70 Weeks Simplified Part 1: full transcript and answers
Gray boxes are our own short answers and summaries.
Comparing rapture charts, the teaching shows 69 weeks leading to the cross. God never wanted animal sacrifices; the Messiah confirms the new covenant. Daniel understood by reading scripture. The 70 weeks finish transgression and bring everlasting righteousness for every generation.
What charts does he show?
Short answer: Rapture theories—post-tribulation and others—with 69 weeks up to the cross.
▶ 0:00 But I have three up here. The one on the left is post-tribulation rapture theory. The one on the above is pre-tribulation rapture theory. And the one below is our Catholic Orthodox people that are a millennialist. They don’t believe there’s a tribulation seven years coming. And they don’t believe there’s an actual 10,000 years reign on earth. Okay. So which is the most popular of these three theories? This one. Cuz they outpopulate us. See, the pre-tribulation rapture theory is fairly new. All right? But very widespread in evangelical fundamental circles. Now, basically, this one here on the left just explains it all. Number one, Messiah the prince is cut off in 33 AD. Okay?
▶ 0:51 You see the cross there and you see the 69 weeks up to the cross. Then number two, the church age follows with the Gentiles grafted in to Israel’s covenant blessing. Actually, that wasn’t Israel’s covenant blessing. That was the new covenant for all people. Okay. Then down here below you have after the Messiah, after he dies in 70 AD, the destruction of the temple with 1 million Jews killed and hundreds of thousands taken into slavery to other parts of the world. And then again in 135 AD, the Jews decided they were going to sacrifice animals again. They just couldn’t believe this Jesus stopped sacrifices. So they started trying to force Rome to let them keep their own religion of sacrificing animals and the feast and all that malarkey that God gave us.
▶ 1:46 Shadow laws pointing to the truth. And so the Romans came in again and slaughtered over a half a million of them and stopped the sacrifices. Again, that is all historical facts. Then you got what we call the gap. And then over here on the right, you will have seven years of tribulation, which is the 70th week. And then up here at the pre-tribulation, you got the gap again. Okay. What they did is they took one week of the 70 weeks, moved it all the way down to the end time and said that’s seven years of tribulation uh before Christ comes again. Now, your post tribulation people only have Jesus coming one time. Your pre-tribulation people have him coming two more times.
▶ 2:38 And there’s nowhere in the Bible that says Jesus is coming anymore than one more time. You got to know these things. All right. Then you have the 70 week starts the seven-year of peace agreement to rebuild the temple. Why does God want to rebuild a shadow law, a shadow example, a model of the real thing to come when the real thing has come? Are you with me? See, they have to fabricate these things because they come up with an idea and then they try to fit it into Bible scriptures. All right. Number six, the seven years of peace agreement is broken. The temple worship is stopped. Well, God don’t want temple worship of sacrifices and animals and feast and and all that stuff anyway.
Scripture in this part
Daniel 9:24-27 (NKJV)
“Seventy weeks are determined For your people and for your holy city, To finish the transgression, To make an end of sins, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting righteousness, To seal up vision and prophecy, And to anoint the Most Holy. “Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street shall be built again, and the wall, Even in troublesome times. “And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined. Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.”
— Daniel 9:24-27 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 0:00Did God want animal sacrifices?
Short answer: No—who told you to bring animal sacrifices to me? Protestants still borrow ideas.
▶ 3:35 He said in Isaiah chapter 1, “Who told you to bring animal sacrifices to me? I don’t want the blood of animals. Your feast, your new moons, your Sabbaths, they’re an abomination to me. I want you to stop doing evil and do right.” See, Bible morality is what he’s always been after. Can I hear an amen? Amen. Now, why would he want to go back and put it in his time schedule the shadows the examples of heavenly things? He This is man-made stuff. Totally man-made stuff. Then the return of Jesus at the end of Daniel’s 70 weeks. That’s the post-tribulation theory. Why is it a theory? Because it has a lot of flaws. Pre-tribulation has more flaws.
