From the sermonA Fourth, and Much Overlooked, Reason Sheep Go Astray · Pastor David G. Kincer▶ 0:00

Pastor David G. Kincer teaches the fourth and most overlooked reason sheep go astray: treacherous sheep who befriend the weak and wounded to push them into error. He recounts harm from twisted teaching in his ministry and failed end-time predictions, then lists what these sheep lack: doing good, fellowship, obeying those who rule, provoking to love and good works, and continuing in the apostles’ doctrine. Jesus is able to overcome it all.

What were the first three reasons sheep go astray?

▶ Watch this part (0:00)

Short answer: Each going his own way (Isaiah 53), the “whoevers” who cause little ones and young believers to sin, and the delegated shepherds who scatter the flock. The fourth is the most overlooked and treacherous: befriending someone to harm them—people who show up when you are sick or disagree with the church and believe sin is okay.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 0:00 The most overlooked and treacherous. harmers of young sheep and children remember there’s four ways that we’ve shown you three ways before how sheep go astray each to his own way Isaiah 52 we just decide to do our own thing can’t blame anybody about us it’s our decision unconverted sheep and then we showed you that the most important in the kingdom was children and the least that believe on him young Christian all right and he Jesus said whoever causes one of these least that believe in me to sin and so the whoever’s it can be family it can be public school that can be your friend.

▶ 0:58 That causes these children and these least of the believers to sin and then we showed you the shepherds themselves the delegated shepherds [unclear] the delegated shepherds caused the sheep to be scattered and today we’re going to give you the fourth one and this is the most overlooked and I use the word treacherous because treachery in the Bible is a tremendous sin okay what it is is you befriend someone you do good to someone for the whole purpose of harming them okay. Treachery the Bible calls it and these are the most overlooked and these are the harmers of young sheep and children these people are there.

▶ 1:59 When you are sick. When you’re in financial trouble they may not help you with your finances but they’re there to bond with you to sympathize with you you say they are there when you are depressed just going through a sad difficult time see they’re there and especially they’re there when you disagree with the church. When you have a conflict with the truth they’re there to support you all right and these people believe that sin is okay. And the only reason we can divide is when we distort Jesus or we distort morality we sin then we can separate we got some funny doctrines we don’t agree on that’s not a reason to divide is it in the Bible no it’s not as some of these people attend church regularly.

Scripture (NKJV)

Isaiah 53:6 (NKJV)

All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

— Isaiah 53:6 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:15 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

Who are these people?

▶ Watch this part (3:06)

Short answer: Ezekiel 34:17, 21: I will judge between sheep and sheep—the sheep that push and butt the weak and wounded with their horns. They always have a “but” and an excuse, and they go after hurt baby Christians.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 3:06 Most don’t if they do attend the church regular it’s usually a very weak church a church that they can manipulate. Most of them do not attend a real church okay where the teaching is strong and right and organized these people imply that they are experts on the Bible. That’s the impression they give you man I did I got this down and they imply that they are experts on moral behavior what’s right and wrong okay and who are these people Ezekiel 34:17. These people are the sheep. I

▶ 4:01 Will judge between the sheep and sheep. Okay herd and herd cattle and [unclear] your version interprets that Ezekiel 34:17 God says I’m going to judge between sheep and sheep so let’s do two different kinds of sheep he’s talking about right yeah doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this out. The sheep he’s going to judge see the fourth source of causing God’s sheep God’s young sheep to go astray the sheep he’s going to judge is these sheep that push and butt all the weak ones with their horns their horned sheep their butters and I oh well I don’t have to the Bible says to get baptized in water but [unclear] and the Bible says to assemble together but the butters they always have that but [unclear] but I have an excuse I have a reason I and the Bible answer person and they pick on the weak ones and the word weak there also encompasses the wounded ones they find I mean you know baby Christians get hurt easily yeah they

▶ 5:32 do man they can you look at them wrong oh don’t like me anymore. You know you don’t say hi to him that day your minds on something oh that hurt and so they’re wounded and so these people go after the wounded they go after the weak the sheep and they push them and they buck them okay with their horns. You these sheep that I will judge scattered my sheep abroad you scatter the little ones that believe on me you scatter the children whether they believe on me or not God looks at children as the greatest in the kingdom you can’t mess around the kids. And they’re vulnerable they’re at your mercy and God will hold us accountable and the young of the flock all right.

