From the sermonA new day! - December 31, 2023 · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)▶ 0:00

On the last Sunday of 2023, the speaker gives reminders for the new year: God’s commandments, not culture, define love and harm; the Holy Spirit is our armor bearer; Christ’s word stills every wind of doctrine; grace means being under the influence of Christ; and nameless believers with the hand of the Lord can do great things. The goal for 2024 is to let the river of life flow.

Who defines love and harm?

▶ Watch this part (26:22)

Short answer: Love is the fulfillment of the law; America is trying to define love, harm, theft and morality, but God’s commandments are the standard.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 26:22 Us Lord let it change us in the house of the Lord we want to look forward to a wonderful new year 2024. Amen we want to look forward to our own development as Christians and reaching the world with the gospel we want to be reminded of a few things Romans 13:9 all the commandments are summed up in this saying you shall love your neighbor as. Yourself love does no harm to a neighbor therefore love is the fulfillment of the law I’m going to go through some reminders here and point out this simple truths in them and it’s important in this specific truth that the commandments are the source of truth in our day in America today everybody is trying to define what love is and what harm is they’re trying to define define what uh theft is.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Romans 13:9-10 (NKJV)

For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

— Romans 13:9-10 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 26:22

Whose book do you want to be in?

▶ Watch this part (27:31)

Short answer: The Lamb’s Book of Life; my own book is going to burn up. Let God be true and every man a liar.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 27:31 Stealing what uh what is immoral what’s moral what sexual if if sexual immorality is moral not moral and they’re pointing out to people that believe in truth and saying that they are the ones that are. Wrong but that what when it comes to Christ when it comes to Jesus God the father father we have to find our source in his commandments his commandments are the truth they are the standard for what love is and what harm is it’s not our own definition we can make up our own definition but it is not the truth and since you want your name written in the lamb’s book of the life and I want my name written in written in the lamb’s book of life I have to follow the lamb’s.

▶ 28:30 Criteria. Amen if I follow my own I can get into my own book but my own book’s going to burn up I want to be in the book of what. Life so very important don’t let the world deceive you this. Year the scriptures say in Romans 3:4 let God be what true and every man and a liar we’ve got to remember that his truths they will last for eternity the word Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever joh first John 4:16 God is love and he who abides in love abides in God and God in him if God is love then how can how can these contradictions contradict with God and his word word people will twist what love is and they’ll say this is what love is that’s what love is well you have a problem because God says he is love and the greatest thing that we can do is to what love.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Romans 3:4 (NKJV)

Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written: “That You may be justified in Your words, And may overcome when You are judged.”

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 29:45 God we got to follow him obey. Him abiding in God means that you’re not abiding in sin you abide in God you’re with him amen you’re not in the kingdom of darkness and that’s a process you know don’t give up on yourself all right if you make a mistake get back in right relationship with God okay he is a good uh person to be in a relationship with if you mess up make mistakes he’ll restore you. Back but you’ve got to admit you’re wrong don’t sit there and act like don’t try to approve your sin. Colossians 1:20 having made peace through the blood of his cross and you who once alienated enemies in your mind by wicked works now now reconciled in the body of his flesh through death to present you holy blameless and above reproach in his sight so Christ God through his love is going to bring us to a place and present us holy blameless and ab brub reproach that’s what God wants to do in you that’s where God wants to take you he wants a transformation to happen in in your life by his love.

Is there a condition?

▶ Watch this part (31:10)

Short answer: Yes: if indeed you continue in the faith; keep adding to your faith.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 31:10 And it says in verse 23 Colossians 1:23 if indeed you continue in the faith there is a condition here. Right Christ wants to bring you to a place but we have to continue in the faith we got to continue in the process continue adding to your faith. And many people have accepted. Christ but they do not continue or allow Christ to be formed in them and they do not allow Christ to bring them to a new creation that’s very important in your Christian walk simple truths this morning Galatians 3:26 you are all sons of God through faith faith in Christ Jesus it’s important for you to understand that you are an offspring a child of God now okay no matter what kind of family or uh situation you have parents dead you’re an orphan you got rejected all of this stuff that may have happened to you Jesus looks at you God looks at you and he says you are my child.

