▶ 0:00 We’re gonna continue talking about the birth of Jesus this morning and we’re eight days after he was born. His first eight days is centered around this temple he comes to the temple to be circumcised as we taught last Sunday circumcision is of the heart to make you sensitive to the things of God to spiritual things so while he’s here being circumcised. We’re going to find 10 things. 10 real experiences. By fact not by faith not by grace amazing grace is wonderful but without Jesus grace is nothing.

▶ 1:00 Faith is wonderful but without Jesus your faith is worthless Jesus is the reason for the season and so Jesus is getting circumcised to fulfill all the shadow laws and meaning he wants to circumcise our heart to make us sensitive to the things of God beautiful it’s just a beautiful truth but this morning we’re going to find 10 experiences. By fact not by faith not by grace remember Job said I know my redeemer lives he didn’t say I believe my redeemer lives this was before the Bible was clearly. Defining that Jesus Christ was coming to be the redeemer but Job knew his redeemer redeemer lived and Job knew that after he died.

▶ 2:00 Job said after I died and my body is eaten with worms I will see him at the last day Job knew there would be a resurrection, Job knew that his body would come out of the grave and he would see his redeemer the Lord Jesus Christ with his own eyes amen and so we’re going to take a look at 10 real experiences not that you believe you have them but you have them number one Simeon. Was a just and devout man. Okay.

▶ 2:47 There are people that say all of sinned and come short of the glory of God there’s none righteous no not one and they’re implying that they we have to sin that’s what the fundamentalist really believed they believed that you know you can’t live a righteous life that you can’t keep from sinning and yet you go to your Bible there was all kinds of people in the Bible that were righteous are you there and here’s one up Simeon was what just right just means right and he stood for right okay and he was devout he was sold out to the things of God do you want to be sold out to the things of God do you want God to bring you to a place where you stand for right no matter what yes this guy was at that place he.

▶ 3:43 Possessed. Righteousness he possessed godliness a heart after God number two he was waiting for the consolation of Israel he knew that the messiah was coming. That’s the consolation of Israel the comforting of Israel the messiah was going to come he knew the messiah was going to come and he was waiting for it how many of you know Jesus gonna come again and we don’t know that time of the season like everybody acts like they do because the Bible says we don’t know but we know he’s coming don’t we are you look for the coming of Christ whether it comes in your lifetime or not you know he’s coming amen alright. Just as I go over these ten things just take a note how many of these you possess.

▶ 4:43 And if you don’t you can possess them number three. The Holy Ghost was upon him he didn’t believe in the Holy Ghost. He didn’t have faith that the Holy Ghost was upon him he what experienced the Holy Ghost upon him and this is before Acts 2 where it was poured out on all flesh this guy had it before it was poured out on the day of Pentecost I mean you know you can experience things before they’re seasoned if you seek God. Amen this guy was filled with the Holy Ghost so what did the Holy Ghost do. Remember the Holy Ghost convicts of sin righteousness and the judgment to come if you really got the Holy Ghost he is not going to allow you to keep flagrantly sinning and living wrong just doesn’t work if you got run of the mouth disease he’s gonna zip your lip and okay.

He’s gonna lead you into all truth if you say you got the Holy Ghost and you’re not reading your Bible instead in your Bible you got nothing but a ghost. Are you there the Holy Ghost will drive you into the word and these people say they got the Holy Ghost because they believe they got the Holy Ghost and there is no fruit of the Holy Ghost in their life they don’t read the Bible they don’t study Bible come on they don’t live a holy life what’s the first name of the Holy Ghost holy his first name is Holy Ghost Holy Spirit amen so he’s going to drive you to live holy treat your wife right cheat your husband right teacher children right teacher parents right he’s going to drive you to do that and Simeon had it and he’ll show you things to come and he will glorify Jesus he was seeing that the season of Christ’s coming was in his lifetime he had all of these things of the Holy Ghost.