Scripture (NKJV)

Ezekiel 34:17 (NKJV)

‘And as for you, O My flock, thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, I shall judge between sheep and sheep, between rams and goats.

Because you have pushed with side and shoulder, butted all the weak ones with your horns, and scattered them abroad,

— Ezekiel 34:21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 4:42 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

How do they harm the flock?

▶ Watch this part (6:34)

Short answer: Ezekiel 34:18–19: the flock must eat what you trampled and drink what you fouled—they twist the Scriptures, as Peter said of Paul’s writings. To them the Spirit is either neutral head knowledge or mere emotion.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 6:34 You scattered them abroad my flock which the word here my flock is [unclear]. The young believer the children see the weak ones the vulnerable and they have to eat what you trampled with your feet they they trample on the word of God as Peter said about Paul’s writing they twist the scriptures to their own destruction and the destruction of others say they trample the scriptures they bend them twist them and then the flock eat.

▶ 7:15 What they’ve trampled with their feet the word of God he says and my flock my young flock have to drink what you have fouled with your feet now we all know out of the innermost being rivers of life-giving water will flow so we’re talking about likening this excuse me to the spirit and to these people the spirit is either neutral or the spirit is emotional [unclear] oh I feel him I’m approved of God I feel that [unclear] I’m a happy happy happy happy happy [unclear] yeah it’s either extreme one way in the emotion or the spirits neutral it’s all head knowledge. And and head knowledge will not get you anywhere that head knowledge better come from the spirit knowledge in that true yes.

Scripture (NKJV)

Ezekiel 34:18-19 (NKJV)

Is it too little for you to have eaten up the good pasture, that you must tread down with your feet the residue of your pasture—and to have drunk of the clear waters, that you must foul the residue with your feet? — John 7:38 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 7:31 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

What do they ignore?

▶ Watch this part (8:16)

Short answer: The Holy Ghost convicts of sin, righteousness and judgment and teaches us; he led Simeon into the temple to see Jesus. These people don’t grow, don’t participate and advise everybody but themselves.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 8:16 You see. They ignore the conviction of the Holy Ghost of sin righteousness and judgment the Holy Ghost is a convictor. Alright and that’s how we get born again by the Holy Spirit coming to us and being part of our repentance and conversion they ignore the wisdom of the spirit the knowledge of the spirit the understanding of the spirit and the spirit that teaches us see Jesus said when he come he will teach you the Holy Spirit is our teacher now I can teach the Bible but the Holy Spirit can teach you he can make it alive he can make it real to you amen. And the Holy Spirit teaches us to obey God and the Holy Spirit like Simeon led.

▶ 9:18 Simeon into God’s house to see Jesus why did the Holy Spirit lead Simeon to the temple that day to see Jesus do we come for Jesus. See is that right see that’s the Holy Spirit’s reason now these people don’t grow in God and they don’t care about the sheep really growing and they don’t work they don’t become a participant in the church to see that the sheep grow. All right. They advise everybody but themselves they’re good at telling everybody else what they should be doing but they never tell them self have you noticed that yeah.

What harm has he seen?

▶ Watch this part (10:15)

Short answer: In 40 years as a pastor: a young man who plucked out an eye and another who tried to cut off a hand from a home Bible study twisting “if your right eye offend thee,” a 17-year-old who set himself on fire over second-coming teaching, and two boys who killed themselves over the same teaching.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 10:15 I’m going to give you some examples of sheep harming sheep here as being a pastor for 40 years. I had a young boy come into the church from a home Bible study back in the 70s and he literally had one eye gone and the scars were there and I asked him how did that happen he said well the Bible says if your right eye offend thee pluck it out and cast it from you see this is sheep. Twisting scriptures that bring harm to innocent sheep.