And his children have an inheritance his children get to have their father they get to have all the good things that God provides there is neither Jew nor greek slave nor free male nor female you are all one in Christ Jesus God isn’t looking at the man and the woman and saying oh the man is better than the woman no he looks at you the same he’s looking at his spirit he sees your spiritual inner man inner. ▶ Watch this part (33:22)

Short answer: Come up after me: Jesus sent the Holy Spirit, who is like an armor bearer who equips us.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 33:22 You a promise of eternal life and not only eternal life but are partaker of the divine nature today in your life this year the in your lifetime you can grow to a place where you have partaken of the divine nature and you can be changed you can become that new. Creature 1 Samuel 14:12. Jonathan in the Old Testament he went up to take on the philistines if you remember and he says to his armor bearer come up after me for the Lord has delivered them into the hand of Israel and when you look at the Old Testament you got to realize a lot of these stories are illustrations of Jesus Christ and this is one of them and Jonathan is saying to his armor bear come up after me Jesus came he died on the cross and he said I’m going to send the promise of my father the holy Holy Spirit he’s going to come after me and what we recognize in this illustration is that the Holy Spirit is like a what armor bearer he equips.

Scripture (NKJV)

Do you want to be ill-equipped?

▶ Watch this part (34:45)

Short answer: No; the armor of God is for a spiritual war, so make time for the word and learn to pray.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 34:45 You if you read in Ephesians chapter 6:11 you read about what the armor of God and the Holy Spirit will arm you with a breastplate of righteousness a belt of truth the shield of faith the helmet of salvation the gospel of peace over your feet and the sword of the spirit we need all of these things and that Holy Spirit will arm you and equip you if you don’t have the Holy Spirit we have to search and seek to receive that Holy. Spirit it’s very important you do not want to arrive on the battlefield.

▶ 35:28 Ill. Equipped not having anything ready to go how many would you like to uh get on you know have you dropped in parachuted in and you are just bare and you have nothing that God doesn’t want to do that to you okay remember there’s a spiritual war going on and we have to fight a spiritual fight and we have to have that armor on and we have to have our weapons of offense that sword s of the spirit it’s the living word of God you got to get that word into you get knowledge of that word and pray that God opens up that word to you and that spirit will come and open up that word to you but you got to get knowledge of it I you got to make a goal you got to make a goal this year to put God’s word into you whatever your schedule is you need to make time you know I’ve been in a teenager I’ve been an adult now I’ve have kids I know what it is to have to make time for.

▶ 36:30 God you’ve got to make time for his word to put the knowledge of his word into you you got to make time to pray if you don’t know how to pray time to learn how to. Pray you got to make time you do not want to be ill equipped that Holy Spirit wants to arm you but we have to come to that Holy Spirit and get. Armed so I encourage you this year if you don’t have the Holy Spirit maybe you accepted Christ maybe you’ve got the blood of Jesus Christ flown in you we got to take on that Holy Spirit that Holy Spirit wants to bring you to a new level and a new place if you’ve had the Holy Spirit for 30 years now 20 years 10 years and you’ve been filled up it’s time to start letting the river flow out of you you’ve got to find a way even in your condition your state to let the river of God flow out of you because if you don’t let the river flow he can’t put any more into you and you’re going to sit there and a little bit’s going to go out and you’re and you’re going to wonder what is going on what is going on with God’s spirit in my life well you got to let it out of you it’s very very important.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Ephesians 6:11-17 (NKJV)

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

▶ 39:32 Everywhere every wind of doctrine is coming out and beating on America right. Now but Jesus Christ he rebuked the wind and he said peace be still. The wind ceased and there was a great calm it’s important to recognize and remember that Christ his words are. Powerful and no matter what the world is saying and no matter what the noise is going on right now when you have the living word of Jesus Christ when you have that word spoken it cuts through all of the junk and when he is in his word and when that word is spoken and he is with it it will shut.

Why does evil keep advancing?

▶ Watch this part (41:25)

Short answer: Evil men grow worse and worse; it’s by design, like the tares and the wheat growing together; continue in what you have learned.

▶ 41:25 Amen. 2 Timothy 3:13 evil men impostors will grow worse and worse deceiving and being. Deceived sometimes I get very tired and upset with. Uh you know the world advancement and getting um taking such a foothold. But we have to remember that this is where things are headed it’s by design you know you may sit back and be like God why why. Why uh the simple parable in the scriptures about the tares and the wheat the the they’re going to both grow together right so the world’s going to grow just as high as the people of God we need to remember that but he says here you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of I remember when I was 12 years old I remember the carpet I was standing on I remember where I was at carbon canyon church I remember the song they sang I remember who sang the song and it was the first time that I had met Jesus Christ for.

