10:04 Amen. Hallelujah. Then he says to take what is right from the poor of my people. Now there’s two kinds of poor. We mentioned it to you all the time. There’s a natural poor. They need food and clothing and so forth. And then there’s the spiritual poor. Okay? They take what is right from the poor. In America, the poor need a job. And our government in the ‘90s decided to ship millions of jobs overseas. And every year we shipped a million or more jobs overseas because we wanted a worldwide economy. Folks, the problem with that is it’s not Bible. Bible is he will bless the nation that serves him.
▶ 10:59 And a nation can literally sustain itself without the help of the nations by following God. Are you there? Amen. But like Jehoshaphat who joined forces with the wicked and God comes and says, “Why are you uniting with those that don’t love me?” You see, God will bless us to show the nations that it pays to serve God and do what’s right. We don’t need a world economy and we don’t need to police the world. If we will keep our faith in God as our money does say and as our pledge of allegiance does say, if we really do that, God will honor us as a nation and the other nations will want the source of the blessings that we’re getting and that is from God.
▶ 12:05 Yes. Hallelujah. So we call it humanitarianism. And now Barack Obama just said, “We need to get those jobs back.” Well, why don’t you guys admit you were wrong? Both you Republicans and you Democrats, you’re the ones that decided. Why don’t you admit you’re wrong instead of I’m going to bring the jobs back like you’re some guru that’s going to bring change. How many know a president can’t do nothing without Congress legally? A president can say anything he wants, but without Congress, he ain’t going to do beans. And so why why don’t they admit they were wrong in a lot of things? Shipping jobs overseas, saying homosexuality is okay, uh giving welfare to pregnant unmarried women, and the more kids they got, the more money we give them.
Scripture in this part
2 Chronicles 19:2 (NKJV)
And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to King Jehoshaphat, “Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the LORD? Therefore the wrath of the LORD is upon you.
— 2 Chronicles 19:2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 11:30 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does he say about the widow, the fatherless and government help?
Short answer: He says the government gives money to people without telling them to repent and change their life, and that this rewards wrong. He then reads Isaiah 10:3, “What will you do in the day of punishment,” and says God can use plagues, wars, economic downturns or famines to judge a nation, and that moral principles are what let God bless a nation.
▶ 13:06 Come on. They need to admit they’re wrong because the morality of America has gone downhill since they made these kind of laws. Amen. The widow and the fatherless. You got the up on your upper right hand screen, you got the picture of a deadbeat dad. He just goes around getting girls pregnant and going on and getting another one pregnant. And then you got the deadbeat mother. She got a syringe in her hands cuz she’s on drugs and you know she’ll have sex just to get a fix and and you know then she has kids and it’s just a mess. And the government comes along and gives her money. They don’t tell her to change her life to repent, turn around. They just give her money and humanitarian a social program.
▶ 13:59 Boy, we’re really doing great because we care. Because boy, we put billions of dollars into these uh uh children that are abused, these addicts and all that. We put millions. Look at us. We’re so great. No, you would be great if you told them they were wrong and not reward them for being wrong. Can I hear an amen? Isaiah was right here, folks. And so God then says through Isaiah, “What will you do in the day of punishment?” and desolation from afar. Now, he’s talking about Assyria coming in through war and destroying the nation and taking them captive. Okay? God can use plagues. God can use wars. God can use economic downturns or even famines.
▶ 14:50 God can use things to judge a nation and a group of people. And he says, ‘What are you going to do, you that make these bad laws when I get involved and bring you down as a nation? There was nothing they could do. They went into captivity to Assyria. They went in to slavery. And America, I’m telling you, we won’t even be able to defeat Mexico who has a military that’s like a boy scout troop. When God decides to bring us down, you guys understand that when God decides something, jet planes and atomic bombs is not going to save us. Are you there? See, that’s why as a nation, we need to focus on moral principles, Bible morality, promote them and live them so God can bless us.
Scripture in this part
Isaiah 10:3 (NKJV)
What will you do in the day of punishment, And in the desolation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory?
— Isaiah 10:3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 14:20What are the seven spirits of the Holy Spirit in Isaiah 11?
Short answer: He says the Branch from the stump of Jesse is Jesus, and the seven spirits are the spirit of the Lord, wisdom, understanding, counsel, power, knowledge and the fear of the Lord. He says Revelation also speaks of the seven spirits of God sent into all the earth, and that being full of the Holy Ghost means you have the whole thing.