▶ 4:28 A lot more flaws. It’s basically the same thing. Okay. Only they have Jesus coming and rapturing the church so they don’t go through the tribulation. Isn’t that nice and sweet? Yeah. Jesus said in this world you will have tribulation. In Matthew 24 it says after the great tribulation then you shall see the sign of the son of man coming. After what? The tribulation. So obviously we’re going to have tribulation in this world, right? Okay. Then down here you got the Catholic and the Orthodox view. It’s interesting. They’re omalist. They say that the abomination of desolation ca came up here when the general the Greek general came and sacrificed uh pig and stopped the sacrifices in about 167 BC.
▶ 5:20 So they say that’s already done. Then the destruction of the temple was another uh destruction, desolation. Then they got the new heaven and new earth. Now, Revelations make that pretty clear that it’s not now. Ain’t that right? Because the new heaven and earth don’t have water, for instance. All the water goes. Everything, as you know, it’s been renovated by fire. This building’s gone. Fire just burns it up. Bang. Bow. But I understand their their their approach. I understand Christ brought in a new covenant, a new way. And if you live in his way, you do experience a new heaven where God abides and a new earth where you have dominion over sin. All right. Then they got the Protestant Bible coming in.
▶ 6:11 What’s that magic word? Protestant. Us people who are not Roman Catholics. Woo boy. They got us coming in. Martin Luther and then they got down here strong delusion. That’s what the Bible says. He’ll give them strong delusions that they’ll believe a lie. So all of us Protestants are in a strong delusion. We’re in a big lie. There are 30,000 Protestant denominations. They say uh most people say there’s 20,000. We gain every year. Us Protestants, you know, we’ll we’ll make a church at the drop of a hat. You know, we come up with a new idea. Okay, we’ll start a new denomination. But that’s the all millennials. Now Daniel 9:26 and 27. After 62 weeks shall Messiah be cut off. He’s going to die. He’s going to be killed not for himself but for the sins of the whole world.
▶ 7:02 Ain’t that right? Behold the lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. See now the people of the prince that shall come. I have that in purple because that’s a human kingly throne guy leader. That prince will destroy the city. The people of the prince, the host, the army of the prince shall destroy the city and the sanctuary, and the end thereof shall be with a flood. And unto the end of the war, desolations are determined. Now, from here on is where the two camps divide. All right? The camp that says the he is talking about the Messiah and the camp that says that the he is talking about the prince that is to come. Are you with me? You understand what I’m saying? Okay. I I went into their websites.
▶ 7:54 I got all their information and and uh this is what divides the camps. It’s who the he is talking about. See if you believe that he is Messiah or if you believe that he is the prince. Now the pre-tribulationists believe that he is the prince. The post-tribulationists believe that he is the prince. The mid-tribulationists believe that he is the prince. And the pre-rath theory believes that he is the prince. The Catholics and the Orthodox don’t believe that. All right. Now, let’s watch this. He shall confirm the covenant with many for one week.
Scripture in this part
Isaiah 1:11-12 (NKJV)
“To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me?” Says the LORD. “I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fed cattle. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, Or of lambs or goats. “When you come to appear before Me, Who has required this from your hand, To trample My courts?
— Isaiah 1:11-12 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 3:35Who confirms the covenant?
Short answer: The Messiah—God promised a new covenant; confirm means proof; there is no added “he” for an antichrist.
▶ 8:45 Let me submit to you. God promised a new covenant. Confirm means proof, evidence. Now, you’re going to tell me an earthly king is going to do something to prove that the new covenant has been initiated. No way. Only Jesus can come and prove by fulfilling all the prophecies. Just common sense tells you that. Isn’t that right? You’re looking at me kind of funny here. And in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and offerings to cease. Now the truth is a princely king did stop the Greek general did stop the sacrifices for a short season and the Romans did it in 70 AD and again in 134 AD and they haven’t been doing it since.