▶ 11:11 When I asked for you know who taught you that it was a home Bible study in Corona somewhere in any way. It wasn’t it it wasn’t a church leader. At all it was just a home Bible study where these people got together and trying to teach the Bible and brought tremendous harm I mean oh that’s just ridiculous yes it is it’s absurd. Cut off the hand another young man came in pretty close to the same time and he had scars where he literally tried to cut off his hand. Okay sheep. Butting and pushing sheep now these are extreme things but these are things I’ve experienced.

▶ 12:06 One young man about 17 years old. From. Extreme teaching on the second coming figured he could not make it through the great tribulation and while he was right with God he thought he’d kill himself so that he would make it in a way he wouldn’t backslide before the rapture and then wouldn’t have to go through that tribulation so he went out into a field there in La Habra poured gasoline on him and lit it and I was called into that okay and we got the boy turned around right and then I’ve told you before the psychologist at the hospital after I came and talked to the boy the parents asked me to come and talk to him the psychologist called me said what in the world did you say to this guy he is a different person and all I did was give scriptural truth about the second coming that they had distorted all right.

▶ 13:11 Two young boys that. Visited the church there in La Habra they just visited because we had music groups coming in if they liked the music group they were there and so forth but basically they got their teaching from home Bible studies and extreme groups that rose up during the 70’s a lot of extreme groups are there well these two boys killed themselves. Okay over the same teaching the second coming the father of one of them came and blamed me and I said sir number one your son was not a part of this church he just visited and number two I don’t teach that you better go find out where he was getting his information from and he had a right to be irate he’d lost a teenage boy to nonsense sheep.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Matthew 5:29-30 (NKJV)

If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.

— Matthew 5:29-30 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 10:56 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

What else marks these sheep?

▶ Watch this part (14:09)

Short answer: They say drugs and intoxication are okay, hide sexually transmitted diseases to marry innocent Christians, come to church for a spouse, date or money, reject baptism, and don’t respect church policy or the chain of command. Acts 2:38: repent and be baptized.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 14:09 misleading sheep it wasn’t a church leader it was people he was listening to. These people say drugs is okay intoxications okay with alcohol these people will hide their sexually transmitted disease and marry an innocent Christian in the church and it’s an incurable disease so the one they married gets it. They don’t care for the church. They’re very judgmental they’re very opinionated. And. They came to the church and they still come to get a spouse.

▶ 15:02 Or to get a date. They don’t come for Jesus they come to pick up some money and church leaders have to be very observant of these people you know they know how to [unclear] they know how to go through the forms but their whole purpose is to get somebody and get into a relationship and take them I dealt with it all the time and Mr. Barnes and those have been around can verify that I mean it was a continual battle. These people some of them don’t believe in water baptism Holy Spirit baptism or even baptism into the body of Christ and they teach sheep that stuff when the Bible says repent and be what baptized how many every one of you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission forgiveness deliverance of sin repentance.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

Acts 2:38 (NKJV)

Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

— Acts 2:38 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 15:49 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

Does the New Testament describe these sheep?

▶ Watch this part (16:03)

Short answer: 1 Corinthians 15:12–17: how say some among you there is no resurrection? Then you are still in your sins. 2 Timothy 2:17–18: Hymenaeus and Philetus—sheep, not leaders—said the resurrection was past and overthrew the faith of some. Acts 20:30: of your own selves men will arise.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 16:03 Confessing what a baptism is all part of the package of being delivered from sin these people do not follow church policies nor do they respect the chain of command [unclear] okay and they are abundant and they are the ones that are the least recognized we always talk about the false prophets and the cults out there and all that but these sheep do more damage than anybody any of these others are. always butting and pushing they’re very pushy all right always have a butt all right in the New Testament they give us scriptures for the sheep hurting and scattering sheep in the New Testament first Corinthians 15:12 if Christ we preach that he rose from the dead how say what some of you the sheep how say some of the members of the body of Christ the sheep that there is no resurrection and then he puts a real humdinger ending on it if there’s no resurrection of the dead you’re still in your sins I.