▶ 15:50 Now, he goes on in Isaiah 11, verses 1 and 2 and talks about a subject dear to my heart. He’s going to talk about the Holy Ghost. A shoot shall come up from the stump of Jesse and his roots a branch shall bear fruit. Now Jesse is the father of David who the Messiah was supposed to come through and Jesus came through the bloodline of Jesse, David, Judah and on through down the line. Okay? And his name, the Bible says, is called the branch. We never use that name. It’s kind of comical. I bring it up every once in a while, but his name is the branch. Uh and he will bear fruit. Then he says the spirit of the Lord will rest upon him.
▶ 16:42 The spirit’s going to rest upon him. And then he defines this spirit. And why the church in America argues about the baptism of Holy Ghost is just beyond my cranial understanding. When the Holy Ghost is a prominent member of God, he is God. God is Jesus. Jesus is God. And why we want to fight over this Holy Ghost just blows my mind. But here are seven spirits of the Holy Spirit. Are you ready? How many? Seven. Seven. Okay. First, there’s the spirit of the Lord. Okay? Secondly, there’s the spirit of wisdom.
▶ 17:34 And when you read your New Testament, these spirits are listed in the New Testament. I have not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and a sound mind. Yes. Uh the spirit of understanding. How many could use understanding in moral things and just Yeah. A daily thing. Yeah. How many could really use some wisdom from above that is first peaceable, gentle, full of mercy, good fruits. Yeah. Counsel. How many would love to have the Holy Ghost advising you instead of your friends who don’t know beans? Yeah. See, this spirit is broken down so we can understand it and we fight over it. It just drives me crazy.
▶ 18:27 Okay. The spirit of power, strength. See, I’ve not given you a spirit of fear, but of what? Power. You see, of love. That’s the spirit of the Lord. God is love. God is a spirit. They’re giving you a spirit of power, of love, and a sound disciplined mind. That’s that fear of the Lord. That self-control that’s part of the Holy Ghost, knowledge, and the fear of the Lord. Now, folks, I don’t have a problem with any of those seven. I need them all. How about you? Amen. Amen. And yet we want to shove the Holy Ghost out with all of his expressions or we know we want to limit him to just tongues or or prophecy or for education.
▶ 19:34 You know this Holy Ghost being full of the Holy Ghost means you got the whole thing. Hallelujah. When a glass is full, it’s full of water, right? Not a quarter full. I tell you, all of us could use this. And I want to show you, it’s offered to you. Revelations 1:4, the seven spirits before his throne. How many spirits are before the throne of Jesus? Seven. How many spirits did he talk about in Isaiah? Seven. Okay. In Revelations 3:1, these things say he that has the seven spirits of God. How many spirits does Jesus have? Seven. All right. Now, Revelations 5:6, the seven spirits of God are sent forth to all the earth.
Scripture in this part
Isaiah 11:1-2 (NKJV)
There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.
— Isaiah 11:1-2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 15:502 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
— 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 17:34 (quoted; reference not named in the message)Revelation 1:4 (NKJV)
John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne,
— Revelation 1:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 19:50Revelation 3:1 (NKJV)
“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.
— Revelation 3:1 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 20:05Revelation 5:6 (NKJV)
And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
— Revelation 5:6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 20:18How does Jesus judge according to Isaiah 11:3-4?
Short answer: He says Jesus delights in the fear of the Lord and judges what is right, not by what he sees or hears, and is not partial to the rich or the poor. He says Jesus examines accusers thoroughly and punishes the wicked by his word, and that God through the Bible instituted capital punishment.
▶ 20:29 It’s not just in heaven. He has sent them forth into all the earth. And we can be a wise and understanding, knowledgeable, strong, moral, powerful people. Folks, all I can do is preach it to you. You got to reach out and get it. You got to pursue it. I highly recommend the Holy Ghost to people. Very highly. All right. Now, we get into in that day. Okay. Isaiah 11:3-4. He will delight in the fear of the Lord. This guy that had the Holy Ghost upon him with seven spirits, Jesus.