▶ 9:51 Animal sacrifices, the feast, the new moons, and the Sabbaths are an abomination to me. Why do people want to go back to the types and the shadows when they got the real thing is beyond my coranial understanding? It’s Jesus. This thing is about Jesus. This thing is about the Messiah. Don’t get hung up on the weeks and the years and the days. Everything in Daniel is pointing to Jesus Christ. And Gabriel is making it plain to Daniel what all the prophets said, what all his vision said about Jesus Christ. Can I hear him? A amen. Yeah. Now, for the overspreading of abominations and Jesus stopped the sacrifices and offerings when he died on the cross.
▶ 10:45 He was the one and only last sacrifice and offering. Ain’t that right? Isn’t that what the Bible teaches us? He stopped animal sacrifices. The shadow, the model of the real thing to come for the overspreading of abominations. He shall make it desolate. Okay? Because of sin, he’s going to destroy the Jews, their temple, their city, and their nation. Even until the consummation or the complete destruction and that determined, that officially decided on shall be poured out upon the desolate, which is the Jewish nation. Now the interesting thing here is all those white letters up there are not in the Hebrew Bible.
▶ 11:41 There is no he shall there. You just take those out and there is no pronoun he in the verses. And what is the subject of a paragraph? Is it the last sentence or the first sentence? Yeah. Who’s talked about first here? The Messiah. Who’s the most important thing that we need to focus on? The Messiah. Who conquers the prince of this world? The Messiah. Who cares about him? Why do we lift this guy up and call him the Antichrist, the beast, and the son of predition? Nowhere in Daniel does it say he is the antichrist. Nowhere in the Bible does it say the son of predition is the antichrist.
▶ 12:34 Nowhere. They just assume that when they talk. Nowhere in the Bible does it say the temple will be rebuilt again. Nowhere. But they have to have it rebuilt so that this mystical prince can stop the sacrifices again. The truth is this entire gap 7-year period of great tribulation theory is a major misconception and will probably go down in history as the biggest evangelical fundamentalist misinterpretation of scripture. Thus sayith Dave. As I read the Bible and studied it, I began to see what Jesus said about the end time. I began to see what scriptures clearly said about the end time.
▶ 13:32 And Jesus plainly said that as it was in the days of Lot and the days of Noah, so shall the coming of the son of man be. They were buying and selling. That’s tribulation. They were married and given into marriage. That’s tribulation. Some married people are nodding their head. Yeah. Yeah. I’m just kidding. They’re not nodding their head. See, they’re buying this. They’re eating and drinking. Eating and drinking. How many enjoy eating and drinking? Yeah. Pizza, soda. Yeah. Pasta. Yeah. That’s tribulation. But you see these people paint a picture of something so obviously eventful that no one in their right mind would reject Christ.
Scripture in this part
Daniel 9:27 (NKJV)
Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.”
— Daniel 9:27 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 8:45How did Daniel understand?
Short answer: By being in the scriptures—God is the same, and we’re accountable.
▶ 14:31 But when he comes and and Jesus said this, they didn’t know the judgment come was coming until it come. And they had been told Noah had preached for 100 years. Lot went in and told them that the city’s going to be they laughed at him and said, “You got to be joking.” They had been told and yet they didn’t believe. Why? Because nothing with great signs and wonders was was evident to show something drastic was coming. The 70 weeks of Daniel, I submit to you, is not about the Antichrist. It’s not about the son of predition. It’s not about the seven years of tribulation. It’s not about the rapture. It’s not about the temple sacrifices being reinstituted. It’s about God correcting people, his people, for violating Bible morality.
▶ 15:26 It’s about God telling us to follow Jesus Christ and his standard of morality. Amen. Bible morality has successful solutions, but you got to find them. Here in Daniel 9:21, while I was praying, the angel Gabriel came, the one that gave me the vision at the beginning. He touched me and he talked to me and he informed me and he said, “I am come to give you skill and understanding. I want you to understand the matter for this reason. I want you to understand the matter and consider. Think through the vision. Think through the vision.
▶ 16:18 Man, if we would just take time to think. Now, I want to show you biblical proof that Jesus told us what the abomination of the desolation was. I want to give you biblical proof. Are you ready? Matthew 24:15. Jesus said, “When you see the abomination of desolation spoken by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, the city of Jerusalem. Whosoever reads, let him understand.” Now, where did we hear that phrase? Gabriel telling Daniel to understand these visions. Consider, think through these visions and what you have read. See, he just read in Jeremiah and understood the 70 years, but he didn’t understand the 70 weeks.