▶ 7:18 All right number four it was revealed to him by who the Holy Ghost not a much study not some book in the Christian bookstore. But it was revealed to him by the Holy Ghost that he would not die before he seen the lord’s Christ the lord’s anointed one the lord’s messiah he would seem like Job with his own eyes the Holy Ghost told him that. And that’s what it says the Holy Ghost up here will show you things to come. Right now we’re talking about the end time about what we read in the Christian bookstore the Holy Ghost doesn’t have to go to your local Christian bookstore to know what’s going to happen at the end time do you understand that alleluia.

Revealed to him by the Holy Ghost you remember in first Corinthians 14:6 Paul said how shall I profit you unless I speak to you by number one Revelation number two by knowledge number three by prophecy or number four about teaching say all of those are. Rivers of the Holy Ghost uh pterence and Revelation is the uncovering of something hidden and the Holy Ghost uncovered. That the messiah was here and the messiah was in the temple and to go to that temple that’s Revelation. Amen you don’t read that in the scriptures you.

▶ 9:08 Read that he’s coming but you don’t know the time and the day and worries that like Simeon did by the Holy Ghost Simeon go to the temple the messiah the Christ is there. Nowhere in the scriptures does it save the day in the hour but the Holy Ghost showed it to it how many want that kind of Holy Ghost in your life amen and it’s promised to us it is promised to us so he had all the expressions of the Holy Ghost now number five he came by the what spirit if you got the Holy Ghost and you’re letting him lead you he’s going to bring you to the temple of God the temple of God is not this building I showed you there was no women’s court in God’s shadow temple men added this woman’s court and this is where Jesus was circumcised and so forth this is where all this is going on right here in this court in God’s Old Testament shadow and type there’s no women’s court.

▶ 10:25 There’s only an inner court there’s not a [unclear] court. Are you with me and that’s what we do as humans we we add things to God’s word we. We design things we think they should be and then we expect God to ordain it and God to bless it but if we want the ordination and we want the blessing we need to do it his way could that be an amen yes. Now and they were there he was there when the parents brought Jesus to be circumcised after the custom the law you say now you got to understand this church the high priest was here the Sanhedrin the 50 or 70 leaders of the Jewish community were here.

▶ 11:22 The priests like Zechariah do [unclear] court sacrificing animals and all that were here they were there the porters who watch the gates and everything they were there. But one man. Came to see Jesus. One man now I remember in John it says that all these things were written he says if they if all the books were written of all that Jesus taught and all that Jesus did the heavens couldn’t contain the books but these books are written the gospels were written that you might believe and in believing you might have eternal life so what am I saying I’m saying that a lot of things could have been going on here that he didn’t write down there could have been other simians we don’t know he only wrote enough for what us to believe and obtain eternal life and folks eternal life is the key I got these banners all over this place the gospel is about eternal life it’s not about prosperity it’s not about success it’s not about making you happy it’s not about any of these things that are being pushed today the gospel is about Jesus Christ giving you eternal life amen.

▶ 12:54 That’s the gospel how many want to live forever yeah. We got to quit getting deviated from that message all right now. None of these priests came out to see Jesus none of these priests even knew he was there. Number six number five do you have a heart for the assembly of God’s people the Bible says forsake not the assembling of yourself together even the more so as you see the day approaching the end time approaching provoking one another to what love and to do good works provoking stirring one another encouraging one another to live right and to do good is there anything wrong with that no say we don’t come for a soul we don’t come for a band we don’t come for socializing we don’t come to find a mate or a date we come for a lot to get provoked stirred up to live right and do good works and there’s a group out there saying that it’s not by works it’s not by works you’re not saved by works oh shut your mouth please do not discourage people any longer about good works good works are good amen it doesn’t help my children my wife

▶ 14:24 or any of you if I only have faith and I’m out here going out on my wife and I’m squandering money and I’m getting drunk and tattooed and getting charged up on drugs what good is my faith it’s my good works that’s going to help my family my children and my community and my brothers and sisters and I got a knee man so tell him to shut up. Guitar to hearing these people that don’t know their Bible they don’t know God talking about what they don’t know about could that be an amen. My wife wants to be treated good I want her to treat me good don’t tell me good works don’t tell me works aren’t in this yes it is it’s not the works of the shadowlaw that’s what they don’t understand they don’t understand the difference between the shadow law and the real laws we’re not under shadow laws things that point to the real thing we’re under the real thing amen.