▶ 21:20 The fear of the Lord is the depart from evil and hate evil. He will not judge and decide by what he sees with his eyes or hears with his ears. He’s not impartial to the rich. Not in partial to the poor and it doesn’t matter if you’re rich to poor to him. Nothing moves him. He’s going to judge what is right. Period. And he’s going to examine all accusers thoroughly. And if they bring a false accusation, then what they wanted done to the one they were accusing will be done to them. That’s what the Bible says. And that’s the kind of judgment Jesus has. Hallelujah. You’re excited this morning. I can tell you’re so glad you came to church. With righteousness and justice, he will judge the needy and the poor of the earth.
▶ 22:15 You know, the poor don’t have any excuse to live immorally. They got to follow Bible morality just like anybody else. Amen. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth and with the branch of his lips he will slay the wicked. He’s going to punish by his word. He’s going to discipline the wicked. He’s not like those in America who won’t give capital punishment anymore because it’s cruel and inhumane. But it’s okay for the girl to be raped, her arms cut off, her legs cut off, and left to die. That’s not inhumane, but so we won’t want to kill this guy. Are you there?
▶ 23:07 They got it on video. They got things recorded. I mean, there’s there’s absolute guilt and they still don’t have the courage to execute people. And the Bible is who God through the Bible instituted capital punishment. It was God. Now you’re going to go up there in heaven and say, “God, you really messed up, you know, telling us to kill people that killed other people.” You’re going to tell him that makes no sense. God is never wrong. Can I hear an amen? Now, here comes this phenomenal event in that day. All right, this is just absolutely remarkable.
Scripture in this part
Isaiah 11:3-5 (NKJV)
His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist.
— Isaiah 11:3-5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 20:29What is the phenomenal event of the wolf dwelling with the lamb?
Short answer: He reads Isaiah 11 about the wolf living with the lamb and the child playing near the cobra’s nest, and says the holy mountain is the church, where there is unity and no war. He says the root of Jesse is Jesus Christ and the nations will rally to him, not to celebrities, pastors or presidents.
▶ 24:00 The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard with the goat, the calf, the lion, and the yearling will all be together. The child will play on the cobra’s nest. Wow. And I know you already got this figured out, but I’m going to show you through the scriptures something this morning, okay? Because I know most of you listen to radio, read Christian books, and I know what those books say. A little child will lead them. The lion will eat straw and the snake will eat dust. Okay, this is phenomenal.
▶ 24:56 Let us continue. Isaiah 11:6, they will neither hurt nor harm nor destroy and all my holy mountain. What is his holy mountain? The church. For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. So here we have unity in the church. We have a lack of war in the church. Remember we showed you in Isaiah before that they’re going not not going to learn war anymore. They’re going to turn their swords into plowshares and so forth. Now he’s picking up on this again. In that day, the root of Jesse will stand as a banner of the people. Who’s the root of Jesse? Jesus Christ. The nations will rally to him.
▶ 25:50 The nations will rally to him and his place of rest will be glorious. Where is his place of rest? The church. Yeah. The nations will rally to him. Not Osteen, not Rick Warren, not the presidents, not entertainers who think they know something. They’re going to rally to who? Jesus. Jesus. Have we seen that yet? No. And they’re saying Jesus can come any minute. I don’t think so. I think our big God has a big plan that he’s up to in a big way and we’re going to be astonished when he starts doing his thing in the last day. In that day, the Lord will reach out his hand a second time.
▶ 26:51 A second time. So if there’s a second time, there had to be a first time. Yes, we talked about this before. To reclaim the remnant. What’s the word? Remnant. Say it again. Remnant. Very important. These words are very important because they’re keys that unlock the scriptures. Okay? It’s not just anybody. He is reclaiming. It’s the remnant that is left of his people from the four quarters of the earth. Four quarters of the earth. All right. He goes on to say there’s no jealousy, no hostility between Judah and Ephraim. There’s unity in the church. Hallelujah. That would be wonderful. You know, we just make up our own rules and our own rituals and our own ceremonies.
Scripture in this part
Isaiah 11:6-10 (NKJV)
“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them. The cow and the bear shall graze; Their young ones shall lie down together; And the lion shall eat straw like the ox. The nursing child shall play by the cobra’s hole, And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper’s den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD As the waters cover the sea. “And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, Who shall stand as a banner to the people; For the Gentiles shall seek Him, And His resting place shall be glorious.”