▶ 42:51 Myself it was the first time Christ revealed himself unto me he came came with his presence he gave me a hug and I couldn’t see him I couldn’t feel his arms but he was there and it was powerful the love of God just hugged me and I wept I wept uncontrollably I did not know that he was this. Real and from that. Time many of us. We’re taught and we have learned you know some the reason why we play songs and do certain things is because this is what we have learned and taught and this is when when I met Jesus they did something a certain way they sang a song they had a time of response at the end after the message that’s why we do this after the message to give you an opportunity to meet with your God.

▶ 43:57 Because this is what we’ve learned this is what was made real to us by. God you must continue in the things you have learned and been assured. Of we also have learned a uh a lot of teaching from the scriptures and I bring this up because sometimes we get discouraged and we want to want to change something we want to just move away from what we know is. True and it’s just a reminder here we must continue in the things that we have learned I am encouraged when I read this. Scripture second Timothy 4:1 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ who will judge the living and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom preach the word convince rebuke exhort with all longsuffering and teaching.

▶ 44:54 So in this exhortation to from Paul to Timothy this is a letter to Timothy from Paul he is reminding of him him to continue in what he’s learned he’s reminding him to preach the word exactly what we just talked about in the previous slide how Jesus said peace be still that’s exactly what we need to do we need to preach his word with patience and teaching be watchful in all things endure. Afflictions I’m just reminding you and encouraging you of the goal the goal that’s been set forth even from Paul to Timothy it’s the same goal today it’s the same solution today the word of God is powerful the word of God is living it will it will dissect it will divide us under that’s what it says in Hebrews the word of God is living and powerful a sharpen than any two-edged sword amen that word is the answer it is the key.

▶ 46:01 Hebrews chapter 8 verse 5 the tabernacle served as a copy and shadow of heavenly. Things 1 Corinthians 3:16 do you not know that you are the temple of God and the spirit of God dwells in you this is also a reminder I bring up these kids here uh if you travel to different countries and you see these temples that they have made to their God that the temples they have made to uh uh other gods even you. Know people they they call gods in the middle east in asia in africa there’s temples some of them are built some of them are multi-million doll buildings maybe even billions of dollars so much money’s been spent on these I mean the columns you walk in they’re so beautiful the 16 chapel has the the paintings oh there’s there’s places in in in in italy in europe they’re just so.

▶ 47:06 Magnificent but you see God in. Heaven wants to dwell in. Them these little kids that are. Starving that are. Dirty that those children to to God are more. Valuable than all the beautiful marble and the paintings you know as beautiful as they are that is not God’s goal the scriptures say that he does not dwell in temples made with hands. Amen he dwells in people like you like me and like these children here God could have all the gold the marble and the beautiful stone columns the beautiful paintings. His own throne is worth more than the riches of this world but he has chosen to dwell in.

▶ 48:07 Us it’s magnificent we are that important to. Him we are that important to him and it’s also important to recognize that your temple your body we don’t want to defile. Our body our temple if anyone defiles the temple of God God will destroy him I don’t want that. Man very strong language for the temple of God is holy which temple you are be reminded of that this morning how valuable you are to Christ to Jesus to God in heaven you are a chosen generation a royal priest ood a holy nation his own special people you’re a special.

▶ 50:54 And he the samaritan brought the victim. To uh the in and he paid for. His uh treatment and Christ is bringing people to his church and we have to take some responsibility to care for the people that come that need Christ that need. Luke 10:30-35 (NKJV)

Then Jesus answered and said: “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.’

▶ 51:48 People Romans 6:14 sin shall not have dominion over you for you are not under law but but under. Grace when you say you’re under grace you’re saying that you’re under the influence of Christ just. Like people today that are under the influence of alcohol under the influence of marijuana cocaine drugs whatever it is when they take these things it changes them it changes their mind it changes how they act and what they say what comes out of their mouth right is this. True and it’s called being under the what under the influence and it’s the same way with Jesus Christ and when we are under grace we are under the influence.

Him Acts chapter 11:20 some of them were men from Cyprus and Cyrene when they had come to Antioch spoke to the Hellenists preaching the Lord Jesus Christ and the hand of the Lord was with them and a great number believed and turned to the Lord now you will never know the names of these men but these men were from where Cyprus and cene I don’t know who they.