▶ 15:23 Number six I hope you have a heart for the assembling of God’s people because millions out there won’t come to church all they do is attack it they don’t get ahold of God and come in with something to change the church they just criticize it boy that was a good statement did you catch that yeah anybody can sit out there and criticize get involved in the church and help it grow. Number six he took up Jesus in his arms he went right to this one the Mary he knew picked up the baby and she let him die a woman a mother lets some stranger take their baby on that’s not normal. They slap you upside your head what are you doing but he went over in God’s time and he took that baby from Mary embraced him held him in his arms do you love Jesus folks.

▶ 16:24 Or do you love faith do you love grace or do you love Jesus are you looking for faith are you looking for grace are you looking for Jesus. Simeon was looking for Jesus. Do you look for Jesus at home in your prayer time in the Bible and when you come to church are you looking for Jesus you’re looking for a handsome boy a beautiful girl a nice music group. Are you there.

▶ 17:07 And he blessed God the Bible says I will bless the Lord on what all times his praise shall continually be in my mouth Simeon when he found Jesus he embraced him and he praised and blessed God you were told this morning God inhabits the praises of his people praise is so important blessing him is so important it not only brings his presence it keeps you in the right frame of mind because you can’t say anything bad about Jesus if you’re gonna say anything about Jesus it’s got to be good because Jesus is only good hey man and you start talking about Jesus instead of your problems you’re going to be feeding your mind and your spirit with good holiday and he blessed the Lord are you a worshiper are you appraiser will you lift your hands in your voice under the Lord and bless him are you gonna win timmy it’s not my style you need to experience these things in God could that be an amen.

▶ 18:23 This is all found in Luke chapter 2 I trust you’ve read the source number 7 my eyes have seen your salvation. Prepared before the face of what he knew that salvation was not just for the Jews. It was for everybody. Before Jesus started preaching this guy knew what Jesus was going to be preaching are you there folks don’t you want that kind of relationship with God that you know and experience things before they even happen. You don’t have to wait for the megachurch pastors to tell you what’s going on the Holy Ghost knows what’s going on there’s no book like the Bible and there is no person like the Holy Spirit to open that book and you will know what’s going on.

▶ 19:26 Hallelujah. Now. If you’re unsaved today he wants to save you if you are saved today and you’re not doing too good he wants to overhaul you. Sometimes we need an overhaul have me ever needed an overhaul yeah yeah a new engine I. Haven’t been putting a change into all right I’ve been doing things I need a new engine Lord I need a new didn’t he say he’d give you a new spirit yeah sometimes we need that spirit refreshed and renewed in us. Hallelujah all. The people don’t get in a little corral thinking you’re it or you’re the group you’re in is it God is out for the whole world yeah a light.

▶ 20:25 To lighten the Gentiles he’s telling us who all these people are the unbeliever and the glory of your people Israel the believers you see Israel believed but they didn’t do what they believed so they needed salvation to you see faith without works is dead. There’s no life there’s no eternal life in faith without works. Now aliyah so he has to come to his people and save them. Amen aren’t you glad he can save you after you’ve been saved yes ah. Number eight Simeon blessed them that’s the parents and said unto Mary his mother behold this child is set for the rise and falling again of many in Israel God’s people.