— Isaiah 11:6-10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 24:00Isaiah 11:11-13 (NKJV)
It shall come to pass in that day That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time To recover the remnant of His people who are left, From Assyria and Egypt, From Pathros and Cush, From Elam and Shinar, From Hamath and the islands of the sea. He will set up a banner for the nations, And will assemble the outcasts of Israel, And gather together the dispersed of Judah From the four corners of the earth. Also the envy of Ephraim shall depart, And the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not envy Judah, And Judah shall not harass Ephraim.
— Isaiah 11:11-13 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 26:51Who is the remnant that God will reclaim a second time?
Short answer: He says there was a first remnant in Romans 11 and that the remnant is those who keep God’s word and have the testimony of Jesus in Revelation 12:17. He says someone who rejects Jesus does not qualify, and that Jesus must be in the equation along with obeying the word, not only faith and grace.
▶ 27:47 But there’s coming a day in that day you can’t do that because God’s going to be in control. And he said nothing about appearing. Nothing. Okay. Now the remnant Romans 11:4 and 5 I have reserved for myself 7,000 men who have not bowed their knee to Baal, using an Old Testament scripture. Even so then at this present time the writer of Romans says at this present time there is a what? Remnant according to the election of grace. Revelations 12:17, you remember, they that keep his word and have the testimony of Jesus is the remnant.
▶ 28:42 They that obey the word of God and they that have the testimony of Jesus. So if an atheist rejects Jesus or a Muslim rejects Jesus, does it disqualify him for being a remnant? Absolutely. They’re not going to be reclaimed. I don’t care what these guys say. You reject Christ, it’s a whole different ballgame. Once you’ve heard the message of the gospel, the preaching of Christ, it changes the rules because they that haven’t believed on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ is condemned what? Already because they haven’t believed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. And they won’t come to the light, least their deeds be exposed. Why won’t they come to Jesus? Because he will tell them to repent.
▶ 29:34 Amen. You see, we got to have Jesus in this equation, folks. You can’t just say God. Jesus is God. And he’s got to be in the equation. And obeying the word’s got to be in the equation, not just faith and grace. All right. In Isaiah 65 verse 17, he is going to describe this again in a different approach. Are you ready?
Scripture in this part
Romans 11:4-5 (NKJV)
But what does the divine response say to him? “I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
— Romans 11:4-5 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 27:47Revelation 12:17 (NKJV)
And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
— Revelation 12:17 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 28:20John 3:18 (NKJV)
“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
— John 3:18 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 29:10 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does Isaiah 65:17-25 say about the new heavens and new earth?
Short answer: He reads Isaiah 65 and says an infant will not die in a few days and a child will die at a hundred years old, which does not sound like Revelation’s new heaven and earth where there is no death. He says there are still sinners in that day, and that the lion eating straw shows a phenomenal time coming without Jesus having to appear.
▶ 30:26 The lion eating straw. Now, we’re going to go to Isaiah. And he starts out with, “I create a new heaven, a new earth.” Isn’t that what Revelation says? Ain’t that right? The Revelation says that. Yeah. Hallelujah. A new heaven and new earth. Verse 19, the voice of weeping shall no more be heard in her Jerusalem, nor infant of days. That means the infant isn’t going to die in a few days. No crib death, nothing. The infant’s going to live. Okay? Nor an old man that has not fulfilled his days. Us old men, me and Mr. Barnes, hallelujah, we’re going to fulfill our days.
▶ 31:20 For a child shall die a 100 years old. Oo. A child shall die 100 years old in this new heaven and new earth. Doesn’t sound like Revelation’s new heaven and new earth, does it? Revelation’s new heaven and new earth is we don’t die. No sickness, no pain, no sorrow, no nothing. And we don’t die. But look at this. The sinner being a 100 years old, the sinner being 100 years old will be accursed and the old man will fulfill his days. So if the sinner lives a 100 years, how many years is the non-sinner going to live?
▶ 32:13 The problem what we got here is we got sinners in that day. Now in Revelation, do we have sinners? No. They’ve been they’ve been cast out. Are you there? In Revelation, the new heaven and earth. There’s no more death. Hallelujah. You got your thinking cap on now? The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, just like he said in chapter 11. So there is a phenomenal time coming without Jesus having to appear.