▶ 57:56 So there’s some things that we need to address in our lives you can’t just go about your Christian walk saying I believe in Jesus and I’m going to go to heaven and that’s it no Christ has got a message for you I know your works Revelation 2:11 he who overcomes shall receive the rewards and I uh he says several times to him who overcomes to him who overcomes to him overcomes there’s some overcoming that we need to do there’s some steps that we need to do next you can’t just accept Christ and leave it down and leave it you know oh die and go to heaven there’s some more that God wants to bring you to he wants you to overcome in your life and he has some great promises for those who are willing to overcome God has given us tools remember he love for God so loved the world that he gave gave his son his son has given us the tool of repentance his son has given us the tool of praising God we have all these tools to fight against the kingdom of darkness to address the sin on our lives we have all these tools that we can utilize to what.

▶ 59:23 Overcome. Revelation 15:2 I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire and those who have the victory over the beast when you hear about people talk about the second coming you hear a lot about the mark of the beast the beast is coming this and that but I want to remind you and point out that there is a people there is a a a people that have decided that they’re going to have victory over the kingdom of darkness and I tell you right now I want to be counted with that group of people I want to be part of that group of people that have gained victory over the beast and not just the over the beast but over the mark of the beast over whatever mark is coming there’s a people that have victory over all of that and we can have that you can have victory over the beast.

▶ 1:00:27 Now if the beast is Satan we got to have victory over him now amen if the beast is you know something that Satan created or or the influence of the world I want to have victory over that. Now Romans 8:37 in all things we were more than conquerors through him who loved. Us we can be. Conquerors. Revelations 510 he has made us kings and priests to God and we shall reign on the earth. What is the river of life?

▶ Watch this part (1:02:26)

Short answer: A pure river from the throne of God; Jesus said rivers of living water would flow from those who believe, speaking of the Spirit.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Unidentified speaker (not clearly Pastor Kincer)

▶ 1:02:26 A church that the gates of hell do not prevail against amen I want to be a king that reigns on the earth I want to be victorious over the beast don’t you want these. Things in. Closing Revelation 22:1 he showed me a pure river of water of life clear as crystal proceeding from the throne of God God and the lamb in the middle of its street on either side of the river was the tree of life we got to come back to the tree of life we have spent a long time partaking of the tree of knowledge of good and evil the world has helped us you know we’re good at ta partaking of the tree of knowledge good and evil the tree that we shouldn’t partake of but we’ve all partaken of it but God Christ is trying to bring us back to what that tree of life.

▶ 1:03:26 Which bore 12 fruits each tree yielding its fruit every month and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations so there’s a river that is coming from the throne of God in the land and the spirit and the bride say come let him who hears say come let him who thirsts whoever desires let him take the water of life freely. And so this water this river is coming from the throne of God and the spirit and the bride who’s the bride the church we say come partake of this water of life.

▶ 1:04:16 If anyone thirst let him come to me and drink he who believes in me as the scriptures has said out of his heart will flow rivers of lifegiving water but this he spoke concerning the spirit so that river is the spirit of God and this year we want that spirit of God to come there’s some people here that have never experience the spirit of God we want them to receive it we want God to do a work like he did on Pentecost where people will come and they’ll prophesy and they’ll speak the mighty works of God there’s nothing wrong with that we want people to partake of this. River and it is also important to understand as Christians maybe you’ve been a Christian a long time this specifically is saying something different as the scripture has said out of his heart will flow rivers of lifegiving water that is different we want to be a church that is letting the river of life be given out.

▶ 1:05:25 That is important that is. Imperative we’ve got to get our focus this year on giving the river of life to those who are willing to come and drink freely from that river amen and I encourage you this morning as we go through these reminders it’s time to start start taking the steps to reach these goals it’s time to start taking the steps to develop yourself in your christianity to grow into a place where you have become a new creation where you have the the river in you and ultimately to a place where the river of life is coming out of you this world needs the river it’s healing it they need the river of God.

About this transcript

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added from the speaker’s pauses and then corrected by hand, and obvious caption errors (names, Bible references) were fixed; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor notes: He says “first kings 8:46” for Elijah outrunning Ahab, which is 1 Kings 18:46; left as said. Names in the “elenor… breo whittier” line are unclear in the captions and left as captioned.