▶ 21:24 Jesus said they that he he was the chief cornerstone and they that fall on him will be broken like a horse is broken it’s wild won’t do what you say you break him then he what obeys. He’s profitable see they that fall on the rock they that fall on Jesus they that go to Jesus will be broken he’s going to bring you in obedience to him hidden that beautiful and see Simeon knew that before Jesus preached it he knew that that’s amazing. Because us pentecostals and charismatic we always go to x2 the Holy Ghost hadn’t been poured out yet this is a pretty good solid Holy Ghost this guy’s God don’t you think a lot.

▶ 22:20 More solid and some of those Pentecostal and charismatic [unclear]. Could that be an amen. How many appreciate being able to come and fall before Christ and have him bring you back in to obedience amen bring you back in restore you bring you back in hallelujah but they that don’t fall Jesus said the rock will fall on them and grind them to powder. One way another he’s gonna get you I say go the easy way just fall before him and let him break you don’t wait till he has to come and crush ever hard area in your life the powder and then put you back together are you there in that beautiful and Simeon and nobody knows this stuff.

▶ 23:24 And this child is for a sign which we spoken against he knew they would call him Beelzebub he knew they would mistreat him and try to kill him they knew that he knew that they would test him at his word trying to twist his words around and accuse him falsely accusing Simeon knew it before Jesus grew up and it happened. Church don’t you think the church today could have that kind of impact if we saw God like Simeon did absolutely that’s a big difference you’re in there hallelujah. So how many of these things so far do you have. How many of these things do you want.

▶ 24:19 All right and I’m gonna skip the parentheses because this child is a sign. Which will be spoken against. So the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed he is going to come by his Holy Spirit and expose your innermost thinking. And now what the Bible says the word of the Lord is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword dividing asunder the flesh from the spirit separating the flesh from the spirit and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. So you can hide it from us but you can’t hide your inner thoughts from him.

▶ 25:17 Alleluia. He’ll go right to the depths of the earth the heart your thoughts to change you just let him do it don’t shut the door on him let him let him come in and examine you and change you then I’ll go back the sword shall prove pierce through your own soul also talking to Mary okay the sword is the word of the Lord and Mary needed God just like everybody else. She wasn’t any special person above anybody else. If God chooses to use you it doesn’t make you anything special and the catholic church needs to understand that are you with me hallelujah it’s not Mary its Jesus it’s not grace it’s Jesus it’s not faith it’s Jesus it’s not the prophets it’s Jesus it’s not the great speakers of today it’s Jesus can I hear an amen for Jesus hallelujah.

▶ 26:22 Now that’s a to them. Now. There’s a woman that’s already in the temple. Her name is Anna and she’s old she’s over a hundred years old I mean a hundred years old and she’s in the temple serving God at a hundred years old she didn’t retire. Hello church are you in this for the totality of your life are you gonna retire somewhere in the future from the things that go. Are you hearing me are you hearing the word this woman was a prophetess.

▶ 27:19 Having a know to be a prophetess you got to speak and to be a prophetess you got to speak by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit so here we have the Holy Spirit again in this hundred year old woman. You’re looking at me like how do you notice he’s a hundred just due to mass. It’s right there and the scriptures just do the math. She was of great ate and he she had lived with a husband seven years for her from her virginity and she was a widow of four score and four years that’s 84 years plus living with her husband plus before she got married that puts her over 100 years old.

▶ 28:15 That may want to be live to be over 100 years old. Yeah and and be alert like this woman this woman knew I was going on she wasn’t hobbling around and all dizzy and confused woman knew what was happening. Now. She served God wow do you serve God I. Mean do you really serve God not like oh I serve the Lord at no where is the evidence that you are serving the Lord you are a slave of Jesus Christ you. Get the drift any back and say I serve Jesus really this woman backs it up she served the Lord where in the temple where is she prophesying in the temple what does the fundamentalist say women shut up in the house of God and then what they say women cannot speak.