▶ 17:21 Mean that’s I mean that’s just yeah you can’t take the resurrection out Paul said or we’re not forgiven of our sins because Jesus died and rose to cleanse us from our sin but see these some among you is sheep he didn’t say the elders he didn’t say the apostles he said some among you. Second Timothy 2:17 their message spreads like a cancer. Whose message like Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort you see Hymenaeus and Philetus they weren’t leaders in the church they were sheep who strayed concerning the truth saying that the resurrection has already passed they said oh there’s a resurrection but it’s already past when Jesus rose from the grave and the saints of old rose at that and they what overthrow the faith of some who’s the some the weak Christian the weak sheep the children children are absolutely at our mercy you teach them wrong they believe it children believe what you tell them and I right till they start growing get a mind to think for themselves they trust their parents they trust the adult and this faith is faith in Jesus

▶ 18:52 faith in the prophets the Old Testament prophet John the Baptist prophet and faith in the twelve apostles doctrine that’s who the Bible tells us to have faith in the teachings of Christ the teachings the apostles are teaching of the prophets am I right yeah so he overthrew their faith because these guys are young they’re vulnerable they don’t understand yet and these people get them and push them right out of the church right into sin. Acts 20:30 also of your own selves here’s the sheep again shall men arise speaking perverse things to draw away disciples after them is it it’s the sheep.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

1 Corinthians 15:12-17 (NKJV)

Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up—if in fact the dead do not rise. For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!

— 1 Corinthians 15:12-17 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 16:53
Scripture (NKJV)

2 Timothy 2:17-18 (NKJV)

And their message will spread like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort, who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some.

— 2 Timothy 2:17-18 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 17:46
Scripture (NKJV)

Acts 20:30 (NKJV)

Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves.

— Acts 20:30 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 18:52

What about “science falsely so called”?

▶ Watch this part (19:45)

Short answer: 1 Timothy 6:20–21: avoid profane babblings and oppositions of science falsely so called. These sheep promote evolution; he says a God who takes millions of years for light isn’t very powerful.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 19:45 In my 40 some years of being a leader of a church [unclear] the sheep are tough and they these kind of sheep seem to have all the time in the world to visit these weak ones and and be with them I mean you know most of us work for a living and and we’re busy raising families and so forth but these sheep they just seem to have all the time in the world to. Distort and hurt young sheep. They want them to follow them first Timothy 6:20 Timothy keep that which is committed to your trust okay avoid profane and vain babblings and opposition’s of science falsely so called. which some professing have erred concerning the faith see they turn from the truth of the apostles prophets and Jesus they turn in.

▶ 20:45 The name of science and what’s the other word for science knowledge see the secular knowledge okay evolution these people will promote evolution. Well God could have taken a million years to do a one day well that’s a pretty weak God takes him a million years to let there be light. He’s supposed to be powerful almighty and yet he says let there be light but it’s going to take in billions of years or millions of years to get it done doesn’t sound like a very supernatural God to me especially when Psalms says he spoke it and it happened instantly spoke it it happened spoke it it happened amen yeah they distort these things.

Scripture in this part

Scripture (NKJV)

1 Timothy 6:20-21 (NKJV)

O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge— by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen.

— 1 Timothy 6:20-21 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 19:45

What failed predictions does he recall?

▶ Watch this part (21:37)

Short answer: The 1982 “Jupiter effect,” and prophecy teachers who picked it up; predictions of the end in 1981, 1977 and 1988; and Y2K warnings at 2000. Elders with titles only doubted him. Science has prophesied wrong too—like 11 inches of moon dust.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 21:37 Back in nineteen eighty-two this scientist the secular scientists came out and this was right after they had come out and said the ice age was coming and this that this is a secular scientists okay but when the secular scientists speak these kind of sheep pick up on it and they the Lord showed me and they start prophesying in the name of the Lord [unclear] well anyway the Jupiter effect was when all the planets lined up directly in line and these guys said that a tremendous event was going to happen to the earth the magnetic activity of the sun was going to produce huge fireballs or firestorms the ionosphere of the earth was going to change radio and television communication would be disrupted.

▶ 22:31 There will be weird lighting effects in the northern lights there will be vast changes of wind patterns rainfall and temperature patterns will change okay the earth’s rotation and the length of days will change and there will be many earthquakes these are secular scientists and I was there back in this time many earthquakes will happen especially in California. It will break off and go under the sea. All right that’s the secular scientists now I was a young Christian in the church at the time no I’m not so young I’ve been saved oh my gosh 82 I wasn’t young at all I’m getting to be an old man. So the prophets picked up on it you know.