Isaiah 65:17-25 (NKJV)
“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; For behold, I create Jerusalem as a rejoicing, And her people a joy. I will rejoice in Jerusalem, And joy in My people; The voice of weeping shall no longer be heard in her, Nor the voice of crying. “No more shall an infant from there live but a few days, Nor an old man who has not fulfilled his days; For the child shall die one hundred years old, But the sinner being one hundred years old shall be accursed. They shall build houses and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit. They shall not build and another inhabit; They shall not plant and another eat; For as the days of a tree, so shall be the days of My people, And My elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labor in vain, Nor bring forth children for trouble; For they shall be the descendants of the blessed of the LORD, And their offspring with them. “It shall come to pass That before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, The lion shall eat straw like the ox, And dust shall be the serpent’s food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain,” Says the LORD.
— Isaiah 65:17-25 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 30:26Could God change the nature of animals again, and will he display his glory through the church?
Short answer: He says all animals ate plants for over 1,600 years until after the flood, so God can change them back, and he says the church should look for the nations being brought to God, not only the second coming. He says that in that day the nations will fear the church, as in Acts when people did not attack the church.
▶ 33:20 Now listen folks, listen to this. There was a period of over 1,600 years where the lion ate straw. Are you aware of that? All animals ate plants for over 1600 years till after the flood. Then they ate meat. Now, if God can do a phenomenal thing and change the nature of the animals to eat meat now, and that means they’re going to eat each other, can he in that day change it back to where animals eat plants? And I can’t wait to see what the evolutionist has got to say about that.
▶ 34:15 How are they going to explain that? Are you there? Hallelujah. You look puzzled. Isn’t it amazing that we talk about a big God and all the church in America can do is look for the second coming. They can’t look for nations being brought to God. God displaying his glory through his church like he did in the first remnant. See, the first remnant, I showed you, it was in Romans when he came and he brought out of the nations a people for himself. That was the first. There hasn’t been this second one yet. Now, we have people coming out of the nations, but not in the degree that Isaiah is talking about.
▶ 35:10 The church certainly isn’t in unity. Everybody’s got their own opinions and you know good God and there’s no fear of the church. See in this he’s talking about a fear of the church. And I showed you in Acts where Peter’s shadow would heal people. And uh when he slew Ananias and Sapphira, everyone that heard about it never said anything against the church. They never attacked the church. And they wouldn’t even join the church unless they were sincere. Now, if God could do that on a little level, can he do that on a global level? He’s God, folks. Why do we keep him in a little, a thimble when he is a big God?
▶ 36:05 Hallelujah. And doesn’t the Psalm say show that they are just mere men and that you are God? Wouldn’t this show that we’ve come to the place where we’ve got to be exposed and understand we’re just humans and he is supernatural and he is God. Hallelujah. Do we want to go to heaven so bad and the rapture comes so bad that we’re going to miss out on an explosive revelation of God in the last days that’s going to shake the world? Hallelujah. Did he do it in Egypt? Did he display his play and his glory without appearing? Yeah. Can he do it before he returns?

— Psalm 9:20 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 36:10 (quoted; reference not named in the message)How do Genesis 1, 9 and 3 relate to Isaiah 11?
Short answer: He says Genesis 1 shows animals only ate plants and Genesis 9 where God said they would eat meat, and that God can bring back the peace of Isaiah 11, which would embarrass evolutionists. He says in Genesis 3:14 the serpent was told he would eat dust, and that God will bring peace to the animal kingdom as well as the nations.
▶ 37:02 And I think that’s what Isaiah is trying to tell us, folks. But we’re so hung up on Daniel’s 70th weeks and and all this baloney that we are not seeing a mighty God doing a mighty thing when he comes to reclaim the second time in that day a people from all nations. And the nations are going to be afraid of the church, the mountain of the Lord. Are you there? Isn’t it something to think about? Yeah, it is. We have a big God, folks. I’m telling you, we have a big God. And you can read in Genesis chapters 1 where animals only ate plants and then in Genesis 9 where God said now they’ll eat meat and they started devouring one another.
▶ 37:57 And God can bring that back. And that would really embarrass all scientists and especially the evolutionists. And those of us who have stuck with the six day creation are going to be smiling. Hallelujah. I told you. I told you he did it. In Genesis 3:14, he told the serpent, “Upon your belly shall you go, and you will eat dust all the days of your life.” Did the serpent used to eat dust? Was the Bible wrong? For 1600 and some years, the serpent ate dust. Then after the flood, he got to eat mice and rabbits.