▶ 29:30 Yes he spoke in the house of God in the assembly of the people she spoke to all these people out here who weren’t worthy to go in here she is out here prophesied to him every day. He said we take a scripture that we don’t understand when Paul wrote that he was talking about women not a serpent authority over their husband and that’s plain in the scriptures the husband’s as directly under the authority of Christ the wife is directly under authority the husband and because it didn’t use husband it didn’t use the word wife it used the word woman which is the same word in the greek. But down in the next verse it says you know ask your husband at home so what’s the context the context is wives don’t make your husband look foolish in the church.

▶ 30:27 You know if he’s wrong go home and talk to him about it at home. Is that a good amen yeah. [unclear] had daughters several daughters that prophesy. Now how they heard where did she / where did these daughters prophesy in the assembly of the church and I can go on and on and on but you know. Being something in God has nothing to do with your genitals do you understand that. See that’s natural understanding. It’s who you are in God and if you got something to say I want to hear if you haven’t got anything to say just shut up don’t waste my time.

She served God in the temple all these Christians out there don’t go to church they don’t go to assemble together and have to rub shoulders with people that irritates them and drives him nuts. That’s a cop-out that’s the easy way out you’re supposed to bring something to church Simeon brought something to this emily didn’t he Anna she brought something to the people didn’t you why don’t you get something and bring it with you instead of sitting out there criticizing the rest of us who are trying to find God could have been amen. And. She served God with fasting and prayers night and day do you ever fast do you ever pray do you ever read the word. She backed up serving God with action how many believe we should back up serving God with action yes if you haven’t made this one part of your package get it that’s number 10.

▶ 32:30 She coming in that instant gave thanks here she is praising the Lord she just like Simeon. She’s exactly like Simeon. She praise the Lord gave thanks. And spoke of him. What all of them she prophesied. All of them that looked for redemption in Israel listen to me I told you the priests weren’t looking for him they. Didn’t know he was there. Simeon or nobody knew Jesus was there and went looking for him Anna on nobody an old woman on oh hey a hundred years old ugly as sin probably wrinkles all over the place and everything else to here she is in there by cracky God God God son is here.

▶ 33:27 Matthias yeah yeah. You know we think that eloquent speakers have got to speak to us with $500 suits on and driving rolls-royce ever shuttle cars and all this stuff no these are nobodies that had Revelation before. Everyone else had it amen they talked about Jesus before Jesus started fulfilling him to his own purpose. So folks what is what is the scripture town to tell us there’s other folks in this. Temple that we’re looking for. The redeemer they were also looking for the redeemer to come.

▶ 34:21 One just two people. There were those that didn’t care and didn’t want the redeemer coming they would talk about him coming but they weren’t wanting to follow him they just wanted the money and the recognition but there were people in that temple that were also looking for Jesus Christ the redeemer amen. Do you have a heart. Look the arm the priest beyond church leaders and focused totally in on Jesus do you come to the house of God for Jesus and when you meet with him do you speak of him and bless the people by the words of your mouth. Amen church ten things beautiful just absolutely beautiful.

▶ 35:21 Joseph and his mother marveled at those things which are spoken of him they had to learn through these people about their own son out. Of the church. We can’t be silent Christians the only way that world out there is going to have a chance to meet Jesus and be saved is us talking and talking because we got something to say we’ve met Jesus we know him we know his purpose and we want to share him with you we want you to embrace Jesus like we do like Paul said I would Herod that you were free like me except for these chains I wished you knew God like I did heard except for these chains you put me within chains amen.

▶ 36:21 These two went to God’s house already kind of circumcised in their heart as a musicians come we got about five minutes to meet with God. Okay they already came. Circumcised in their heart before Jesus ever preached it or anything else these guys had it. And I was telling someone this week you can grow before you go to church by reading and studying and seeking God in his word you can go to church with something and you can go to church with the knowledge when they say something you know it’s wrong and you and know it’s right and you can back it up. These people did it they were sensitive to Jesus and his word with a responsive heart. You.