▶ 23:25 Doug Clark and Pat Robertson. Doug Clark had a ministry down in Santa Ana called Amazing Prophecies that’s all they dealt with its prophecy and anyway he just left the flock one day he didn’t show up he just left the whole group now and chuck Smith predicted that the end would happen in 1981. 40 years less seven days from Israel becoming a nation didn’t happen okay William Branham said Jesus had come by the year nineteen seventy-seven didn’t happen all right. Anyway a lot of these prophets picked up on this Jupiter effect and. including Pat Robertson and Doug and

▶ 24:20 Nothing happened all right and there was a big letdown it was a mini disappointment a small disappointment like there was a big disappointment back in the eighteen hundreds when they tried to predict the date and it didn’t happen people sold their property quit their jobs and everything because Jesus was coming they didn’t need all that they call it the the big letdown you know. Hal Lindsey prophesied that it would and wrote a book on it Jesus would come in 1988 40 years from 1948 when Israel became a nation Kenneth Hagin and many many. Prophets in the year at the turn of the century of the year 2000.

▶ 25:12 Including Jerry Falwell all right predicted and you know that was the Y2K thing you know the Y2K computers are going to [unclear] the traffic lights are going to be a mess dams are going to flow over and all this stuff and we were in Brea at the time and the elders of the church asked me can you speak on the Y2K. Situation I said no problem I can’t see I had training in computers and besides that I did a lot of reading and I have been reading the experts on this Y2K thing and I knew the Bible all right and I showed them scripturally and scientifically why nothing would happen after I got done preaching that Sunday morning they came up you know elders with a title only are the most worthless people I’ve ever met.

▶ 26:15 Yeah you get my title they’re just worthless hey oh. Well I hope you’re right. Well I was right the year 2000 came and went nothing happened did they come back no now they’re just [unclear] sheep with a title. And that’s the worst thing you can do is give a title to a person according to [unclear] all right so anyway and also when I was in high school before they landed on the moon they told us in high school scientifically there would be 11 inches of dust when they got to the moon there were three inches of dust and literally. They change their whole approach to the creational world how old it was and everything else to adjust for the three inches when they just get there there were going to be 11 inches on the moon what I’m telling you is science has prophesied wrong too okay it’s just not the church.

What is the first missing ingredient?

▶ Watch this part (27:26)

Short answer: Hebrews 13:16: do good. Let your light shine that they may see your good works. The whole purpose of Christianity is to turn from bad works to good; these people have habitual, flagrant sin, but those born of God don’t habitually sin (1 John).

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 27:26 Now. I’m going to give you the five missing ingredients in these pushy sheep. All right and I hope you’re not one of these pushy sheep. I hope you don’t have horns. Okay you interested in seeing the five ingredient yes okay this is how you identify these boogers. Hebrews 13:16 to do good alright. Jesus said let your light so shine that they may see your what good works folks the whole purpose of christianity is to turn from bad works to good work it’s not to believe on Jesus it’s to repent turn because you believe him and he cleanses you and he saves you to do good works now he didn’t save you and have you to have faith in him to stay doing bad works amen and so these people have habitually.

But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

— Hebrews 13:16 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 27:58

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Scripture (NKJV)

1 John 3:9 (NKJV)

Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

— 1 John 3:9 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 28:42 (quoted; reference not named in the message)

What is the second missing ingredient?

▶ Watch this part (28:43)

Short answer: Communicate—koinonia, participation, partnership and fellowship. We need each other to raise children and young believers. He says America gives adults freedom to destroy kids through divorce and homosexuality. Such sacrifices please God.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 28:43 Habitual and flagrant sin in their life now all of us make some mistakes we’re growing but we don’t have habitual sin and flagrant sin. That’s what first John tells us you know when we have Christ we cannot sin we cannot habitually sin why because were born of God he keeps pulling us to good works. Christians do good not bad and these people have areas of flagrant and habitual sin in their life and look at this and to communicate forget not okay number one is do good number two is communicate the word communicate comes from the Greek word koinonia and it means to participate.