▶ 38:53 Are you folks out there? Have them Christian books got you so blinded you can’t get this simple thing that Isaiah is talking about. Hallelujah. Do we have a big God? Yes. What’s his name? Jesus. Jesus. Don’t you forget that Jehovah saves. Emmanuel, he is with us and he saves. All right. So, we’re going to have a time of visitation from God that’s going to bring [unclear] peace on the earth, not only to the nations and the people, but the animal kingdom as well. Wow. Now folks, that’s a supernatural God and that’s a big supernatural event that we need to look forward to instead of being yanked out of this world.

Genesis 1:30 (NKJV)

— Genesis 1:30 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 37:25Genesis 9:3 (NKJV)

So the LORD God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of your life.
— Genesis 3:14 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 38:15Did the early church think Jesus was coming any minute?
Short answer: He says many in the early church thought the second coming was any minute, and reads 2 Thessalonians 2:2-3 that the day of Christ will not come except there come a falling away first. He says the church fell away like Israel, and that the restoration since the Reformation produced denominations, but in that day people will look to Jesus Christ, not a denomination or leader.
▶ 39:56 Hallelujah. Okay. All right. Um now remember the early church did not reach the whole world. They didn’t even know there was another world out there. The early church, the apostles, only went to India. Up here, just north of the Black Sea, over to Spain. Some say they went to Britain. I can’t find any record of that in anything I researched.
▶ 40:52 Uh, so I don’t use things I research. So, I get the the map that maybe I’ll find it tomorrow that they went to Britain, but my understanding is the apostles never made it that far. They went to Spain. They were in Italy up here in Corinth and all that. Down into Egypt, a little bit of Libya and uh Arabia and Assyria cuz they didn’t know that there was a big world out there yet. It hadn’t been revealed to them yet. Could it be that we don’t know as much as we think we know? Yeah. Now you got to remember the early church, they thought the second coming was any minute.
▶ 41:48 See, this is not a new teaching. Many in the early church thought the second coming was any minute. 2 Thessalonians 2:2, Paul says, “Don’t be soon shaken in mind or troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter from us, that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any mean any means, for that day shall not come except there come a falling away first.” You see, the apostles knew there was going to be a falling away. It it wasn’t an accident. Did Israel fall away after they were given the promise of the promised land and the laws? Did they fall away? Yeah. Are we just like them? Yes. Yeah. I always said when I was a younger Christian, how could these Jews not believe with a cloud there, pillar of fire, voice coming out of the thing?
▶ 42:46 I mean, you have to be a nitwit not to believe and follow. And then the Holy Ghost said, “You’re just like him.” And I got to look at them myself. And I was I was just like him. I stopped at a certain place in God, you know, doing the convenient things that I considered was obeying the word of God. And so we have the church falling away just like Israel fell away. And were they our example? Yeah. Then we have in Acts 3 the promise of restoration. And since 1500 19 or 17 whatever it is when Luther uh brought his thesis and put him on the door of justification by faith and you know no uh payment for sins you know all that stuff.
▶ 43:48 God started restoration and that’s where we got then we started little groups. Lutheran, Anabaptist, Methodist, Presbyterians. Oh, we just keep building a group, the [unclear], healing, Pentecostal, Baptism of the Holy Ghost. We just keep building another denomination until in our generation we got the Calvary Chapel denomination and the vineyard denomination, the new kids on the block and we just make another denomination. But God said in that day, who are they going to look to? Jesus Christ. Not to a denomination, not to some leader. Who do we look to today? As quick as you ask somebody, you know, are you a Christian? Yeah, I go to so- and so church and so and so is my pastor. Jesus better be your pastor, my friend, and you better be in his church.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 (NKJV)
Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,
— 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 41:48Acts 3:19-21 (NKJV)
Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.
— Acts 3:19-21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 43:10Could we know less than we think we know?
Short answer: He says the early church did not know the full world, and that knowledge increases in the last days only as God gives it. Using the Arctic tern, he says we are like a bird zigzagging when we go from church to church trying to find truth, when our basic instinct should lead us to the book and to Jesus.
▶ 44:42 Amen. But that’s the way we’re programmed in America today. See, everything’s cool. I’m a Catholic man. Even if I mess up, they give me the death rites. I’m in. Hallelujah. So, we got this lack of knowledge in the early church. Could it possibly be we don’t have the knowledge we think we have in our generation? That this big God we serve is really a big God and is going to do a big thing because heaven, the Bible says, has a multitude up there that can’t be numbered. So, he’s got to do to be doing something big. And not just snatching the church out. The apostles reached this area, they I mean, if I lived back in that time, I would have had to known what’s at the bottom of Africa.