▶ 17:15 See, he got understanding by being in the scriptures. See, we got to get our understanding by being in the scripture. And then we got to have the Holy Spirit opening up the understanding of his word to us, the vision. And Jesus repeats what Gabriel said. So we know he’s talking about what? The abomination of desolation that Daniel was given by Gabriel. Is that an amen? Now Luke 21:20, he plainly tells us now what the abomination of the desolation is. When you see Jerusalem circled by armies, then know that the desolation thereof is near. So it is a coming thing. In 70 AD, the Rome surrounded Jerusalem and destroyed the city and the temple.
▶ 18:12 Just totally destroyed it. Carried away the temple vessels, the ark of the covenant, the I not the ark of the covenant. They hid that uh the candlestick and all they that they carried them to Rome. All the vessels, the golden vessels, the silver vessels, everything was carried to Rome. And there’s an ark in Rome that has the picture of them bringing the captives and the vessels and stuff to Rome. There’s an arch called the Titus arch. Are you there? So, we have natural proof. We We got spiritual proof. You see, we know that the abomination of desolation was told us by Jesus Christ himself. Bible morality, impartial, fair justice.
▶ 19:05 That’s why the humanist, the liberals, the atheists, the homosexuals, the hedenist, the humanist, they all hate the Bible and they undermine the Bible. Why? Because it’s impartial. They want to sin and the Bible says, “No, you don’t have any special privileges.” That’s why religious people don’t like the Bible. And they want to come up with their own interpretation. Because they don’t want to be told how to live. And this is the very reason the Jews were punished twice. They were punished twice with desolation. Bible morality. Not their faith in God. It was their lifestyle, their moral choices.
▶ 20:01 Now, if God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, are we held accountable for the same standard,. Are we? You don’t say that very confidently, but you are. Yeah. Thank God for the blood that can cleanse us after we’re believers. Amen. That we can we can correct our mistakes. Now, here we go. 70 weeks are decreed official order upon your people and your holy city. Whose people? Daniel’s. Who was Daniel? A Jew. God’s chosen people to take the message to the world. You know, they had the responsibility to take the message to the world, don’t you? I don’t have time to teach that. But not just to serve God, but to take it to the nations. Yeah.
▶ 20:53 And the holy city. God made the Jews a holy people by choosing them to be his messenger. And he chose Jerusalem to put his temple there and his presence there. All right. So the 70 years is talking about what? The Jews and their holy city, their holy temple and their holy nation. 70 weeks. All right? Now 70 weeks can be 490 years because we find in Genesis 29:27, Laban told Jacob, “Fulfill Rachel’s week and we will give you Rachel for this service which you shall serve me yet seven other years.” So a week was considered what?
▶ 21:47 Seven years. So we can use 490 years, you know. Now, it’s only in there one time and slightly another. It’s not a great thing. So don’t get hung up on the time period is what I’m trying to tell you. Get hung up on the message. Okay. Now, what is decreed? All right. To finish or complete the transgression, to make an end of sins. All right? To make reconciliation and atonement for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal the vision and the prophecy, and to anoint the most holy or the sanctuary. Now, who cares about the 70 weeks when these things are going to be done?
Scripture in this part
Daniel 9:2 (NKJV)
in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the LORD through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
— Daniel 9:2 (NKJV)▶ Hear it at 17:15What do the 70 weeks accomplish?
Short answer: Finish transgression, make an end of sins, bring everlasting righteousness—for every generation.
▶ 22:44 Okay, complete the transgression. When that desolation is done, they are paying the price for their sin. Okay? The transgression of desolation that he talked about, it’s over. There’s no more price. Okay? Make an end of sins is the same word as seal up the vision. End is the same word when you seal up something. In those days, the king had a senate, a design that when he hit the wax, that design was went into the wax or ink showing that this was proof that this came from the king. And whatever was in that scroll, that news, that commandment, that law was done.