▶ 29:44 fellowship and partnership in other words we gotta work as a team. Amen we need each other we have to enter into a partnership a unity you see a unity to want to raise these children to to save them and these young of the flock as older ones must have a vision for the children and the young of the flock and partnership we need each other’s help to to get these guys to grow up to where they can be a partner in helping others amen. There’s no greater reason I want to remind you to partnership and get in unity than for children in America the children are being abused misused neglected adults are getting all the freedom I mean right now that America gives adults freedom to destroy kids they don’t care if the home stays together they don’t care what happens to the kids tomorrow.

▶ 30:54 Adults got to have their freedom they want a divorce divorce now they want to become a homosexual become homosexual [unclear] on the kids all right yeah and partnership isn’t as important that we do this okay koinonia a partnership. Participation fellowship another word for it it’s used in the Bible as fellowship how can you fellowship if you don’t come together okay fellow my fellow man ship you know we got to come together we got to work together for this and they don’t have it they have no commitment for with such sacrifices God is well pleased now what he’s saying is both of these to do good and to be in partnership with the rest of the church to build the church it’s a sacrifice a sacrifice is something you do and you really don’t want to do it you don’t want to get up on Sunday morning and come and teach children’s church or greet people when they come in or whatever oh I want to [unclear] all week.

What is the third missing ingredient?

▶ Watch this part (32:10)

Short answer: Hebrews 13:17: obey them that have the rule over you—these people are their own king. Those who take responsibility have authority, as husbands and parents do in the home and church leaders do in the church; follow the chain of command.

▶ 32:10 You see it’s a sacrifice you see I don’t want to read my Bible or pray oh yeah it’s a sacrifice you may not want to do it but you do it because it is what good. And then it is good to read your Bible isn’t it it is good to pray isn’t it yeah you see it is good. Obey them that have the rule over you these guys won’t obey anybody hardly. They’re their own king. All right now I want to submit to you that they that take the responsibility. Also have the authority. The husband in the home is given by God the responsibility of loving that wife and training those kids up in the way they should go and now right God gave them the responsibility so what comes with that responsibility the authority to do it.

▶ 33:20 Now you go to the right organized home and you don’t like what they’re doing you have to deal with the authority of the home see why because they took the responsibility they had the kids. They took the responsibility so you got to deal with them you can’t go in and talk to their kids and turn them against their parents and all that you got to follow the chain of command amen and the child belongs to the parent whether they’re adopted or whether their birth or whatever they belong to the one who took the responsibility. Alleluia and gods going to hold that one accountable. All right it’s the same way in the church Christine and Mike our young leaders have taken the responsibility of administrating this church and the school and with that taking of responsibility comes what authority we got to cooperate with them we got to work with them folks.

▶ 34:24 Can I hear an amen yeah and the church has to work with the family authority and the family authority has to work with the church authorities so that we are in unity for the greatest outcome possible for the that young child amen and in children’s church it’s the same way. Then we can’t afford to disagree stupidly we need to stay in unity and work our butt off so that these kids can grow up to be an adult and being a contribution to the community instead of a liability. Alleluia. So stop talking about Christine [unclear].. She took the responsibility she quit a very high-paying job to come and work here for peanuts and other.

Scripture (NKJV)

Hebrews 13:17 (NKJV)

Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.

What does submission mean?

▶ Watch this part (35:20)

Short answer: Submit yourself—you choose; nobody can guilt-trip you, and men who demand submission don’t have God’s nature. Leaders watch for your souls and must give an account; we are accountable for how we treat spouses and children.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 35:20 Ones have done that in the school why they got a vision for the church and they got their vision from God who has a vision for the church to [unclear] children and young believers. To grow them up to where they can wind up being someone who works and cares and contributes to the [unclear] welfare so I established that now what as we continue submit yourself and nobody can put a guilt trip on you know [unclear] woman you know in a home I hear it all the time been in this thing for 40-some years and these these redneck men [unclear] woman the Bible says submit. [unclear] I want to smack them [unclear] that is not the nature of God if they would get filled with the Holy Ghost they would get filled with God’s nature and God’s nature isn’t that way he gives you a choice am I right yes.