▶ 45:38 It was It’s just in me. If there’s a mountain, I got to know what’s at the top of it. It’s just there, you know. And then I hear there’s this continent that they only been so far down and and man, I would just have to get an expedition going to see how far down this continent goes. But you see, they didn’t. And why didn’t they? Because God didn’t put it in them to do it. Are you aware that the Bible says in the last days knowledge will increase? Yeah. See, we think us humans get knowledge, but we don’t get it till he gives it. You see, they didn’t have a electricity and light bulbs and all that years ago because God didn’t give the knowledge.
▶ 46:32 And a lot of us Christians don’t have as much knowledge as we think we do because we read Rick Warren’s book and Osteen’s book and all that. You better be reading the book and you better be praying with the Holy Ghost to get revelation of the book. Hallelujah. I still say there’s no better authors than the Bible authors. Now, let me let me give you an illustration of knowledge. Okay? The scientists think they got everything figured out. There’s a bird called the Arctic tern. All right. It lives down here in the Antarctica. Every year they travel northward and they zigzag.
▶ 47:27 They’ll go over to here, back over to here. I mean, these birds, they actually fly over 40,000 miles to go 12,000. That’s like us Christians and you and it was three days journey into Canaan land and 40 years later Israel went in. Are you there? That’s us. The Arctic tern. We’re just zigzagging all over, man. This church, that church, that preacher, this preacher. Anyway, they fly all over the place and they get up here to the Iceland close to the Arctic Circle, North Britain, and they have kids and all that and then they fly back.
▶ 48:22 Well, scientists calls that, you know, basic instinct. Okay. A inborn pattern of activity of behavior and you ask them where did they get that? Well, they evolved. I said that’s poor evolution. They’re going from one cold country to another cold country makes no sense. There’s no common sense there. And you talk to atheist, I mean atheist and evolution about what kind of ev evolution is that? They could have just stayed where they were at. But you see, God put it in them. And they’re going to do it because God gave them that basic instinct to go up there and do something worthless.
▶ 49:17 Are you there? Hell yeah. Church, we’re just like the Arctic tern. We have some basic instincts in us and we’re it’s supposed to take us to Jesus and we just zigzag all over the map trying to find truth and trying to find Jesus instead of just going to the book which should be our basic instinct and following the book and just staying right where we’re at. I don’t have to go anywhere to find God. He will meet me right where I am at. It’s just as cold where I’m at as it is over there where I’m going. So, I might as well just stay where I’m at and let Jesus heat me up.

Daniel 12:4 (NKJV)
“But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”
— Daniel 12:4 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 46:00 (quoted; reference not named in the message)What does he tell young people to expect and pursue?
Short answer: He tells young people to stay in morality and keep pursuing righteousness and truth in God’s word, because they will be part of the remnant that ushers in a move of God that shakes the nations. He says there will be a period when everyone is afraid of the church because it is united around Jesus and his word.
▶ 50:09 Amen. Let him bring the summer season. Now church, you young people, I’m telling you, you got something big to look forward to. And remember when Christ came the first time, they only understood as he revealed it to them. They weren’t there saying, “Oh, Bob, Jesus is coming. The Messiah is coming. He’s going to be born of the earth.” They weren’t out there passing out tracks and saying he’s coming at all. They didn’t know he was coming until he said he was coming. And they didn’t know what he was going to do. Did he say what he’s going to do? And they didn’t know the the fulfillment of prophecies until he said, “This is the fulfillment of these prophecies.” Are you there? Yes. But I can guarantee you young people, you stay in morality.
▶ 51:08 You stay pursuing righteousness, truth in God’s word. You’re going to be part of the remnant that’s going to usher in a move of God that’s going to shake the nations of the earth. And there’s going to be a period where everybody’s going to be afraid of the church. They’re going to respect the church that much because we’re not a bunch of divided idiots. We are united around Jesus and his word. And see, that’s going to be the witness that’s going to judge these people that reject the message of the gospel. Are you there? Okay. And quickly, there’s praise in that day. In that day you will say, “Oh Lord, I will praise you.” How many don’t want to that day you just want to do it now. Yeah.
What does Isaiah 12 say about praise in that day?