▶ 23:42 It was a law. It happens. It’s done. Ain’t that beautiful? Now, Jesus, the Bible says that the wages of sin is what? Death. But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. See, Jesus made a way for us not to be punished for the wages of sin. Can I hear an amen? Yeah. This is about Jesus. It’s not about the 70 weeks. And he never says when the 70 weeks started. He just said there’s decreed 70 weeks, 490 years. So, you can get into your little numerology all you want. But where do you start this? Make reconciliation or atonement for iniquity.
▶ 24:36 Did Jesus do that? One time for all times. Isn’t that right? One sacrifice, one atonement forever. No more sheep, no more lambs, no more cows, no more bulls. Jesus became it. He He was the atonement. And first John 1 tells us he was the atonement, the prep per prop per prop per prop per prop per prop per propitiation per prop of per our sin. Prop per prop per Bring prop in everlasting righteousness. Now the post-tribulation, the midtribulation, the and the pre-tribulationist say that we don’t have everlasting righteousness. Now people are still sinning. Folks, Jesus brought in eternal righteousness, one sacrifice forever for sin. There’s not going to be another atonement.
▶ 25:29 It’s eternal. It’s for every generation. It’s when we go into the heavenlies to live with Christ forever. It’s everlasting righteousness. Whether we live up to it or not doesn’t change the power that he brought everlasting righteousness. Amen. Amen. They’re just flat out wrong here. You can’t come up with your little ideas and then bend everything to fit into it. Seal up the vision in the prophecy. When Jesus died on the cross, what was his last words? It is finished. Why did he say that? Because it was finished. See his finishing the transgression, making an end of sins, making the atonement, bringing in everlasting righteousness, anointing the most holy.
▶ 26:23 He did it on that cross. Bam. And everything he did leading up to the cross. Can I hear an amen? That’s why this man Jesus is so important to the church. That’s why you need to say Jesus bless you instead of God bless you. Because the problem that people don’t like out there is this man Jesus. Because this man Jesus automatically stands for moral uh Bible morality. And you say God, you could be talking about a Hindu God, a Allah God, a Muslim God. But when you say Jesus, they know exactly who you’re talking about. When I was down there protesting the homosexuals, the media came up to me, three of them, and says, “Why are you calling homosexual criminals? Why are you saying they’re liars? Why are you saying they’re bashers? Why are you saying they’re haters? They were the the homosexuals was right next to me, 3 ft away.
▶ 27:17 I looked over there and there’s their leaders, you know, lesbians and adults and homosexual adult men. And I looked at them and I said, “Is Jesus God?” Man, they’re over here. And they repeat back, “No.” I said, “Oh, he’s not.” Huh? God says he’s God. Jesus says he’s God. The Bible said he’s God. But you who put your tongue in another man’s butthole. Who puts your penis in another man’s butthole and then you take it out and put it in his mouth. You say he’s not God. And that makes you the one that has the truth. You say, “Man, that is detailed disc.” Yes, they need to hear it. They know what they’re doing. You people live in a in a sheltered world.
▶ 28:11 I got to deal with these people. I’ve got to They give me the details of what they’re doing. I got to tell them they’re wrong. I got to tell them they got to repent. And how am I going to get them to change if I tell them they’re right? You don’t repent of something you’re right about. You repent of something you’re wrong about. And then I said, “The media, see, they are liars. They are bashers. They are haters of Jesus, the Bible, and anyone that agrees with it. They’re liars. They lie when they say that animals, 400 some species of animals have homosexual activity. I went to their website. There’s not one animal putting his penis in another male animal. There’s not one female animal licking the vagina of another female animal.
▶ 29:05 They’re just simply cuddling like hurting instincts do. It’s the biggest lie. I said, “See, they are liars.” And it all opened up when I asked them who Jesus was. You see, you ask the Muslim who Jesus is. Is Jesus God? That’s the question. Is Jesus God? That separates? Are you with me, church? This thing is about Jesus and we need to be talking about Jesus. And we need to give the world the moral standards of Jesus.