▶ 36:25 Hallelujah. I’m very zealous for the baptism of the Holy Ghost by the way change my life just revolutionized my life I highly recommend. Because the Holy Ghost is God it’s his spirit working in [unclear] okay I will pour out my spirit God said that [unclear] and so you submit yourself you decide to do that you decide to cooperate with Christine and Mike but anyway you do it yourself there’s no guilt trip there’s no forcing you choose to cooperate all right in the home it’s the same way you choose to cooperate with each other. And so they watch for your souls we are here to labor. For these young ones to grow in truth grow in righteousness and gain eternal life if they haven’t gotten it and our whole purpose for the church is to watch for the souls of people how this is going to work they must give an account see when you take the responsibility be a father and I saw on tv this guy had 17 kids you know he’s on welfare these women are on welfare and he boasted about having 17 kids and when they asked him well how do you justify well these women knew I couldn’t afford to raise them and and provide for them when they had sex with me and he didn’t care about these kids.

▶ 37:50 He just cared about having sex and the women didn’t care about getting pregnant having kids they just cared about having sex at the time when we are in a society that we have contraceptives and and everything else but these people they just live a spontaneous life they just do things spontaneously and yeah it’s crazy but we gotta give an account all right and so I gotta treat my wife right at home because I’m going to be held accountable how to treat my wife wives have to treat their husband right because they’re going to be held accountable. And all right and how we treat these kids is a big held accountable Jesus said it better for a rock to be hung around or millstone around your neck thrown into the sea than to offend one of these little one and so we got to take raising kids seriously.

Where does authority to rule come from?

▶ Watch this part (38:52)

Short answer: Acts 2:42: they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine, fellowship, breaking of bread and prayers. Authority comes from continuing in the apostles’ doctrine; Ephesians 2:20: built on the apostles and prophets, Jesus the chief cornerstone.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 38:52 All right we got to give an account you know how you can’t afford to just come up with your opinions. You got to know what you’re doing when you’re dealing with kids and young believers now watch this Acts 2:42 they continue here going back to Acts 2 the Holy Ghost was poured out they spoke in tongues thousands came to Christ that day from a simple sermon by Paul just a simple short sermon they continued firmly in the apostles doctrine you see these four thousand people just didn’t go back home and go okay I’m saved how they continued in what the apostles doctrine fellowship what did I tell you this word meant koinonia fellowship partnership they stayed and fellowship partnership breaking a bread the communion and prayers.

▶ 39:49 They continued in them. They weren’t just saved and then left to go on their own they were taught the apostles doctrine they continued in it and fellowship and communion and they had to come together for both fellowship in the breaking of bread than they they had assembled together. Hallelujah now here is where the authority comes from the apostles doctrine is. The authority to rule when we get out of the apostles doctrine we don’t have authority anymore. Because our authority comes. On the apostles doctrine.

▶ 40:41 Are you out there see we can’t just teach what we want to think of what we what we want to teach and what we think is right we got to teach the apostles doctrine now I’m going to confirm this with another scripture does that make sense to you yes this. Rulership comes the authority of rulership comes by continuing firmly in the apostles doctrine who taught the apostles Jesus himself so we’re continuing his word aren’t we yes now another scriptures makes it more clear Ephesians 2:20 you are built upon the foundation of the apostles [unclear] again see the Authority comes from the apostles doctrine and the prophets from Adam to Malachi the prophets we can follow them the prophets prophesied what was to come Jesus came and fulfilled what was to come and made it all clear and we used the Old Testament to clarify the new and all right and the New Testament is an amplification of clarity of the old and I was not it’s a continuous thing and Jesus.

Did Jesus mostly speak of peace?

▶ Watch this part (42:01)

Short answer: A businessman told him so; he answered with Matthew 10:34–36: I came not to bring peace but a sword; a man’s enemies will be those of his own household. Hebrews 10:24–25: consider one another to provoke to love and good works, not forsaking assembling.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 42:01 Christ himself is the chief cornerstone we follow the teachings of Christ now I was talking to a businessman this week and he says well in my opinion yeah we got to follow the words of Jesus. The rest of these apostles and prophets and all that he didn’t say apostles or prophets and he said Jesus mainly spoke of peace and he didn’t speak of destruction and ruin and all they spoke of peace more than he spoke of destruction on all that I looked at him and said you’re wrong he spoke of sin way above and the payment for sin way above any other time and I says what do you do with the scripture Jesus said don’t think that I’ve come to bring peace on earth but a sword.