Short answer: He reads Isaiah 12 and says that in that day you will say, “Oh Lord, I will praise you,” and that God can comfort and restore anyone who repents and asks forgiveness. He says to draw water from the wells of salvation with joy, call upon his name, and cry out and shout in the midst of the Holy One of Israel.
▶ 51:59 Yeah. Though you were angry with me, your anger is turned away and you comfort me. Hallelujah. If you’re here today and you’ve been a bad boy and and you know God is disciplining you for your uh behavior, he can come and comfort you. He can come and change you. He can come and restore you. You just need to ask him forgiveness. Repent. Agree that you’re wrong and ask him to come. Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust and not be afraid. I will not be what? Afraid. Hallelujah. For Yah the Lord is my strength and my song. Not Osteen, not Warren, not some pastor of Mountainside Church. God himself is my strength and my song. How many know he says he compasses about with songs of deliverance?
▶ 52:50 Music and singing is vitally important in the church and it should be coming from the spirit back to the God. It should be anointed of God. Not just going through motions of singing. God’s ordained music and singing in the church to bring his glory and touch people’s lives and change people’s lives and to teach them his ways. Hallelujah. Not to entertain them. He’s also become my salvation. Therefore, with joy will you draw water from the wells of salvation. With what? Joy. And it is a joyful thing when you’re released from bondage. Continuing 12:4. In that day, see the same time period. You will say, “Praise the Lord.” You will say, “Call upon his name.” You will declare his deeds among the people. Hallelujah. God’s going to move you.
▶ 53:41 You’re not going to be no silent saint in that day. How many know I don’t want to wait for that big expedition to come. How many know we can experience things in our day? Make mention that his name is exalted. You know, to make mention, you got to tell people, man, the Jesus, he’s he’s a name above every name. Jesus is God. You know, you got to mention, you got to talk it. Ain’t no silent prayers and silent, you know, uh, don’t wear your religion on your Yes, we’re going to wear religion on our sleeve. In fact, it’s not a religion. It’s Jesus Christ. It’s the living word. And we’re going to put it right out there where you can see it. Amen. This is known in all the earth. Duh. Now you know it. Cry out and shout, “Oh, inhabitant of Zion.” Shout.
▶ 54:36 My goodness. That’s for Pentecostal weirdos. No, it’s for anybody that’s touched God and got understanding. We can shout unto God with the voice of triumph. And in that day, you will. For great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst. Where is he at? In our midst, folks. Hallelujah.

Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.’ ” Therefore with joy you will draw water From the wells of salvation. And in that day you will say: “Praise the LORD, call upon His name; Declare His deeds among the peoples, Make mention that His name is exalted. Sing to the LORD, For He has done excellent things; This is known in all the earth. Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion, For great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst!”

Does he say we should keep our faith silent?
He says we are not going to be silent saints in that day, that we should make mention that his name is exalted, and that it is not a religion but Jesus Christ, the living word, which we put right out where you can see it.

About this transcript
This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added by hand, and obvious caption errors were corrected; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor note: he says “Isaiah 11:6” when he reads “They will neither hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain,” which is Isaiah 11:9. The captions give “Isaiah 10:es 1-3” and “Isaiah 11:es 1 and 2,” read here as verses 1 through 3 and 1 and 2, and “a chute” in Isaiah 11:1, read as “a shoot.” The captions garble some names that are corrected to the Bible spellings because the passage is clear (Baal in Romans 11:4, Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5, Arctic tern); the captions spell Osteen several ways (Ostein, Olstein), read here as Osteen. A few words are shown as [unclear] and not guessed. He names many real people and groups: two presidents, Oprah Winfrey, Rick Warren, Joel Osteen, the Pope, Martin Luther’s thesis, a man called Mr. Barnes, a restaurant protest, and the Republican and Democratic parties; he says Oprah is “living with a man in sexual immorality,” says he has two presidents on video saying the Bible is not a book of truth but a book of faith, quotes Rick Warren on national television, and says the Pope has declared for homosexual unions. These are his own statements about real people and have not been checked here. He also speaks about homosexuality as a crime, capital punishment, jobs shipped overseas, welfare, Mexico’s military and evolution, all as his own opinions and kept as spoken. His factual claims (a million jobs shipped overseas every year, an Arctic tern flying 40,000 miles to go 12,000, animals eating only plants for “over 1,600 years,” where the apostles traveled) are his own and have not been checked here.