▶ 43:00 Father will be divided against the son mother against the daughter mother in law against the daughter-in-law and the enemies shall be those of your what own. Household. He didn’t breathe for about 30 seconds. You know it’s easy to make statements it’s another thing to back them up with scripture. Amen. You think Jesus come to bring peace on earth he said himself the homes going to divide you the more you choose to follow Christ and do right the more divided people are going to be with you and it starts in your home. Amen. See he was a sheep that is passing on information that destroys young sheep he was just being confronted by a sheep that one young he knew I knew my Bible Hebrews 10:24 let us consider one another think carefully about think carefully anybody use their brain to think is it right to think about spiritual things yes all right think carefully consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works so the fourth thing lacking in these people is they don’t care about stirring up the young believer and the children to do good.

▶ 44:33 They just want him to believe their opinions and then he says you know love does no harm to his neighbor and good works is what we [unclear] here not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together how do we do this assembling together as the manner of some but exhorting one another encouraging inspiring one another to what love and good work so what’s the purpose here in Hebrews of the church coming together to help one another get stronger and doing good works and loving in a manner that does no harm to other people I’m you know that’s a powerful reason to come to church so all prophesy all prayer all preaching should be stirring us and the much more as you see what the day approaching are we in the end the end okay should we be assembling more to provoke one another to love and good works and to koinonia to fellowship and partnership to build the young of the flock and the children of the kingdom amen.

Can Jesus overcome all four?

▶ Watch this part (45:46)

Short answer: Romans 4:21: what he promised he is able to perform. Jeremiah 32:27: is anything too hard for me? Revelation 7:9: a great multitude no one could number from all nations stood before the throne. Stand on the apostles’ doctrine and unite.

From the sermonTranscript of this part · Pastor David G. Kincer

▶ 45:46 Now. Can Jesus overcome sheep going their own way. Can he overcome the whoever’s that causes these young ones to sin these children and the young of the flock can he overcome the shepherd’s that are scattering the flock and can he overcome the pushy sheep that scatter young sheep and children and cause them to sin is Jesus big enough to do that. Romans 4:21 what he Jesus had promised he is able to what perform one version says what Jesus promised he has the power to perform why like that he has the authority why because it’s his responsibility he has the authority Jeremiah 32:27 I am the Lord is there anything too hard for me can he save you and keep you safe yes.

▶ 46:51 Revelation 7:9 I beheld a great multitude no man could number now we see the end of all what nations tribes people and tongues stood before the throne and before the lamb clothed in white robes does he do the job yes we have the end already told us we don’t have to follow these sheep with horns we don’t have to fall into their pushiness their opinionations they’re filled with opinions amen. We need to stand on the apostles doctrine Jesus is doctrine and the doctrine of the prophets amen and we will grow and we need to unite. To get this job done.

This transcript comes from YouTube’s automatic English captions, which supply the timing and the words. Punctuation, capitalization and paragraphing were added from the speaker’s pauses and then corrected by hand, and obvious caption errors (names, Bible references) were fixed; his wording was not rewritten. “[unclear]” marks a word or name that was not clear. Editor notes: Points to check: “koinonia” called a Hebrew word in the captions (it is Greek; corrected in transcript); Peter’s Pentecost sermon attributed to “Paul” and “four thousand” saved (Acts 2:41 says about 3,000); Chuck Smith 1981 prediction, William Branham 1977, Hal Lindsey 1988 and moon-dust figures as spoken. Sensitive content kept as spoken: self-harm and suicides of young men over twisted teaching (private, unnamed); named ministers Doug Clark, Pat Robertson, Chuck Smith, William Branham, Hal Lindsey, Kenneth Hagin, Jerry Falwell; elders “most worthless people”; man with 17 children on welfare; redneck men demanding submission; homosexuality and divorce.
